I don't know what to say. How about: Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. You are so sweet. That you would do that for me - really a complete stranger - floors me. And impresses me. As much as I would love to be the proud new owner of a bubblegum filled Buffy lunchbox, I can't accept it. Only because I know that, if you can make me this happy just by telling me about it, you could probably makes someone close to you ectastic by giving it to them. And that, honestly, would make me even happier. Two happy people for the price of one lunchbox. I think that's one hell of a deal :)

I so agree with you regarding the buffy/spike thing. Although, because I'm an insane B/S shipper, I do not want Spike to leave town ... I was a little miffed about B stringing him along. I mean, how much more can this man take? My heart broke when I saw him in the hallway after he told her he was okay with everything. Okay, so maybe I get far too emotionally involved in a TV show ... but dammit. The man is living in her house, chained to a cot in the basement for god's sake. And she's prancing around in her bra. All I'm saying is a little hot, monkey sex isn't a lot to ask considering the situation. I say she either she gets in touch with the little Spike lover inside of her (no pun intended) or let him go. Whew. I feel better. Had to vent. :)

The thing about compassion ... is that it makes you vulnerable. Which makes someone able to hurt you deeply, if they choose to. However, it also makes you love more deeply, feel more intensely than you ever thought you could. When someone you love is addicted to anything - be it drugs or otherwise - no amount of compassion in the world will save them. They have to decide to save themselves. I've been in your position and was hurt in a similar way ... and, like you, I wanted to close myself up from the world to stop the pain. But, I realized that my compassion is one my best qualities. And reaps some of my biggest rewards. To do away with it, would only, in the end, wind up hurting me. And you didn't do anything wrong. You just loved someone. Don't punish yourself because of someone else's actions. Don't let them have so much power over you that they make you afraid to feel the way that you were born to feel. We're all made for a purpose and reason. Our gifts - and flaws - exist because they are needed. Don't take your compassion away from the world ... there is so little of it here to begin with.

I totally agree with the acting on the part of Sheryl Lee. I was a bit creeped when I found out that her cousin went by 'Maddy' because her name was Madelyn. Every time they said it, especially when Leland said it, gave me chills because my name is Mattie and it pretty much sounds the same. Scary! I like Wild at Heart too, but Lost Highway and Blue Velvet get higher marks. I am glad you joined the ring, cuz I need more Lynch fans! Pmattie
