we're gettin' hitched October 1, how 'bout yourself? isn't this wedding business just pure lunacy? good luck with your planning!
from luckeme :
Merry Christmas sweetheart! :) xxo!
from beltwaybelle :
Howdy, and thanks for adding me! I sent the user name and password for the private folder to the e-mail you have listed on your page. It's from an AOHell address, but you'll know it's me from the name, so check your spam folder if you don't see it. AOHell and Hotmail don't play well together sometimes. Cheers!
from gloamling :
I looked it up...apparently he was not only real, but a sort of hero of Kinsey's. Yuck yuck yuck. You can read about it here. Makes me feel a whole lot less warm and fuzzy about the movie. Apparantly K. also said ""the difference between rape and a good time depends on whether the girls parents were awake when she finally came home." Again with the ick.
from luckeme :
GOOD LUCK TOMORROW honey. It's going to suck ass and balls! I'll be thinking of you!
from luckeme :
Actually, I'm not really paying for my wedding. I think I'll probably have to pay for the photographer, but that's about it. My grandma and Aunt Barb are pretty much footing the bill because I was just going to get married in the court house because my family SUCKS. :) Second shift blows... I miss travis and sydney for FOUR DAYS. Starting today, until Saty when we are both off... all I do is crawl in bed with him when I get home, and then he gets up in the morning, cuddles with me a bit, and heads to work. For a bit I was gettin up with him, but that proved to be more depressing than just staying in bed. xox. thanks for the note katie. and that guy sounds like a douche bag.
from gloamling :
You should totally make the people who sold you that tire check it out! That sounds like maybe a bad valve, and they ought to replace it. You're right -- having a short-life tire is a lot more expensive (and dangerous) than a short-life toner cartridge!
from adorkable :
Sure. I keep Adorkable for the friends and family I've left behind. Manumission..I keep it for me and especially for the things not meant for them. Lately, though, I've been undoing personality changes that should have never been done in the first place. So, for that reason, I've been astray from Manumission. If don't keep up Adorkable...I get calls at all hours of the day.
from adorkable :
Crafty little devil. Well, I update Adorkable more frequently, but...alas, I've neglected Manumission yet again. I'll be getting back to it soon, though.
from adorkable :
You would have to be the first to ever track me down from one diary to the other. I suppose it really isn't too hard, but how did you go about doing it? Just curious, you know.
from luckeme :
Yaye Yaye Yaye! I want details!! details!! details!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You better be giving me the scoop on this or I'll come hunt you down and tickle you till you do! Congrats Katie! xoxo!!!

this entry makes me sad. i know you love tom katie... but you deserve someone who will treat you like the princess you are. i know this isn't going to make you see what an ass he is, people told me it all the time about nathan and i. but i left him, he's gone, and i've found the prince to my princess... you have to know that your's is out there too... just don't wait too long to find him. i love you and feel for you so much. i wish i was able to be there for you... as you so need a good friend. xox.

Yeah, I was slacking off for a bit. But in my defense, life got hard and weird for a while and writing about it was almost worse than living through it. I appreciate that you were concerned to say something though. :-) Sounds like you've got quite the plateful yourself right now. Feels good to have some money, doesn't it? Take care, ~LA
from intheory27 :
I'm so sorry. Honestly? It's because I haven't even had time to look at the peoples' diaries who have signed up. I'll look at yours soon, promise.

it's an unfortunate fact, but usually bridesmaids have to pay for their own dresses for weddings. which is why you should always try to discourage your girlfriends from ever getting married at all :)

from starlight42 :
Ran across your diary...hope you're feeling better, you didn't sound too good in your last entry. I see you're from Michigan too. Cool.
from moonwort :
Thank you for letting me know you like my diary...the reason I locked it was a big mess that happened at school last weekend where I got caught sneaking out again and my friend got caught sneaking out two nights in a row...I had detailed the whole affair in my journal and when I found out my headmaster knew about the escapade, I thought maybe our computer techie guy at school had turned my online confessions over to him. So I erased the entry and locked my diary. I'll be unlocking it soon. Sorry about that.
from dgsickly :
"I am (not)" -- Katie, I know that you are all those things that you say you are not, and you can do everything that you say you cannot. Change your attitude on life and everything else will begin to fall into place. It will take time and most of that will be spent wondering why things suck. But thats all a part of the process, I really believe it is, even if it's sometimes hard to reconize. Without hardship we cannot have prosper. We cannot long for anything without experiencing something less desirable. What is life without something to long for?
from bmi :
Happy New Year.

Katie, thanks for taking the time to fill out my survey. You really count turtles that wear scarves? That's too cute. I would love to receive a Christmas card from you...if it isn't any trouble:) Eric
from dgsickly :
Katie-- I think your design is great. I read some of those peoples reviews. Just remember that those people are just normal people, it is just their opinion on your journal that they are posting. It's not like they are "professional journal reviewers" or anything. They just deem themselves "judge" for some reason or another. What I found funny is that one of the reviewers found it hard to navigate your page! hahah! She said that she "had a hard time figuring out that things were links." Thats pretty sad if you ask me. It seems like she's someone who doesnt really know much about how the internet works, and if she doesnt know much about the internet then what is she doing reviewing ONLINE journals? The stary sky hurt her eyes? Well obviously she's an older person then, because its just fine to me. So this older person is of course not going to be able to relate to anything in your journal, as most of your content is based on problems you are having right now, in your early 20's. Therefore, she cannot produce a fair review.
from bop-reviews :
Hi. Your review is up at Bop-Reviews. ~Star
from tiki-reviews :
Your review has been posted, http://tiki-reviews.diaryland.com/dadeeli.html
from diaryreviews :
Your review is up at Diary Reviews! (you have some very "uptight" friends, don't you?) Jessica
from dgsickly :
"if you're uptight, don't read this" -- Just because you assign the term "cool" to those who are laid back and dislike those who are uptight doesnt mean that everyone agrees with you. Theres a nazi wandering around the street randomly opening peoples homes and murdering any jew he finds. If you are real laid back you are just going to ignore it and conform by having no quarrel with him. If you are uptight about not letting anyone just run around murdering innocent people then you are going to jump up and say something about it or call the police. So you see, Katie, if you want to go around calling people, who have the tendency to be uptight, negative terms, then you better be prepared to accept the extreme conclusion to your views.
from mattu :
Thanks. I needed a vacation, for sure. I'm going to start getting on my school's internet service dept.'s ass soon, so maybe I'll have the internet on my own computer and we can chat on AIM a bit.

from stephieg123 :

from stephieg123 :
Seriously Katie..you can stop blaming Joe. I've already told you exactly where we all were that night. I'll say it again. Kaite gets to our house, we stayed in the kitchen as I finished washing the dishes, she stood behind the counter talking to me, you came in a started talking with us...then I believe you walked away to get on the computer and just after that Dan arrived. We talked to Dan for a bit and he went in the back to see you. That leaves Kaite and I standing in the dining room talking again. After a few minutes, Joe finally arrives. He stands in the dining room with us untill I left to go in my room which means he was with Kaite, which then means Kaite would've seen something happen to the keys "if Joe had taken them"...I came back, and he was sitting in the chair at the table closest to the kitchen, and he was looking through the AE bag holding up your shirt, that was when you walked in and he complimented on that and you started talking about how the jeans you had just gotten actually made you look skinny. You and Dan walked into the living room and we then left to go to Jim's. We came back, knocked on the front door, you yelled at us to go to the side cause it was locked, we did, entered the side door, said hello to mom, entered the kitchen, we all talked to you cause you said something about ice cream. Then Kaites ice cream was melting all over the place and she grabbed a paper towel, I mentioned something about going into the living room and she said she didnt want to get anything all over the place so we stood in the kitchen some more for a sec and then I remember Kaite going over to you guys and talking to you and then she followed Joe and I into the backroom...where we stayed for at least 15 min.. Kaite said it was time to go and I followed her through the kitchen, into the dining room (which is where you and Dan still were, Kaite even said you two were still in there) then out the door where I had left Joe sitting at the computer for at least 5 min. I walk back in throught the front door, locked it, and walked through the living room, which is where you were not, and walked back into the backroom. That is where we stayed untill mom said it was time to take him home. After that, we walked out of the backroom, into the hallway, out into the kitchen, through the kitchen, down the landing and out the door into the driveway. WHY WOULD SOMEONE JUST TAKE THE HOUSE KEYS??? IF ANYONE WERE WANTING TO STEAL KEYS, THEY'D BE STUPID TO NOT TAKE THE WHOLE ENTIRE SET, AND NOT TAKE THE BUG! OR EVEN DAN'S KEY, TWO HOUSES TO ROB. Mmmm Hmmm.
from dgsickly :
"Dude, where are my keys?" -- haha, it's funny how you go through all the possibilities and then you get to Joe. "he's really shady and no one likes him except for my sister." hehe I just found that funny. Don't ask me why, but it was just funny to me. I hope you find your keys!
from la-the-sage :
Hello! Thanks for listing me as a favorite! ~LA
from dgsickly :
"busy busy busy" -- Student, you know that I understand the reason why you cannot make it to King's Island. I was mad at first, but thats just because I'm a little foolish at times. I'll still have fun without you and Dan, but you know I'd have even more fun with you guys there. I just hope your weekend ends up being really fun too. Maybe your new job at Texas Roadhouse will turn out to be as fun as you are expecting it to be. ;D
from dgsickly :
"fuck the pool" -- Quit the pool job if you don't like it. How are you bound to it? They don't own you by any means, and if they do not treat you right or don't treat you the way you expected them to then why should you treat them the way they expect you to and stay working there.
from lmcs1116 :
Ah, you must be speaking of Qdoba. they have a few of those in K-zoo. SOOOOO GOOD.
from dgsickly :
"In a Fog" -- Nonsense Katie, while it is true that maybe no one else can see what is going on inside of your head, it is absolutely not true that you have no control over your actions. Just in your entry you admit that you have some problems, maybe even a lot of problems, but I have never believed that there is something wrong with you personally. Maybe your mood does not match your experiences, or maybe your reactions dont always seem like they were the best way to react in a given situation, but the point is that you can look back on what you did before and know and admit that it was wrong. I know from experience that the older we grow the more easily it becomes to tame ourselves. We may feel the same way in different situations, but we will be able to exercise a certain higher level of control over our reactions. Im not perfect by a long shot, but as I get older I also slowly gain a little more control just a little at a time. I wholeheartedly believe that the same will be true for you. And while on your journey dont think that no one cares about what you are going through, use your friends and dont be afraid to talk about your problems and maybe we can shed a little light on your situations or at least stand by your side. No matter how bad you think you are I, for one, will never give up on you.
from dgsickly :
"# 100" -- Katie... maybe you are looking in the wrong place! You could write a book that is in the form of journal entries. Maybe not your own journal entries, but ones about a certian person that you come up with. It would tell a story through her journal entries. If you have not done so already, you might want to read the book, "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood. I think you would very much enjoy it, and I can lend it to you. It's kind of in the format of a Journal. But anyways, thats just my idea. You know I have always loved your writing, and I know that one day you will make something famous and even more wonderous than the short works you have already put to paper.
from dgsickly :
"cranky boredom pleas" -- I would want to hear anything about you, and believe me it wouldnt be too much information or something that I wouldnt want to hear. You are a close friend of mine and we share a lot of the same problems and fears, and our friendship started on telling eachother problems that were kind of personal. So for me, it wouldnt affect anything negativly or make me look down on you, and I'm sure that goes for all of your good friends. The question is, however, if you really would want to post such things for anyone to see; anyone who just met you and got your AIM name, anyone who is in any of your classes and searches for your AIM name. The journal is in your info, and they'd probably read it out of curiosity. Those people might not be ready for what you have to say, they would need to get to know you first. So it's up to you. I wish they had a "friends" list on this journal, where you could restrict certian entries to people you have on that list. Like live journal or whatever.
from lmcs1116 :
Oh that sucks.... If the guy was pretending to be of indian decent it may have been this recording that i have on my comp... it's one of those universal prank calls- like the arnold schwartzenager ones. people suck
from dgsickly :
"Anyone home?" -- Katie, I think you should get a different journal with a name no one could figure out. It would be best to get the things you have in your head out instead of keeping them inside. In my experience, getting something out as it comes is better than leaving it build up... that only leads to an outburst or a blow up. Plus, the very act of writing something out forces order to your thoughts which can help you gain insight.
from dgsickly :
"Birthday times Pi and scrubbin' fun" -- I think you should either get the computer, since you've been talking about it lately, or a bookshelf (if you don't have the money for a computer), because I think you've wanted another bookshelf for quite a long time! The digital camera would be fun, but it goes more with the trip to all those places you want to go. And the rest, such as the Oriental dress, I know nothing of! hehe Ok, theres my suggestions!
from dgsickly :
"A pleasant birthday" -- I'm glad your birthday went so well this year. ;D Just make sure to take good care of Fluffy, and if you cant get him to fall asleep play him music. hehe
from dgsickly :
"Chubster with the meat cleaver" -- hahah! OMG though, never again can you be caught with white socks on.
from dgsickly :
"Final Blues" -- Katie, I wish I could have seen your final today! hehe, but alas it was not a public recital. I enjoyed your last performance, and I'm sure the judges enjoyed todays. If not, they shall be dealt with. (joking). Anyways, hopefully I will get to chat with you sometime during this week but if I don't, I wish you the best of luck. And just think, this week may be crazy and stressfull, but you can celebrate Friday night in Canada!
from dgsickly :
"Dave aka Thesickness" -- hehe Good entry! I'm glad that right now we arent on one of those "month long no talking to each other" deals, because it's great to have you as my friend whom I can talk to about things. Oh yea, and the monster wanted me to thank you for mentioning him, he was excited when I read the entry to him. ;D
from dgsickly :
"Befriend a rain drop" - hehe, good entry, I enjoyed it. Most times I read your diary it makes me smile. Many times I read your diary it leaves a "residual" smile for a few hours afterwards. Often I read your diary and find wonderful stories about your childhood or about random things which usually make my entire day brighter! This was one of those stories. hehe, now I wont feel as sad as I normally do about a rainy day. Instead, I'll imagine a happy child, dancing her way between the drops. But anyways, it was a good entry, when I get around to updating thesickness.net, I hope you will allow me to put it in the gallery of "short stories."
from dgsickly :
"used to be..." - This entry of yours is really sad, but it honestly is the best piece of your writing I have ever read. I can almost not even believe how good it is, but I knew you possessed such talent since the first time I had the pleasure of reading some of your work. I am left speechless; I feel that anything I say will not begin to describe the power of your entry.
from dgsickly :
I have a topic for you to write about if you would like to. I am interested to hear more about your love of cheese. hehe, what are some of your memories of the best cheese that you've ever had. ;D
from dgsickly :
"ed ;0)" - Wonderful!! I think that story just made my day. Hehe, I especially like the part about how we can find him "being nosey" lol, I mean just look at his nose!! No offence, ed! Now, I'm interested to hear the story of this mysterious monster fellow sometime, told in your usual great writing style.
from dgsickly :
"The Pathetics" -- I agree with you!!! There is no excuse for them to not let you finish with only 20 minutes left. A suggestion though: try downloading the movie!! Some of the movies that are already on DVD are really good quality if you can find them on the net. That way you can skip right to the end and not pay a red cent!
from dgsickly :
Great news!!!
from dgsickly :
Who is...I mean was... this happy girl?
from dgsickly :
Bravo!! Like your sun, the return of your writing has been long awaited! Trust me, if you ever feel the urge to pick up your pen: do it. Do it fast, because something wonderful is about to happen.
from wingshockey :
hey bud - feel better - catch me later if you need cheering
from dgsickly :
LOL that was a pretty good story. (Some famous foolishness for thought...)
from mysteryman31 :
I have a topic for you to write about! I was interested in your entry on figuring out what you want to do for a career. Can you explain the things that interest you the most and what you are struggling to choose from?
from mysteryman31 :
The first thing that comes to mind after hearing the term Scotch tape is just that: Scotch tape. Its not just tape it is in fact Scotch tape. People generally call any clear tape they wrap presents with or use around the house Scotch tape. But why isnt it just called tape? Or Clear tape? Well the reason why is because it was originally invented 71 years ago by a man named Richard Drew who worked for 3M Company. The word Scotch is really just a brand name owned by 3M. Now thats brand recognition!! The goal of every company is to make a product that everyone knows by their invented name. So when you walk into the store and think, I have a runny nose, you say to yourself, well of course I need some Kleenex tissue. Chances are, youd rather buy the name you know than, god forbid, plain old tissues. The second thing that comes to my mind when thinking of Scotch tape are rainy days during my childhood. We used to have a box collection. Whenever we opened up a new tube of toothpaste or finished a box of cereal, we would add the empty box to our collection. On rainy days, when there was nothing to do but sit inside, out would come the collection and wed construct cool things from the boxes. Of course, a lot of Scotch tape was used. Or was it just tape?
from theothergirl :
For me, scotch tape is the absolute best. My number one choice.
from mysteryman31 :
02-17-02-- Its a tough decision to make because it will affect the rest of your life. You might be making it harder than it needs to be though. It seems to me that if you dont know by now what you want to do for sure, why would you know any better in another half year? Thats not a bad thing though. Maybe you already have everything you need to make an informed decision. Look at all the things you are interested in and pick what you think would result in the career that would be the most fun for you. It looks like you are already at this point. You have a lot of things you find interesting but you are having a hard time deciding which one would be best. Heres a suggestion: Take out a pen and start a list of jobs or subjects that you find interesting. Spend about a week writing your list; every time something comes to mind over the course of the week, write it down on your list. After a week, if something isnt on that list it probably doesnt deserve to be. Once you have your list, start going down it researching every job or interest. Find out what jobs you could get and what you would be doing at each job. Assign a number to your list items: once you are finished researching an item on your list, rate it from 1 to 10 according to your findings. Youll have to find things to use for research. For one source, you could try using internet websites that list jobs. Like www.monster.com. They usually list what youd be doing at the job and what is required to get the job. Once you are finished, narrow down your list by crossing off the items that didnt score high enough, and if you have some ties look at those carefully and rate them again being pickier. Once you are finished, you will be left with the best that you can do and you should be able to feel good about your choice, because you personally narrowed it down out of all your interests. Stick with that choice unless you have a lot of evidence to support another interest in the future. This doesnt mean that you cant do other things, though; you can pursue other interests on the side while you are working on your career.
from mysteryman31 :
You do have people like that in your life. You just are looking in the wrong places. It seems like you want someone to be this person, and you want them to do all the things you list off. It looks like you are trying to mold someone into doing things your way. Maybe that person has his or her own way of doing the things you want and need, but you are overlooking it because you are so focused on your own needs. You also keep talking about how you help everyone else all the time, well it seems like they dont thank you for it or are ungrateful or else you wouldnt be complaining about it. If all the people you help are ungrateful, or dont thank you, then are you really helping them like you explain that you are? Or do others see what you do to help them as something else? Maybe you need to stop obsessing about one person and look at other places in your life, at other people who would be more than willing to help you or be a shoulder for you to cry on. People that you normally overlook or have taken for granted. Try looking at things through other peoples eyes, and not just your own. Maybe things that people do to you are their way of trying to help or trying to say that they care about you. If you would take the time to look at those things and try to see any good in them instead of thinking that they are out to get you, you might just realize that most people who get to know you care a great deal about you and would do pretty much anything to help. Just not in the way that you think they should, but instead they would do it in their own way. The fact is it seems like you will always feel this way unless you change your perceptions. You say you need all those things and want them but then you dont listen to people when they try and help you. When someone tries to help you, you take it as trying to hurt you or you let it hurt you when the original intention was to help. People are not going to help you according to your rules, to your own set of guidelines of what you think you need. They will help you based on what THEY think you need, and quite frankly, based on how confused you seem to be, if you listen to them you will probably be better off right now than if they followed your guidelines.
