PLEASE come back and write more often. I adore your stuff and you ... sob ... get my hopes up and then ... sob ... dash them to the ground like a twisted heap of rusted metal abandoned in a dusty wrecking yard owned by some mulleted guy named Grunt. (Love you!) R xxx
from beckers-j :
Hey, nice to see you back! And I'm glad to hear things are better.
from grt8f84me :
YAY, YAY, YAY...You're back!!! Missed you bunches, Lady. I am so happy everything is going good for you. Best of the best in 2006!!! YAY, YOU'RE BACK!!!
from poolagirl :
Is your diary named after that old folk song? Just curious. Love your writing!
from grt8f84me :
Do disappear regularly? You're such a tease! I miss your entries...please come back soon!
from hissandtell :
I hope everything's going well for you, darling. Please come back soon - it's been such a long time, and I really do miss your smile... Love, R xxx
from beckers-j :
Where'd you go? You disappeared again!
from chaosdaily :
the power of a day... and quick healing vibes sent to your FIL
from beckers-j :
Wow, I hope FIL is going to be okay. :)
from forty-plus :
My best healing thoughts for your FIL.
from beckers-j :
Congrats on the verdict! That's great. Mmmm, apple butter. :)
from evildilara :
glad you're back! Also glad to hear the court ruled in your favor and rightfully so. I was attacked by a dog when I was five. I still have the scar on my face.
from forty-plus :
Congratulations on the win and everything that is looking up for you!
from chaosdaily :
ooo how exciting to have a bunch of money!! i know i would take a vacation....
from beckers-j :
Glad you're back. :) And I LOVE Neil Diamond. It's all my Dad's fault. ;)
from forty-plus :
Glad things are going so well!
from chaosdaily :
yea neil diamond has a lot of great songs! i heard he puts on an awesome concert...
from july28 :
Darcy!!!! Are you in there???? Seriously, hope all's well with you. xxxxx
from beckers-j :
Hey, what happened to you? You're MIA!
from forty-plus :
Happy Anniversary plus one day!
from july28 :
You must have the same anniversary as me/us....27th July? If so, belated greetings from the Highlands!
from grt8f84me :
Hey, Sister... check out vanoonoo diary. I thought it was you and that you had changed your banner!
from chaosdaily :
she used the 1/3-2/3 rule... never cut the picture in half with the horizon, either have 1/3 sky or 2/3, depending on what you want to show the most.... they are nice pics!
from beckers-j :
Those pictures freaked me out, man! Your house looks waaaaay too much like the house I grew up in! Eeek, it's eerie. Except for the front, it's almost EXACTLY the same, even down to the sloped driveway. Wierd. :) Yeah, so it's nice, by the way.
from tattoobelly :
I LOVE your house, and your grapes!
from evildilara :
That pic of OC and her friend reminds me of the pic of me and my brother I posted a few days ago!
from hissandtell :
Your photos are sublime - I want your house! It's just glorious. What else? Oh, I know - chairs. I have hundreds of them; I can't stop myself buying a new one or adopting someone else's cast-offs. I'm especially partial to antique Windsor chairs with kangaroos and waratahs carved into them, and chrome-and-kitschy-coloured-vinyl 50s numbers. Oh, and wooden benches and settles. And old church pews. And ornate wrought metal chairs. And garden seating made from wagon wheels and horseshoes. Okay, I'll stop now. Love, R xxx
from tattoobelly :
I can send it again if you don't find it. I might need you to confirm your address, because I don't seem to have the email you sent me, anymore. Oh hotmail, why must you be so difficult?
from evildilara :
I voted for Kitty twice today and I will do the same until she is Queen Chin!! My questions are: what made you choose Kitty's name? What is the biggest scare you've ever had? What food grosses you out? What is your favorite pair of shoes? How many televisions are in your house?
from biodtl :
I agree on the Depp/Wonka thing - he looks creepy and molester-ish. I'll take Gene Wilder. PS. I'm saving up for the ring...
from tattoobelly :
Did you get the email I sent you? I'm concerned it may have gone astray.
from beckers-j :
I voted! Go, Aimee (or Kitty)!
from almostnormal :
My vote has been cast! (for you and Aimee, obviously *grin*)
from invisibledon :
i just voted for your puppy good luck you two.
from biodtl :
hey - I'm glad you found me , too, because I love finding new awesome journals to read. I read your Rove one and crcked up because I was bitching about the same thing that day. Down with Dumbya!
from chaosdaily :
i know when i worked in a hosp i heard people say that all the time... if i were you, i would make sure to tell them, and then say "if you dont get it on the first try, you will have to get someone else or i will leave" or else maybe your doc can do something? ill bet i could hit your vein first try ;-) hehe
from evildilara :
Yay for Kitty's nomination! I hope she wins chin of the month! As for Rockstar INXS I am in love with that show too. My favorite people are JD and Jordis. If Jordis made a CD right now I would go out and buy it, her voice is amazing and unique and rad.
from grt8f84me :
OOoh...That George sure know how to time it, huh? I wonder what Michael(?) said about Steve's family? Man, we were glued to the TV, especially when Michael kept calling Steve a f*****g midget! I was waiting for Steve to charge his ass!
from chaosdaily :
my husb and i agree on at least one thing: if you need a loan to buy jewelry, you dont need the jewelry.
from evildilara :
I am not a Harry Potter reader either but people keep telling me I MUST read them!
from chaosdaily :
oh i know, i went there first.. i read from teh bottom up today ;-) gotta do something different now and then!
from chaosdaily :
i finished the da vinci code a couple of weeks ago. its still whole cause my cats didnt like it. haha. i believe the bible has some truth to it, but for so long its been passed by word of mouth, and the translating had to take its toll on the original meaning and events described. i havent read the bible, maybe that should be my next book. i read 3 others that dan brown wrote, they all took place in the space of one day, and all had that twist at the end.... i can tell you the end of the book if you want hehehhee
from almostnormal :
You lucky girl! My puppies have eaten two books in their lifetime...both library books, I was so ashamed when I told the library my dogs ate my books (sounded too close to the dog ate my homework) - I haven't read the D@vinci Code yet, either...so guess this makes me the last person, *sigh*.
from breathtaken1 :
I have not read Da Vinci Code yet, but I just read his first book, Angels and Demons, which is quite probably the best book I have ever read, and from all accounts, the same type book as Da Vinci Code, which is next on my TO READ list.
from fightn4life :
Now I am really depressed, I am the last one standing. I haven't read Da Vinci Code, I am such a loser. That's ok, gives me a great excuse to go to the book store and buy more books that I will read. All of them! Maybe all at once. Loved your diary. Sandyz
from bettyalready :
HAHA, she ate the spine off of it??? She looks so...I don't know...Innocent.
from bettyalready :
Thanks for the comment. I know I can't retract my email because it would be untrue and would be lying...I can't do that. I just am trying to figure out if I should say anything. I don't think it's wise. I've done all I can but can't do anymore, unless she really wants help. Ugh. Thanks again!!
from chaosdaily :
the round thingy at taco bell is the crunchwrap supreme and it is ohhhh so good. dang. now i want one....
from boilermaker4 :
Thanks for all of your support! And congrats on selling your home, I hope it will be easier for you than for me when we bought our house. (I just love your barns!) It's weird because it seems like we have a few things in common....Anyway, thanks again for your kind words.
from bluemeany :
Hey, thanks for adding me! And, this may come as a shock from a 22-year-old, but ... I like John Denver, too! I have been known to wake my husband in the mornaing with a loud, monotone version of "Annie's Song." Which makes him love me more. Yeeeah.
from grt8f84me :
Having a contractor in the family means our houses, etc., are always waiting to be finished. You should see my kitchen! I have beautiful new sheetrock on the ceiling (since last year), but the walls are half torn, and no where near being replaced. Ugh! BTW, I would love to try your flavored coffee syrups...vanilla sounds yummy!
from beckers-j :
I, too, have always been confounded by the fitted sheet! And yet, when you first buy them, they are folded so perfectly!
from chaosdaily :
yea theres an old saying around here about the cobblers kids always going barefoot... its so old i dont remember exactly how it goes!
from evildilara :
how do you make your own flavored syrups? Hmm.
from evildilara :
I see you added me as a favorite...I just started reading you this afternoon and I'm hooked!
from july28 :
I am that stage with my teeth too, so sympathise greatly...also thank you for thinking of me yesterday, and I hope you've heard from your little sister. Take care! xxxxx
from beckers-j :
That is so freakin' funny. I think we must have been watching the same episode of "Dukes of Hazzard" because I just wrote about it in my diary, too. :) Coy and Vance? Gimme a break!
from grt8f84me :
OMG...I, too, was disappointed with the results on Dancing with Stars! He was cheated, I tell ya! And I so wanted Richard and his partner to win on Beauty and the Geek. He just cracks me up with his antics. I glad you had a wonderful weekend! Big Brother starts tonight!!!!!
from tattoobelly :
I'll be glad to give you what information I can. Email me and tell me where to email you with the goods -- [email protected]
from dinahsoar :
I love it! That's what first marriages are for!
from hissandtell :
Right, that's it. As soon as the search engines have time to pick you up, I'll be googling you for "dildo diaryland tom wopat hubba hubba lubricants 'it glided right in!'" Love your work, darling! Smooches, R xxx
from dinahsoar :
Hi! I didn't mean it as a put down ... I was just in awe. Rock on!
from dinahsoar :
THAT is your idea of a bad weekend? Wow! I don't know where you live, but here in L.A., that would be considered an amazing dream weekend! Crunchy fries, dribbly ice cream & ecstatic marital sex - what is missing from this picture?
from chaosdaily :
it rained all morning on the 4th here, and was horribly humid the rest of the day, but it was cooler. ill take 70s over 90s any day!
from awittykitty :
I like your five list. Your auto racing addition made me think of televised golf. Woo. Now that's pretty exciting to watch too. :-)
from invisibledon :
yeah my family life is like a bad springer episode. Other things are so so - but I keep pushing along and try to keep my head above water. Happy 4th
from beckers-j :
Niiice. Great rock star name. I'm also partial to "Nip Screwdriver" for some reason. :)
from beckers-j :
Of course you can steal it!
from grt8f84me :
Wanna borrow my icepick? I got a shovel, too! Seriously, though...you and yours are in my prayers, Sister. Yes...I pray! ;0P Tell OC to keep her head up...she's lucky to have you on her side.
from beckers-j :
Thanks!
from beckers-j :
Wow, that 18GF shit is crazy! I can't even imagine dealing with that. How horrifying! OC has my deepest sympathies.
from invisibledon :
I may be confussed but your ex is dating someone only a year older than his daughter? If I'm reading that correctly - OMG - sorry for you and more so for your daughter I can imagine what kind of hell that must be like
from chaosdaily :
where do you live? if the bakery company delivers that far, you are welcome to use them!
from dinahsoar :
Wow! Somehow just fell into your fabulous diary! We have so much in common, I'm convinced we went to different schools together. First off, I was taken with your listing Annie Hall as a favorite film (also mine). And I, too, love John Irving. I got to see him at the screening of Cider House Rules & he was so warm & humble & smart & funny. And THEN I read that you got the first season of Gilmore Girls for your birthday. Major score! I have followed Rory & Lorelei since they first hit the screen. In sticky situtions, I find myself asking "What would Lorelei do?". And one year, I fashioned my entire wardrobe around Lorelei's little blouse/vest thingie. Thanks for all the fun (love your writing style, too)!
from almostnormal :
do a google search for "meta tags" - those are what's supposed to help you be more searchable on the web. also, I'd love the link to your website, but you don't know me from anything so if you don't want to, that's fine. my email is jenny decki at comcast dot net (without the spaces of course! I'm paranoid about privacy myself)
from invisibledon :
yeah I don't talk to him a lot as it is but every time it's like that - I feel much better when I'm not talking to him -- Thanks for the comment too about stunt-boy - I'm a bit biased but he is really one of the best kids in the world.
from invisibledon :
nope I never have to build up my family I tone them down very often because I only put what people can bear to swallow - when I told this particular brother that my ex was leaving me is response was well I can see why your a miserable fucking sonuvabitch. Nice family huh. Anyway how are things with you?
from invisibledon :
the picture of your dog on the rock is pretty cool - I imagine if the dog could talk he would say " Yeah it's my rock wanna make sumthin' of it" of course i could be wrong (6-17-05)
from july28 :
It's really strange to read on diaryland about somebody GETTING a good sum of money to play with! xxxxxx
from goldieknox03 :
Thanks for the kind note. IT does hurt, and i miss her alot. Oh and i was reading your diary the other day, sorry i didnt commment earlier, but i agree with you, Id rather get a good letter anyday. Cute cards and scented lotions mean nothing at all with out a sweet note along with them. So happy early bday! I hope it goes great!
from beckers-j :
Thanks! If the veggie staring aunt starts to get on my nerves, you might hear from me. :)
from grt8f84me :
I know...must be something in the air. I just like one big goof! Hope you have a great day!
from beckers-j :
Date night after two weeks without sex, huh? I should try that. I do miss that feeling. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
from chaosdaily :

from july28 :

from july28 :
The doll cake your Mom made for you guys as children sounds fabulous - I'm going to give it a go for my birthday this year with a Barbie right there in the centre! xxxx
from chaosdaily :
oh that IS food for thought... lets see... paternal grandfather.. fried chicken... and i remember the neapolitan, i hated it! the thought of 3 flavors together... ewwww i always just eat the chocolate. ghirardelli sells a sweet cocoa powder that is awesome on just about any flavor of ice cream, thats my favorite. oh but then there is dairy queens cocoa fudge topping that is heavenly! hmmm i could go for a bowl....
from forty-plus :
OC is beautiful!
from grt8f84me :
Hey, Sister... Thanks! (((waving back)))
from grt8f84me :
Hey, Darcy... Read some of your previous entries...and...Yeah...Ewwwww! Poor little-chickie...doesn't know any better, does she? Wow...that's all I can say. BTW...beautiful daughter you have there.
from chaosdaily :
i used to have a dog, and the squirrels would tease her... they would wait until she got close to them, and then jump up into the tree. she came very close to catching one once....
from forty-plus :
Loved the photos!
from invisibledon :
thanks for adding me to your favorite list and the super awesome comment. I'll be checking out your page. Have a great day, ciao - invisible don 6-6-05

I would also like to thank you for marking me as a favorite diary. I have had a chance to read some of your entries, and I, too, would like to extend my condolences for your loss. Keep your head up...you will be in my prayers tonight.
from goldieknox03 :
sorry to hear about the pregnancy.
from chaosdaily :
gee i pretty much agree with you on being married and living alone. and since i live in wisconsin, i can also agree with you on that. there isnt a whole lot going on here, but the rural life can be nice if you are into that. and most of the people where i live are catholic farmers.. i even work with a few..... see my entry tonight for what we do around cowtown for excitement!! hehe
from july28 :
So sad about your pregnancy, Darcy. Hope you can take it easy for a while. xxxx
from forty-plus :
I am sorry to hear of your miscarriage.
from july28 :
your wildlife sounds awesome! I've been looking around the house for an old 'dream interpretation' book I had, but I think my eldest has taken it to his place. Been thinking about the dream all day, it was so lucid. Take care, enjoy the weekend! xxx
from forty-plus :
Thank you for adding me and for your words of comfort.
from chaosdaily :
yea id much rather bake a cake...
from chaosdaily :
i know what you mean. my maternal grandfather ran a butcher shop in his younger days, and for a few years i did all the meat cutting at the store. funny how some things just seem to work that way....
from chaosdaily :
yum... try dipping half the macaroon in chocolate!
from july28 :
Must be great to be so TALL!!!!!
from july28 :
You can make macaroons and not eat them? Wow!!! Hope your daughter is on the mend xxx
from chaosdaily :
thanks for adding me! i look forward to more posts from you!
from hissandtell :
Ha - that sexual misconduct explanation was hilarious. For some reason I'm reminded of the old line, "She was 16, but she LOOKED like she was 12." (And I'm glad you didn't join Mensa, darling. I'm still trying to work out what they actually *do* - other than come up with anagrams for "Jeremy Irons" like in that "Simpsons" episode...) Auf wiedersehen, liebchen! Love, R xxx
from sunnflower :
Thanks for adding Suburban Island to your Diaryland favorites list. I am looking forward to reading more of your diary!
from july28 :
10 days out of the month I can't stand to even *look* at my husband , so you're not alone... Anyhow , Your diary is going well! take care xxxx
from hissandtell :
Hi - I just about fell over with excitement to see you've added me, darling! I'm working my way through your entries now - oh, what I'd give to live in the mountains. You know, I try to remember to watch Rachel each morning - although I dislike her whiny little voice and giggles, I find her strangely compelling (I think it's the funky vintage kitchen), and I actually discovered yesterday that her book is on the best-seller list here. Oh, and I adore your story about Henry. People always try to give me roosters, too (they know I'm a sucker for a cast-off animal of any persuasion) - but one can only have so many. We had one named BigBoy who was a real character, and followed my husband everywhere. I could always imagine him saying, "Come on J, let's go the pub and pick up chicks!" Anyway, I'm looking forward to visiting again soon. Thanks for reading me and for the kind profile comment. Love, R xxx
from july28 :
Thanks for adding me 'back' in your faves! Looking forward to reading more (especially about Henry!) xxxxx
from igcaramia :
Hi! Thanks for marking me as a favorite. I didn't realize people were actually reading/interested in my blog. I just type away as some sort of self-theraputic ritual or something. Anyways, JD rocks! I cried when he died and my friends made fun of me. *sigh* ~Caramia
