If you're still doing the rape project, there is a french film called Irreversible with a 20 minute rape scene (man-woman). This is one of the worst I've seen, more shocking than any man-man rape.

McDevil's! Oh my. I totally adore that and I adore you for telling me that I can JUST buy the toys and nothing else. I was wondering about that, anyway, cuz the movie is PG-13 and why would Happy Meals have the toys? Maybe they would do the Burger King thing (with the Simpson watches) and sell the item with value meals? Not that it matters anymore, so yay! OK, I need to go find someone willing to set foot in McDevil's (hee) so I can buy pirate toys. You are seriously awesome.

Hi there. Sorry I didn't get back to you right away. My BUST screen name is heidiann (very creative of me, I know). I've only been signed up in the lounge for a week or so and haven't posted much. It's so strange, it's as if I'm feeling shy because I'm in a room with much cooler women who all seem to know each other! But I'm sure I'll be a posting fool once I get my sea legs. =)

I just applied for your Sassy ring; I won second place in their fiction contest like 10 years ago, so if for some reason I'm not accepted, I'll throw a very sassy fit! ;) I remember Christina Kelly calling me and saying "we haven't decided who the winner is yet but you're one of them; what's your social security number?" So I was all psyched to be first place, but instead I just won 500 bucks worth of L.A. Gear crap. Oy vey! At any rate, it's nice to see someone who appreciates that dead mag...I was a subscriber since '88. Take care, S.

I can't figure how I ended up on the brains-afire list since I picked the BC ring out of the rings directory, not through your profile. Bizarro, but oh well. Could I join the Bloom County ring? Or should I try and join through the members area again? Thanks, sorry for the mix-up.

Lissen, baby: the reason you perceive that nobody talks about their heart-rending relationship questions is because a) people want to present a false front about their relationships or b) people are so exhausted by these thoughts and their accompanying arguments that to merely mention them makes you weary. I believe a combination of both makes you perceive that everyone else is hunky-dory. Lady, you are being honest about it. That has always been your hallmark, your strength. Everyone else sweeps it under the rug, but trust me, under the rug, it ain't pretty. The existence of the crud under the rug doesn't mean you are doomed, by the way. Your honesty about how you feel will be your saving grace. Take care, sweetie. xoxoxoxo lynn

I just wanted to invite you to check out a new idea that I'm working on: http://livejuicy.diaryland.com -- it's going to be a compendium of positive thoughts, inspiring stories and other creative stuff. I will be taking creative writing contributions from readers that I will put on livejuicy so if you have anything to submit you can find out how I'm doing it on the site. Hope you like the idea. Just read your entry.
Your little visit from the maintenance man is shocking. I'd suggest you take them to court...
Then again, seeing as you are moving...
Still that is a breach of your tenant/landlord agreement.
Also your kid's school stuff...that is crummy. The thought of kids slacking off in class because they are smart cookies and school is retardedly slow is painful to hear...
I hope you can keep him challenged and stimulated....extra-ciricular schooling?
Sorry my first read of your diary was crap news. I look forward to the next read...and hopefully...more gleeful news.

Thankyou for your note. I anticipated that when I stripped my profile of favorites that my name would be deleted from profiles but that happened a few days after I closed down my diary and was eventually a reaction to all of those events. Half way through my diary I think I gave up hoping that I would find a living, breathing place to transcribe the things I thought through diaryland. I thought I would like to say though that I love you diary and I wish you and your family all my best wishes for your future.
