Actually, she went to daycare while I was still in school, but I worked down there for an hour and it was right downstairs from my classroom. It was hard even being that close, though. I always made them call me if something happened and I would go check in on her every chance that I got. I wouldn't even let the other babies touch her because I didn't want them scratching her or passing on their germs.

I was just going through your diary, and in an entry, you wrote this: "I find satisfaction in my future. Knowing that I am not just another black girl that is going to get pregnant at 17 and drop out of school. I am not another drug abuser and I am not a teen statistic. And I do think I am better then some people. God handed them the exact same opportunities as me and I persevered. There is nothing I had that they didn’t. It’s called motivation and some people need to find out." Didn't you think that would be just a LITTLE offensive to the teenage mother that you just added to your list? Yes, I was 16 when I got pregnant, and I had a baby when I was 17. And yes it is a struggle. But if you're so much better than all of the other "teen statistics", then why am I, the "person who has the same options as you and failed" finished with high school and you're not? God doesn't give every body the same opprotunites. I'm not from the same place as you and I don't have the same family as you and I may not even be as "smart" as you, but I have a daughter who is only six months old, and I put most parents with grown ass children to age. Having a baby during high school was an obstacle, but it didn't slow me down any, and I'm insulted that you lump all teenaged mothers into the ever-so-common stereotype that America seems to think that we are. I thought you were better than that.

Well the driving school I went to was at my school but they have classes at different schools, its called Top Driver u can look up the number on the internet I think...but I went on Saturdays it was every Saturday for like 5 weeks I think I cant remember somethin like that and it was 3 hrs everytime

I know exactly what you mean about the whole always having to worry about money thing. I feel the same way at times. Especially since I go to school where everybody but me drives a brand new Mercedes or a BMW and has 6 or 7 beach homes. And I too despise always having to ask my parents for money and things like that. But I guess with time we learn to appreciate what we do have, become more practical and find new ways to get those things that we don't have but really want and all the worrying begins to diminish. It gets better with time I suppose. Stay up girlie.
