Hi, I'm a new reader and I normaly don't inject my opinions into what people put on their journals, but in this case, I just can't help myself. First of all, I have read all your entries. I was bored Saturday morning. Anyway, I just want to say that unless you have left out some really good stuff, this relationship you have with this guy Chris is a huge mistake. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but it's pretty clear from what you've written that you've found someone that loves you, and that you sort of love as well, but that just won't ever make up for the differences. Pink roses? Come on, isn't that classic enough? It's what every guy does when they've abused you. This time, it was more threat than follow-though. Next time, it won't be. You need to get out and get away before he becomes dangerous. And even if he doesn't become dangerous, he will never be the sort of man that will make you happy. He's selfish, self-centered and will only give you attention when he's worried about losing you. One more thing. A corset? To a club? Have you lost your mind? That's just trashy and asking for trouble. Please don't do it. ---Sam

It really is not fair (either to yourself or to your boyfriend) to keep the relationship going when your heart is elsewhere. In a situation like this it really is best to cut the one you don't want to be with loose, so he can be with someone else, and pursue the love you know you have with the other man. It hurts, but it's a hell of a lot less painful than letting things go on and on until the current boyfriend becomes so attached he proposes or the one you love finds someone else to be with. Been there. Don't torture yourself. An emotional breakup is a lot less painful than living a lie. Just my 10 cents (adjusted upward to allow for inflation).

There's nothing wrong with leaving a note for an inconsiderate roommate! I had to make a sign and put it on the oven door asking our tenants to clean up the messes they make on the bottom of the oven...and it worked! I think you should give it a try!

Jeezey peezey...you sound like you could be my twin!!! I hope you don't go to bed angry or anxious. Hopefully writing about it made you feel a little better, and maybe when you've cooled off a bit, you can talk it over with him and tell him why you got upset. Although chances are he doesn't even realize you're upset...since that's the way men are most of the time. Anyway, I hope you feel emotionally better soon and that you can get a good night's rest. I'm sure not knowing when Aunt Flo's coming to visit doesn't make you any less anxious. Take it easy.
