I was totally supposed to be at that show!! Boy and I were about 5 blocks away, and the Anza is one of his favorite places... but then he came down with the flu, and both the 30th and actual New Years Eve were spent on his couch with him feeling miserable and me watching videos... I don't know where I first heard of Danny Michel, but I stumbled across Fibsville in a used CD bin and picked it up because I had store credit, so it was as good as free. And I love love loved it.

Actually I was thinking of you when I thought of going to the Railway... at least in part. But yeah, Friday night turned out to be way more interesting than I had planned. Its the day of the final exam for the class I teach and there will be 1400 tests to mark in 72 hours (there are about 25 of us working on it). But I will see what I can do. Don't worry about laughing about it... it is ironic, and I have gotten used to these types of things over the last year or so (They tell me that this is what's called "the rock and roll lifestyle" *giggle*). It wouldn't be the first time that we (he and I( both knew the same person independantly. And you're right. He is a really great guy (he's just a bit clueless in the dating dept... but everybody's gotta have something wrong with them). Yeah you got it... I'm at UBC. I'm a PhD student in botany (as of one week ago). Its awesome. I looked into Simon Fraser as well, but the profs that did stuff I was interested in didn't have enough money to support another student. But so far I'm happy with the way things have worked out (and this whole U-Pass thing rocks my world!). Sparrow (aka Robin)
