Adult loneliness is weird. It's so hard to make new ones, when you are a sandwich generation...so neat that you are home again tho.
from dearedwin :
Can you e-mail me at lovedayes[AT]gmail[DOT]com (note the second e in lovedayes) with your preferred password? Your username is your diary name.
from dearedwin :
And we’re here. So write on! Missed you!
from dearedwin :
I feel you. I FEEL you! And I only have one!
from kayemess :
You are home! Do you know oh-sweet-peas secret real life internet identity? She is a blogging/design queen and great to keep up that way if you're not lucky enough to have her as an excellent nearby Real Life friend - message (ha, Note!) me if you want a link or an email, she is amazing. You can totally drive, you can, it's this weird necessary evil - think of road trips and not traffic jams.
from dearedwin :
Oh my heavensfive years old. Hahaha. HA! Two stepdaughters as well, but Im afraid Im not birthing another one (knock on wood). :D
from dearedwin :
Re: Myrashes super busy with the lawyering, so she isnt blogging that I know of. But Im going to rattle her chain to see if shes game to do so during a spare moment.
from dearedwin :
Ive been fielding guilt all morning due to the screaming bouts with mine (five now!) since yesterday afternoon. Our neighbors have family visiting, too. Five is the new 2.5, apparently! Im so glad youre back home. It sounds heavenly.
from dearedwin :
I hope you keep posting! The white box is just as welcoming as it always was. xx
from kayemess :
I repeat my previous comment with extra exclamation marks!! Good luck in NZ, love that place!
from katherinhand :
You're a mum! COngratulations! I wished we didn't live so far. We could have our wee ones trip all over each other. xo
from dearedwin :
Just noting that you haven't updated in, erm, 86 days!
from kayemess :
I love D-land blasts from the past turning up in my friends list. Go 2011!
from oh-sweet-pea :
I've missed so much! Congratulations on the birth of your baby. Whoo-wee!!
from dearedwin :
I am only now just reading about the birth, which is ages ago at this point! Congratulations to you. Im so glad it went well and that youre finding the energy to do *stuff*. (I still dont have the energy to do much.) Cant wait to hear more, although I know computer time grows scarce as the months wear on.
from dearedwin :
Im so glad to hear youre having a great summer. Cant wait for your big daynot to will it into happening early, mind!
from dearedwin :
Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. BUT . . . you are awesome! And your nipples will go back to normalmostly normal. ;)
from oh-sweet-pea :
Man I'm so out of it over here! Congratulations!!
from kayemess :

from dearedwin :
Oh, congrats, you!!! Keep us posted, please.
from dearedwin :
How was the fox? I'm compelled to see it.
from dearedwin :
I still dont know what I want to be or what the future holds. It wasnt a career in history, sadly; although when I finally do get the letters, Ill hold them close to my heart and remember how I pushed myself out of my comfort zone for once. Look forward to hearing more!
from kayemess :
I feel like a stalker. But I love A deBotton. And I'm kinda crossing my fingers that the shittiness of life has nothing to do with needing to peruse personal ads....
from kayemess :
Shoot! I don't like to hear that!
from kayemess :
I was JUST thinking "how is that Celidah doing, anyway?" today. Sppoooooky. Luckily next March is a ways away and many plans could be hatched, I bet.
from breadisdead :

from dharmabum :
aw, it's all so sweet. i'm happy for you!
from kayemess :
any boy who plans a surprise and requires you pack a few things...totally worth swooning over...lord I love a "pukey" love story.
from myra-lee :
I like this shoe sniffer's style. Very excited to hear how it goes!
from oh-sweet-pea :
i wish you lots of good sniffing! haha, can't wait to hear how it turns out.
from oh-sweet-pea :
happy birthday to come!!! excitement and glamour! yes.
from myra-lee :
Oh no! The stomach rumblings of India! I had that too when I visited India, and I was only there for five days. You're a trooper to have made it this far without the rumble. I can't believe how long your trip is. I'm horribly jealous. When I was there, I also wanted to load up my backpack with rugs, and tapestries, and miscellaneous furnishings, but you're right: it would be pretty cumbersome to lug that nonsense around. Good luck beating the rumble!
from oh-sweet-pea :
thanks for the london invite! i'll keep you posted on our plans and we'll definitely have to meet up for drinks at least!
from oh-sweet-pea :
whooo! a texted drunken proposal. lovely!
from dharmabum :
hey! i will get you that recipe asap ... hopefully over the weekend :)
from breadisdead :

from myra-lee :
Me too! India. Hippie. Now.
from oh-sweet-pea :
no i didn't get your email! can you try again, as i might have been too swift in deleting things from my account.
from myra-lee :
Have you heard of lomography (www.lomography.com)? I suggest you get Mr. Fancy Boss Man a Super Sampler camera...they're more like 15 pounds, instead of 3 (according to my haphazard currency conversion), but they are neat. Merry Christmas!
from myra-lee :
Yay! I love fancy homeless people. We have a lot of them in Southern California. My favorite local is a man we call Mr. Loafers (inspired by his ever-so-fancy leather shoes). I'm puzzled by the fruit offerings...maybe he's the Buddha? Isn't there something in Buddhism where people place fruit on alters...no wait, I think that fruit is for their ancestors. I don't know what I'm talking about.
from breadisdead :

Salutations, ceildah! I have just noticed that you added me to your buddy list, and I wanted to tell you that I'm flattered. It is unfortunate that I have lost interest in updating of late... Anyway, nice to "meet" you, and I like your template. -The Emale
from breadisdead :

aw, julian! ....no, the band never wrote back :*( i am totally disillusioned with the student's union and too busy to care anymore. boo. you know, there are still people who ask if carrot is actually an ingredient of carrot cake. IS YOUR TRIP HOME COMING UP SOON LIKE TOMORROW OR SOMETHING?!?!?! HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!!!! XOXO!!!
from breadisdead :
how did the carrot cake turn out? you know, in the past few days i have had carrot cake, date + walnut cake and banana cake. cakecakecake. And last night i had panCAKES! ahahaha. i told Donna that when i have a band she will be the singer. (secretly, i want the job, so we can give her guest spots.) Have you heard the Prodigy song that Juliette Lewis does the vocal for? it is HOT. "hot ride".
from breadisdead :

from breadisdead :

(you've inspired me to pluck my eyebrows.)
from demoderby :
that effect is called "shakey hands with a crappy camera"! hahha haha. seriously, i just have shakey hands so a lot of my pictures come out blurry.
from breadisdead :
WOW! BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENTS EVERRRR!!!! THAT IS THE COOLEST BIKE I EVER SEEN!
from breadisdead :
i saw them at the Oxegen festival this summer. wowee..Julian is a gent. And they were CLASS. i developed a newfound respect for Albert. He fell over and just kept on playing. they played a surprise gig last year in a tiny venue here that i didn't get to so i am wishin + hopin that they take a notion to do that again. else i'll go to NY prolly or somethin. have you ? oooh, i have blurry pictures..XO

from breadisdead :
YOU DO NEED IT! whip up some cream, then add your favourite cookies, broken up (i used chocolate hob nobs) + fruit cocktail (drained) plus extra mandari segments, cos they are just so nice (also drained) plus if you have a real sweet toof then also you could add some custard and/or condensed milk. voila! BESTEST. DESERT. EVERRRRRR.

I will now live in fear of encountering yam-shaped (yam-sized?) genitalia.
from myra-lee :
Meow, can I come in? I'm here: [email protected].
from dearedwin :
yes, please.
from dearedwin :
password protection? i think i missed a day. i'm not going anywhere, you know...i was just sayin'.
from kayemess :
I hope THE day means a good day - oh wait, is it your interview? Good luck if it is!
from oh-sweet-pea :
ooh, damn guestbook problems!! and what i meant to say was thanks for your birthday wishes!
from neckbreaker :
Fantastic! We must read eachothers charts sometime. I used to do a lot for people at work but it weirded me out when they took it too seriously.
from neckbreaker :
Hey there. I did a little research and apparently the seals have been visiting NYC more frequently in the past few years and some even hang out on Statan Island and swim up into the NYC Harbor. They alarm people so much some have called the police thinking the seal must be sick. Nice to know I wasn't going nuts and I wish I took a picture! Thanks for dropping by!
from myra-lee :
I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. I've had a couple of (young) friends get cancer, and it's so surreal and unfair. Not like cancer is ever easy to face, but when people in their 20s are diagnosed with it, it seems even harder to take. xo.
from kittytastic :
Hello, hope everything is okay - any chance of a password? :o) xx
from tit-fork :
thank you. I thought it was perhaps a trifle unnecessary for so many people to know all that detail, but then I just thought 'fuck it' and wrote it anyway.
from myra-lee :
Yes...it's all about knowing what you want, isn't it. p.s. My mother also drops not-so-subtle hints that I better get the birthing underway. I think she's going to kill me if I don't produce a baby soon.
from virlomi :
i think i did read a few paula danziger books way back when . . . i honestly read everything i could get my hands on. can't remember specific titles of hers, though.
from kittytastic :
Hello! Thank you for my birthday wishes - very kind of you. What does HJK stand for?
from virlomi :
i know, i hadn't realized the bsc series had ended . . . in 2000! where have i been? the book is called 'graduation day,' and it's a bsc friends forever special.
from livian :
hey.. I miss your writing already, why did you lock it?
from dearedwin :
locked? are you letting anyone in?
from livian :
I've just started getting into Ben Harper over the past month and still haven't heard 'Gold to me', I'll have to download it, thanks for the tip!
from oh-sweet-pea :
thanks for the good wishes!
