Hey, I just wanted to say it's cool to find another Christian on here. I've joined a couple of your diaryrings. I love the design for the Rich Mullins one. Yeah, looks like we have some very similar tastes in music. Well, stay cool and be God's!

Congratulations!!!!! I'm so happy for you and will be praying for you and the baby.
from minstrelite :
Have not heard from you in a really really long time, and it doesn't look like you've posted. I'm still in California & will probably stay here. I'm playing piano at the Community Church now, really good bunch of people, and the Spirit of the Lord is there. Hope you're okay.
from tommy212 :
diaryland is stupid and won't let me unlock my diary. for now, username is tom, password is tom.

Hey, I hope you can come and post more often too!!!
from minstrelite :
Joy, I disabled my notes feature because I was getting a lot of abusive notes from somebody. I've been trying to delete them, but for some reason not all of them will delete. I did succeed in deleting the most disturbing one, however. Anyway, it won't be possible to leave me a D-Land note for a while. Also, I'm somewhat disturbed, been trying to pray, but it really set me off.
from focusonyou :
hey!! yea i would totally join your casting crowns one!! u should totaly make it! God Bless love always, kit kat

I got a little worried when I learned that your MS has actually been getting worse, but you have a really good attitude, and also I know the Lord is in control. He has done great things in your life, and He will do even greater. Hang in there, sister. ~ Andy
from no-map :
*hugs* praying for you!! xxx
from shelliebell :
Its sometimes hard to find good diary's on here that don't have swear words through out the whole thing so it was an unexpected treat to read yours today!
from minstrelite :
That's a beautiful birthday entry. Hope we can chat again soon! ~ Andy
from alhanahstar :
Happy Belated birthday. Sorry I've been out of touch. Motherhood is keeping me busy. And I'm going to be 29 (WAAAH) this year, so 26 is nothing!
from godsong :
Happy birthday - I know that this will be a blessed joyful year for you. Looking forward to chatting again soon. Love, Lisa

Happy, Happy birthday, Corajoy!
from fan4 :
Skip-bo's a fun game, IMO.
from minstrelite :
Yes, of course I will tithe. Not sure what happened to me yesterday - partly I was swayed by a number of Christians, including Wendy, who said that I ought not necessarily to tithe; and partly I am very aware that to adhere to what seems to be a necessities-only budget will leave me exactly eight dollars after tithing. However, I know in my spirit that the right thing to do is to tithe, and I awoke this morning knowing that I had to do it. Proverbs 3:9-10 is a promise!
from no-map :
Welcome back *huge hugs* God needs those hard times with us.. Love reading your entries!! xxx
from minstrelite :
I just read your entry from last Monday - I hope you got a good diagnosis and treatment for that. Reading, I also had no idea if that would be the MS or not. I'm praying for you, Joy, and let me know how you're doing.
from no-map :
Its perfectly ok to be scared.. it makes you grow!! I have many money struggles too.. in fact your life in many ways is a lot like mine (yours is harder) You are one of the most wonderfully sweet and blessed people Ive ever had the pleasure of reading!! Keep going JOy.. Its in his hands!! xxx
from minstrelite :
Your entry on Return to Neverland was beautiful. Thank you.
from iamblessed :
I'm not seeing any weird things where apostrophe's should be, but I am loving your entry on Return to Neverland. I didn't get a chance to see that movie, although I wanted to, and this just makes me want to see it even more. Thank you! I really enjoy reading your diary. Love in Christ, Courtney
from fan4 :
It sounds like you enjoyed the Peter Pan sequel. I thought I'd like it, but didn't find the movie as entertaining as I thought it would be. (What's going on with your computer? Weird symbols show up, where an apostrophe should be.)
from alhanahstar :
I'll be praying!!!
from artgnome :
so totally lifting you up in prayer! God will speak through you and you will be amazed at what comes out of your mouth! :) I'm new to your blog but am looking forward to more.

from no-map :
WOW!!! Excellent news!! what a great though incredibly daunting experience!! you go joy!! hehe!! have a great time.. once you get up there.. you'll love it!! prayers as always xxx
from alhanahstar :
I love the entry about your name. I have somewhat of a similar experience. Most everyone calls me Beth - but very few every called me Elizabeth or Elizabeth Ann unless I was in trouble. But my name comes from a James Whitcomb Riley poem and it is a legacy passed down through generations. Now my husband calls me Elizabeth -- and he is a Robert, like Robert and Elizabeth Browning. Love is poetry. :-)
from tobehis :
I like the name Joy. I am glad that you are well, and "Joy"ful. :-P May God continue to bless you, and may he keep you safe. -Amy
from minstrelite :
To me, too, you are Joy. It's a beautiful name.
from fan4 :
Joy is a pretty name.
from minstrelite :
That was beautiful, Joy, and I think that about sums it up. He never leaves us or forsakes us. He's always there.
from alhanahstar :
Keep on keepin on! :-) You'll be great.
from minstrelite :
I wouldn't worry about being an Admin on exwitch.org - as you said, it's an honor; these are wonderful people, and you can rise to the occasion. (If it makes you feel any better, I was asked to be a moderator on the Broadway group of an Artists @ Writers board. I'll send you the link.) God is with you, sister!
from minstrelite :
Thanks for your prayers, Joy. I know you're a strong sister in Christ. I did notice that my images aren't happening on my site lately, so if you want to host them for me, let me know. I'll send you an email with my current AIM handle and maybe we can chat.
from alhanahstar :
Hey girl! Sorry I wasn't too talkative the other day - I was at work and very busy - have been since I got back from Costa Rica. I have a prayer request. Robert and I had our first initial interview to be foster parents and we are very excited. Please pray that everything goes well and the paperwork gets done expediently. And please pray that we get into the July classes we want in, otherwise we have to wait until August. Thanks and talk to you soon!
from minstrelite :
Hi, Joy. It was good to read your update just now. I don't know if you've been keeping up with me, but this move has been really hard because of my disobedience. I tried moving back to the city because of a great job offer there, but both the job and my living situation in the city fell through. Now I'm back in the country town where evidently God told me to relocate about three months ago, and I'm joyful, but my family and everyone in the city thinks I'm totally nuts. So I'm downcast and trying to figure it out. Anyway, my membership application was just accepted at a Baptist church here, and I'm seeking the Lord for wisdom whether to go there or too a Pentecostal church for various reasons. Leave me a note when you can. ~ Andy
from godsong :
I'm so glad you updated! Great to hear what's going on in your busy, busy life! God bless!
from godsong :
Hey Joy - i've been missing your diary! Hurry back! God bless!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I love you, Joy. God Bless.
from minstrelite :
Beautiful entry, Joy.
from kindred528 :
I *LOVE* Cowboy Mouth!! I haven't gotten to see them live, yet, but if I can raise the $85 I'm gonna try to see them at the House Of Blues in Chicago for the New Year's Eve party!!! What's your favourite song? I like "Jenny Says" the most!
from opalanne :
I love the dulcimer, but no, I am not familiar with Rich Mullins. How about Russell Cook or Mark Tindle? I saw my first dulcimer when I was about 14, and it has remained one of my favorite instruments since. Unfortunately, the only musical talent I have is to enjoy it! ;-) I love your diary. It is a powerful testimony to the saving grace of Christ, and God is using you in a remarkable way through these pages. I had read several of your newer entries before I went back and read the archives, so I did not realize initially that you came to know Him during the time frame of your online journal. Praise God, He is an awesome God! I am thankful for your salvation and the testimony you share with the world.
from nuntobe :
You inspire me to the fullest. You help me realize many things. You show me, without knowing, why I deserve to live. You relay God's love for me. You do so many things for me, by just writing what you want to write. I thank you for this, and I thank you for that wonderful email you sent me. The past few days I have been contemplating suicide again, and by receiving your letter along with many others, I have decided that I will not do it. Thanks for helping, love you bunches. God Bless *hugs* ~Jamie~
from dramatizer :
It's been a while since we've talked. I just wanted you to know that I still read your diary. You help me to see beneath just the surface areas of lots of things and events going on. God is using you! I think I'm going to go and thank Him for you right now. :) God Bless.
from minstrelite :
I'm praying for the marriage seminar. I want to say, I thank God and respect you greatly for your conversion from witchcraft to the truth. I also appreciate your keeping in touch with me, while some of the others seem to have abandoned me - perhaps they are too busy, but no matter. I've been through blessings and trials recently, but the thought of Rob having accepted Christ keeps me strong in the Lord. God bless you, as you continue to walk with Him.
from dramatizer :
I was looking for that guys name in the story I told. Thanks for reading. I still read yours!
from alhanahstar :

Hello, I hope you had a fun and eventful Halloween. If not, I hope today will be a good day for you. God bless ya! -Jesse
from minstrelite :
Thank you Joy. I agree, let us be an encouragement to each other.
from minstrelite :
Thanks again, Joy, for your note. I believe that God inspired me to produce that entry, and you are the only one who acknoledged that. I pray that I can continue to do His Will, as far as DiaryLand is concerned, from here on in. Blessings to you.
from minstrelite :
I'm okay now. It all went through my system, and I was able to go to the bathroom. I also re-read your Prayer Requests entry, and prayed for every request. I can go to bed now. Goodnight, and God bless.
from minstrelite :
Thanks for the encouragement, Joy. I'm glad I returned to the devotional entries - the Lord had been nudging me to. Please pray for me if you get this soon. I took a combination of medicines for my cough, laryngitis, and sleeplessness, and now my heart is racing, whereas before I was tired and could have gone to bed. I'm not sure what is happening to me physically, but it's not good. Anyway, I'll be okay...thanks again for the encouragement. I finally did what the Lord was leading me to do, as far as Lighted Path and DiaryLand are concerned. God bless you.
from gilbertgoh :
Hi i saw yr blog thru minstrelite. I am happy to read abt another Christian who walked the walk with Christ. I will read yr blog on a regular basis just as i read minstrelite regularly...if u wanna noe more abt me just go to my profile or straight into my blog. Thanks once again for yr gd writings and cheers!
from minstrelite :
I basically did the tea with honey and gargling with salt water thing. I was forced to talk at a couple points, but will probably stay home from my morning job tomorrow, which involves dealing with a difficult person whom I'm supposed to forgive seventy times seven times. My current thinking is that I've forgiven her at least 490 times, and am about to give up the gig. No matter. Good to hear from you, and please know that your concerns are being lifted up in prayer.
from brdwaybebe :
Hi Joy! I made a Samaritan Woman layout! Don't feel prssured to use it but I'd love if you would take a look and lemme know whatcha think! - Love Christy
from minstrelite :
I will pray for those things you suggested, especially for the situation in which the man is abusive toward the little girl. You must have a lot weighing on you now. Take heart, and know that people are praying for you.
from minstrelite :
The Memorial did go well, Joy, although my unbelieving brother (whom I love) seemed to feel vaguely uncomfortable when I assured my daughter that her grandmother was in heaven. Please pray for him - his name's Steve. He's a great guy - he just made his first million by the time he was thirty, and he sees no need to believe. Have a good week in the Lord, Joy.
from gilbertgoh :
Hi I found u thry Minstrelite. U have a very cool journal page n design. I am new to this probably last than a mth or so but it met my need of pouring myself into a journal. I am a Christian guy of 42 yrs old. I was in the faith about 20 yrs ago though currently my faith isnt that sounds after all. If u read my msg to Minstrelite u will gather by now that i am having some marital problem...I dun wanna go into it and just wanna thank u for yr beautiful journal...take care Gilbert
from minstrelite :
Thanks for your prayers, joy. I actually did have a joyful day today, not as stress-free as yesterday, but action-packed in a positive way. The only downer is I seem to be coming down with something. I've been doing the Echinacea (sp.) and lots of water and Vitamin C. I hope I can sleep it off, as my Mom's memorial is this Sunday. Please pray concerning that. Hope you had a great day as well. God bless.
from wakingmoon :
hi, just stumbled across your diary. I know you used to be a witch, but while I found Pagan entries and Christian ones.....I couldn't spot the one where you became Christian, which I'd have liked to read.
from minstrelite :
My personal belief, being somewhat Scripture-oriented, though not a fundamentalist in the strictest sense of the word, is that the requirements for salvation are clearly outlined in Romans 10:8-13. However, I also believe that to be a true Christian, one must participate in a process of santification initiated by God after the initial experience of salvation. The Bible makes this clear in many places, and if you want Scripture references, I will provide them for you. Anyway, that's my two cents.
from caspia :
Oh, I almost forgot. My diary is not dedicated to God. If it was, you would see a whole new side of me. Since my diary wasn't created to convert people, I don't go out of my way to get all preachy because I don't want people to harass me like they do. I have my faith. Besides, I alone will never be able to convince anyone otherwise, it takes God's wisdom to do that. It's not wrong to be me.
from caspia :
Yeah, apparently uou completely misread my diary. Yesterday for example, ahd absoluetly ZERO to do with gloating. I was simply feeling good that the stupid liberals in the world finaly lost something, no matter how small. If you had seen how much about a dozen crazy women harrassed me last week you would have understood. But what I REALLY hate is people trying to tell me how to worship and glorify God. Your way isn't neccessarily the best. Might I also add that just because I might swear on occasion, or get angry, does not mean I'm a bad Christian! I am saved by faith alone. I have confidence in that. That doesn't mean I live my life poor or anything, but I don't write in my diary to be harassed or misinterpreted.
from b-w-p :
I met Rich Mullins briefly. I shook his hand, I think. I went to a Young Life skiing and indoctrination weekened where Rich was the song leader, and Beaker was there with him. As I recall, Rich ran into a ski lift pole and may have broken his thumb. Great man, lovely voice, beautiful heart, bad skier.
from lightedpath :
Hello Joy! Lighted Path is now up and running! You are more than welcome to come and add your site to our Christian Directory! Can't wait to see what God does in and through us as we all work together! - with much love, Christy
from nuntobe :
You are so inspiring to me, I found your diary by accident, but I am so glad. I really hope that you don't mind if I read, I look forward to it each day. May God Bless. ~Jamie~
from alhanahstar :
Praying for you. I sent an email to the link on your diary the last time, and I'm not sure it went through -- send an email to [email protected] . . . and then I'll figure out how to resend it to you. :-)
from dramatizer :
Are you a believer?
from godsong :
Just looked at your diary - Praise God for another sister in Christ! Would love to hear from you sometime. I'm sure you will do fine sharing your testimony - God will bless you and make your words a blessing to all who hear them.
from alhanahstar :
Sent you an email from my work account. Hope you get it. Praying for you. You are a wonderful woman.
from minstrelite :
Just read your recent entry - you were a witch? I praise God for your deliverance. I'm actually just waking up, and haven't begun my Bible-reading yet, though I've prayed. I'm glad I read that entry, and I pray you will always be more drawn to the Spirit of the Lord than to the pseudo-power of the circle. God be with you on the women's retreat.
from minstrelite :
Amen and Amen. Thanks for your note, and for your recent entry. Myself, I've been up since 4:30, am on the second wind of a second wind, and am praying for a solid night's sleep, so as to have time for devotionals before my 8:30 job tomorrow. If you get this in time, please pray that God blesses me with a sound sleep. Once again, thank you for keeping up with my online journal ministry. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, now and forever. Amen.
from brdwaybebe :
Hi Joy! I was nosing around Minstrelite's notes and saw these lyrics you mentioned: ""Sometimes, I'm the prodigal, sometimes I'm the other brother." I was curious what song that was from. I'd be very inerested to hear it. Take Care! I hope God blesses you today! - Love in Christ, Christy
from minstrelite :
Hey, I really love your diary. I'm glad I found it. Our pastor also included in his message this morning that God is a God of wrath as well as love. God's anger is always justified, his indignation always righteous. I only have a few favorites, because of the lack of time I have to read many diaries, but I believe I will add yours. Thanks for the love of God, and the words of truth.
from minstrelite :
Sorry - actually, the right thing to do is not to include the link until I have your permission. I'll wait to hear from you.
from minstrelite :
I hope you don't mind if I link to your diary in my morning entry. If you do mind, I'll remove the link.
from minstrelite :
Just thought I'd elaborate on my brief (one word) note from last night. You bring up an excellent point. I had been thinking of humility more along the lines of being "least and servant of all," but I think you've got a great point in that when we go off on our own, thinking we can do things on our own strength without relying totally on God, that is pride, and when we recognize our need for God and act accordingly, that is humility. I'll be pondering that one more and more, and maybe I'll even write about it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, and have a great weekend in the Lord.
from minstrelite :
Amen.
from minstrelite :
I just read a little of your diary. I like the way you talk about events in your personal life, and how the Lord is involved in them. Also, I just wanted to say that the commentary on your profile is beautiful. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Grace and peace to you.
from minstrelite :
Thanks for the note, Joy! I just got home from visiting family out of town, and I'm kind of beat, but your diary looks great at first glance. I'll try to make a point of reading it tomorrow evening. God bless!
from alhanahstar :
Thanks for the note -- I leave my computer on at work - so I didn't get it until this morning. Feel free to e-mail me anytime. [email protected]
from alhanahstar :
Feel free to link to the post. :-)
from alhanahstar :
Tell her I'm praying. :-)
from alhanahstar :
I had never heard that story, I thought I'd read them ALL. I just wrote a paper for Indiana History about Rich. Thanks for that -- I needed something like that today. I think I'll put in my CD now and have a Rich pick-me-up. :-)
from alhanahstar :
I didn't mean to make you cry!! I'm sorry. I don't have any other message service besides ICQ or aolim, but you can get both for free. I'm usually only on during the day -- you are welcome to email me though -- [email protected]. Thanks for the message. My niece is a real sweetheart. :-)
from alhanahstar :
I got a hammered dulcimer over vacation. It will be my all time goal to learn to play "Creed." (It is going to take a LONG TIME.) ~Aunt Beth~
from alhanahstar :
Thanks for adding me to your list! Rich Mullins is one of my all time favorites. We grew up in the same hometown and graduated from the same high school -- even though he is several years older than I am. I know many of his family members and was crushed when he died. But I have learned much from the legacy he left behind. If you haven't read the book about his life "An Arrow Pointing to Heaven", you should -- it is wonderful. God Bless, "Aunt Beth" (That seems to be what everyone calls me on here.)
from ravynemyst :
grrrr! Yes, had problems with the guestbook thing again - maybe it is just a peak-time problem. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that I am sorry about your father in law's anger problem and that hopefully he will realize that his anger is getting in the way of his spiritual nature. Best wishes on finding a new home. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
from ravynespeaks :
::sighs:: you may want to check your guestbook thingie..still cannot sign it. Just wanted to thank you for the warm birthday wishes. Have a great weekend!
from ravynemyst :
Tried to sign guestbook, but it wasn't co-operating, so here is what I was going to say: Hi Joy! One of my fave teas is called Moroccan Mint. I buy most of my teas online at www.stashtea.com they have a huge selection of teas from all over the world and at better prices than I can get at my local health/co-op food store.
from taliana1 :
I was at the CM concert too...they certainly were awesome, weren't they? I always leave feeling absolutely amazing.
from karenashley :
Hey! Sorry it took me forever to respond. I am new at Dirayland and I honestly don't know what a Diary Ring is... so I am not sure if I want to join one or not. Let me know what it is, and I'm sure I'd love to join... if only I knew how (the link on my note didn't work). Thanks!
from crystallia :
You need to get a guestbook so people can give you "love" when they stop by :)
