You like really awesome bands. I am extremely jealous that your first concert was Aerosmith! They were here last fall, but I didn't get to see them.
Nirvana rules, I love Pearl Jam, if you like Tool, you'll like A Perfect Circle. I saw someone post about them earlier. Cheap Trick, another awesome band.
Your diary reads a lot like mine when I was your age. I am a music teacher at an elementry school, so my diary probably wouldn't be very interesting to you, but I'd love to chat about music! What instrument do you play in your band? I think I remember you saying you want to learn bass, so I'm guessing you play guitar.

You'd really like A Perfect Circle. Do you like to read? If you want to write the biggest suggestion I can give you is to read and read as much as you possibly can. I love reading. Like music, it can take you to a completely different place. ~ Good books: The Giver. East of Eaden, if you can stand it. The Dive from
Clausen's Pier. Gingerbread, you'd really relate to that. I don't know if you're old enough for any Chuck Palanhuik, but if you think you can stomach gratituous violence, sex, and chaos go ahead. You'll love it.
Your last assignment seemed good. This weeks one is to pick one of the books I've suggested and if not, just a book you usually wouldn't read. Start it.

Is there anything you really like to do? Writing seems like a good outlet and I support it 100%. Art is really good as well, so is music.
You should ready Diary by Chuck Palanhuik. It's all about how the most tortured people make the best artists. Cultivate your anger and channel it into something productive. Get away from it with schoolwork and things you love. Take photographs. Go for long walks. Read Annie Dillard.
Educate yourself. Become excited by life. Smash old computers. Go to first thursdays. Play the guitar. Make good friends. Avoid destruction. Most people coming from your background have two choices:
Become drug-addicts and cancers to society and die unhappy without a point
Become famous artists or human right activists that change the world
Make your life worthwhile.

Most teenagers are moody and angsty, we have typical up and downs because of fluctuating hormones, tons of social pressures and awkward bodily functions. People say they relate for the same reason you like listening to Nirvana, because they like relating and they are just trying to empathize with you to better understand you.
