I'm a Christian man myself. Grew up with Jesus and the Bible in my life. But I think religion should be a private thing, something you keep to yourself and let others discover for their own enlightenment. A more conservative Christian friend of mine likened the faith to eating a good slice of cake. Since it's so good, you should share it. Since this friend was significantly older, I didn't want to debate with him, even though I wanted to say, "Faith isn't cake."

the night is also peaceful shelter, respite from a busy world. at night, everyone is obligated to rest. it's part of our nature. those of us who, for one reason or another, must stay up are able to enjoy the stillness that can only be found when the world is asleep.

I must say that I feel the SAME way (I'm referring to april 19th's entry). I really, really, really hate it when people "wish" me a happy "insert Christian holiday here". It's just so ignorant of them. I mean, what if I wasn't even Catholic/Christian? What if I was Jewish? Wouldn't they feel dumb! And I, too, hate it especially when people who KNOW I'm anti-religion do that. Augh!
Another of the many reasons I hate people. heee (:

Candy...it's high time you headed over to the Electronics Boutique down the street from me. There are a ZILLION copies of the new Zelda there, not to mention the Gamecube version of the Sims, which I hope to get eventually. Sadly, the sales people are just as idiotic. Yesterday I had a question to ask and the guy just looks at me funny before he finally answers. I'm like, There was no need to give me that look simply because I'm an inquiring customer. I have this sneaking suspicion that it's because I look young. Dammit. This whole young-and-good-looking schtick is starting to be a curse. =D Anyways, congrats on getting the job! Any kind of extra income is always good. Just look at me, scrounging by on a pathetic minimum-wage bullshit research assistant job. Reading is great, but chapters don't pay the bills. Unless I get published, which means I have to find someone who'll actually be interested in my chapters. And that's a whole nutha bag of kitten kaboodles that totally detracts from the fact that I have no money. =P

OH MY GOSH I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF!!! Last night's episode of "Angel" got me so riled up that, not only did I read spoilers from epguides.com, but I also read spoilers for "Buffy"!!! Oh well. !!!!!! OOOPS...forgot to put the requisite SPOILER WARNING. DON'T READ THE NOTE AFTER THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS FOR "ANGEL". !!!!!!

girl you will never guess what happened. i decided to go out tonight, which meant that i had to tape "Angel". except that i accidentally taped UPN instead of the WB because i naturally connected "Angel" with "Buffy" and because UPN and the WB are next to each other on my cable system. except that i didn't realize this until FIFTEEN MINTUES before showtime! mercifully, i was only at the mall on the other side of campus, which is normally a good fifteen-minute walk back anyway. i sped things up a bit, much to the detriment of my breathing and out-of-shapeness. no matter. i made it back just in time for the second half of the teaser, when everyone was confronting Cordy. so yes, i got to enjoy "Angel," in spite of the forces that conspired to get in my way. i have to say that tonight's episode officially sealed my opinion that Connor is an idiot. yeah, i know he's had some rough times. but he just seems so blindly anti-Angel that he can't even think straight, and that irks me. i liked the end though. i really liked how the Beast doesn't seem like all it's cracked up to be. my first thought was: Antichrist. of course, this being Joss Whedon, we're not gonna get the LaHaye-conservative Christian of an Antichrist who's a European male. we get a lovely black woman who enchants all of LA...everyone except for Fred, according to the previews. btw, did you catch Willow's line the other week? "i'm seeing someone." what were they hinting at with Fred? i like her and Gunn. one Willow is enough for me, thanks. =D

mountain dew was always a third or fourth choice for me as far as sodas are concerned. i dunno why. it could be the sweetness, but i also liked the green color. (soda congolomerates take note: i'm attracted to colors like orange, cherry red, and lime green. they make me thirsty.) i would almost always have a coke and sprite before considering...doing the Dew.

OMG I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT THE ENDING OF "ANGEL"!!!!!!! I usually watch "Angel" all by myself because I don't know anyone else (in the immediate area, anyway) who's a big fan as I am. But that night there were hella people over, and when they saw what I was watching, they were all like, "What's this?" So I explained it to them, then they watched along with me, and at the end when everyone confronted Cordy they were all like, "Oh crap. That's not good." Meanwhile, since *I'M* a huge fan of the show, my mouth was wide open and I was all like, "Oh SHIIIIT~!!!!!" Because I was afraid the writers were gonna drag on this "undercover evil" thing for Cordy for a long long time. I'm so glad Joss has the ability to move a story along.

yes, men ARE impossible. i don't know if i've always known this, or if this is a new realization i'm noticing now that i'm bi and paying attention to them more openly. like for example...how you can go through the trouble of making gifts for them, and then all they do is glance at the gift and go, "how nice!" and then go about their business. hello? how about a little observation? and i can totally relate to the re-washing of dishes thing. i have a roommate who is a sweet guy but when it comes to dirt he has trouble attacking it...lol. as for the air of expectancy, well, nothing i say or experience can compare to your feelings during pregnancy. but as far as waiting is concerned, i've been there and i'm still there. i feel like i've been waiting for something my whole life...whether it's when i take long naps, stay in bed longer than i need to, or sitting on the train waiting for my stop and keeping to my own thoughts...i always feel like i'm waiting.

thanks for the comment about the front page BUT...that's not what this note is really about. once i saw your highlight of the day regarding the "10th Kingdom," i loudly gasped in astonishment. i can't believe you're watching that~!!! i am sooo jealous. one of my great regrets in life is, during the original broadcast, not having called the 800 number that popped up so i could order the videos. i am a huge Kimberly Williams fan, and i love all the other actors who pop up: Ed O'Neill, Dianne Weist, Camryn Manheim, Ann Margret, and of course John Larroquette. it was such a treat to see them all in a fantasy series. plus, the story was witty and entertaining, and the visuals were so neat to look at. I'M JEALOUS~!!! =)
