I LOVE YOURE USERNAME BECAUSE I WAS THINKING IT COULD BE MINE RIGHT BEFORE I WAS ONLINE
from pyroguysr :
I noticed that you were one of Tony's (T85225) friends. Perhaps you read his blogs about his battle with cancer. I'm sad to report that he succumbed and passed away this week at age 49. He was a good online friend of mine and will be sorely missed. I left some details on his D-land diary notes.
from jonathan29 :
Thanks for the shout out on your blog! Sorry it took so long for me to notice it. My bad! Hope your weekend has been peachy....
from reader1209 :
I'm clearly mentally deficient. I can't figure out how to join the walking tour. Is there a link, did I miss a memo? Help???
from jonathan29 :
Oh, how I love your tattoos! I love the M!
from jonathan29 :
I just got matching star tattoos on both my wrists. We're tattoo buds!
from rebeckajane :
Yay! congratulations girlie =)
from curious-me :
CONGRATS! I read your message really early this morning but didn't get a chance till now to leave you a note and say, "Woooooooooooo"!
from beckoninbran :
YYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! I can't wait to hear about it -- hope your sleep was good:)
from curious-me :
Okay this is just TOO weird - first we're watching the same shows and now.....guess who bought triscuit crackers (rosemary & olive oil) as well! I got them at the No Frills yesterday. I haven't tried them yet but yah spooooky eh? :P
from lasvegasliz :
Yay! You are nice, and I like you.
from curious-me :
My fingers, toes and any other body parts that I can cross are crossed for you! I try and live by creed that everything happens for a reason. We may not see the big picture but eventually it all comes clear. But good luck, good luck, good luck and I can't wait to find out too so don't keep us waiting when you find out! Take care.
from christay :
INDEED you were missed! ;) I'm glad you're back.
from curious-me :
Welcome Back! And yes you have been missed. I was beginning to worry but then I figured like most of us feel once in a while you needed a break from here. Way to go with the treadmilling! That is awesome! Keep up the good work and pass on some of that motivation to me - I need it!
from beckoninbran :
Glad to see you back! Yeah!!
from rebeckajane :
Great to see you writing again :)
from rebeckajane :
Just checking in from across the puddle to see if you are ok :)
from beckoninbran :
Naw, it's all good:) Ar's a doll! It's quite funny actually, this whole situation of going public and stuff. After you first discussed it on your blog, I got so freaked out, and even after you decided not to go public, I was still freaked out! SO what did I do? I erased all my archives. Yup. (Well, I actually copied them over to my comp before erasing...) Go public, my friend. The only person I am really concerned about hurting is our one dear, mutual friend... there was some off and on venting that she may be really stung by...that's really my own personal concern with this whole issue.
from b-bennett :
My poor Booka!! How crappy is your boss? I think she really is the true face of evil...however, she may not be smart enough to be that:) I'm sad that you'll be so close yet so unavailable!! I feel as though I should come down and kidnap you away!! Ah, it's a nice dream, eh? That sucks that your whole weekend will be shot... Oh, and does she realize it's winter and the conditions are absolutely trecherous and you should be taking your time driving here????? AH!
from b-bennett :
PS that sure was a lot of info I presented in such a fast-paced almost uncoherant manner in that last note...
from b-bennett :
AH! Don't even get me started on that blasted dress that I won't even (hopefully) be able to wear...haven't told the bride this yet, so shhhh! We'll tell her when we hear for sure:) (Was that criptic or what?) I'm sorry about Treadie! Poor thing...I hope he (she?) gets better soon. I've been walking outside this week, but it's too cold today, which sucks since I'm missing it! (And so is da pooch!) Don't worry about emailing -- you'll get to it when you do, right? You're waaay better than one of our other friends (who will rename nameless...). OH! I'm going to be late! AH! I feel like the rabbit from wonderland... Oh, and I have no clue what S.ecret is....just so you know:)
from b-bennett :
Excellent list!! I'm still working on mine, but some of our goals overlap! I just bought a meditation CD today to help me destress better (I find meditation in the quiet doesn't work with my monkey mind) -- I have yet to listen to it, but I'll tell you how it is. Also, I have some fabulous books on pre-Confederation Canada from some of my University courses. One I adore is a collection of stories involving real people from Louisberg but told in a fiction-like manner. You'll have to come peruse Bennett's Library soon! There's lots to choose from:) Oh! I also tried a new recipe this week for pasta with asparagus, mushrooms, chicken (I substituted portabellos) and a non-fat cream sauce made with chicken broth, a little milk and some cornstarch (very light but tasty!). It was a HUGE success if you're interested.
from b-bennett :
Just a quickie...why do you put an '@' when you talk about @merican idol...is this some crazy thing I should know about when typing show names and such?
from b-bennett :
You are the Html queen -- you must share your ever-great knowledge with me...seriously. I know I'm slow with the computer stuff, but that's some neat stuff to know...especially strikout...
from b-bennett :
It's totally up to you if you want to go public -- there are ways around keeping my anonimity:) However, I do agree that you would be censoring yourself more, even if it were unconsiously. Venting wouldn't have that certain element of freedom too. Ugh, such a tricky decision, eh?
from rebeckajane :
I understand what you are saying as far as going public..i know once I let someone I knew in "real life" read my diary and from that day on I could not write the way I did and I eventually made a new diary. However, I do have my picture on here from time to time but I figure if anyone who knew me stumbled across me, they'd know it's me by the things I talk about and the way I "talk" anyhow..in a way I'm not stressed if they found me..but in a way I think it might freak me out a little? I've been catching up on your diary :) have a great day girlie.
from b-bennett :
Let me know if you're going to go public -- I'm not ready for that at all. I'll have to lock up or something...because it would be soooo obvious who I was! AHH!
from curious-me :
Whenever I archive I manage to lose years but they're never really gone they're just hiding on me. I just archived the other day too and spent WAY too long figuring out how to make it just right. As for opening up your d-land for family to read it can go either way. You may find yourself censoring yourself a little but it can also be a way to stay in touch with people. I talk smack about too many of my friends and family to go public plus I like to vent too much (as if you couldn't tell!). But I do get what you mean about reading d-land and not updating - I'm on daily but only update every now and then. Maybe we should make this our new year's resolution - update d-land more! Ciao.
from b-bennett :
Thanks for the Moxie pics! She's so adorable and I can't wait to meet her in person...two more sleeps! I hope you're feeling better:)
from essaywriter :
Hey thanks for the add!
from ameliorating :
Aww *blushing* Thank you for the great compliment and for adding me :) Hope you have a wonderful holiday season.. and I'll try to update more, I swear!!
from b-bennett :
Awww, Booka....you are so fabulous. Thanks for the great note. You know exactly what to say to make me feel better! I know a lot of what I'm going through is fueled by anxiety and fear -- fear of not being able to get pregnant, fear of losing another baby if I do get pregnant, fear of hurting those around me again if that ends up happening again...the list goes on. I need to learn to let go of the anxiety and fear in my life, it just takes over in so many areas. So frustrating!
from b-bennett :
Did you go see Stuart McLean? I forgot to ask earlier! I've seen his book countless times in at the bookstore -- have you read it? If so, is it any good? I can't wait to hear about the show!
from b-bennett :
Okay, we've got Update #1...waiting on the edge of my seat for #2... Oh, Booka....did we not learn ANYTHING about the evils of the drink at your husbands 30th??? I feel for you -- you know I do!!! Poor girl:( I wish you enjoyed yourself more that night -- I know you were looking forward to it. Please give your mom a hug from me, even if it's over the phone, okay?
from b-bennett :
Hey Booka, I emailed you, so I hope you get it...I just read this entry and now I am worried. I hope you're okay! I am here if you need me...alright?
from curious-me :
Welcome back. I was getting worried there. I hope all is well and I look forward to reading (and emailing!) you again. Take care.
from b-bennett :
Dude. Your boss is such a freak. REALLY. Life's purpose coinciding with the office? Come on. Is she really that self-centered and conceited? (Okay, now I'm worked up and I don't even have to come into contact with her!) I hate that you have to work with such an evil person -- no, wait. She can't even be called that since people have feelings and are considerate to others. Grrrr. Evil people suck.
from b-bennett :
Hey Booka! Here's some comments for today... A) congrats on the 5lbs! that's wicked...keep it up (I know exactly what you mean about the whole obsessing over food when it's the last thing you want to think about! AH!) B) there is nothing wrong with flanny sheep sheets (coming from gal with bright red flanny reindeer pjs) C) I too fell off the Nano wagon and realized days later that it was bc of being bored with the character...thanks for writing the advice from Dulligirl (sp?) -- I'll try skipping over the part I'm at (I too am linear) D) Mortgages and car stuff...ick. Doesn't that make you feel really grown up??
from rebeckajane :
Hey I'm sorry but I just saw the entry where you tagged me *sheepish grin*, from over a month ago, I didn't even see it until now. Forgive me.
from libbyo :
I used to be a Windsorite myself so I thought I would check out some others... Enjoying the read!
from dulligirl :
Thanks for adding me as a writing buddy for NaNo! I'll add you, too. And thank you for your supportive comments.
from dulligirl :
Good luck to you on NaNo! This is my third year. This first year I didn't finish but then last year went much better.
from b-bennett :
Hey Booka! How cool is this? (Can you tell I just learned how to check/leave notes? Dur...not too computer savvy!) You have to dress up Moxie and take a pic to send me!!!! Noted on the Min name:) Oh, did you get an email from her mom?
from christay :
oh no i deleted it because i wanted to. It did what it needed to do and that was it. It did it's job I suppose. Thank you though. It made me open up to Jeff about every little thing I was holding back and it has made us both feel so so much better. I don't know if you realize what you did but all I can say is thank you so so much!
from christay :
THANK YOU THANK YOU. No it was good that I said all that I said. If I didn't it would have bottled up in me and I would have exploded. You are right I do need to lock up or go elsewhere. It feels weird to have Jeff reading this. I'm relieved to see you felt the same way about not wanting to upset Todd. I'm gonna have to speak up more I suppose. Thank you though and I will definitely keep you in mind if I want to rant and rave. <3
from curious-me :
Wow your comment totally made my day! And as a funny side story I ran across your new diary not too long ago and read a couple of entries and forgot to book mark it and couldn't find it the next time I looked for it (my memory sucks!). I shall email you with my email address asap. Oh and I was also very sorry to read about your grandpa. I'm glad to hear you're doing okay though. Alright I am off to email you now!
from rebeckajane :
Erm, sorry I just made your notes wider by putting that in lol, you can delete the note to take it back :)
from rebeckajane :
Hi, you should just be able to delete the "<a href="http://bookafly.signmyguestbook.com">book</a> and <a href="reviews.html">reviews</a>" from your template, don't forget to space the ones below back up or you will most likely have a space between them. I tried to go back and forths with your arrows, when you hover over them they are giving for example this "http://bookafly.diaryland.com/cheerleadin.html" when it should actually have numbers after it like this page of yours does "http://bookafly.diaryland.com/060920_94.html" .. I went to a few of your older pages and each page when clicking on the arrows it gives you the same as the front page does, "cheerleading and drew", I am not exactly sure without looking at your templates codes why that's happening. The good news is, according to what I can see, your time and date are showing up perfect and so are your archives. I hope I was a little help :)
from dulligirl :
Good song suggestion. I just might have to sing that one. Good luck with your template.
from reader1209 :
book, don't worry. when I signed up for gold it took a bit of time before it kicked in..it will today for sure. Happy Birthday!!!
from rebeckajane :
It's half way through the 20th here so let me be the first to wish you a happy birthday! :) I enjoyed the 100 tidbits..have a wonderful birthday.
from rebeckajane :
Hi, thanks for adding me to your list, I'll be back to catch up on your writing :)
from reader1209 :
Ummm...to tell you the truth I don't know if I could have done the comments thing without the gold membership. I know I got it by just clicking or right clicking on the Haloscan thing on a diary (like the one that's on mine) and then you just follow the directions on the website for how to put one on your own site. You probably do have to have the gold membership because you have to copy the html code for the Haloscan thing and put it in your template. My plan for the future is to stay with the gold and maybe go supergold next time. And again, the html stuff is not that hard to pick up. Hope you feel better. - reader-
from marinka-mp :
Hello my lovely...i feel horrible becasue i have not commented in a while. the problem with reading people's diaries at the gym is that i forget to comment when i get home. But i do love you.
from starlight42 :
Thanks for the link! That was really cute! Thanks for the compliment on my writing. I guess since I've been doing it so long online, it just comes natural. :) Have a good weekend.
from reader1209 :
Hey book, I was juct checking in and was wondering if anyone answers you about the gold vs supergold thing, let me know. I've got the gold and I like it and I also knew next to nothing about html and stuff. I may switch to supergold next time but for right now, I'm good.
from marinka-mp :
sorry I couldn't help. but I'm glad to have you back
from dulligirl :
Got you all added in to my faves.
