from slightly-off :
what book did you end up starting?
from slightly-off :
oh yes, we have crumble! i thought that's what you meant but then i thought, 'she doesn't seem to be having it with any apple, or apricot, or rhubarb etc. is it the same thing?' still crumbly i suppose. we have this 'outback' style spice called lemon myrtle. it goes very well with cinnamon in sweet crumble. with apples and tart plum filling. mmm....
from slightly-off :
what is sweet crumble? love,
from slightly-off :
It is nice that you are home and writing some. Hello and Christmas greetings and such!
from slightly-off :
other people like Lost! this can only be a good thing.
from exitfish :
thank you, and happy new year to you too.
from slightly-off :
where's this magic stars site? i'm addicted to random, unofficial guidance.
from dullthud :
I shall be Captain Anastrophic. Captain Anastrophic shall I be.
from dullthud :
Stitch? Spent yesterday looking at home branding and scarification techniques, but yeah, I suppose on the shirt would work too. Must curb these tribal urges before it all gets out of hand.
from tele--vision :
that quiz... yeah, ow. it pretty much got me exactly right in all of the most depressing areas. damn you, color picking quiz!
from dullthud :
Or maybe I could retain it as a mark of shame. A big scarlet A on my chest, advertising my guilt as I try to regain my place in society through repentance and good deeds.
from dullthud :
It's an occupational hazard. And absent is an awfully negative term, don't you think? As a long-standing member of the presence-impaired community I prefer to be seen as "differently-there". Now I am conventionally here, and it is nice to read you.
from slightly-off :
I'd like to see a battle between a giant crab and a lion. Apparently Hercules crushed my poor cancerian shell in some sort of epic battle so if you could somehow learn how to wield a large axe or something with your paws, then you'd be well on your way to winning the 'star wars'...I just said star wars. This hurts.
from slightly-off :
When's your birthday?
from slightly-off :
I like it how everything that goes on over where you have parties and go to weddings and dream anxiously all evening is akin to how everything goes on over here where we have parties and go to weddings and dream anxiously all evening. Nearly a perfect fit. Last night I got driven home from a party where some old friends and I ate these weird strawberry cream filled biscuits with pandas on them for instance, and it was sort of misty. But that's of little relevance. I just like how you write the way your life runs along. You make it sound so familiar. It'd be nice to wear a space suit to a wedding. Have nice day/night anyways. Here in Brisbane it's 11:11pm. Crazy times...
from patw-21 :
thanks, his face is nice :P
from patw-21 :
love it
from exitfish :
i really hope you feel better soon. if it makes you feel any better at all, you'll be hearing from me soon. i promise. i'll tell you more then...
from tele--vision :
I know all about migrating vowels! (PBS. Is there anything it can't do?)
from dearly :
no one leaves me notes, anymore.
from tele--vision :
you are using a strange font. it looks like times new roman to me...
from slightly-off :
I stumbled across you quite by accident. It was nice. Felt like a little piece of home or something...familiar flow of thoughts and such. I don't know. Hi!
from exitfish :
you always arrive just in time. it won't be long now til i can tell you just how glad i am.
from exitfish :
yes, for the near future / she ought to, if she were to / send anything, if something / to the address in saline / i think she has it...
from exitfish :
there's been a whole lot that i've been trying to say, but i've been having some trouble getting it right. don't know why. but whatever you want to call it, every time i see or hear or feel something beautiful, i think of you.
from reductio :
But I'm not sure I want to do all those things. If you're thinking combos though, electrician/novelist is pretty tempting.
from exitfish :
i really need to learn to fight to get the things that i want, to fight the feeling of futility. now, to find out who you are, or should be, this is where to go: http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/leonardo/thinker_quiz/
from reductio :
Thank you, dearly. (That sounds odd.)
from tele--vision :
hey, thanks. you ain't so bad yourself.
from exitfish :
i think maybe that lady at the post office must have had something sinister in mind when she told you it would be delivered on friday. not only was friday a miss, but saturday, too. this isn't fair..!..
from exitfish :
happy valentine's day...
from exitfish :
sometimes silence can seem oppressive... and it's hard to read your expression. i wish i could hear you now, right now, and i wish you could hear me. but it won't be much longer.
from exitfish :
happy new year....... you should be hearing me soon. a puzzler(?) --it might be the first time you'll be hearing me at the same time i'm talking to you.
from palinode :
Patent pending... I'll be your intellectual property for the time being.
from palinode :
I'm abstracted? You may be right. But what am I abstracted from? Am I from concentrate?
from teluble :
you have starlings: http://birds.cornell.edu/BOW/EURSTA/
from palinode :
Thanks for the note. It's great to receive a kind word out of the blue. To repay your consideration, I will spend my entire Friday afternoon pretending to work but actually reading your weblog.
from teluble :
thank you. your writing is so calming and wistful. it's almost like a bedtime novel that you wish someone would read to you, but without all the characters.
from exitfish :
just when i'm sure you won't be able to do it, you make me smile again. i even suppress delighted giggles. how nice......
from exitfish :
i like you.
from exitfish :
looking out the window today i saw a ballcap whip past in the wind. a couple of beats later i saw a guy run past. real life comedy. comment allez-vous?
from comparable :
i enojoy your diary. i do indeed.
from exitfish :
imagine that i've just brought you a nice cup of tea.
from exitfish :
right. deal. send an email straight away and i'll send you one back.
from exitfish :
i'll send you a tape if you send me a tape
from dullthud :
If it's a friend-of-a-friend^n party, I retain my air of mystery by getting people to introduce me to the host with a false name, and then a different one an hour later. Works a treat.
from exitfish :
you've made me smile. love m.
from dullthud :
That's the plan. Might need to put a bit more thought into it, sure, but I don't see any major problems. Take some warm clothes, a cello and a water distillation unit. You can eat penguins, right?
