YAY!!! I'm so happy for you and Muse! How wonderful to spend this holiday as a family! And I'm *SOOOOOOOO GLAD* you're coming back here! I've missed you more than I can say - although, I had a feeling you weren't updating because you were too busy with all the *GOOD* things happening in your life. I'd much rather have fewer updates and know that you're happy. I hope you, Muse and Little Saph have a *FANTASTIC* holiday season! *Hugs & kisses* Love, cat

I *would* get off the Crazy Train, but for one person...my mom. She has absolutely no help...except me, and that ain't sayin' much. My father is a lost puppy without her; my cousin (The Pain) is a sloppy buffon; The Fury is MIA; MG's siblings are just too old and sick to be of any real help..."and then there was one." I'm a poor substitute under *any* circumstances, but I have to try because I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT allow Morticia to bear this alone. It's just not right. My mom gives and gives and gives and gives for everyone. I promise, I'm not trying to paint her as a snow white saint; she just has an incredible heart when it comes to the people she loves and I adore her beyond words. So the one thing I CAN'T do, is let my mommy down. :') I just can't. I appreciate your notes and caring S0 MUCH Saph! I think, if I didn't have D-land and those few, rare gems like you, I really would lose it. :-) Knowing you care means the world to me. Thank you so much. (I wish I had bigger, more adequate words to capture how grateful I am, because these clichés aren't enough)! Thank you. *Lots of hugs & kisses* I hope things are going well for you. I was just *thrilled* to read about how deeply in love you and Muse are; knowing that people I care about are happy...well, that's a better high than anything else in the world! :-) I hope you're able to get a bit more time off so you, Little Saph and Muse, might be able to enjoy some summer vacay time together! Love, catbert

Batman is coming out tonight in Germany..in ENGLISH, no less. I can't wait to see it now! So glad to hear you're madly in love, I know what you mean..I'm in a little blissful place myself. I'm sure I'll write about it in my next entry, and everyone will gag again. Roll their eyes and think "God, I can't read this sappy nonsense about her love for Eric ANYMORE' Ah well..:) At least I know you can relate:), take care!

I know what you mean about the social calender being filled, I always want to write an entry..but as soon as I sit down to start, something else happens. I feel bad because it's difficult to record everything that occurs, also so many people are reading my public diary from my every day life. it makes it so difficult..I've been writing more in my private one. (I don't remember if I sent you the new password). I'm glad things are going well for you these days, it's incredibly hot here in Germany too. Unfortunately..we don't have air conditioning. I'm dying. Thank you so much for your last note, that meant alot. Things are getting better. Have a good weekend! -love, Clarity

Well damn, now if you'd asked for a multitude of names for another part of the female anatomy, I could have given you a plethora of nicknames, but I'm tapped out when it comes to Hooterville. oooh, a topless entry! hehe:), Coldandgray once wrote an entire entry on slangs for breasts. You can read it here http://coldandgray.diaryland.com/050113_72.html It's really funny, I was surprised at how much slang words there are! My favorites were, "Fun cushions", "Milk wagons", "top Bullocks", "Headlights" and "coconuts". I just asked Eric what he would name mine. "Actual NAMES?", He responded. "Yes". He laughed "Tutti and Frutti". I rolled my eyes. "Okay..Magnolia and lotus", He said. I started laughing!

Oh, no worries whatsoever! I'm so glad you've been resting and taking care of yourself! (Yahoo!!!) :-) I would much rather have you do that, than concern yourself with replying to notes. Your health absolutely comes first. How was the weekend family get together? I hope you all had a wonderful time! And I'm so glad I didn't freak you out with my "illness" speak...it's just, not all docs take "invisible" illnesses seriously, so patients have to be über-vigilant. Stinks, I know. Geesh! :-) *Hugs & kisses* Love, the cat burgler

Yes! All right! I'm so glad you asked and received approval for time off next week!! I just thought, you might want to ask your doc to check for iron deficiencies. I know that's always been a problem for my mom. And of course, if it continues and you notice *any* pain or achiness throughout or in certain parts of your body for more than six months, they should check you for CFS, Fibromyalgic, Chronic Myofascial Pain, etc. Crap, I just realized that last bit might freak you out...it's just that I went for years having the three ailments I mentioned without realizing it and I would never want something like that to happen to you. I hope you have a FANTASTIC time this weekend...within reasonable limits of course. :-D Hehehe. I can understand your position on talking about sex. What you described was how I was with my friends in the past. I was always blushing..and just shaking my head when they asked me about my sex life. They would laugh at me. When I came to Europe it was worse..suddenly Eric's relatives were asking me about sex at the DINNER TABLE. I always felt like I was going to sink into the floor. Sex is everywhere here, and Eric is really open about the topic. He forced me to drop my "American hang-ups" (as he called them). Now, I just view it as something that everyone is doing..and yet so many societies discourage us from talking about it. So I'm alot more open after two years in Germany. However..as far as keeping your diary PG-13, same here. The intimate stuff stays in my private folder:)

Whoa! I agree with you about the picture. Guess they couldn't find anything more whorish. :-) I understand how you feel though (feel free to start laughing because The Virgin understands not feeling comfortable discussing sex). :-) For me though, it's more about privacy. I just feel like sex/making love is something special and (if I were ACTUALLY HAVING sex) I'd prefer to only share it with the person I feel is special enough to HAVE sex with. But I'm a weirdo and I know it -- I see sex as a way of expressing love, rather than just an end in and of itself, so maybe I'm all wet with my opinion. (Honestly, no pun intended there)! -cat

Sorry you and Muse have to be away from eachother and that you're missing her:(. I also agree with what you said about the destruction of the planet. We do it without even thinking anymore, as though the earth will constantly replenish itsself. I fear for the future generations.
|
| from
loner-blues : |
|
I'm sorry Muse had to go away for two weeks. :-( From what I've read, humans' relationship with the natural changed significantly with the Industrial Revolution. Oh, we've *always* abused and overused our resources, but the IR allowed us to do it at an increased pace and over the years, with so many more people surviving into adulthood (not to mention, extended adulthoods) it's all become a huge strain on our enviroment. Like you said, there's now a huge disconnect between most people and nature. Most don't see them selves as being OF nature, but rather ABOVE it. I think that's what allows so many to feel it's their right to abuse it. Unfortunately, we're going to abuse ourselves right into our own destruction unless we make some major changes. *Hugs* I hope this time without Muse moves quickly, for I hate that you're suffering without her. -cat

I enjoyed reading part 1 and 2 of the visit. It sounds like it went really well! I was happy to hear that!(I felt for you with the shamrock hats..haha, I've been there!) That guys comment was so rude and stupid. But there's always going to be that one person in the bunch that puts a slight damper on things with their ignorance. You know I have native American Indian in me too from my mother's side of the family, also my grandmother is from Spain. My father's side is entirely from scottland. So I'm a big mixture too. I was always the oddball out in my family, because I look more like my father's side and the rest of my family looks more like my mother. But usually people can detect in my features "something unique" but they can't place it. It's nice being unique, adds the exotic factor:). You sound beautiful. Thanks for your note about my son and the 3 AM cell phone call. Your perspective really made me think about it differently and put a smile on my face. About your entries getting eaten - try these two strategies: write your entry up as a word processing doc or every once and awhile while you are writing, and again right before you post your entry, highlight everything and COPY. That way if something goes wrong you can just past it in again and re-post.

Good do-re-me. Thanks for your note. I really appreciate your prayers for my mom after her stroke. I'm so blessed to have my pals on diaryland. I am sharing all my notes with my mom and I know she appreciates the prayers and good wishes for her recovery.

Hi again! Thanks so much for your note! I agree with what you wrote about making gifts with your hands and how that is so much more meaningful than a commercial store bought gift. That's wonderful that you're doing that. I want to do the same this year, I can't bake.. but I can create artwork for friends and family. I just wish I had a little more time..and less work. ugh:(. I'm so glad you had a great thanksgiving, hope all is well with you!

Agreed!! AS my grade school teacher friend always says to her little students, who are prone to tattling and being in everyone's business..."Worry about yourself first before worrying about everyone else." The world would be a lot easier to live in if people minded their own damned business!

What a beautiful layout. I'm impressed. Thanks you for your note sharing the story about taking a fall down the steps. Tumbling down the stairs in the lunchroom sounds worse than falling on my ass in the hallway even though my boss and coworkers were there! You poor thing. I am glad you were okay after that fall. Thanks for telling me your terrible tale!

I'm physically sick too and I'm on the same boat as you with the lack of sleep. It feels like a bad dream! Thanks for your note, We DO need to stick together:). We'll get through this..I just keep thinking "God..4 more years" and than I want to start crying again. There's a phrase in Germany translated "It has to get worse before it gets better". (sigh) We'll see. Get some sleep, I'll do the same:) Hopefully, We'll be able to handle it better tomorrow.

What a wonderful entry you posted about those we care about going above and beyond for us and the stresses and strains of the working mom. Also, thanks for your kind note regarding my daughter and the car accident. I'm just glad she is okay.

Your night out drinking at the pub sounded wonderful, it's always great to just let go and allow yourself to get drunk, silly, enjoy the moment! I had alot of "Moving to Europe" dreams too in the past, now I have "moving back to America" dreams. Life is funny, isn't it?

Thank you for your last note:), That must have been some strong tea you drank that brought on those hallucinations! wow..glad you're feeling better. Also I loved your descriptions of the holiday season, It brought back memories. I love that feeling. Glad things are going well for you.

I loved your idea of getting dressed up with your daughter and pulling out the nice china. Those are the kind of memories later on she's going to cherish and remember. "my mom used to..". I don't think she'll be writing evil things about you on an online diary. lol!. I'm glad things are going well with you and muse. It's so wonderful to be in love isn't it?:)

Thanks for writing me nice notes. I appreciate them! I hope the ex makes the missed payment - that's still about $500 and that's not a small sum of money to have to pay unexpectedly.

I love your description of the beautiful day - birds singing and all. I think it is good that your first concern if for your daughter. It's easy to be selfish in life - especially when romance is concerned - but your generous focus on your daughter's welfare and not just your own will make everybody turn out better in the end.

I can understand why you'd want to be open about your relationship with Muse and how frustrating that must be to not let everyone know the love you have for eachother. Hopefully in time that will change, Thanks for sharing that part of yourself with us.:)

I hope you feel better, I hate earaches.. This shooting pain inside the side of your head and you can't make it go away..(sorry, this isn't helping..) Just letting you know I feel for you. Good luck with the talk with Muse, I hope you both work things out. You're in my thoughts:)

I'm sorry to hear that you and muse are taking a break. Sometimes that's essential for a relationship, taking a step back and re-evaluating everything. I hope everything works out. It's fascinating to go through old albums, isn't it? scanning over all the memories. I've been doing that alot to since all my photo albums are here at my parent's house.

Thanks so much for your notes and the compliments on the layout. And I know you are right, I know things will get better, I just have a tough time being optomistic sometimes. But thank you so much for the encouragement, it means a lot! ♥

Hey, thanks for the note. Good to know I'm not the only one who isn't fond of pigeons! Your Saturday night sounded great and I'm happy for you and the closeness, joy and peace you have with the muse. When you can connect with another person at that level, it's the greatest feeling in the world...

I'm with your daughter...we've been getting horrible storms here too, and I live close to the beach...it's been hard on me. I'm a little obsessed with the weather channel online. Hopefully the stormy weather will fade away.

Thank you so much for the compliment, that meant alot to me:). You should post some of your artwork on your diary sometime, I would love to see it. Also, I really related to your last entry. I miss those carefree moments of childhood too, running through the sprinklers and riding my bike for hours. Time had no meaning and the only thing I had to worry about was dinner time. But you're right, we can experience that now, just being in the moment, enjoying life and just allowing ourselves to relax once in a while:)

I just loved your entry on running through the sprinkler. I know exactly what you mean about the bike rides, quarters in coach etc. Thanks for your BD wishes for my son. I DID ride that terrifying looking rollercoaster!

The conversation with your mom is fantastic. What a journey it has been for you and for her I assume. I gre up with an angry father. Not an absusive man, but a very complicated and angry one. Out of the blue I got just such a call. That was 12 years ago and things have been completely different ever since. I think the main difference was getting stress and bad meds out of his life, but it took some guts to make that phone call. It was the right thing to do and it feels even better to know that he meant it. Yea you! =e

Thanks for your nice note about my blog - Little Island. I loved your rainy day outfit transformation entry, by the way. It reminded me of a Will and Grace episode I saw that related to water bras and art exhibits.

Thanks for adding me to your list of faves...did I already write this? I'm having deja vu. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know your diary is great and your new layout is bitchin'. I need a new one someday...SIGH. Anyway, look for your addition to my buddy list very soon (as soon as I have time to login and make some changes).

Wowee Zowee! It is a big pain figuring out how to add the template code into the right places but look at the result. Your layout looks amazing and is a real showcase for your diary! This is the same template that Spritopias - a wonderful diaryland diarist - is using on his diary. I am so glad that you did this - it makes your diary more readable and inviting. Congrats on your hard work on getting the template in place - I bet it brings a smile to your face everytime you pop into your diary! A good layout really does take things up a notch.

Thanks for your note and positive comments. They mean a lot to me! I love your entry about Chuck E Cheese. You sound like such a fun mom. Keep writing all these wonderful adventures down. Also, if you don't mind this suggestion - why don't you consider switching away from a diaryland template to a layout that is more reflective of you. It doesn't have to have pictures - there are plenty of imageless and free layouts made for diaryland that you can use. It's some extra work to put it in place but I think it would really showcase your entries nicely.

Hi from Suburban Island and thanks so much for adding my Diary to your Diaryland favorites! I'm right with you on Jane Austen and Tori Amos. And welcome to Diaryland! There are a lot of great diarists on the DLand and I am confident that you will enjoy writing here.
