come exchange thoughts...
from raven72d :
Tired and overworked... But I do hope you'll stay n touch. Are you posting anywhere else these days?
from raven72d :
How is springtime?
from raven72d :
Write soon...
from raven72d :
I'm keeping busy...Working and looking round for a better job. And I love "Potterdammerung" as a term...
from raven72d :
What's your autumn like?
from raven72d :
raven72d/capybara
from raven72d :
Do update... I have missed you!
from startender :
lol ... if i could actually stand to be around my parents for more than 48 hours, i would totally be living with them right now ... not paying rent is like ... my dream. ha!
from startender :
they just changed it ... lol. I'd like to think my opinion was important enough to have gotten it back ... lol. I'll try to give a better update soon ... congrats on school! I know it's scary - but its worth it in the end.
from startender :
ha. hilarity. that made my day.
from raven72d :
I'm doing reasonably well-- and I'm looking forward to a major entry from you.
from raven72d :
How are you these days?
from startender :
Holy crap. You're alive! Hope all is well. :)
from raven72d :
How's autumn?
from raven72d :
How's the job hunt going?
from startender :
Well, she's definitely in the "Psycho Girl" category of women ... nonetheless, I'm going to cut my losses and tell him to call me when he is single. lol ...
from raven72d :
Glad you liked it. I hope you'll use it frequently.
from raven72d :
Write soon, girl... I do miss you.
from startender :
Heya, Well the mopney is good if you get in the right place. I make anywhere between $100 - $400 a night in cash. But that is because I have six years of experience. I'm not a fan of bartending schools - I think that they prey on the idea that most people think that when they get out they will be making tonnes of cash - and they end up remaining unemployed. Your best bet? I would say get an entry level position. Coat check, hostess, etc. If you prove yourself they will train you either as a server or a bartender. Hit College Street - its patio season, and I know that they are hiring tonnes of servers. Its a lot of bullshit though - as you may gave guessed from my last post - you need a thick skin - it's number one prerequisite to survive.
from startender :
David Usher came to my bar one night where I proceeded to get him completely smashed on shots of Southern Comfort. He was very nice, had significantly small teeth and left a sizable tip. Lol ... and I know who Catherine Wheel is ;)
from raven72d :
Cianne-- thanks for the kind thoughts.
from startender :
That is fucked. My mum is from Cheshire.
from startender :
Lol ... I can see it now - exempted from Finance for a "Barely Getting By" grade in "Affording Groceries Every Month" Thanks for the encouragement :)
from startender :
Ha. Like I said, apparently I'm a masochist!
from raven72d :
At least the turkey wasn't the Dread Tur-Duck-Hen.
from raven72d :
Wuff! I'm pettable and kind, but I'm not good at all at talking to people in ordinary social situations.
from startender :
that is fucking insane. What are they going to do? Circumsize every unmarried woman in Indiana?
from raven72d :
At least it's over...
from raven72d :
I'm scared of my dentist...but more of her billing agent.
from raven72d :
Glad to hear you no longer have to do the Nordic slog...
from raven72d :
Enjoy the holidays, lovely one... And thanks for the kind wishes.
from startender :
Ah, yes. Those garcons, eh? Always causing problems ... I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment.
from startender :
Hey! I know that they are hiring seasonal retail at Future Shop downtown ... manager is a friend of mine and is desperately seeking help. Xmas commission can make you up to $200/day ...
from raven72d :
I like moose because they can use their antlers to improve radio reception.
from raven72d :
Moose are cool. Mounties are strange, but moose are cool.
from raven72d :
Write soon! I do miss you!!
from raven72d :
I'm looking for the vaporization gun, myself...
from raven72d :
I'll be vur' happy... I do like hearing from you... Do write!
from raven72d :
Write and say hello...
from ballet-bum :
hi cianne, thanks for the note, I certainly had planned to celebrate, but as usual my plans went to the shit. Anyways, how are things with you? Hope you can cheer up soon, I know how crap it feels when your closest friends don't understand, and don't want to understand you. Hope you have a cool summer, take care
from raven72d :
Tell me about your summer plans...
from raven72d :
I'm very bad at ending friendships. Probably for the same reason that I never finish the last book in a series or watch the last episode of a TV series... I hate it when things end. Familiarity and inertia are so comforting.
from raven72d :
The glabrous Mister Taylor and I have known one another since second grade... We met on the playground at school when we were seven... We've known each other all through childhood... We were pretty much the only people who'd talk to one another in school-- both over-literate, anti-social, desperately trying to escape the culture and locale we were in.
from raven72d :
Sloth, Lust, Envy... Those three I'm far too familiar with. And my condolences on the loss. And I do want to encourage you to write often...
from raven72d :
And what is your favorite coffee?
from raven72d :
It seems to have sorted itself out...2003 entries in my archives...though damned if I know how... But-- many thanks for the offer!
from raven72d :
Get better, take much Vitamin C, and write soon!
from gbg :
Hee! You have to watch quite a bit more of Season 5 to understand the Buffy's little sister part. :-D And yeah, Riley is annoying, but this too shall pass. ;) And I hate to do this to you, I *really* do, but I've had people reading my livejournal that really shouldn't, and I hate to do it, but it's now under lock and key. What you *could* do, since livejournal has done away with invite codes, is make a livejournal, and I'll friend it, and as long as you stay logged in, you can still see all the entries? And yes, I do have to make everything more complicated for everyone. I sowwy. :(
from raven72d :
I'll look forward to it!
from raven72d :
K'wuff! Have an excellent Christmas...and a great Year Four! E-mail me sometime... Just use the name I use here, only at yahoo-dot-com.
from raven72d :
Tall is better than short...
from tool-nin-fan :
wow that's so amazing you got to meet him! I'm so jealous of you :p
from raven72d :
G'nomes are scary. They seem to be taking our socks and bottles and leaving coathangers.
from tool-nin-fan :
you met Trent Renor?! holy shit! would you mind telling me about what happened?
from ballet-bum :
Hey there! I just wanted to tell you that you are not alone in the cherry-flavouring-hatred thing. I swear, with all the advances in medicine and technology and all that jazz, surely someone could have come up with another flavour than cherry or original? And why cherry? What is wrong with lime, or strawberry, or any other goddamn fruit other than cherry? Hmmmmmm, maybe that will be my next mission...a delicious flavoured cough medicine...I'll keep you posted ;)
from kingbastard :
I just read your some of your stuff, and I liked it! I used to have a page on this site too, but I moved to www.marksbeefs.com Check it out sometime, it's good for a few laughs. Keep up the good writing! -Mark
from imetpatricia :
OK, see, Ci, this is just not cool. I'm trying to read all of the most recently updated diaries on my Buddy List (obviously, one of them being yours), and so I click on your diary in order to accomplish this seemingly simple task, and guess what I find? Guess what I find, Cianne? I've been LOCKED OUT!! After an entire year, I'm "not authorized to access the document requested." IMetPatricia has been tossed aside--no password, no username, no nothin'. 'Tis a sad, sad day for ol' Taylor. :-) I'm just kidding. I'm quite delirious at the present moment. Seriously, though, I would love to continue reading your entries, if you don't mind sending me your username/password. Sign my book and lemme know, wouldja? Gracias, mi amiga. Oh, and by the way, I'm glad you enjoyed my little inner-monologue in today's entry. Hahaha. I can be rather extreme from time to time, don't ya think? :-) Take care, dude.
from burnthenight :
Hey there! Responding to your note...cool to hear from another MOIST/David fan here on Dland :D (I run diaryrings for both, if you want to check them out) David's new solo album, Hallucinations, is due out September 9th, and the new single "Time Of Our Lives" is just hitting the charts now...he and the band are playing some sporadic shows this summer to gear up for the promo. Jeff's solo project band, Rye, has an album due for release in a couple months. I'm working on their official site right now. :) There's probably more but I'll stop babbling here...take care!
from raven72d :
I'm thinking I could do photos of Saddam at places like Rock City or the giant wigwam motels on Route 66...
from v-cherry :
Haha, I'm glad I could be of survice. Anyway, I've added you as a favorite, sorry it took ages. Tata.
from v-cherry :
Why thank you for actually writing back :) I plan on adding you as a favorite.
from v-cherry :
Hey. Your diary and taste are fabulous. I'm new and I'd love to get a note from some one as ace as yourself. Tata.
from tattodnanny :
A school voucher is when the state, instead of determining what school a child goes to by district, allocates the amount of money that would be spend on the childs education, and allows the parents to decide what school they will go to. This can include private religious schools. I support it because, A. I think parents should get to make decisions like that. B. most private schools are less expensive than public schools are right now. and C. if the tax dollars didn't automatically go to the district schools, schools would have to work harder, more effeicently, and maybe my sons school wouldn't blow dogs for quarters, and if it did, I would be able to take him out.
from raven72d :
As Brak's Dad hums, "...refreshing mango drink..."
from raven72d :
Glad to hear that! And I hope things go better indeed in zero-three.
from raven72d :
I hope the downturn was brief, and that things are better...
from raven72d :
Even without generic carols and with convenioence stores shut down for Boxing Day, I hope things are going well...
from raven72d :
Time travel and giant demonic bunnies... that pretty much defines my ordinary week.
from raven72d :
Alas, no have-ee DVD player! But I'll make a note for when i finally do...
from raven72d :
tuxedo sam and chilly willy are my vur' favorite penguins...
from raven72d :
penguins... everyone should have a penguin.
from divinedesire :
Damn - she got to you before I did. Yes, anyway, we're locking up. But you can use the same username and password to access both of our diaries. Just wanted to stop by and let you know :) Have a great day!
from imetpatricia :
Hi Cianne. I'm getting ready to lock my diary, so I just wanted to send you a quick note with the password and username. Anytime you want to access my diary, just type in "imetpatricia" (in all lowercase letters) as your username and "tayandjo" (also in all lowercase letters) as the password. Don't worry, we haven't had ANOTHER piano player diary-reading episode on our hands, but seeing as we keep getting Google hits for piano-bar-related-songs and that kind of stuff, we feel like we'd rather be safe than sorry. I don't think Jody's had the chance to lock hers yet, but I'm sure she'll e-mail you with her username and password and stuff whenever she gets around to it. Anyway, I just wanted to pass that news along to you. And, oh yeah, don't worry about deleting this entry from your guestbook or anything. We're not so much concerned about Diaryland as we are about Google, since it was the source of our problems last time!! Anyway, just wanted to let you know. Have a great day!! Take care!!
from raven72d :
Driving in snow and ice... I remember that from Connecticut... It scared me then, and your story scares me now.
from raven72d :
I hope you'll send e-cards from http://www.treemail.nl/takh (the Mongolian Pony Foundation site!)... I'm so socially retarded. I don't seem to experience emotions or interests the way other people do, so any social interaction is like trying to learn a vur' difficult alien language...
from raven72d :
There is the Przewalski Horse Foundation (they have a website)... they work to preserve and restore the Small Mongolian Pony to the wild... They're vur' good folks.
from raven72d :
Wuff! said the small beagle...
from multiple :
i am never going to the dentist again. *winces*
from raven72d :
Lovely Cianne-- I'll be looking forward to the Warrington story...
from raven72d :
No drugs on the coffee table-- good policy! Don't folks know that's what bathrooms are for?
from raven72d :
I'll be looking forward to the e-mail, lovely one...
from glitterscars :
"Yes Anastasia" by Tori Amos and Therapy?'s "Screamager" - the Veruca Salt one was "One Last Time" (I hope that sets your mind at rest!) Thanks for undertaking the survey anyway!
from raven72d :
Green tea. I'm having a sudden craving for Japanese green tea.
from raven72d :
Thanks for the support, lovely one! Now-- e-mail me and tell me all about Freda Warrington, whom I've never read...
from raven72d :
It's rainy and grey here... If I were Hamtaro, I'd run in my whiz wheel, eat sunflower seeds, and nap.
from raven72d :
How's life, Cianne?
from dominia :
Hey Cianne! Welcome to the goddess dRing. :)
from raven72d :
I so miss living in a city that has a subway so that you don't need a car...
from multiple :
thank you for saying the things you said in your diary. i have to admit the email had me a little shaken up, but it's a comfort to see how people will stand behind you when you're feeling down. what you said really meant a lot.
from raven72d :
I'm a conceptual person... I have no physical skills or grace whatsoever. And I once didn't go to a major job interview because when I drove downtown to the high-rise where the firm had a floor...there were no (free)parking lots, and I can't parallel park-- or never have even once since I learned to drive all those years ago.
from raven72d :
I do seem to have a long list of things I can't do... play piano, throw a football, learn to play bridge...
from raven72d :
Rabbits are nice pets... As are little hamsters...and beagles.
from raven72d :
Good luck on being able to become an animal health tech... I always admire anyone who wants to help animals...
from panjandrum :
Welcome to the Heathers Diaryring! I tried to see if you had the code up but something on your page keeps making my Explorer quit. I'm just going to assume you have it up. You probably do. Later
from raven72d :
If you go back to school-- much good luck, girl! What would you study?
from raven72d :
Thanks for the note. I hope you'll read my own diary... (The archives feature hasn't worked since July. Just click "previous" and work backward from whatever's current)
from raven72d :
I have to say that I like the sardonic tone-- I appreciate that in a writer... Meanwhile...having worked in a bookstore all through grad school, I know all about Retail Rage and make a point of not annoying the staff at video rentals or bookstores...
from divinedesire :
God, that was stupid... I didn't leave my name. Love, Jody
from divinedesire :
Cianne, this is my new diary name. :)
from theentourage :
Cianne, be careful about not thinking that she can find your diary. There's a very good reason I had to lock my diary: people who never should have found it read it and got very, very upset. Actually, they didn't read mine, they read Taylor's - but you get the point. Just wanted to tell you to be careful, since you mentioned something about it.
from theentourage :
I came here to leave you a note to let you know that you're right about Bob Seger, but it looks like Tay already got to you! HAHA! Can you tell we know our music?? That's what we get for being piano bar groupies. Anyway, hope you have a good day!
from imetvirginia :
You're gut was right: Bob Segar, all the way. "Today's music ain't got the same soul. I like that ol' time rock'n'roll . . . " :)
from carianne :
Hey! Just wanted to say that I love your opinions and your blunt attitude...you're awesome!
from theentourage :
Bra-fucking-o!!!!
from theentourage :
Ok, I'm totally with you on the "Made-Up English Language" thing.
from imetvirginia :
Why is it that I always read your diary but never leave a note? One of my quirks, I suppose. Anyway, I just read your entry from today (or, well, I guess technically it would be yesterday's entry), and since you sounded like you were pretty down in the dumps, I thought I'd send you a note, wishing you a happy birthday and telling you how sorry I am that you didn't have a better day. Hope tomorrow makes up for it. :)
