from bedazzledman :
well i hope we see you again. Mx
from domdisko :
Hi. You need to go to school in the different city. I know it seems like a harsh decision but you said it yourself, "I know financially it would save me from being constantly broke." That's a pretty big pro.
from queen-hearts :
i hadn't listened to it in so long and then i did the other day. what perfect timing. slipped in with my life at the moment like a glove (ew, cliche). and everytime i hear it, it's like listening to it for the first time.
from domdisko :
Hi, can I have your password? Thanks!
from queen-hearts :
happy birthday, yo. hey, what's the password?
from bedazzledman :
hip hip hooray & hap happy birthday!
from life-like :
happy birthday!!!!!
from watty :
Happy birthday! If I had to name one person who deserves to party hearty, you pop into my head first. Have a great one and have a drink or two for me. =)
from queen-hearts :
snaps for kisses. what are you thoughts on the new season of QAF?
from queen-hearts :
we'll make the house shake with loudness. the weird part about all of this is that one of the doctors that i work with will literally be our next door neighboor...a little close for comfort but fuck it. i love love love your sandals AND the rain boots, too! i'm actually on e-bay right now but am currently looking at vintage posters...
from life-like :
portnoy's complaint is great. i'm getting my woody allen fix today. pinback is great too. hair scrunchies aren't. i could gander a guess that peaches will have insane fans. i'm buying the damn flip flops. the pedicure convinced me.
from watty :
Loved the flip flop photos, and they look cool on your feet, especially with your new pedicure. Pink nailpolish rules! It's nice to be all girlie. Can't wait till summer now. =)
from queen-hearts :
i'm way down for a freaks & geeks marathon. i just finished watching the halloween episode. i love that there are those painfully embarrasing "wonder years" esque moments. qaf is tomorrow and i seriously can't wait. i hope ted and emmet get their shit together. i would hang out with emmet the most, get tax advice from ted, and basically just do everything i could to get into brian's pants. hotttttt. no, i never watched the "l word". is it good?
from life-like :
firstly, sugar makes the hottest fucking shoes ever and i desperately want the flip flops. secondly, WE ARE TOTALLY GOING TO BE AT THE SAME PIXIES SHOW. i'll totally fingerbang in your bathroom. <3
from queen-hearts :
i get the asshole of the week award because i totally forgot to give you the threesome info as it was relayed to me. anyway, i DID try e-mailing it to you but your "[email protected]" isn't working. if lifey hasn't already given you the story, send me your e-mail and i'll pass along the knowledge to ya.
from life-like :
ok ok grumble, i KNOW the 3some story sucked, but did you at least like the psycho waitress story? also, hi <3
from queen-hearts :
Yay Long Winters. Now I'm even more excited about seeing them. Was the keyboardist (with the big fro...although maybe he doesn't have it anymore) playing with them? His name is Sean. He's the singer of Harvey Danger. Also my good friends cousin. Also Super Dave's son. End facts.
from queen-hearts :
yeah i remembered. not first thing in the morning though. it was at work and i got some funny looks. does it count if it's not first thing in the morning???
from queen-hearts :
did you say "rabbit rabbit" today???
from queen-hearts :
i don't know. she won't tell me. or rather she just hasn't responded to the inquiry e-mail. the coolest thing i have/know is a few letters from chris and the drummer and some memorabilia shit that they sent me...stickers, pins, etc. but the knowledge of a 3some wins, hands down.
from queen-hearts :
Yay cancer free. Celebrate gay bar style. Oh and Long Winters rule! I was just listening to them and in fact, they are playing here in May (I think) so I'm excited as well!
from queen-hearts :
p.s - i'll raise my glass in hopes that you get some this weekend.
from queen-hearts :
i almost feel better...NOT because you don't have one but because for a minute i thought i had been scammed about the "limited edition" status of the 12". you don't even want to know how much i paid for it. i think i got it from the actual record label or whatever. i had to enter a raffle JUST to BUY it. crazy. i think you're filled with such awesomeness that i wish there was a way to copy a record on to vinyl for you like you can with a tape or CD (and still have the record be "authentic"). i saw the majority of the southern california jawbreaker shows. even the one at the jabberjaw on thanksgiving when i was only 1 of 15 people in the audience. i think that was the best one by far! i also saw them play in santa barbara once and when blake asked the audience what they wanted to hear, i said "sea foam green" and he told me to shut up because they don't play that song live. i was 16 and totally crushed.
from queen-hearts :
oh snap! you know what? i have the live 4/30/96 album but i have it on VINYL and for whatever reason "shirt" isn't on there. i was told that there were only 100 pressings of the 12" (as some sort of comforting proof, mine is labeled #73/100) and i was able to get my hands on one so i got it instead of the CD (which actually came out a few months after the 12"). i also don't have the "dear you" re-issue. i need to get crackin' because i really want to hear that song. and i'm really bothered that the song isn't on my 12". curses for being a vinyl record freak. i'm glad you liked the gossip interview. skyscraper zine is my husbands pet. -Nissa
from back-drifts :
hey, guess what? someone I did a trade with off of artofthemix actually sent me a copy of "Dear You" by Jawbreaker! isn't that funny? now I wouldn't exactly be against obtaining some of the other tracks not listed on there....hehehe. but I will get cracking on those cd's of yours. in the meantime, here's my cd collection list in case you see anything that strikes your fancy: http://www.recordnerd.com/lists/faithlesstreet :)
from queen-hearts :
Here, check out this link. I think you'll like it: http://www.skyscrapermagazine.com/features/gossip.html It's an interview with The Gossip from our zine. I don't even know what your shirt looks like but it sounds like it kicks fucking ass! The only pirate shirt I have is an old school Disneyland Pirates of the Carribean shirt...does Mickey with an eye patch even count???
from queen-hearts :
Sweet Ave. is probably my favorite JTB song...at least on Orange Rhyming Dictionary. Alright so now all you need is to steal your own ship, get a parrot, and maybe a peg leg....ok, maybe not a peg leg. Forget the US mailing system...they held me prisoner for over a week while I waited for my CD's to arrive. Bastards.
from life-like :
dudettes how right on is queen of hearts? i listend to starry configurations like 9 times more than i should have today. and the veil? well she is hot peenk.
from queen-hearts :
One of the first times I actually read your diary I was listening to "Sweet Avenue". It was a sign. I kept reading. And fucking a, pirate shirts rule!
from life-like :
oh snap, a veil! you are a genius. jeans and a veil, i'm on that. i guess i will have to take pictures after all! we'll toast the night away, i promise.
from back-drifts :
I feel horribly bad for saying this, but since I haven't made your two mixes yet I don't actually have any Jawbreaker cd's within my collection. :( grrrrr. and I *WILL* get them done! I promise. promise. again, forgive me for the ridiculous delay. I get my laptop back this afternoon, thus giving me access to my lovely (but slow) cd burner. alas. <3.
from ktdream :
I love your username! =) Cats rock. Anyway your diary rocks! I like the layout very much and the Question-Air was interesting, as well as the whole thing about owls. That's a good picture! Hehe.. I'm going to read more now.
from xjackoffjill :
i love the caption on your layout! ani difranco is amazing!
from sunnflower :
As a cancer survivor, I understand how life changing the experience can be and that a lot of it is positive because you begin to focus on life in a different manner. I think it can make you do a lot of things - treat other people differently, treat yourself differently, and even perhaps find God or a heightened level of spirituality in your life. For me it was as the old saying goes - a blessing in disguise. I really think your diary is amazing and I love the template.
from boohbah-gal :
you definently need to write stories girl!
from bethany9 :
i dig the pin up girl. ooooh la la~!
from glass-arcade :
I know I have been MIA lately but wanted you to know I was thinking about you. Girl, you seriously rock!
from bedazzledman :
P.S. Your mom sounds exactly like my gran...
from bedazzledman :
having established that you need to help yourself is actually the start of actually helping yourself... actually... (did i mention actually enough there, actually?) One line i remember from somewhere/someone is that "bad stuff happens to good people, and bad people get away with it". this helped me for some reason... actually...
from back-drifts :
I'm so glad to hear that you're doing well! I was thinking about sending you some music this christmas, and making 1-2 mixes for you. does that sound good? let me know if it does, and then you can e-mail me your address so I can send 'em off. :) *hugs and love*
from aliblogs :
I just randomly found your diary and I hope your cancer will be cured :)
from watty :
The sad moments will pass. Glad you had a happy weekend, and there are plenty more of them waiting for you. =) Take care and have a great week *hugs*
from back-drifts :
I'm really glad to hear that you're recovering well....I'm so sorry to hear about everything that's been going on, but I do find comfort in the fact that since my mom is going through kemotherapy right now for ovarian cancer, that there's someone else out there who understands how it feels to be so scared...but you're brave as all hell, as I'm sure you already know. I hope everything works out for you, and you've been in my thoughts recently, of course. take care of yourself hon. *hugs and love*
from life-like :
i was glad to see you back today, and just wanted to send some cyberish love your way. i've seen tremendous results with chemo, so i'll knock wood for you... be well girl
from glass-arcade :
just dropping by to let you know I was wondering how you are doing.
from glass-arcade :
It won't have spread. It wont it wont it wont!!!!! And it's justifiable that you are upset about kids, even if you never wanted to have any, it should be a choice not something thats mandated by a fucked up tumor. If it were my wedding shower I would understand where you are coming from and I'm sure she did too. Just concentrate on getting through the surgery and resting, we'll all worry and support you through the rest when its time.
from glass-arcade :
you're going to be okay but it's a shitty blow..damnit and an unfair one, you rant away you're entitled but you will be fine if for no other reason than the world would be a lesser place without someone as cool as you. And it doesnt make you a half of a woman either, I'd gladly give you my reproductive parts since I dont care to use them again but there's something hinky with my ovaries heh, I'm already cutting my hair just in case their suspicions are correct.
from ihatepizza :
Fuck! I just got caught up on Diaryland stuff and I just wanted to say that i'm soooo sorry about everything that is going on right now. Holy shit that sucks so much major ass. I hope you're doing okay girl.
from back-drifts :
oh jeez! I'm SO sorry about everything you've been going through. oh goodness. but, I know you're strong and you'll get through it--my mom is going chemo right now for ovarian cancer, and if she can get through it, so can you. :) I'll keep you in my thoughts, of course. hang in there. *hugs and love*
from bexx :
M- Hey, I am so sorry about what you are going through. Hopefully everything will be okay though. You are very welcome about me joining the Iron & Wine ring. I saw them once before and they are coming with Broadcast in October here. Take care- BeXx
from back-drifts :
oh sweetheart, I'm so so sorry about your surgery! I can only imagine how scared you must be. but know that all of us (at least me!) at diaryland care VERY much about you. :) really, we do! and I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and sending positive vibes to you tomorrow. *hugs and kisses and lots o' love* hang in there!
from to-the-dogs :
hey there, I can't pull it together enough to find yr email addy, isn't that sad? Anyway, I'm not sure if you do or not, but if you do read my LJ and happen to know who/what I'm talking about, and still talk to/ see that person- don't mention it, okay? *L* is that confusing and obscure enough for you? The monkey howls at midnite. Cowboys can but never can can.
from glass-arcade :
ok maybe the harold is colouring my judgement but when I get married I think I want to use "The Aspidistra Flies" by Stars as my dance song. It's just soooo lovely.
from gallinula :
I hope she will be well. Take care. Thoughts and wishes.
from life-like :
ok shh shh - it will be ok. i have a few people in my life that have gone through exactly what you're going through with the fibroids. the nice thing about deprovara is that you don't have to have it like, once a week etc. yes, insurance in this country eats a bag of soggy cocks. and i know what chronic pain is like, too - it just makes you into a totally different person. so deep breaths, and know that you STILL have some options before the big S[urgery] and you have me rooting for you. shit, that should be enough no?
from peth :
if you two don't stop these paddle shenanigans you'll be barred from the rumpus room.
from life-like :
i love you! :D so much that i've been forced to use emoticons to express the grin that lit up my face when i read about the paddle ball.
from ihatepizza :
Well nevermind. That's the first guestbook i've been able to sign in weeks.
from life-like :
do you remember those chinese yo-yo's? where it was like 100 ft of wrapped wrapping paper around a plastic stick thing and with the flick of a wrist you could extend this thing for kicks and it would speel right back into its original form? if i had one of those, i'd make it touch your boobies like 4x and i would totally blame it on whoever has a note below me.
from glass-arcade :
I can't find Harold!!! Anywhere!!! What's wrong with this place, I'm dying here!
from back-drifts :
god knows that I wouldn't be able to say anything in front of my heroes. (and Blake is quickly becoming one!) yikes. if I'd been able to meet Mark Everett or Jeff Tweedy, I would've just sat there with my jaw dropped. :P heh. you're so lucky to have talked to Blake a few times though! I'm super jealous. errrr. *hugs*
from watty :
Sorry to read about your aunt's passing. I hope you are holding up. Glad you're having fun seeing Jets to Brazil this summer. Have a great one and welcome back. =)
from back-drifts :
yay for both of us opening new diaries!! and damn, double yay for seeing The Eels! (I did about 2 weeks ago, it was so fabulous) and E is certainly on my husbands list too :P I looked at the Jets To Brazil site, and realized I had TWO chances to see them in June. *stomps foot* ah well. now I have all the albums, so I'm completely caught up. I'll change your username on my buddy list now. *hugs* much <3.
from peth :
welcome back!
