from and-the-way :
I'm a moron and just now realized that your comment was most likely in reference to Halloween and not the HTML change haha.
from and-the-way :
Ha! I know it. Spicing things up a bit
from and-the-way :
aw, yay! kitty!
from moodswing :
GET THE CAT.
from longitude :
batto.
from moodswing :
Balls, indeed.
from and-the-way :
i understand. i struggled with the decision for months. i kind of felt like if i were to go back, it'd be somewhat of a failure...the whole "going off on my own and being independent" thing. and that i'd possibly be taking my current situation for granted, like i'd be seen as not appreciating what i have. but really, a job is the only that's keeping me here so who cares. you've only got one life, you know? (well, as some may believe)
from and-the-way :
been dying to see that movie
from frankie123 :
hey i happened to see hundred waters play in vancouver last fall and became immediately spellbound. they really are so fantastic; how crazy to learn that you're one of the guys behind their album
from and-the-way :
good luck! also, it must be a grandmother thing, because i have a big glass fish from mine.
from and-the-way :

from and-the-way :

from moodswing :

from nwgirlchild :
I fell so completely in love with you[r diary]. I fell hard and viciously with no worry or fear of the inevitable landing. I miss you[r diary] and have missed you[r diary].
from and-the-way :
absolutely!
from trainyard :
Haven't read you in a while. Just stepping by to let you know that I like the new layout of your diary page. No chance of going back in time, catching up.. Brutal but good.
from and-the-way :
i take it for granted too easily.
from and-the-way :
definitely, but i'm jealous of you and your exciting baby bear adventures.
from frankie123 :

from longitude :
I hope you have amazing experiences.

from and-the-way :

from longitude :
re: briefly forever: dang it... that song...

from and-the-way :
Listened to ravedeath...holy wow.
from and-the-way :
hmm...definition of "real?"
from and-the-way :
about dreams: yes, strange. but also interesting how the brain fills in the gaps with movements and sounds we've never actually seen/heard.
from swtrilogy :
Well I appreciate that. Tell me how you came to find it and I'll tell you the story behind it.
from frankie123 :
ya but it feels nice to take money from assholes
from frankie123 :
if that streetlight had a camera and you know approximately what time the black civic ran through that red light, you can sue

purrrrfect. he hisses at me every morning but I can't stay mad at that face of his.
from equivocally :
you locked your diary ? :(
from and-the-way :
so sorry you have to sit through those. and by the way, terrific movie choice.
from and-the-way :
I took a religion class a few semesters ago and I expected it to be that way (being where I'm from), but surprisingly it was composed of mostly open-minded people. There was one outspoken Christian guy who debated everything the professor said, spouting out verses. By the end of the semester every time he opened his mouth there was a collective groan across the class. But anyway...good luck.
from and-the-way :
oh, you know there will be plenty. i don't want to freak him out just yet by sticking a lens in his face. he's still pretty scared.
from and-the-way :
catcatcatcatcat!
from and-the-way :
yes, they certainly are loud around here. like a constant high-pitched hum and i can't help but to zone out and listen. as for the running...keep it up, you'll get there.
from and-the-way :
thanks! it was a good one.
from and-the-way :
thank you
from and-the-way :
injured pets are so sad. i hope he recovers soon.
from swallowthkey :
why are you locked? it is breaking my heart.
from and-the-way :
i second the comment below this one.
from frankie123 :
something new: shave your head then get a tattoo on the very top of your head (a useless lyric, maybe, or maybe a cat with a paw reaching out for a bird) and then start growing your hair LONG
from and-the-way :
same boat.
from and-the-way :
good, good. i hadn't thought of her either until i saw her name on a festival line-up. "playing with pink noise" was on my myspace page for quite some time back in the day, haha.

from longitude :

from longitude :
tell your owls to tell my owl i miss him.
from and-the-way :
jealous! barred owls are the best. there are a few that like to hang out around my parents' house.
from longitude :
his voice instantly makes me find reasons to be sad.. as if in that state, can i truly hear what the music is saying.
from and-the-way :
true. there are some interesting characters in downtown atl.
from longitude :
me = wimps' club, lifetime member
from and-the-way :
it's crazy how many stars are lost because of competing city lights.
from and-the-way :
that's probably better than having nicki minaj stuck in your head first thing in the morning.
from and-the-way :
oh yes, no one was mad at the deer. it was amazing that they were there in the first place. and ha! the zombies sound kind of cool. i saw a clever one once where there were two big apples and one little apple (mac stickers). but the ones showing like 7 kids are just ridiculous. (and i wish i were as productive as you are at school. i'm bad about waiting until the very last minute to study or finish assignments.)
from and-the-way :
that pesky ryan reynolds, always showing up in dreams...
from and-the-way :
Your message to the deer had me laughing out loud. Its suicidal plans were thwarted, right? And congrats on Willie Nelson. That sounds like it will be awesome.
from frankie123 :
really sucks how birthdays make everybody analyse their lives so much
from and-the-way :
Ha, no worries. Only three people still read. The note count went down considerably since the lockdown.
from and-the-way :
thank you. and yeah, i'm a little nervous about the jogging haha. i'm terrible at sports, so running is the only thing i've ever been able to do without making a total fool of myself.
from and-the-way :
it's alright, my next semester is entirely b.s. classes as well. public speaking, music appreciation, jogging, etc.
from longitude :
I am imagining a stop motion video of my drawings on your plexiglass forms. Daydreaming..
from longitude :
banana (-_-) i could make your audio visual portfolio but they'd probably think you were on drugs.
from and-the-way :
theremin! i just recently learned what those are.
from and-the-way :
the weather here is ridiculous, too. in the 30s one day, in the high 70s the next. very frustrating.
from longitude :
re: twizzlers... i know you know what kind of face that deserves. oh you.
from frankie123 :
me and a buddy taught her english bulldog how to skateboard last summer, it's probably the biggest accomplishment of my life. wrinkly dogs are the best
from and-the-way :
ha, no. unfortunately i'm only a kitten stealer/rescuer in my dreams.
from and-the-way :
consider the good thoughts thunk.
from longitude :
Here is a good thought for you: pancakes. Best everything to you and your endeavours.
from and-the-way :
thank you! and your dreams are way cooler than mine.

good luck, and drive safe!
from theways :
i know what you mean. they fit perfectly with new autumn clothes.
from theways :
oh! arab strap. just.. yes.
from and-the-way :
Ha! At first I thought, "why would a page turner need to read music?" but duh. You need to know when to turn the page. I had to look up Itzhak Perlman to realize he played the music for Schindler's List. Pretty cool that you get to be a part of performances like that.
from and-the-way :
agreed, roommates are the worst. unless they're furry and can't talk.
from longitude :
"blasted frogface" made me laugh and I thought I'd leave you a note for a change.
from and-the-way :

from frankie123 :
oh, no i thought you wrote boyecho@diaryland instead of boyecho@gmail. i don't know haha i guess that was on purpose? that would be such a hilarious lawsuit, diaryland slander
from frankie123 :
your job sounds amazing! ps i think there's a typo on your profile?
from and-the-way :
i just got back, but i wish i was at the beach, too.

I looked up Sun Kil Moon and think I fell in love.
from sunstargirl :

Can I have your password? I really enjoyed your entries.
from sun-dials :
unobtainability is a dreamer's worst enemy, unfortunately. i know, i'm one as well.
from notunique :
amen.
from notunique :
There was once a time when I thought that stuff was cool. And as for talentless musicians putting out crappy products...I resemble that comment. :)
from sunstargirl :
my long-standing theory is that movies are purposefully recorded at ear-deafening volume because Hollywood producers all have millions of dollars secretly invested in Miracle Ear stock. They're just securing their investments.
from sunstargirl :
poor django! this is just really not your month...
from axde :
<3 sunny day real estate
from sunstargirl :
OH NO! As someone who has broken her foot THREE TIMES, I can safely say I feel your pain! Keep it elevated. You've got 8 weeks of healing to do.
from sunstargirl :
ah, okay then. I can see how that wouldn't really work, haha. Just trying to encourage a friend!
from sunstargirl :
your next entry better be about asking ska girl out!!!
from frankie123 :
oh haha. well that's alllmost as cute, too
from frankie123 :
you have pet foxes?! no way!
from sunstargirl :
choose a town with an Ivy League then!
from offbymyself :
I'm not entirely sure why, but I really enjoy your diary.
from and-the-way :
i know, that's what i'm saying! i have no idea what i'm doing wrong, but i've killed 4 fishes in the past 2 years. i think i should stop before i take out the entire betta population.
from raven72d :
gort and gojira--- yes.
from sunstargirl :
lol, that's awesome.
from sunstargirl :
weird. I was just having a conversation about how cranes legs are put on backwards because their knees bend the wrong way. They don't really have knees at all, more like extra elbows. Then I get on here not 5 minutes later and you're writing about bird feet.
from xxiii :
you are not alone. no parentheses.
from sunstargirl :
I'll trade you! I never got summer this year! It's pouring rain as I type!
from frankie123 :
it's not about looking good, man! it's about moving to north cali and harvesting kush

from sephiragrace :

from sunstargirl :
when I'm feeling like that, I get a pedicure because they massage your feet. It's the most awesome thing ever. Totally worth $15. You could get a 1 hour massage for around $39 these days. I've never gotten one before, but it sounds like a good deal.
from jonah :
18 aug 2010, my darling, i think of you often. i wonder where and how you are? my email is [email protected]. send me a letter.
from longitude :

from longitude :
I dreamt that I went to buy dinner, opened my wallet and it was empty.
from frankie123 :
wicked, thanks!
from frankie123 :
that voice, whose is it?
from longitude :
Don't give up, dear fruitsbat.
from and-the-way :
ha! i didn't even notice! and i also don't think that i can pronounce verisimilitude.
from and-the-way :
good question, i don't even know. but i have the feeling that it was going to be an action movie.
from and-the-way :
your dreams are so great. in my dream last night i was in a movie theater and ryan reynolds wanted to sit by me.
from frankie123 :
sounds like it's time you did something reckless
from longitude :
red gummy bear + semi-translucent gummy bear = ♥
from and-the-way :
thanks! i've noticed that yours has also become quite bold.
from msjessica :
damn. http://blog.freepeople.com/portfolio1_06.gif there you go.
from msjessica :
i have <a href="http://blog.freepeople.com/portfolio1_06.gif">this</a> picture on my wall that reminds me of that one you just posted. maybe you will like it, and her other stuff. her name is jen lobo. (not sure if links work in notes? fingers crossed...) like the new layout by the way x
from sunstargirl :
I hope you like grey skies! There is a pretty big, active music scene here. I would apply to clubs if you're looking to do sound. A lot of Seattle clubs are more like mini concert halls and they have serious sound equipment. Let me know if/when "vaguely" becomes "seriously."
from sunstargirl :
Hey! You're going to be like, "What is she going on about?" Because I just now saw a guestbook entry you wrote to me last month saying you're an INFP and I've got to say firstly, Hi my quieter self! hahaha. And secondly, that doesn't surprise me at all. Bear is also an INFP and you remind me a lot of him. Did you know the INFP is the rarest personality combination for men? You guys are very unique! INFPs make great writers, and it's funny because you guys even have a very similar writing style. Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes (best comic ever) is also an INFP. I personally think INFPs rock - Bear lets me be the social butterfly and when I'm feeling emotional he's immediately attuned to it (he knows what I'm thinking before I even open my mouth). Downside, being both "possibility" people, we're incapable of making even the smallest decisions. "Where do you want to go for dinner?" "I don't know..." "There's the Greek place..." "Um, that sounds good, or Chinese..." "Yum, Chinese! Or, you know we haven't been to the Thai place in awhile." "True, do you want to go there then?" "I don't know. Wherever you want to go." "I'm up for whatever you are." "We could just eat in." This has sometimes gone on for hours.
from longitude :
Lazy lake people. Sneak in! I want to go on an airboat ride.
from frankie123 :
i don't think we have, but yeah, thanks. an old friend has it and i don't think i'm ever seeing her or that copy again. PS snakes are badass and i want to pet one.
from frankie123 :
ooh, florida (i creeped your location page thing). that could do nicely. there's crocodiles and poison-snakes and shit, right? like in the country? actual SAND on beaches? i think we've got ourselves a deal
from longitude :
you are a squishy marshmallow
from longitude :
Tell the sun he's needed over here.
from frankie123 :
thanks :) it felt fantastic, too
from moodswing :
aaamazing. boyecho-retro.

from trainyard :
i don't think you have but thank you anyway. enjoy summer..
from trainyard :
i more than appreciate your blog.. keeps me coming back to this place..
from suckledhoney :
would there be anyway I could still be a voyeur of your blog?
from sunstargirl :
definitely rambunctious! He's leading a play hard, sleep hard kind of life.
from sunstargirl :
whoa, I've never seen a touch screen sound board before! I didn't even know that was possible.
from sunstargirl :
how can I train him to like water?
from longitude :
I like your face.
from moodswing :
smile next time
from sunstargirl :
haha, it was a most successful present. Sunstargirl= 1, pocketbook= 0. Oh, and by the way, self-hating? Pfft, from that picture you could be modeling for GQ. Guitars, tattoos AND good looking? Yeah, I'm sure you really have just so much trouble finding women when you want them.
from longitude :
minty steam + water. hope you are feeling better.
from longitude :
I left the house for the first time this week. I feel like an alien. With lots of bruises. You belong.. here.
from longitude :
sometimes, there's a little frog king too.
from and-the-way :
the hair washing always gets me. i could sit for hours and let someone lather up some suds on my head.
from sunstargirl :
I don't know about you, but there are totally black ninja assassins guarding my verbs.
from longitude :
don't forget to go to the beach
from sunstargirl :
chairs that rock and/or swivel 360 degrees are automatically awesome. the end.
from longitude :
vessels.. and other things.
from sunstargirl :
you have tats? whoa, you're suddenly way more hardcore than I originally thought. I was picturing you more as quiet, sensitive guitarist type... now you're like, possibly metal trasher guitarist type, or mysterious guitarist type with a tumultuous, seedy past. What kind of tats do you have? I once designed a tattoo for a friend. I didn't actually stab my friend with ink filled needles or anything. I just drew a starfish sucker side up which she took to a tattoo parlor and some guy then transferred it onto her back so it looks like her back is a piece of glass that a starfish is stuck to. It's so cool you collect elephants too. Elephant collectors are totally the most awesome people. I have two of those carved elephants with little ones inside. They're called soapstone carvings because they're made out of soapstone.
from sunstargirl :
yeah I know! I think I've told you about my elephant collection before, and what elephant collection would be complete without a giant wall hanging of Ganesh? If I were to ever get a tattoo, it'd have to be of Ganesh. But I'm allergic to pain, so I wouldn't ever get one.
from longitude :
guess who came home... otis. the owl.
from sunstargirl :
hey, if you come by Seattle, look us up. We'll show you the sites.
from longitude :
slowtiger
from dataguy :

from moodswing :
you should do it.. it would be good to have. i will, someday.
from longitude :
JAPAN-UPPER. youaregoingtobegreat. AHHHH-SO.
from sunstargirl :
yeah, I understand. I just hope you're wrong! haha. thanks for the good wishes.
from sunstargirl :
that's the most depressing thing I've ever heard.
from sephiragrace :
no don't stop writing.
from sunstargirl :
oh my goodness! I fear you've caught my bad luck from last week!
from sunstargirl :
Still, not an experience I ever hope to share... I can't believe something that heavy rolled over your foot and you were able to walk away! Lucky guy. You're not made of animantium, are you?
from sunstargirl :
geez! Are you okay?!?!
from spires :
oh okay, that's good. i totally imagined that it crushed all your bones and mangled your nerves and stuff. that you'd never walk again. i guess i don't really know how much 2000 weighs.
from spires :
shit, ouch. is your foot okay?
from longitude :
This just means you'll have to go back and take pictures again!
from and-the-way :
i understand your pain. i had a breakdown when i lost all of my pictures from greece after my computer crashed. not a good feeling.
from permeation :
Oh yeah, it's a really sad & lovely version, isn't it? It makes me all weepy. You should listen to their other stuff... Hope you're well my friend.
from longitude :
as you'd say, "hai"
from sunstargirl :
If you ever get tired of being lonely just say the word.
from sunstargirl :
weird. I had a dream I owned a motorcycle last night too. I was walking around carrying this big black helmet.
from longitude :
( llama hug )
from longitude :
I'm a slug this morning.
from sunstargirl :

from sunstargirl :
what was your favorite part of Korea and/or Japan?
from longitude :
. . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .
from raven72d :
Kyoto? And how is Japan this summer?
from longitude :
the image of you wrecked on the streets of kyoto at 2am is pretty solid. i miss you.

from longitude :

from sun-dials :

from sun-dials :

from longitude :
I want to know what you did.
from longitude :

from the-fakers :
Thank you for the note. Your username seems strangely apt. x
from longitude :
goodnight x's two. missed last night.
from longitude :
HAHAHA why creepy? My friend Emily keeps it on her wall now. On letting go.. I'm not sure that's entirely possible.
from longitude :
Did you see my drawing from years ago of the Freaky Cat Boy? I'm terribly jealous of your upcoming travels. Doing things by yourself is solid.
from sunstargirl :
Oh wow! I hope your new city is Portland because I heart that town so much. One of my favorite places. They have the best bookstore in the world. It's HUGE!
from sunstargirl :
haha, then you should move to Seattle where you can wake up to rain more than 225 days a year.
from sun-dials :
i am so excited for you.
from longitude :
I hope everything is okay.. [exciting!!]
from and-the-way :
i don't know what it is, but elephants are slowly becoming my favorite animal!
from longitude :
I just remembered "twigmovile". So I've picked out your colours.
from sunstargirl :
cha-ching! more monies for your trip to the OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD!! WHOO-HOO!
from spires :
jesus, don't tempt me. i don't think i've ever felt 95 degrees.
from longitude :
I wish I could open a door and step into one of your dreams during one of my dreams.
from longitude :
I'm pretty sure I've commented before on your dream posts, but I'll have to say again, you have intense dreams. And the fact that you can remember such detail is very good. It's bittersweet being home again.. I'll live vicariously through your upcoming travels. p.s. much to share..
from axde :
shoot. i didnt know you were a calexico fan. i approve. and you know, i should probably play kid icarus sometime. pit is my favorite smash bros brawl character. it's inevitable. be safe out there.
from sun-dials :
Go BIKE! ...that's what I'm doing later:)
from longitude :
SWIMMING! that is solid.. have an awesome week and i'll report everything when i return!
from longitude :
I'm still really liking that cat I showed you last night.
from spires :
a house that's always dancing! sounds wonderful to me.
from longitude :
If I get you something absurd from China, can we trade?
from sunstargirl :
LOVE the Goonies!! You = officially awesome, friend.
from sunstargirl :
looks like the guitar is coming along great! I'm so glad you've found a way to get to Japan and full fill that life-long dream!
from spires :
he was such a beautiful little thing, blue eyes sparkling while he spit into the wand. when i see kids i always try to picture them as adults. this one looked like an architect and it was cute.
from trainyard :
south korea will be amazing, too. i have written a few pieces on south korea, national trauma and cinema. it must be an amazing country to visit, thinking about their history, hardship, ...
from permeation :
You should definitely go to Japan if you have the chance. A good friend of mine is going there in a few weeks time, for a whole MONTH. "Jealousy" isn't even close. x
from sunstargirl :
woah, that was cryptic... gave me goose bumps.
from permeation :
3 bucks?! Bargain. I'd go as far to say that it's probably their best. ... yep, it's definitely their best.
from sun-dials :
Savannah?! For how long? I'm really excited to see the phases of this steel guitar:)
from sunstargirl :
thanks for posting pictures!! I can't wait to see it finished!!
from longitude :
Damn. I'd love to sit with you in an empty theatre and listen to this song over and over. You know, you're a real favourite of mine.
from swallowthkey :
oh the world of being an artist - knowing what is aesthetically pleasing, but having no idea how to go about producing it.
from lawliiet :
Yeah, I think I got it in 99. Any clue what it may be worth these days? Not that I could ever part with it but Ive always been curious. Oh, I made it to Gainesville without getting lost. Pretty proud of myself, ha. Common Grounds was smaller than I expected but I dug the atmosphere and it turned out to be one of the best shows Ive ever seen.
from sunstargirl :
listen to: "The Stable Song" by, Gregory Alan Isakov and tell me what you think.
from sunstargirl :
response is good. It means you're alive.
from longitude :
You hit the nail on the head. It's beautiful. If you disturb the sand with your foot or hand, hundreds of organisms react and illuminate briefly. I can't wait to go there.
from longitude :
I keep thinking every little sound outside is him.. I miss him tons. Thanks for your note.
from moodswing :
oxes, indeed. its been telling me i should talk to you soon
from moodswing :
mwahaha. well, i bought an amp before i bought the guitar.. just a little vox. jazzmasters and voxes. voxs? who do i think i am? haha anyway little vox does me well for now since i am in no position to play shows or anything
from longitude :
A teeny tiny orchestra of strings? Or maybe a mix of your music? I dunno. I'm easy. Mo-vile! That made me laugh actually
from longitude :
{Blood Bank} so very good. Should you ever want a twig-mobile, I shall send you one. And blackberry jam is so very very good.
from longitude :
(It's the hormones leaving this note..) Working with wood is sexy.
from sunstargirl :
that's so cool! You have to take some pictures of the building process and the finished product. I want to see!
from bluekoi :
hooray to building guitars! i can't wait to see/hear you play something you've made with your own hands.
from sun-dials :
ahh... sunburns. a glorious sign of summer.
from longitude :
I'm still trying..
from longitude :
{the dark} it's true. you can't. but you can, somehow, find light again.
from l-alle :
oh so jealous that you saw this show, and SO SO glad that you got to see them on yr bday. [happy birthday, boy.]
from longitude :
So great. I'm happy you had a good time. Happy Birthday.. xxo
from sun-dials :
to be honest, i can't say that i listen to alot of holopaw. what's your favorite album? and i promise, i'll buy and listen to it:) i'm pretty sure anything isaac brock touches is magic. 'nuff said.
from longitude :
When's the show? I hope you can sneak the camera in. I have to live vicariously through your experience.
from sun-dials :
i would go with you! if i wasn't hundreds of miles away that is...
from permeation :
I have to agree, but if done well it's not too shabby. Having said that, there are times on the album in question where I've sort of cringed. I still gotta keep my street cred, you know? PS. Low. Goodness.
from longitude :
crap. i wish i could go. i haven't seen low in too long. enjoy it double for me.
from l-alle :
im glad yr back.
from sunstargirl :
that was lovely to read.
from moodswing :
oh lord. good to know! i've not seen live music in over a year, so i've been looking around for shows. i will be in savannah this weekend! what fun.
from longitude :
I MISSED YOU. I love, absolutely love, the new look too.
from faucets :
I couldn't help but read your note to sun-dials -- the one about car wrecks. It just made me sort of smile, because I know what you're talking about. I thought I was the only one.
from sun-dials :
oh, what for? yes, i believe i'm destined for portland. or, at least destined to get out of wisconsin.
from l-alle :
http://squee-says.diaryland.com/
from l-alle :
right?! i wonder what she would say to you-know-who if SHE had a diary...
from and-the-way :
i'm secretly wishing for some snow even though it probably won't happen.
from l-alle :
to know that wishes are coming true for you makes me happy.
from longitude :
To know you're still here, reading, makes me glad. I hope you are well. I hope your holidays went swimmingly and I hope someday, to know you better.
from ollia :
I appreciate that -- but really, I need more practice.
from longitude :
it's not the same here without your name in red
from l-alle :
thank you
from l-alle :
oh sweet god in heaven. i hate finding out im a repeat.
from l-alle :
i miss you.
from permeation :
Me too...
from permeation :
Oh, I'm glad you like it. Why so predictable for you...? Ps: I miss you being around. x
from sun-dials :
i miss you
from ollia :
That's promising news -- I do hope it's true for me, too. Thanks.
from lawliiet :
Do you still use the screen name you had listed on your profile or have you retired it as well?
from longitude :
I don't want to assume anything, but I hope you find the courage to do what must be done.
from permeation :
for what it's worth, i hope your temporary disconnection with playing music is just that .. temporary. writing electronically is one thing, but i am almost certain that your soul speaks in notes, so don't give up. take a break, take the time out to redefine what it is you want from yourself, from people around you, from the world in general. we all need it at one point or another, and i hope that you find that spark again. xxx
from bi-pet :
p/w please!! [email protected]
from longitude :
Is it over?
from and-the-way :
Uh oh...
from sun-dials :
password?!?!?!!
from permeation :
??!!
from longitude :
PANDA! Ohhh you're here in CA aren't you?
from sunstargirl :
there are very few things in life that are free, but speech is one of them.
from lawliiet :
I hope your visit to the vet went well...
from nicefox :
listen, stranger. i'm sorry.
from lawliiet :
Your hours seem to be as messed up as mine.
from longitude :
are you alright over there??
from l-alle :
whatamiexperiencing?! haHA!
from l-alle :
...parodyvideomakerdeath
from permeation :
A detox, huh? Life always feels so much ... cleaner after one of those. Getting rid of things, clearing space for the sake of head space. Nice.
from breadisdead :
awww! sweet! there are exhibits here every weekend at the fleamarket :) so do you know about the show "Mad Men"? Golly, it's the best!
from bluekoi :
you're right. i just forgot. or, was feeling discouraged for way too long. [funny though, i don't even remember posting that here!]
from l-alle :
!
from permeation :
i've seen that! ages ago, however. youve just inspired me to search for it again, so thank you. there was a time when i used to think 'i want you' was the greatest song ever written. i used to play it on the radio show i worked for, and always got into trouble since it was like 7 minutes long or something. it always made me want to slow dance!
from permeation :
oh man, i do too. i wish i had fancy footwork like him - i'd be the coolest kid on the block.
from sun-dials :
YES! haha:)
from sun-dials :
it started snowing yesterday. i wish it was just cold.
from raven72d :
i'm so intrigued with your entries.
from sunstargirl :
i heart elephants.
from l-alle :
mushypear'd.
from raven72d :
The trick to sleeping is to know that someone is there next to you.
from and-the-way :
ooooh, legos. my favorite.
from sunstargirl :
I feel so bad for that girl. I've cried at work before... once when the rim light blew out and all the backdrops came tumbling down because my associate put them up wrong and I was behind in my sessions so people were waiting and this toddler I was shooting would not stop crying and his brother was autistic so he kept getting into all the props and wouldn't stay seated. The mother yelled at me to control her son and I (not knowing the kid was special-needs and thinking he was just being a brat) told her that I was a photographer, not God, and she blew up at me and stormed out. I went home that night and cried for like an hour. Worst day of work I ever had.
from raven72d :
17 sept. 2000--- you've been here even longer than I have...
from raven72d :
lines in the sand... i love the image...do write soon.
from longitude :
♥ rain
from raven72d :
hmmm... tell me ten things--- anything ---about yourself.
from lawliiet :
"wow. i just now realized i was taking time out of my afternoon to look at kittens." lol
from raven72d :
well, then--- I'll ask: tell me everything.
from longitude :
Must see Django. My bunny doesn't purr, but he grinds his teeth when he is happy.
from sunfuck :
up until the latter half of your post, i was visualing the human django playing in your living room (the guitar i mean) and also jumping in your bed to cuddle...needless to say, it was amazing.
from longitude :
me too.
from raven72d :
Your own entries are fascinating.
from sunstargirl :
"monkey!" LOL!! that is priceless.
from longitude :
MONKEY! You have intense dreams. I haven't met many people who remember their dreams in such vivid details.
from l-alle :
YR a nice shower curtain.
from ollia :
Oh, that explains it! I sat here for a few moments, just wondering. And you're welcome. :)
from ollia :
What do you mean?
from bluekoi :
diaryland says you're online. i'm looking forward to tomorrow.
from longitude :
If you have enough time in LB, do try and see the Aquarium. It's not very big and it's not very elaborate, but I enjoy visiting every summer. There is so much for you to do and see.. really. I could make lists all night.
from longitude :
Pandas are so worth 1000's of miles. If I were closer, I'd buy you a drink or two or three.
from longitude :
curious curious curious - what's happening in california for you? puppies are love magnets for sure!
from longitude :
california? where? oh, my.
from lawliiet :
Drat. Missed you in Jacksonville.
from raven72d :
all very intriguing here...
from longitude :
feel better soon. i'm glad you got out there.
from l-alle :
[happy birthday, diary.]
from l-alle :
you need a vacation.
from spires :
did you take your background photograph? i'm liking it's comforting feel.
from permeation :
definitely hijacking sleepy headspace. it was your dl name - i was referring to it, or reading your dl, or something. didnt make much sense, but i think its a clear indication that i should spend less time in front of the computer.
from permeation :
so, your name/*you* were in my dream last night. it was all very weird, and not much of it made sense. (as per usual).
from longitude :
combine us.
from and-the-way :
i became curious and looked up crooked fingers. i dig it.
from l-alle :
ditto for yr every entry. [aim::endlessnumbered]
from l-alle :
i hope that by 'here' you mean a place other than _here_. cos yd be missed _here_. [im selfish.]
from sunstargirl :
are you asking what our fears are? do you want rational or irrational ones, cuz I got plenty-o-both.
from l-alle :
um, b e c a r e f u l !
from l-alle :
yeh! im pretty excited!
from l-alle :
i feel yr pain. a friends band is here tonight, on tour from chicago, and i cant go. [bff's bday celebration.] the worst of it is that she has opted to celebrate at the most pretentious, pretty hipster factory of all time.
from and-the-way :
they're cuties. :)
from l-alle :
his ears are amazing! little sonar head...
from l-alle :
[falls over dead] he is a DANGEROUS amount of cute! [and momma is not bad looking, either] i owe you.
from l-alle :
request:: picture of young black bean of a cat
from l-alle :
THANK YOU! [high fives] build up the callouses in yr fingertips or get a pick already, people! [also, you said something the other day about 'too much vic chesnutt...'- but it made me remember how much i love the song 'sad peter pan'.]
from l-alle :
re:: 729p - what if you already are?
from l-alle :
and ps- this might not mean much, but i dont think yr a faker. this little corner of the internet that you have here seems teeming with sincerity.
from l-alle :
[good lord im dominating yr notes] yes, a trade it will be.
from l-alle :
well now i just dont know about sharing, boyecho. i dont remember ever seeing a posting of that epic song you wrote about recently...
from l-alle :
ah. mine was 'things we lost...' [and re:: yr recent long entry- id love to be you for a weekend.]
from l-alle :
hey! i was listening to low this morning, too! which album?
from l-alle :
1. i love that you update regularly. 2. i _know_ that servant-of-the-nothing cat face you are talking about. 3. 'it was like he wanted to rob people, but not for money. instead for happiness and security.' <- that would make for the most terrifying reality. if it was something that could be physically shaken out of us, i mean.
from l-alle :
i remember after The Big Break-Up, i was scared about sleeping alone in the bed. i have an old marsona sound machine, and the first night- i put on the 'surf' setting, stretched out like a starfish, closed my eyes and fell asleep to the sound of electronic waves crashing on an imaginary shoreline; my bed a little island of respite. [im glad that yr back is feeling better, and that there seem to be a lot of good things on the horizon.]
from and-the-way :
you're not too much further down from me, so hopefully a breeze will come soon. and congrats on the boss's love for your songs. i've always wished i was muscial enough to write my own things.
from sun-dials :
I'm crossing my fingers for you[!]
from l-alle :
!! [fingers crossed for you]
from sunstargirl :
I hear ya, buddy. the perils of the American dream.
from l-alle :
im glad that both you and the bike escaped relatively unscathed.
from sunstargirl :
less than 6 hours sleep actually prematurely ages your brain. Sleep deprivation is also the most effective way to brainwash a person. Just thought you should know. Try taking some valerian root about a half hour before bedtime.
from l-alle :
congratulations on noisemaking. im currently green.
from sunstargirl :
Oh so cool! The junk art sounds awesome. I wish you had taken a picture.
from l-alle :
...sounded bad, but i meant it in a good way.
from l-alle :
i cannot believe you posted this song.
from kerrydreams :
Who do you like better...Kate Bush or Trent Reznor?
from suckledhoney :
I think those lyrics have made more sense to me than any others I've heard, but I'm not entirely sure why. I suppose, however, that I have you to thank for them.
from sunstargirl :
lol, you really do love to play devil's advocate, don't you? Come now, how can learning and understanding more about yourself be dangerous?
from sunstargirl :
isn't introspection fun? ;)
from sun-dials :
random thought: i think you would like this band, golden shoulders. dont know why i thought of you, but i did :)
from theways :
i'm so with you on the cold weather fashionista thing.
from suckledhoney :
I want to hear.
from suckledhoney :
thank you; i needed that.
from and-the-way :
Perhaps a cereal party would help ease some of the pain? Maybe not the back pain, but a big bowl of Froot Loops usually makes me feel ten times better.
from idividedbyi :
it did, did it?
from sunstargirl :
geez, I hope Obama wins so we can get you to a doctor, boy. This chronic back pain is not normal!
from suckledhoney :
(preemptive strike)
from suckledhoney :
I have been on dland since 2002. My personal tastes conflict with my social consciousness. That's just how it is.
from permeation :
hiiii. thank you for your email address - i'll delete it once i lock this bad boy up in a few days. xxx
from sunstargirl :
If you always win, then what's the big deal? You're going to win this battle soon enough as well.
from l-alle :
anonymous masses will be the judge of that
from l-alle :
if only there was a way to convince you to post a snippet of the metal masterpiece...
from breadisdead :
catching up, i just read your entry about the kai-oats, have you seen this? just in case: http://dailycoyote.blogspot.com/ (try and start at the beginning)
from and-the-way :
i tried arizona tea for the first time the other day, and only because i thought the can looked pretty.
from and-the-way :
never too late to let go and have fun, but just a little too late to care whether there is a rule against chalking the floors.
from sunstargirl :
thanks for the info! We're going to have to get one of their albums. I hope all is well with you... it sounds like someone (a girl?) used/led you on recently? And that's just terrible. You deserve better. I hope you find a woman who fully values and appreciates you.
from sunstargirl :
Bear and I both really liked that song. We want to know who that was.
from kerrydreams :
Boyecho, I was just reading through your diary and I felt like I was reading a powerful novel or a heartbreaking poem. You have magic. You have a fire burning inside of you. I can't wait to read more!
from sunstargirl :
do you write lyrics? You should.
from theways :
they are very rare here. and i just learned the one i saw is a neighbour's pet. for real.
from theways :
that's harsh.
from veganfuckk :
i love how all of jd salinger's other works outshine catcher in the rye, just a little bit. to me anyway. by the way, i discovered parker and lily through one of your entries. thank you for that.
from suckledhoney :
I was thinking of you while I was admiring the coming Autumn. I was trying to remember what the Autumn months were like in Florida, trying to remember if the Autumn here feels as wondrous as did the act of giving over to the power of ocean waves. I couldn't remember. Still, I think I'm for Autumn. I think it's for me.
from sunstargirl :
I'm glad your cat is okay.
from permeation :
i am so glad that you turned around...
from suckledhoney :
I will do my best to find it. If I can't, I will let you know. Thank you.
from suckledhoney :
I'm leaving this note on a few diaries, as I need a little help or at least some suggestions. I need some new (to me, anyway) music or to be sparked to some old (to me, anyway) music. I need something that is at once passionate and sexy and beautiful. Any suggestions you could give me would be deeply appreciated.
from sunstargirl :
haha! the end of your guestbook entry just made me laugh really hard! Thanks for sharing your list! (Phoenix is my favorite scent from that line. I buy it for Bear all the time. Good taste).
from sunstargirl :
there is something very amorous about your writing style, especially your entries pertaining to music. When I visit here, I feel like I'm only reading the snippets of some greater romantic saga - something very mystical yet also sad, as if the hero has already loved and lost and is now afflicted with a broken heart. I'm not saying any of this is true of you particularly, it's just the feeling I imagine when I read here. You writing is beautiful and tragic, very ethereal while at the same time heavy with an unspoken burden. It makes me want to know more about the back-stories behind each entry, but at the same time I don't want to break the enchantment with which the clues are being presented. Basically, I think you're a very good writer. :)
from sunstargirl :
thanks for the warm welcome! And it's true, if you want a job done right you have to do it yourself. :)
from sephiragrace :
i like.
from sunstargirl :
sounds like you are feeling overwhelmed or trapped and don't feel like you can rely on anyone to help you.
from theways :
i often die in my dreams also. but man, that dream of yours was a fucked up one. i think i'd hate to dream of guns.
from sun-dials :
don't know why, but your last entry felt like summer.
from burneddown :
i think you left a note for me in error (burneddown and breadisdead look similar at a glance)
from breadisdead :
oh im sorry! that was pretty abrupt and rude. a mix of the no sleeps and was actually quite excited to come across your diary entries = blurting out band recommendations. i hope you will have a listen anyway, the YYYs may be played out but this is so fresh! ok bye.
from breadisdead :
you might like http://www.myspace.com/nativekoreanrock
from longitude :
sake and cheese? i'm coming over.
from suckledhoney :
Also, you know, your presence has been missed.
from suckledhoney :
*than
from suckledhoney :
alternately, /I know I'm easier said that done/
from equivocally :
first time reading your diary. i like it. hope you have a nice day :)
from permeation :
all perfectly reasonable - and good. here's to lighter loads & breathing free xx
from permeation :
if you were car 54, i'd say WHERE ARE YOU?
from and-the-way :
So it's become a habit to read your diary everytime I login because I'm guaranteed an update. This lack of reading is throwing me off a bit. And I apologize if that sounds stalker-like.
from longitude :
July 18th is the next full moon. Don't forget to make that trip. xxo
from sunstargirl :
...or you could be feeling this way because you didn't exercise yet today. You need to ride your bike.
from sunstargirl :
sounds like you're in a rut. you need to go somewhere, have a vacation.
from theways :
apples... i find them so filling, it's the good kind of food to have around when the money gets low. or stay low, in my case. those ladies! i know! perfect indeed.
from sunstargirl :
That's too bad. I've never played with all the books though.
from permeation :
ooooh. how i've missed listening to arab strap. have you ever listened to absentee?
from sunstargirl :
shut up! D&D is cool!!
from moodswing :
this afternoon i dreamt you had a baby. then i told you about my dream but i wasn't actually awake yet.
from theways :
my roommate.
from permeation :
stand him back up.
from suckledhoney :
I'm not above buying you a bear, too. Well, except it probably isn't the best idea to "own" wildlife.
from and-the-way :
Insects...YES. I found a mosquito bite on the palm of my hand and I don't know when or how it got there.
from suckledhoney :
I'd like to buy you a beer sometime.
from longitude :
There's a beach south of me, only accessibly by a flight of stairs that start off as concrete and slowly become flat slate steps and then wooden planks by the time you reach a private road. The beach I've deemed "Magic Beach", because one night, a friend and I decided it was a good idea to go to the beach at 2am, we discovered magic sand. Phosphorescent microorganisms washed ashore, and would glow and spark if we disturbed the wet sand. Completely awestruck, we proceeded in covering the shore with drawings and words just to watch the sand glow. I'll never forget it.. I hope you make it out next full moon.
from longitude :
GET.ON.THE.ROAD. But of course, I'm saying this from afar, not thinking at all what would really happen to you if you just up and left. Loss of job, facing the guilt of having done something so spontaneous as to cost you said job.. The suckitude of being an "adult".
from longitude :
A raygun! I want a boyecho raygun tee shirt. What a lucky little nephew.. These notes are mini emails aren't they. I'm listening to Elika right now. I like Eva's (giving her a nickname already!) voice a lot. It reminds me a bit of Stefanie Bohm of Ms. John Soda. I was trying to embed this little flash mp3 player on my diary, so I could let you listen to some of my new favourite songs, but it looks so ugly and messes everything up so I took it off. I should update muxtape soon and share that with you but it's such a pain in the butt sitting here waiting for uploads to be done.
from longitude :
I hope Django is okay. Do you silkscreen stuff at home or have someone do it for you? I'm interested in what your super secret image is. I don't have any super secret image/logo, but I do have a mini silkscreen machine which you've inspired me to get working again. I'd like to print up some tiny tees babies my friends are hatching. BABIES! Whoa.
from longitude :
I just received Elika's self-titled album a couple of days ago. I haven't given it a thorough listen yet, but as I will be traveling a few hundred miles in a few days, it'll make it to my driving soundtrack for sure.
from sunstargirl :
Did you know that hot sauce can be used to treat arthritis? I saw it on the news recently. It's a new discovery.
from longitude :
Pioulard is pretty genius. There are a ton of musicians I wonder if you have heard or like. B. Flesichmann, Ulrich Schnauss, Bexar Bexar, Aaron Spectre. Often times, I find myself retreating from situations where the only thing I can do is be honest because I'm afraid it will sting someone, but I always find, that in the end, it makes things better.
from permeation :
not a bad thing at all. the tiny puddles part is the best part.
from permeation :
when you write 'tiny puddles' all i see is that scene in amelie...
from and-darling :
You're interesting and you update a lot. Just thought I'd let you know.
from permeation :
gross, i can imagine he is. he seems like he'd also be really slimey. where can i listen to the sounds *you* make...?
from permeation :
& it's a great album too. i was listening to it when i titled that entry/mix. x ps, what show do you work for/are you setting up things for james taylor? too personal?
from permeation :
thank you for so many, too many things.
from and-the-way :
I think I'd wake up tired with dreams like those.
from suckledhoney :
I've probably made this stridently obvious, but I am quite in love with Palimend and Alan & Dawn. Thanks.
from permeation :
bike rides after midnight. that sounds ideal.
from longitude :
warm feelings
from suckledhoney :
I've wanted to show you something touching on your recent theme of "over and over," but I can't. Perhaps just the wanting is enough, though.
from sunstargirl :
very interesting dreams you're having lately. At least you get to be an action adventure hero in them!
from axde :
good sons is my favorite s59 song. listen to it permeation. DO IT. and back scratchers do not suck. i think they're very effective.
from permeation :
well, for what it's worth i'm glad you didnt block it. also, for years i've seen starflyer 59 listed on various sites and heard the name but have never given them a listen - based on what i've heard today, that's all about to change. so thank you, again.
from permeation :
ps, who is this band because i cheated and went to the page with lots of songs and now i'm just going through the list. Mr Martin acoustic is pretty great, too. sorry.
from permeation :
'sous la plage'? this song is beautiful...thank you.
from axde :
i could always use a back scratcher for that. or a tree. or a wall. so technically i can still do it. oh man. revelation. any other examples and ill shoot those down too.
from and-the-way :
hello! yes, i love mucha as well (obviously). i once saw a girl with the same image tattooed on her back, and that made me like it even more.
from permeation :
i'd have to agree. also, if youre a sun kil moon fan, have you heard the mark kozelek 'smokey (demo version)'? it's been on repeat for the last month and i cant get enough of it. nobody will ever do it the way red house painters did.
from permeation :
i keep all of my tracklistings. in case you were interested. (the quiet and vulgar kind is the best kind) x
from longitude :
looking forward to your return
from permeation :
i've been out of sync with technology for two days, and i come back and there are too many comments for this tiny box in response to the last few days of your entries. SDRE, heaven sometimes- especially when it's quiet everywhere but inside of your head. the beach, at night, missing -i live four minutes from the beach but it's not my home. i miss the vast expanse of sky in texas, when it goes all orange and red like a mixture of oil paintings all splashed together as one. there's all so much to say sometimes...
from aperfectmap :
yeah, the transition between night and day is interesting. i take a lot of long walks, especially in the period of time where that transition occurs. night is something special.
from longitude :
I'm curious about your music. Goodnight Florida.
from permeation :
today's mix partially inspired by you (low..) http://adaysmix.muxtape.com/
from kevinwhitby :
While you were writing about Jeremy Enigk, he was playing a show with my fave. I was missing it. Sadly.
from junitown :
thank you...theways.diaryland.com... (this is where i hide for now.)
from sunstargirl :
lol, you're funny when you talk to yourself.
from longitude :
It is frustrating to be afraid to do things because of the lack of money. I quit my job a couple of months ago and I haven't found anything I want to get into, so it's hindering me a bit. Some of my best memories come from being near the ocean or in it. Your entries make me want to dig deeper into you, but at the same time, I don't want to be impatient.
from kevinwhitby :
I know your stars pretty well.
from kevinwhitby :
waterbaby
from longitude :
The story about slipping on the fish made me smile. I hope you have more adventures to share in the future. Thanks for these.
from longitude :
Tell me beach stories.
from permeation :
you've got fantastic taste in music. fact.
from longitude :
The beach at night is magical. In fact, there is this beach that I only visit at night because of the phosphorescent algae.
from aperfectmap :
it was good luck, i think. though, i then realized that you are a favorite of a few people i am a favorite of. it was an interesting coincidence.
from longitude :
I'm listening to Long Division because of you. I saw Low play years ago at this small club in L.A. I stood alone, even though I wasn't alone, hiding the tears that rolled off my cheeks. They're everything aching and beautiful. Favourite beach?
from permeation :
Low is ... something else entirely. Other-wordly, even.
from sunstargirl :
short caption for the vid? who are they, why this song, etc?
from longitude :
Low kills me.
from sunstargirl :
take off your armor and dive in! You're not truly living until you do!
from lawliiet :
Reading your entries make me calm. Thank you.
from sunstargirl :
LOL! "altar of love" it's just an old army trunk from World War II. Most of the time, it's used as a makeshift bookshelf. Yes, they're soapstone elephants. My friend brought them back for me from India because I collect elephants, but I've seen them in stores here in the US as well. In response to one of your recent entries about dreams and life, the ancient Aztecs believed that this life is all just a dream that the gods are having. Kind of interesting to think about... and no way to prove their theory isn't correct.
from kerplunkx :
haai, your diary layout is well good! that is all :S
from sunstargirl :
Try Valerian Root. My boyfriend uses it for anxiety and as a sleep aid for his insomnia. He swears by it. It's a natural alternative to prescription drugs. You can find it in any health store.
from sunstargirl :
lol!! "country AND western"
from sweetmiser :
:) Just a thought. You never know!
from sweetmiser :
Maybe you went out and did push-ups in the middle of the night, and that's why your shoulders hurt.
from axde :
go to sleep, boy. [new reader here.]
from sunstargirl :
yeah, I know you aren't satisfied with the band, but still, I'd just like to be able to hear what you're talking about in your blog all the time. Besides which, I'm an artist so I know we're always our own worst critics. You shouldn't put band-aids on cuts because it makes an oxgen-poor humid environment where bacteria grows more quickly. The best thing to do for cuts is let them breathe. They heal more quickly. (Unless it's a huge cut, in which case stitches are required.)
from sunstargirl :
I wish I could hear some of your stuff. Does your band have a myspace music page or something? If not, you should think about setting one up! Free advertising!
from sun-dials :
I've been in the UK for so long that I had to think about what you were referring to when you mentioned 'chips'. This entry made me smile.
from sunstargirl :
Vincent van Gogh was an absinthe-aholic. He made all his paintings while he was trippin on the stuff.
from swallowthkey :
it's really strange what cats will eat, honestly. our one cat really loves cheddar cheese, but only the orange kind, and my cat LOVES fresh mango. that's what i love about cats - they have so much personality, even down to their food choices. haha.
from kevinwhitby :
1: thank you. 2: the email thing is just a part of the form.
from sunstargirl :
you're not that obvious, I'm just that smart. haha, j/k! Murakami is brilliant. I own The Wind Up Bird Chronicles, Kafka On The Shore and Norwegian Wood. I think Kafka is my favorite, but Wind Up Bird comes in at a close second. I really want to read more of his books, but I just haven't had the time yet.
from kevinwhitby :
Don't make the mystery too tough for the less-than-bright amongst us.
from sunstargirl :
oh I'm so glad you found a place to get that surgery done for Paco! also, I empathize with the bad dreams. they suck.
from sunstargirl :
wow, I wish I had magic healing dreams that really healed me in real life!
from tragicskies :
=*(
from sunstargirl :
Oh that is just terrible news. I'm so sorry to hear about the cat. Good lord, I can't believe how much vets charge!! Where's Michael Moore?!?! Seriously though, it is always so sad when a pet is injured. My cat was shot through the eye with a BB gun by some punk teenager when I was a kid. Her eye was hanging out of the socket when I found her. The vet put her eye back in, but she was blind in that eye from then on. The little pellets were stuck in her jawbone for life because it would have been more damaging to try to remove them than just let them remain there. It totally changed the cat's whole personality. She was never the same cat. She went from a loving and affectionate kitten to a skiddish, whining cat that wouldn't ever let anyone pet her. That was the worst part, I think.
from sunstargirl :
Why do you sabotage your chances at love? You need to figure that out and deal with it before you can be happy. Some part of you is fighting against yourself because it feels you don't deserve happiness or is afraid for some reason. You have to get yourself to stop working against you by addressing with that inner anxiety. It's really a far more common problem in people than you may think. Also, your diary always makes me hungry. Chili sauce sounds so good right now. :)
from swallowthkey :
well look at you being all update-y tonight. it is late, echoing boy, but insomnia prevails and i guess all you can do is try to make something beautiful or at least interesting out of it. words are beautiful, but i don't have very many of them lately. keep glowing, glowworm.
from sunstargirl :
Have you ever seen the movie Big Fish? I think you need another new bed. Also, my friend Deb responded to your note in my guestbook, then I responded to both of you.
from kevinwhitby :
You've gone about speaking my mind before, but never so often as the last few days. Words words words.
from kevinwhitby :
I wish I wish I wish.
from sunstargirl :
I think your writing style is very poetic. Maybe I'm not getting the whole specific situation that you're writing about in each entry, but I think I understand the general mood and feel of it. You make sense to me. :) I'm glad you enjoyed my joke. hehe. I was planning it for days, making sure he had forgotten it was going to be April Fool's Day by not mentioning it, etc. hahaha. Now I have to wait a few years for him to forget before I victimize him again, lol.
from kevinwhitby :
All the time. Sometimes because of you.
from kevinwhitby :
You're right, in that it wasn't.
from sunstargirl :
jesus, sounds like quite a night... at least everyone liked your set.
from sunstargirl :
You should watch this short video, since you have kitties: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmwqpHsMExg
from sunstargirl :
sounds interesting! Anything like Pink Floyd? They are my favorite band ever. I've been learning guitar, but I'm very much a beginner. I hope your tummy feels better tomorrow. By the way, I like your taste in literature - it's what made me click on you to begin with.
from sunstargirl :
improv is the best. Have you studied jazz at all?
from kevinwhitby :
You didn't. And good for you.
from sunstargirl :
it wouldn't be the end of the world, just the end of humanity. HUGE difference. the world would actually be better off.
from veganfuckk :
mmm I love tempeh! so nut-esque and good to grill.
from veganfuckk :
Your diary is mesmerizing.
from kevinwhitby :
I haven't been able to stop listening to White Trash Heroes since you posted Dead Read Eyes.
from sun-dials :
I love your last entry. Your cat sounds adorable.
from junitown :
"the shock of this horribly ugly, and absolutely un-cute diaryland interface has not worn off yet.." amen.
from kevinwhitby :
you, me, and justine bateman. that's where it's at. apparently. cheers.
from kevinwhitby :
the 19th here, I assumes yours is the 18th?
from lightfallsup :
i'm thankful there's people who recognize fugazi when they see them. thanks for coming by.
from swallowthkey :
neither did i. and there was this one moment in my life where i think that, if i had just turned around, the moment would have been perfect to kiss him. i wish i had taken it, or that i had been mature enough at the time to notice it. how unfortunate.
from kevinwhitby :
There is nothing like a warm bed on a cold morning.
from swallowthkey :
holy intense dream, batman! talk about sensory details.
from swallowthkey :
hello =) missed reading you.
from kevinwhitby :
I download all your songs.
from kevinwhitby :
Over the last many years I've begun to actually like spicy/hot food. Previous to this, I've been rather sissy-lipped. Anyway, I made some noodles and chili peppers today. It was so hot that I felt as though my lips were on fire. When I went for a drink, I brushed the lip of the glass against my lips and even that gentle contact to my burning lips brought tears to my eyes. Delicious, though, I won't lie.
from bethb :
good gravy boy! that's HUGE! looks nice
from nattsvermer :
i was reading your diary and i think you are thoroughly amazing
from moodswing :
drunkard!
from tofalldivine :
Three classes does not a shitty student make. I'm sort of jealous of your anth class and the fact that your language classes actually have spaces. Requirements fucking suck, yeah?
from bethb :
i demand more kitty photos!
from bethb :
the last picture cracked me up! he is SO CUTE!
from bethb :
thank you!
from bethb :
http://www.nippop.com/ you probably know that site already, but just in case...
from bethb :
what's the name of your japanese band obsession? or am i dumb and missed it...
from thebeesknees :
sorry to hear about your grandmother. xo.
from bethb :
if yr in DC tonight (tuesday), you should swing by the black cat for aquarium/the hold up. good stuff!
from tofalldivine :
That is a wicked story. I've never seen it done here and really it would brighten my day if I saw someone run off the train or out of their car to hug somebody. Thanks.
from bethb :
once, i was up in the fly galley loading weights (20 pounders!) onto the arbor, and i caught the pads of both middle fingers between the weight i was loading and the existing top weight and i popped them like rasins. i still get grossed out thinking about it.
from bethb :
username: bethb password: friend
from tofalldivine :
Thank you. That was sweet. I like that you used sassy to describe him so I may have to steal it for my cat. Everyone else calls her fat and mean. I prefer to refer to her as lap-sized and selective. Sassy seems like a proper alternative.
from tofalldivine :
How did you decide on the name django? It is utterly fantastic.
from tofalldivine :
I really don't know what is more adorable, your cat or your love for your cat.
from ohjamie :
my heart just melted he certainly is adorable :)
from bethb :
ooh! puppy!!! cute! my mom calls me "sister" when refering to her cat. and while i ordinarlily like cats, her cat sucks eggs.
from ohjamie :
i don't mean to taunt ;] but in all fairness, it hasn't really snowed yet. just random patches of flurries passing by
from ohjamie :
I miss rainy days like that. For now, I have to settle for snowflakes on my eyelashes.
from moodswing :
good job..
from heylyla :
just felt the need to tell you i really like your diary... i hope you have a wonderful day, dear.
from bethb :
ding ding ding!
from ohjamie :
are you okay?
from ohjamie :
aw...my friend dressed up as a paper-bag and I was a roll of paper towel.
from ohjamie :
me too !!
from tarynheart :
are you seriously going as the boondock saints for halloween? that is pretty much the most awesome thing i've heard today.
from bethb :
aww...man man are SO GOOD! they're in my neck of the woods saturday, but i'm having a pumpkin carving party.
from dearcynthia :
your site looks beautiful. (i haven't been here in a long while.)
from bethb :
you can judge mars volta because they suck dong. seriously. it's ok. for what it's worth, i hate at the drive in too.
from cardboardsky :
:) you're welcome.
from tofalldivine :
Alas, you are locked and now I am unable to read your guitar hunting, city travelling exploits. Sorry you had to shut it.
from bethb :
um....?
from tarynheart :
cats are the best. no matter how indifferent to you they sometimes seem, you know they love you because they give you that face when you pet them and they miss you a lot when you go away. i'm in holland right now and my cat is all the way back home in canada, and well, i hope he misses me as much as i miss him.
from bethb :
i am so jealous....so so very jealous.
from bethb :
i....i don't think you'll get pizza at quimby's. you can get some fine fine comics 'tho. and porn. and the best vietnamese food i've ever had in my life at a place called 'tank noodle', although that's not near wicker park where quimby's is.
from thebeesknees :
no early work? what type of f'd up policy is that? math sucks anyway. have fun in chicago. let me know if you need any info on how to get around, places to go, etc.
from bethb :
hey, i posted a big black video from youtube on my diarything. have a great time in chicago. -b.
from tofalldivine :
Tarynheart told me your diary journaly thing was wicked and I took her word for it. She was so very right. I hope you don't mind if I lurk about and read it.
from tarynheart :
the thanks belong to you, dearest. i love reading what you write.
from bethb :
yeah! chicago!!!! i so wish i was going....
from thebeesknees :
i shot you an email with the relevant info, from pursedangler at yahoo dot com. if you didn't get it, let me know and i'll try try again.
from bethb :
i'm jealous you're getting to see the monorchid.
from bethb :
no! don't give up your kitty...maybe there's something in the cabinets he's playing with? maybe get him a cardboard scratching thing doused in catnip? that helps sadie sometimes. also, he might just be adjusting to changes or feeling ignored. i don't know....
from just-onebody :
"i even had him kicking off the wall and doing half flips." Exactly like my own cats!
from bethb :
i took a picture of my kitty sadie sleeping with her tongue out. it's the greatest thing ever.
from moodswing :
not only are his paws getting bigger, but his little toes stretch out when i pet him, and he rubs his head on my stomach i am teaching him to be good at night, i hope
from sun-dials :
no... it wasn't too long of a mess. lol
from bethb :
that is SUCH an amazing line up... i'mma already going to chicago in july for pitchfork...which i kinda can't believe i'm doing, but os mutantes!!!!!and the mountain goats!!! and mission of burma! and man man!
from bethb :
drat! when is the touch and go fest? will the jesus lizard be playing? will the threat of david yow's scrotum be enough to keep me away? i think yes...
from bethb :
i still have the poor danelectro bass. it's just woefully underplayed. and stares at me. and yeah, i've been writing in this thing for far too long...
from just-onebody :
What is it about guys and remembering car models?
from just-onebody :
I like Ranma 1/2. Anime can be hilarious.
from just-onebody :
*neat
from just-onebody :
Poor boy! No electricity, no mobility, and no food! You're the first person I know who is allergic to latex. About your throat closing up like that: I was watching my cat and she made throat-noises before throwing up two need slices of food/fur mush. Then I read your entry. You remind me of a cat.
from just-onebody :
Be of good cheer, I'm here, never did leave, just not updating, that's all. Having too much fun reading other people's entries. (That bloody right entry is excellent!)
from just-onebody :
One advice: Dream BIG.
from just-onebody :
Nice descriptive entry. Nice to know more about where you come from.
from just-onebody :
Yeah...
from just-onebody :
I'll definitely check out the book sometime very soon. Regarding letting the anticipated band members down, maybe that will not happen when you get a group of guys together with a similar mindset as yours. "Guys, let's see where this 5 months take us. Let's squeeze some unforgettable grooves as we save ourselves from musical meandering before the appointed diaspora."
from just-onebody :
"if you had invoked me before you began this journey, perhaps some of your troubles might have been avoided" - who's the 'you' and 'me'? Just curious.
from just-onebody :
And yeah, I'm taking humanities, Sociology.
from just-onebody :
Hey you. Intellectually specific replies like that petrifies me. Firstly, it means that I have to go check them words out to not come across as brushing off your note. Secondly, maybe I have to up my notes from now on to not sound like child's play. But since I like your diary and I like trivia, I'll put myself on the line nonetheless.
from just-onebody :
Suspending judgement may go against your innate survival mechanism. My conscience tells me things and I listen to it, because I've been delivered by it many times. Maybe that's why suspended judgement cannot prolong more than those few seconds.
from just-onebody :
The most terrible thing about that dream for me was the fact that you were conscious that you were dead, or supposed to be. And living death.
from just-onebody :
It's your call :)
from just-onebody :
Don't let the deities get into your head.
from just-onebody :
Oh those squirrelies with their tiny paws digging at your command! Woot that's an interesting topic, I'm encouraging you on.
from just-onebody :
The car is phat!
from moodswing :
that is my favourite song. well, one of them.
from somstar :
I was just curious what your username signified? And I wanted to say hi =o)
from just-onebody :
Singing along to a song makes me feel healthy. Glad you're doing it.
from just-onebody :
Re: Juice. I agree, like totally? (in the shallowest bimbo voice you can imagine)
from echopunk :
Hello, I haven't been a dutiful note-checker so I've only just received yours. I wanted to say thank you and what a nice stranger you are and, have we met before? On D-land, of course? Because your name sounds familiar. Also, as per your recent entries: is your arm okay? I hope all is well where you are. ~j
from sleepingin :
what did you do to your arm???
from sleepingin :
*hug*
from sleepingin :
i just realized i have a soft spot for florida and it is all because of you.

from sicluceatlux :

from declination :
BOO!
from enigmotion :
very capturing.
from girl101 :
this part makes me liquidize: "because distance creates distance. time passes and things begin to get blurry." i like what you have to say.
from westjones :
hey nice layout just read a few pages but wanted to jot down a few words.. check out my page if your bored c-ya
from dpentacles :
Hi.I read some of your entries and I'm curious what type of song you're composing?
from robofille :
hi ! :D
from katfille :
im surprised that youre in florida and have heard them. i didntrealize they had a following outside of the northeast yet. ps, les parapluies de cherbourg is i very good but very creepy movie. never was quite sure about all that singing--do you speak the frenchy french? *kat
from katfille :
we are officially the only two people who have interpol listed as yummy music. cheers *kat
from kstarr :
i'm enjoying a fair bit some of your literary choices. that and fugazi. keep on.
from dropthebomb :
The Neverending Story + Fugazi = knock my socks off
from smartepants :
you must have the most patience ever. man o man. XO
from amazingsushi :
yes. lets drown ourselves in self pity. :_(
from echopunk :
*sigh* the year might look up for both of us. 20 cant be worse than 16, right? (thats where you are suposed to say, no of course not)...but thank you. ~j
from disruptions :
you like girls against boys. yay for that. and the turtle story, oh, the cuteness factor is way up there.
from paperfight :
florida is the worst. i've never known anyone that has seen psycho beach party. strange.
from paperfight :
i was wondering where you were from while reading this and then i saw florida. that's all.
from vanityangel :
damn it i wanna lil turtle too! ur lucky! did you ever name him/her?
from rustyrobot :

from heartshaped :
i like this place. xo.
from rhyme :
hiii. :)
from ilovegeeks :
i'm guessing ucf, unless it's high school. i was just curious, i figured you were a floridian due to your reference to gainseville.
from ledbeatle :
don't wave goodbye forever. anyone who likes man or astroman must have some cool reasons to say hello.
from ilovegeeks :
beautiful isn't the best way to describe it, but it comes to mind.
from boyrepellant :
i enjoyed your diary and you have excellent taste in music. Too bad you do not have AIM working, i would be interested in talking to you. Please check out my journal and let me know what you think!
