Are you a girl or a boy? I like Alan Jackson too. My favorite song of his is Remember When. I also like George Strait and Garth Brooks.
from mommy0609 :
hey the most recent comic brought a smile to my face. Thanks!
from goodluckgold :
hey ur comic looks cool but i cant read wht it says becuz i m using diaryland on my phone, but ill check it out when i go into my computer! Hooray 4 da creative minds!
from girl-aflame :
I've been thinking about coming back since I just broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years, I haven't really decided for sure yet. Glad to see you're still posting :)
from dinosaurorgy :
Aw, I think that it was well worth the wait :D
from dinosaurorgy :
Aw.. a book? But what happens if I've been waiting patiently for 24 hours JUST FOR AN UPDATED COMIC here? (I guess I'll have to wait some more....)
from ireintrospct :
Ok, this is just getting wierd. I just flipped to Lara Croft on the TV and there he is AGAIN! Sorry, freaking out over here.
from ireintrospct :
The first I ever heard of Gerard Butler was through your diary. Wouldn't ya know, maybe 2 days later, he was on Ellen and I'm thinking "Damn, THAT's him?" I now understand the attraction. Funny how things work that way.
from ireintrospct :
Thanks for your comment. My Mom also didn't get her license 'till she was in her mid 20s. I guess it only seems "late" 'cause so many kids are so eager to get it as soon as they turn 16. It just wasn't that important to me but now I wonder why I waited the couple extra years. *shrugs* I love the originality of your diary, mind if I add?
from girl-aflame :
No I didn't delete them, I just took them off the archive page because they were cluttering up. You can still get to them by using the back button. I'm just trying to keep my diary really simple right now. I read the character profile, my height is 5'4 and if you're asking my real age it's 20 but my char's age is probably closer to 27 or so. Do you want a real picture for the avatar? I'll try to find one of me and resize it to those dimensions. You got my interests down fine... I will look at it again and see if there's anything to add to it.
from girl-aflame :
Wheeeeeee! I'm immortalized for all the ages! Thank you!!
from alittlehorse :
eek!!! :) hehe
from girl-aflame :
Ah, Maddox... You can burn your files onto CD in order not to lose them. Or floppies, alternately, but CDs are much better.
from girl-aflame :
Nope, no Ben Moss's that I know of, at least not in South Carolina where I'm from. Of course I don't really shop for/receive much jewelry so maybe I'm wrong! I keep forgetting you're Canadian :-D I mostly got it from his convo with his grandmother, yeah.
from girl-aflame :
Well I meant in the pics you posted but I suppose it probably happens in the comics sometimes too, just not often because you don't often see the front full-on view of the characters. The way you did it in the facial hair desktop looks really good though, very natural as I said. Colin is hot and it's hard to make him not-hot, facial hair or no ;) and about the proposal well... *laughs* I guess it's womanly instincts, or too many years watching soap operas with my grandmother? :-D
from girl-aflame :
Oh you redid the eyes! It looks much more natural now! I'm really excited about all the new stuff coming up, new wardrobes, him proposing, the new char's, all of that. Fun times!!
from girl-aflame :
PS - the facial hair looks really good! Five o'clock shadow is yummy. My boyfriend just has a short little goatee under his bottom lip (not to the bottom of his chin, just thin) and sideburns and MY GOD he is gorgeous! I think Collin would look hot like that.. but maybe I'm biased ;) And wolverine is soooo sexy.
from girl-aflame :
Something I've always wondered is why when Colin is looking straight at you are his eyes so close to the end of the top line that forms his top eyelid? It seems they should be a little more toward the center of that line, it kind of looks like he's crossing his eyes all the time!
from girl-aflame :
Wheeeeeeeee! I'm so excited, I'm mailing you my pic right now :-D
from girl-aflame :
who won, who won??
from girl-aflame :
I thought he was doing it to apologize, not just because. Gifts just because are given sometimes just to say I love you. Around my time of the month my BF often brings me surprise chocolate. I agree that suggested or forced gifts are not really that sincere, but I don't agree that a gift as a gesture of goodwill or being sorry for something is wrong, as long as it's not like every time and in place of an apology/real remorse. You can't buy your way into people's hearts, but sometimes a gift can reinforce a message of, "To show there's no hard feelings" because gifts are still a display of sacrifice on the part of the giver, and to make a sacrifice on behalf of someone else or in a spirit of retribution is a very time honored practice.
from girl-aflame :
Damn, he's a good boyfriend to give her a present when he didn't do anything wrong!
from girl-aflame :
If you need help coding, I can give you some assistence.
from girl-aflame :
Maybe you should switch some of the older comics over to netscape so that you can make room in your gold account for future images. That way if something is Xed out at least it will be an old comic and not a new one.
from alittlehorse :
the cat will come. it needs a nice house first. :)
from girl-aflame :
Hey I think that picture of Mandy is really good!
from girl-aflame :
ooOoO I would love the prize, but I'll try not to get my hopes up. Someone may come along and get a perfect score!
from girl-aflame :
I think it's funny that our tastes in men are so similar... well it's lucky for me because you always post such gorgeous pics and droolworthy drawings! :P
from girl-aflame :
OMG that video was so crazy!! I couldn't even laugh I was so just weirded out by it, LoL. Is that real? I know his musical career went further in Europe and in Australia than it did here... (those crazy Europeans). One time I had an erotic dream about David Hasselhoff. Ew it grossed me out, I don't even find him attractive and I have NO idea why he showed up in my dream *laughs* eeek!
from girl-aflame :
LoL @ his brother calling him Spock. He shouldn't take offense to that, though. Spock is sexy! ;)
from catzi :
Hey, sorry it's been so long. It's been crazy busy for the last few months, I haven't been able to read the new comics :*(. I was able to catch up on a few so far. Still looking great. Also I just joined Deviant art and saw you have a site, too. I put you on my faves list. My nick there is Bio-Girl. I haven't got any art up, yet, but when I do it will probably mostly be photographs, maybe sketches too. Anyway, sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to stop and say/write/type Hi and keep up the great work. :)
from girl-aflame :
Hm... I would tend to think The Reason better suits Colby's situation with Mina. Assuming he'd ever want to change his philandering ways, of course.
from dulcibella :
Love your comic
from girl-aflame :
Wow that drawing your friend gave you is aweeeeesome! Sorry I didn't reply sooner I've been in a Spock induced coma for the past few days... o.O but thanks again. *swoon*
from girl-aflame :
Happy birthday Mina!! International Meat day... that's pretty weird. Sounds like a marketing ploy to me...
from girl-aflame :
:-( sorry about your cat... but sometimes love means doing something hard on ourselves that is best for the one we love, and it sounds like with all the pain he's in, this is what's best, even though it's difficult to accept.
from girl-aflame :
Hey thanks Mina - I didn't even know those things existed but Brandon's favorite food is sushi. That would be a great gift for him sometime! Look at that, your comic helped me out ;) how great is that?
from girl-aflame :
Oh I'm familiar with the phrase.. my dad used to say the same thing about the little boys' room. Kinda clever, little Vulcans room ;) and anytime about the comments... I've really enjoyed reading your comic. Glad I found ya.
from girl-aflame :
Soooo...exactly WHICH way is the little Vulcan's room, anyway? *looks around hither and thither*
from girl-aflame :
great comic today! And NOT just because colin is dressed like a vulcan. sure that's part of it but the punch line and the set up and everything - they're really wonderful too!
from girl-aflame :
the ears are simply awesome! hehe wish I could do that ;)
from girl-aflame :
Wow, that's very impressive! I made myself into an elf once with photoshop but it didn't come off nearly as well as your vulcan pics. Did you do it with photoshop or is it something you used in real life?
from girl-aflame :
Thanks for making it into a desktop! I swear, nothing says friendship like the Live Long and Prosper sign... :)
from girl-aflame :
*gasps and hyperventillates* pon far! pon far!
from girl-aflame :
Awesome comic today, very clever! :)
from girl-aflame :
OMG! I have the same weakness! Take any guy, whatever he looks like, and put him in a suit and he looks 5x better. Take a hottie and put him in a suit... WOW!
from girl-aflame :
Nice background in this comic... the sky and especially stars are beautiful
from girl-aflame :
Aw, you made an indirect reference to me! Thanks!! :) And I never noticed it before but if Colin were real, he WOULD bear some resemblance to Mr. Spock.. that picture of him is absolutely gorgeous... yum! ;)
from girl-aflame :
Wow, thanks! I feel so privileged to have this on my desktop before anyone else! It's a really cute shot, too...
from girl-aflame :
Yay for surprises :)
from girl-aflame :
Quezar looks awfully cute wearing scuba gear... I can see where this is leading with Collin falling asleep.. Dick has done the same thing to me sometimes! Uh oh...
from girl-aflame :
Eeek... all the blood lately is making me squeamish! Cute pic on your profile, btw.
from girl-aflame :
I just got back from spring break so I'm catching up with all the comics. I guess that's Collin on the extra buzz comic's page? OMG he's so freaking hot!! I have to remind myself that it's just an animation....
from girl-aflame :
well I thought today's comic was funny... i laughed out loud when I got to the final panel.
from girl-aflame :
It's Lavigne, I believe... can never decide what I think about that girl. Oh well, not really my type of music so I don't necessarily have to decide anything!
from jerkcomics :
Hey there, guess what I found - a third diaryland comic over at http://mattloaf1.diaryland.com/
from shyest :
hi! your web comic thingy was hilarious..I tried to read all of them but I remembered I have a life...no wait! Im teasing I dont have a life...Im such a dork I took the quiz you recommended...I actually went through most of them...and it took a while and Im left with these words...I love Colin.
from girl-aflame :
Awwww... Quezar looks so cute when he's sleeping! My suggestions for the grandma contest are: Grandma Rose, Grandma Matilda, Granda Mary (My own grandma's name), Grandma Clara (My great grandma's name), Grandma Louise, Grandma Ethel, Grandma Edith (My other grandma's name), or Grandma Ruth. Or maybe you could name her Grandma Colleen and say that Colin was named after her!
from girl-aflame :
Wow, today's comic is exactly what we're studying in sociology... how impression management and TV watching play a role in competitive consummerism. You should read a book called Affluenza. It's our book for this unit, and some of the stuff in it will scare you witless. But it's definitely worth a read, to know exactly what's going on in this affluent society of ours.
from catzi :
Hey, sorry it's been a while. Your comic is still great. It's kind of like a really comical soap opera comic. All the twists and turns. Anyway, just want to say hey and catch up. >^..^< catzi p.s. I'll have to email you about the ENS thing, cause I don't know what it means.
from girl-aflame :
No, I link to them to give them the credit for the place I found my image from. Do you have an account with them? That place rocks my socks.
from girl-aflame :
Hey you're moving up on the Buzz Comics list! Yay! And of course it's perfectly OK for a man to cry.
from catzi :
That's a great comic. Burn squeeze n go. >^..^<
from catzi :
"squeeze and go" lmao. I can't believe they are selling sex with squeeze pudding. How low will these marketers go??? ;) Have fun with that one, hope you make it out of the store without any trouble. >^..^<
from girl-aflame :
Maybe i'm going to look like a big idiot here but I thought apes did have opposable thumbs? I thought all primates did. I could be wrong, of course. And I probably am. Anyway it doesn't matter 'cause it's a comic, not a research paper, and saying things that aren't necessarily true is part of what comedy IS. But now you've got me curious. So do they or don't they?
from girl-aflame :
hee hee, pretty clever with the thunder. mandy looks weird without hair!!
from girl-aflame :
Hehe, all your thinking paid off, 'twas a good lead up and punchline. BTW, what's your rank on TWC? I look for you but can never find you; I dislike the way they redid the site, but at least it runs now.
from girl-aflame :
*laughs* today's comic was great.
from girl-aflame :
Sheesh I know just how she feels... just when you think you've really got something with a guy, they have to go and show you that their ears could pass as a windtunnel. Btw, window blinds IS really cool :-D
from girl-aflame :
didn't you mention in one of your posts recently a new skin program you got for windows? if you did and i'm remembering correctly, could you leave me a note and tell me the name of it?
from girl-aflame :
Hee hee, today's comic was really cute.. I didn't see the punchline coming, it made me giggle. And of course, Mina always looks hot in that shirt ;)
from catzi :
ditto on what girl-aflame said. Those are so good. >^..^<
from girl-aflame :
Wow you did those in MS Paint? That's impressive.. the horses are great. And the girl looks a lot like me!
from catzi :
Hey! Sorry I haven't left a note in a while. It's been hectic around here. Your comic is still great, of course, and congrats on the 100th comic. :) >^..^<
from girl-aflame :
I'd like to know what the message was. You can leave me a private entry in my guestbook that only I'll be able to read... curiosity is wild :)
from girl-aflame :
Hehe, Vulcans rock my socks. Mr. Spock in his younger days was a total hottie.
from girl-aflame :
Congratulatons on your 100th comic! That last frame is some of the best animation I've seen from you yet! (Yes, granted, most of it is just darkness, but the facial expression is AWESOME - and besides, it takes skill to make it clear what's going on, even in the dark)
from girl-aflame :
did she call him Colin on purpose? Or, well, on her accident, but did YOU do it on purpose?
from osubuckeyes :
Hi, Webmaster, I have a serious issue to discuss. Can you please e-mail me at [email protected]? This needs to be taken care of urgently. Nice site by the way, I looked around a bit.
from girl-aflame :
Oh yeahhh.. that guy WAS fine!
from girl-aflame :
Too bad about the trip to New Orleans - that is the most incredible city ever. I went a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with the place. It's just amazing.
from girl-aflame :
You did a great job on the lion! The ring of black around the mouth was a great touch - nice eye for detail you have!
from freakyouout :
not even close to the volume of work that you have! I do more commercial related stuff... www.geocities.com/celestialadplanet (much more to upload!)
from girl-aflame :
*giggles* Today's was really good.. it annoys me that TWC is down. I get so competitive and I always check to see your standings on those things, as though it were my comic or something. *laughs* If you ever get into the top 10 somewhere, I think I'll have an annyeurism. (badly misspelled but I'm too lazy to look it up right now :D)
from girl-aflame :
Wow, that merchandise is very impressive! Now if only I had some damn money! You're on my desktop, though :-D moral support, you know?
from girl-aflame :
Have you been able to vote at TWC? I know I left you a note about it being down.. a few days ago? A week ago? It's just still not up and I tend to think that when things go wrong in my computer experience, it's somehow my or my machine's fault.. so I wanted to see if you've been able to vote yet, because I still get the invalid site error.
from freakyouout :
ooh! a fellow cartoonist!!
from catzi :
Hey! I love the shirt you drew on Colin. "New Navy", that is hilarious. >^..^<
from girl-aflame :
The voting button doesn't seem to be working for TWC :-( it keeps saying it's an invalid site. Know anything about it?
from girl-aflame :
I miss you and your comic! But I'm all caught up now. That Mandy sounds like trouble! I love the suspense though. Thanks so much for the second shout out!! Wow, you're so sweet. I definitely am going to have to make you a killer layout now. As soon as the stupid net gets running in my dorm... grrrrr... Much love!!
from girl-aflame :
SQUEAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!! You wrote me in!! Without writing me in!! That is SOOOOO COOL!!!! Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! Oh man, this is me, with a big dopey smile on my face. Thank you Mina! *huggles*
from catzi :
I love the real life backgrounds. Especially, when you had those kids ask why cartoon people were in the mall, that was funny. Anyway, just stopped by to catch up and vote. >^..^<
from girl-aflame :
Haha, "why are there cartoon people walking in the mall?" that totally cracked me up. I love it when things "make fun of themselves".. like when the Ninja Turtles would talk to the viewing audience, remember that? well, i'm an 80s kid. Also, did you call the drink Orange Jubilus so you wouldn't get sued? *laughs* that's great.
from girl-aflame :
I like the live backgrounds, myself. Although sometimes they come off better executed than other times. Actually, I don't have paypal on my site.. I have some wishlists I've set up with places. BUT it's funny you mention that because minutes before I came here I was considering setting up pay pal for my template site. So I'm going to be checking it out sometime in the near future (next day or so), and I'll let you know what I find out. We'll learn it together!
from girl-aflame :
Hey, is the guy she bumped into going to be ber sexy zoo boy?
from girl-aflame :
haha...mina sure is a feisty one, isn't she? little does she know, that's exactly what attracts all the odd-balls!
from girl-aflame :
Measuring your birthday in stardates... that cracked me up. That guy seems like someone I'd date, though *grins* Maybe minus the stamp collection. Poor hopeless geek lover me.
from girl-aflame :
Aw, maybe one day I can make a one time only guest cameo? Haha, ok, I'll keep dreaming. Never Asked Questions is pretty funny... that reminds me, about your layout. What I have in mind is something similar to the layout that Queen of Wands has, with the characters in the background. I think having Mina up there would be good. Go check out their layout (they're #2 on TWC) and mail me any ideas you have of how you'd like it to look. We should chat soon on MSN to talk about it.
from girl-aflame :
He's awfully sexy... even for a cartoon. But yeah, I have a history of being attracted to dark haired cartoon characters. Moses from The Prince of Egypt, Jack from Samurai Jack... I'm a junkie.
from catzi :
the web address is http://www.sitemeter.com and you can sign up for a free account and get stats about the IPs that come to your site and where they were referred from. If you look at the bottom of my entry box there's a little box the kind of color under my counter. That's the site meter I have. You can choose different ones and you just past the code into your template. I hope that helps. >^..^<
from catzi :
Thanks for the comment :). I'm sorry that stupid guy is harrassing you. Have you thought about just disabling your guestbook and just using notes for a while? Also, if you don't have one, you might want to get a site meter, maybe that will help you catch the guy. You could password protect your page with your g*book link and email it to the people you know who use the g*book. Anyway, I thought I just might throw out some suggestions. Hope you figure out how to get rid of that jerk. >^..^< p.s. I love todays (8/15/03) comic. I think that's got to be my top fave so far. :)
from girl-aflame :
OoOoOo.. the intrigue, the tension, the suspense... nice one :D (btw, what did you mean about we don't get up that early? I mean, you were right, but I don't remember saying anything about staying up late recently?? Are you stalking me? *Laughs*)
from girl-aflame :
Kuzko, huh? Wonder where you got that... *grins*
from girl-aflame :
Today's comic was great! Very funny. I find life's little ironies and twists to be one of the most humorous things there is. Btw, I finished the layout with the lyrics from Drops of Jupiter. Go to http://ga-templates.diaryland.com/stardancer.html to see it, if you want to check it out :)
from girl-aflame :
My favorite was a tie between Star Trek Convention and the one about skin mites.. I liked the star trek convention mostly 'cause she looked like spock :D and the skin mites because of the style that it was done in. Not the gross out humor (that's ok with me, but it's not the reason i like it so much)... more like the way that you don't know what's actually going on until the last pannel. It's like that... zoom out style... it reminds me of the way Fox Trot does their comics a lot of the time (do you know that comic? it's excellent). It's the element of surprise, and it adds to the humor.
from girl-aflame :
LoL no wonder they're both wearing solid denim... how very clever!
from girl-aflame :
Wow, the virtual renderings of mina and collin are very impressive! What program did you use to do those?
from girl-aflame :
Sorry to hear about your image hoster, that sucks. Image hosting is SOO hard to come by these days because it uses up so much bandwidth. I really don't know of any free reliable ones.. (yes, some free ones, and some reliable ones, but rarely do the two mix). I'd kind of like to play around with the background challenge... if I get in the mood for it. (I just work by whim, you know.) If you could supply me with some pictures of Mina it would be appreciated.. since I can't draw worth crap. I have some ideas in my head, maybe we could discuss them sometime on AIM or MSN? If you have messenger names there. Lemme know, k? (Can't wait until your hoster works again so we can se the real life renderings of them.. that sounds really cool)
from girl-aflame :
Thanks for the +fav.. i like Train too. In fact I'm in the process of making a layout (for my layout site) using lyrics from Drops of Jupiter. That IS a great song! When it's posted I'll give you the link so you can check it out and tell me if you approve ;)
from catzi :
Your welcome. Actually, I didn't go to the guestbook, but I'm guessing it was the same picture I saw through the board. Why do people even waste time on gross stuff like that? Anyway, I didn't see it on your guestbook, so it's all good. >^..^<
from catzi :
Hi! I actually got here from the bettaaddicts forum not realizing it was a diaryland site. Anyway, I'm glad I clicked your banner in you sig, your comics are great. I'm going to add you to my faves list on my diary. >^..^<
from girl-aflame :
Thanks so much for your opinion on what I should submit, and your compliments. And hey, you're all the way up to 84. Woo hoo you rock!!
from girl-aflame :
How interesting, because that's the same with the dress that I nearly bought. *laughs* Perhaps it is the same dress? (well not the EXACT same dress but you know what I mean.. one of the exact same style.) Would you do me a favor, perhaps? I am looking for an opinion on which two poems to submit, out of a few that are on my diary currently. Could you tell me which two you think are the best? I am asking anyone who will help.
from girl-aflame :
That dress Lita is wearing at the Grad party looks exactly like a dress I nearly bought for my senior prom!
from girl-aflame :
Oh, no the voting link isn't working tonight!
from girl-aflame :
Oh my goodness, you jumped all the way up to 111! Way to go!
from girl-aflame :
Yayyyy for animation!
from girl-aflame :
Much better on the drawing of Mina's boyfriend, he doesn't look Asian anymore. He has sort of an "innocent" vibe about him, too.. which is really cute. Maybe Mina can corrupt him *laughs* She looks like a punk rocker grrrl.
from girl-aflame :
Haha, today's was really funny.. the skin mites were adorable. I think you should make that horizontal line by each of his eyes shorter, if he's not supposed to look Asian. Or maybe longer. *laughs* I don't know because I can't draw worth crap.. I just know that he looks a little oriental right now. But not too much. Go for a Trent from "Daria" look... oh he is sexy! Can't wait to see the animated one!
from girl-aflame :
Today's comic was really cute. I love my computer that much so it was relevant to me :D - congrats on climbing up through 150, btw!
from girl-aflame :
I like how you mixed a real image in with the animation tonight.
from girl-aflame :
Always happy to support someone's Diaryland efforts - I vote for you when I come to read them, btw.
from girl-aflame :
Today's comic was the best yet! I love Mr. Spock!!
