| you sound just like me. basically for me, i took a shot, applied, got e-mailed back day after, interviewed the next, hired before the end of the week. it was all so new because I'm basically used to getting the "thanks but no thanks" and crying my eyes out because like you, when good things happen, I'm afraid it will get taken away by some odd occurrence. i had to go through several hoops too and in fact, I'm still in the last hoop which is basically the 90 day trial and some times i second guess myself... i have no backup sooo i tell myself i HAVE to do well and other days I'm confident but i go back and fouth alot. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to take things for granted because things don't usually go awesome for me at first try. it takes a few until finally God and the universe take pity on my poor soul. I've been employed about a month and i still have days where I'm like: "do i have what it takes?" because i feel like the moment i get comfortable, something will shift. it's a whole drama filled monologue! sometimes i am my own worst enemy i tell ya! |
