I am so sorry your getting dumped on in all of this - I am sure it has more to do with her being knocked up than your value. It's very hard to come down on a woman who is expecting, especially for men. I hope before you resign that you will try hard to stand outside of your own feelings and try too look at the situation from the Dr's eyes. I am sure, if you can, you will see how valuable you are to them. And if not - Well more education never hurt anyone, and I am sure you will be more than successful in school! *NOTE* this was too long for your comments section, so I had to put it here! You deserve to be happy, and you shouldn't sacrifice your happiness for anything. I think it's noble of you to want to stick it out for the sake of your children, but remember that kids are smart little creatures. They can sense when something is just not right. They know if you are unhappy. My parents divorced after 21 years. I was 12. It was a difficult time for me emotionally, but ultimately - I am so proud of my mother for doing it. It was healthier for her and for my family. I love my father, but he was also physically and emotionally unavailable for my mother. I noticed how that affected my mom, even at the young age of 12. My mom deserved better, and she finally found that. I'm not saying that you should divorce your husband at all. I'm not saying that things couldn't work out for you. I think they could. You obviously have genuine feelings for him. All I'm saying is that you deserve to feel loved, and have happiness, and feel like your getting everything possible out of your relationship for your kids, but most importantly for you. He will be there father forever, nothing can change that. Hopefully you can find a way to get all the results you want, so in the end you are the happiest YOU you can be! Keep writing, it's a great outlet, and I'm so grateful you are letting us share it with you. Is this a long enough comment? Geeeeeez. Hang in there, and have a wonderful relaxing weekend with your kids. They are so lucky to have you for a mom. You have an amazing soul and that will carry you through!

I don't know what the deal is with Guestbook. It's been a mess for months now and seems to get worse and worse! Use Diaryland "Notes" instead (in your Members section). It's working alright so far! Good luck with your Artist's Way "Morning Papers". It's very cathartic and actually had me work through some big issues lately.
