You stole my line!!! ;) See you next month!
from thbestfriend :
I am so sorry... I thought that I had sent you one!! it is: best friend (in what ever order the username and password come up). Thanks!!!
from thbestfriend :
Oh Canoegirl, can you help??? I met a boy!! And he grew up/went to college in/lived in (something like that- still missing a few details) Regina, Sakatchewan (sp?). Are there any stereotypes, etc... that I should know?? For instance, if you were in Minnesota I would caution you to not date guys from Iowa... they are all dumb. Thankfully Bear isn't from Iowa!!! Can you help???
from horsegeek :
poor Karen, well I hope the drunkin sailor feels better real soon!
from thbestfriend :
Happy Belated birthday to you!! And I agree, birthdays are COMPLETELY important! I'm glad that this one was special.
from serenaville :
Happy belated birthday to you!! It's good that this one was an improvement on last year's. I feel chagrined that I missed your actual day. Many happy returns, all the same! (By the way, your wedding dress is GORGEOUS. The notify list e-mails are still getting to me now, to the best of my knowledge. Thanks!) *HUGS!!*
from sarahjanet :
I maintain that you should be a professional organizer, dude. Seriously. And man alive, do I sympathize with the obscene amounts of money. I keep thinking about what we could do with the amounts we're spending on our wedding, and it's just plain depressing. Maybe we should have a double elopement. Stupid men who want real weddings!
from serenaville :
Uhmmmmm, I joined your notify list back when you posted about your engagement. So far, nada. No dress-sightings for me, it would seem. :(
from canoegirl :
At the bottom of each entry is a black box with NotifyList.Com in it. Enter your email address in the blank box and click join. Thanks!
from drafrica :
Hey, how do I get on your notify list? :P
from serenaville :
"Talk nerdy to me"... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH! Great shirt! Now, I'll have that freakin' Poison song in my head, only with 'Nerdy' in place of 'Dirty'. Hm. Might make for a cool parody! :D
from horsegeek :
I cried!!! it was so well writen!!! I cant wait to have such a neat NEW SISTER INLAW!!! I WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS you are a great person to have in our lives!
from thbestfriend :
I ran across your diary and I don't know if it was the layout, the pictures or your name, but I'm pretty sure I'll be back. Thanks for letting me read around.
from horsegeek :
Canoegirl, That has got to be the best picture (the last one ) of you I have ever seen!! you look great!! lovs Horsegeek
from y2jago :
<b>"My mom doesnt write bodice-rippers and make out with my friends.</b> What?? Then who was that with me behind your house last night???
from drafrica :
Thank you so much. I was feeling kind of blah and you're entry made me smile and reminded me of how lucky I am to have you in my life.
from serenaville :
Your entry; with such vivid, touching, eloquent descriptions/summations of your girlfriends intrigued me, while making me smile ear to ear. You have such a gift with expression... and nicknames!! Regretfully overdue, but thanks are in order for your recent comments in my space: Yes, Cat in the Hat indeed. Beyond fitting, too. As for the birth control... in bald honesty, and as much as I *do* love all my children despite... I would NEVER recommend having children to anyone now. It sounds awful, but hindsight is that way. Oh sure, people can go on and have a passel, if that's what they truly desire. Bless them if they are truly up to, and cut out for it. Other than that, they cannot say they weren't warned, if they find it doesn't suit. There are just times I wouldn't wish my days and nights on my most despised enemy OR their mother. Ask Wallaby and Rider what they think sometime, if you like. Would be interesting, unless they hated me for my new stance. Heh.
from serenaville :
Farg! Everything opened right up for me. How odd! Maybe try accessing my source code to get the links, and paste them directly into the browser that you use? I'm struggling mightily to make my page better viewable in Mozilla, Netscape, Opera, etc. I use IE, of course. If you do as well, then I am truly stymied. Let me know how it goes trying the source code idea, if you give it a go! *HUGS!*
from horsegeek :
well that was a nice trip back in weather time thanks! I was so excited to be outside yesterday that I think I brought on the snow :( sorry...I said out loud "wow maybe I can start training horses soon!!" then I woke up this morning and cried Why snow why!!!! I want all the snow to melt and I want to work horses!!! soon I hope soon...I'm getting desperate for money :(
from drafrica :
Yay my boy does clean up nice and it's true I'll admit it my brain goes out the window when he gels his hair and wears contacs. Speaking of which I don't think any of us have seen him with contacs in a long time - hopefully for our wedding?!?! And you're right my roomie, he's hot with glasses. It might be because he's all football player looking at when he wears his glasses he's got the right combination of brawn and brains? Maybe...
from sarahjanet :
Dude, I am all about the glasses. I always thought Superman was less hot than Clark Kent. Especially on the New Adventures, when his hair would be all slicked back when he was Superman. Ew. Give me Clark any day. Keith is the weird exception to this rule, as I think he looks better without glasses, mostly because he has such fabulous eyelashes. Jamie is awfully cute without glasses, but that's mostly because it means he just took them off so he could kiss me without his glasses getting smudged.
from princessgwyn :
i think that somedays i am subject to the reverse superman effect too .... mmmm cute boys in glasses .... excuse me while i go drool on my drive home
from horsegeek :
HEheheh, your cheese church sounds mmmm should I say delightful!! I would definitly attend your church. thanks for the good laught this morning I needed it! your are a wonderful person! Horsegeek!
from serenaville :
I'd like to join your Cheese Church please...that is, if it won't crumble (*ahem*) around my ears for severely burning two trays of frozen Stouffer's Mac and Cheese recently? And, do I ever hear you about the 'avalanche' and never getting ahead, having had a few rugs pulled out from under us lately. I will definitely be pulling for you and Bear, hon. What say we gouda through this together? ;) *HUGS!!!* Hang tight.
from serenaville :
I absolutely adored your list!! Such imaginative and unique answers. The Lactaid pills made me chuckle knowingly... and just how could *I* forget the hockey stick in my box?? Too much to pick from, and only twelve items just isn't fair. I'll be smiling over your list for a bit here, thank you for making one, and for the mention in your entry! *HUGS* :)
from xeryfyn :
Thanks for your support sweets, it is much appreciated. I looked a the U opf A online tutors and there are SO many English tutors, I would undoubtably get swallowed up by the masses, however the Extension registry sounds more promising! I'll be sure to keep you posted. Thanks again, it's friends like you that help to keep my head above waters.
from serenaville :
I just have to say a heartfelt thank you, for all your wonderful support, and the glorious comments during this nervewracking house hunting/purchasing time. Most especially warming and touching was this: "I think that this place would have all of the charm it needed if you moved in." Gosh, that just clenches me every time I read it. *HUGS* Thank you again, hon. I will hold that close to heart for some time! That you are one of my regular readers, is so appreciated. :)
from princessgwyn :
I love you. Your last entry hit home as you were able to put into words some of what i have been feeling but somehow unable to express. i think that things are bound to change and some of us will go and some of us will stay. but the bonds will always be there no matter what. maybe not all as vibrantly colored as they once were but underlying the fabric of our lives just the same. i know i wouldn't be the person i am today without you and the rest of the wammick crew that has touched my heart. life altering feelings of love like that don't just disappear even if the friendships do change.
from xeryfyn :
Yay for organizational geekiness! I'm gld that a label maker has found a spot in your home. I can't live without mine! Just today I used it to label some light switches ;) Hee.
from serenaville :
Your birthday comment brought such a huge smile to my face, thank you so much! Said pizzas are now mere memories, sadly. Now, I am craving a slice just remembering them, as my mouth waters instantaneously. (Ever notice that the same thing happens, when one imagines pickles or grapefruit? It's like some Pavlovian conspiracy.) Also? I'd LOVE to have some Cheesecake Factory cheesecake (Ooooh, redundancy...)for dessert. Any flavor will do, really. Cheese truly is a required food group all its own, isn't it? GAH, now I am thinking about that calzone I ate over the weekend, with all that gooey mozzarella and ricotta, under a blanket of piquant tomato sauce. FARG, now I have to call out for a pizza/calzone delivery this afternoon!! See what you do to me? ;)
from serenaville :
So much to say. Thank you, so very much, for the honor of adding serenaville to your faves/buddy list; and also for your kind comment therein. If you note a spike in the number of pageloads, it was me reading your diary start to finish. There are thoughts on thoughts I had about similarities between us that struck me, while I read with a non-stop smile on my face. Suffice to say, the admiration is truly mutual. I found myself hoping beyond hope that you would be interested in joining my IRC chat room, in the spirit of knowing you better. I sense you would also get on famously with another girl from Canada who visits there. If not, at least know that you are a firm and joyous addition to my faves list in kind. Consider me a fan. Take care!
from xeryfyn :
Hurray for organizational geeks!!! Anytime you would like to use my label maker, its yours :) BTW the day in question is Jan 25th. Hugs X
from weathergeek :
Wow, Canoe. What an amazing entry (Jan 3, 2004). Do you even know how poetic your writing is? Happy New Year!
from joshuatree- :
Wow! I'm finding all sortsa people on here now with diaries! Just wanted to say I love the new layout, and I can COMPLETELY related with the "Birthday-too-near-Christmas" issues - Dec 21st! Yeah, that's about it :)
from weathergeek :
I also check the diaries about 18 times a day, and I'm thoroughly impressed by how well, how eloquently you write. Never too long. Keep it up. :)
from sarahjanet :
Damn. That was really good, K. And it summed up a lot of how I feel. And your last line! So clever! Such a perfect summation of your point! I'm impressed. You write extremely well and very consistently. Bravo.
