Internship?
from raven72d :
Are you still out there?
from raven72d :
How have you been?
from drew1986 :
Maybe a bit soon, but it doesn't make it any less amusing. ....I'm going to hell.
from thecrankyone :
woa!! I never realized you were that close to the shooting. The truth is the real reason may have died with him, when he shot himself. There is no good reason... (((hugs)))
from drew1986 :
Apparently being able to tell the size of imaginary circles is of utmost importance. He's just mad that not everyone forces themselves to learn useless stuff like calculus. That's for engineers and stuff, not psychologists. P.S. I don't think I've ever really told you how much I enjoy reading your thoughts. You rock!
from barelyspoken :
hey, i don't settle in fast or make friends easily either... i guess it's just something we can't do. sucks.
from raven72d :
I have no love life, but I will agonize over "cod" v. "cord" all night.
from drew1986 :
I know exactly how you feel about Valentine's Day and your love life. I feel exactly the same way. So, here's a toast to you from me: May Cupid go fuck himself. Cheers. -Drew
from drew1986 :
The idea of Stephen Harper as Prime Minister makes me want to pack my bags and move to Cuba. Honest to God, CUBA. A fundamentalist Christian should not be in a position to make decisions about the legality of abortion, gay marriage, or anything that has to do with the rights of people who don't believe in what he believes in. You shouldn't be able to tell a gay athiest that he can't get married because God thinks it's a sin. News flash, the athiest doesn't care. Martin may be inept and a crook, but at least he's not a spooky motherfucker like Harper. I'm voting NDP. Jack Layton is well spoken and is unabashedly bald. I like that.
from drew1986 :
The citizens of Barrie should burn down Toronto. Heh. The Hip fucking rock.
from thecrankyone :
I've only been to two provinces (Sask and Manitoba) and even I know exactly where Montreal is.. He must have flunked geography..
from raven72d :
Guys tend to feel uncomfortable not paying, because they take that as a sign that it's not a "date"...that the girl has no romantic inclinations...
from raven72d :
Yay, McGill! I hope that goes brilliantly for you. But in Montreal...beware the Evil Esquimaux!
from raven72d :
Ahhh... omens and portents!
from raven72d :
Ummm... possibly edging you to just give up and prefer girls?
from raven72d :
Aha! Yes, I do owe you the story. E-mail me and I'll send you the long version. I take the Cialis spam as a kind of message (or threat) from the gods about my putative performance.
from raven72d :
Remind me to tell you about the Kamakura Ghost.
from raven72d :
First-contact stories: my favorite-- James White, "All Judgment Fled"...
from raven72d :
Every ghost should have a puppy-- probably a beagle or a small Westie.
from raven72d :
Congrats on the GRE!
from raven72d :
ahem: don't forget the letters/e-mail.
from raven72d :
I try to have a sense of appreciation for expertise and tradition.
from raven72d :
tell me about the places you've sailed, and the kinds of boats, and the skills you've learned...and where the fog banks lead...
from raven72d :
don't forget the e-mail!! and...tell me more about this game...and about your nautical experiences.
from raven72d :
Drop me an e-mail and I'll send you an actual fountain-pen letter.
from raven72d :
Happy 2005, girl! And it's a cool scarf... I'm getting one in blue/bronze, too...
from raven72d :
Merry Christmas, beautiful!
from raven72d :
Wuff! I so like being Eduardo...
from raven72d :
People always hear my first name and think it's...well...anything other than what it is. I spend half my life *explaining* my first name.
from raven72d :
I hope both grad school and JET work out for you.
from raven72d :
Write me about your stories...
from raven72d :
I'd love to see Cape Breton. And I'd really love to do Montreal to Vancouver by train. Are you still hoping to be in Japan?
from raven72d :
Tell me about your favorite train journeys...
from raven72d :
Train trips are just wonderfully romantic in all senses of the term. You should do a train trip to Vancouver... And you should send me postcards (purple ink)...
from raven72d :
When I worked at a bookstore while in grad school, we had French, German, Spanish, and Latin "Little Prince" editions.
from raven72d :
I'll have to try it in French and German both.
from boogityx2 :
Welcome to the Danny Michel diaryring!
from kellipotamus :
ran across your diary, found it entertaining. (oh, and the added kicker: The Tragically Hip, be still my heart...) savvy?
from raven72d :
Write soon...
from raven72d :
Oh! Oh! Oh! Notebook! Notebook! You'll have to send me a notebook or two!! And you can build yourself a CIM-notebook fort and garrison it with stufflings...
from raven72d :
Well, then. You'll have to write me on office stationery!
from raven72d :
Good luck at the new job... And do stay in touch!
from raven72d :
Nothing is scarier than being out of school. I did grad school *and* law school just to avoid being out of school and having to worry about Daily Life.
from paintedgray :
fire alarms suck. no one really understands the importance of sleep anymore! snarl!! like your writing.
from raven72d :
I'm always terrified that if I'm seen to fail I won't get any more chances, get any slack cut, get any goodis or freebies ever again... And when will you e-mail me/send letters?
from raschel :
Welcome to the Ocean-Diaryring. Thanks for joining!
from raven72d :
Tell them anyway. Write me about it, even. Things in books are as important as quotidian things... When I look out at the world I see scenes from books and films; characters from books are my closest (non-stuffling) friends.
from raven72d :
A hockey stick? Ouch!
from raven72d :
I love the 20 Things list.
from raven72d :
It's a fun site. Let me know what you find there.
from raven72d :
I've never been skiing, but I love the Happy Bunny!
from raven72d :
Wuff! I like the idea of Pluto the Dog *being* Lord of the Underworld.
from piecesof8 :
Hi there, this is Pieces of Eight, a new fanlisting for avid Pirates of the Caribbean fans. Would you care to join? Please check it out!
from raven72d :
Euchre always makes me think of ochre-- thus, the "yellowish card game".
from raven72d :
Ever since Patrick on SpongeBob, I can't be afraid of starfish. Though I was once bitten (badly!) by a swan...
from raven72d :
marmosets are scary... look 'em up.
from raven72d :
I hope the JET thing works out!
from blakdahlia :
Girl... I was Elizabeth Swann... you were drrr.. I never remember his characters name. Oh well. I wish I could be WITH Orlando Bloom. He's sooo hot! I'm going to buy the DVD soon. Maybe. Dunno. :)
from raven72d :
Are you afraid of marmosets?
from raven72d :
I like saying "Ayd-*var*-do" in a thick fake accent. It makes me want two-tone shoes...like Brak's Dad.
from raven72d :
Well, you *could* call me Eduardo. Not that it's my name, but it's just a cool thing to be called.
from raven72d :
No one calls me "prof"... It's "Dr. ---" or just "sir"... Doctor or dottore I like, but it's somehow disheartening when attractive co-eds call me "sir".. Will Ferguson's "Hokkaido Hitchhiker Blues" is brilliant, by the way.
from blakdahlia :
Hmm... the SMGB page is being a butt... what's up chicka? Hmm. I think I have made an enemy. But that's okay. He's mean to me all the time. Anyway, how are things going? I think, in the US, we only use Prof. in writing. I don't say it, but I do write it. Yeah... Aloha!
from wood-elf :
hey, fellow carleton person here...were you at Oli's party for halloween? I think I saw you being escorted out by the security woman...:)
from raven72d :
Oh, dear God... The article about writers was so...dead on. And, yes, I do sit and create characters and their backstories in my head all day long...
from raven72d :
Tell me all about Anne Bishop... In the early 80s there was the Great Karo Syrup Debate among f/x types-- how *dark* to make movie blood (i.e, how much Karo syrup to add). Eastwood's people wanted *dark*, the horror movie people wanted bright red...
from raven72d :
The JET thing is wonderful!!
from raven72d :
Come by more often!
from raven72d :
I'll be reading!
from raven72d :
I'm glad you're still here...
from laurelote :
Hi! Thanks for joining my (Captain) Jack Sparrow diaryring, mate! :-D
from raven72d :
Welcome back... I've missed you.
from raven72d :
Don't vanish!
from raven72d :
It's good to know that you're Linus.
from raven72d :
Zakat and Hajj I remembered, but not the others... I prefer Sapir-Whorf to Chomsky. (He's not someone I like on a great many levels) But I want to learn Persian...and Turkish. Japanese first, though. And I want to learn how to be majorly seductive in Volapuk.
from raven72d :
It must mean something that I have a major crush on Kim Possible... It's the bare-tummy shirts and the looks-good-in-black thing. I'm not...irrational, though I can be a-rational.
from raven72d :
I can only say that I'd always have a major crush on a girl who's Hell's librarian!
from wood-elf :
thank you delta for the entry in my guestmap, i appreciate it a lot! :-) you rock... Wood-elf
from raven72d :
e-mail me sometime...
from raven72d :
I love small, quirky bookstores!
from raven72d :
Independent bookstores are always best...
from blakdahlia :
Hey girl... unfortunately I didn't get your email... :( but it also depends on when you sent it. So it might take a while... but I'll be looking for it! ^_^ Talk to you later! Take care!
from raven72d :
I try. There's always room for reasonable people to disagree. But any argument should be based on some kind of serious information. And you can't argue politics without knowing history.
from raven72d :
bergamot and vetiver... what wonderful words to use!
from raven72d :
I'll never be a Grown Up. But I will be vur' pettable.
from blakdahlia :
Hey girl! How are things between you and Justin? Things are okay... hehe... I love Mudslides. I'm finally 21! Yay! Anyway, I'll talk to you later. Have a good time and take care.
from raven72d :
Thanks for coming by... I'll look forward to your list!
from raven72d :
Very lovely diary, girl...
from blakdahlia :
In response to your note, yeah. Thank you. I feel better now. If they are offended, then, that is their own fault for reading it! I just hate the fact that they don't tell me that they do. What kills me that it is more than one person that I know reads this. I'm pretty sure of it. *sigh* Oh well. Not going to worry about it. HOpe things work out! ^_^
from blakdahlia :
I watch That 70's Show occassionally, so I must have missed that episode. :) Sorry! :) I hope things are going a lot better compared to yesterday's entry. :( Stick through it, you will make it. :) I understand how you feel though, I really do. Hmm...inspiration for another journal entry... Well, anyhow, take care!
from blakdahlia :
New mouse, eh? Hehe...sounds really great! It sounds like something that I would need. I'm in a friend's room right now, hanging out, watching That 70's Show. Do you guys get that up in Canada? It is pretty funny... right now, they are all high... hehe... they are sooo funny! But anyway, I'm happy that you got a mouse that actually works. :) Take care! Have fun! hehe... ^_^
from blakdahlia :
Girl, I hope you are having a good holiday, and that you are feeling better (hopefully!). If not, it will get better soon. I'm burned out, washed out, sexually frustrated, and about to go absolutely nuts. But other than that, I am perfectly fine and sane. :) I just wanted to leave a note for you, because it looked as if your notes page were getting a bit lonely. :) Well, I am here to brighten your day! Take care and hope everything works out. :) *gives you a shaka* (it's like a wave...a Hawaiian thing...:) )
from blakdahlia :
I'm sorry about your situation, girl! That totally sucks! What kind of holiday are you on? I wish we were having a holiday...totally sucks that we don't...Even thought tomorrow is President's day. Oh well. I hope you feel better soon! Take lots of Vit C, drink lots of water and orange juice (try some Echinacea tea, good stuff!). Get Well Soon!
from blakdahlia :
I feel weird being the only one who has left you a note so many days in a row, but do you have a messenger service of some kind? The ones I have are listed on the website. I really would like to chat with you sometime. :) Have a nice day.
from blakdahlia :
I finally own the NEVERENDING STORY!!!!!! YAY! But my damn DVD player on my comp is acting up...so I have not been able to see it! I am being deprived! It is a conspiracy, I tell you! Canada sounds like the US right now...at least TN anyway...oi...will it never end??
from blakdahlia :
blah...sleep is overrated...How's things in Canada? Not too stressful eh? Life is crazy, people are crazy, friendships are crazy, but that is what we are here for.
from blakdahlia :
oiye...another day...email me sometime, so we can chat some. :) Have good one!
from blakdahlia :
Browsing as a new member of Diaryland, and I came across yours, and I've been enthralled with your story. We have a few things in common, and I took a couple of your funny quizes (love em!) and we had some same results (I too, am Frodo Baggins, he's adorable!), but I'm 81% Freak...that worries me a tad...oh well. Check out my profile if you like, leave a message. I'd like to chat more with someone I feel...is like me in a way. :) Please don't hate me because I am an American, though (The whole Bush war thing...blah!) :) Have a good day, and keep up the good work! Hang in there...
from made-again :
Welcome to the-hip ring! Hey, I noticed you have Real Genius as one of your favorites...."Kent, this is God."
from wood-elf :
Hello delta, just wanted to say that your diary is great and that I enjoy reading it. I added you to my fave list, keep up the great work! :-)
from sherpahigh :
I haven't bought tickets yet! *LOL* Tomorrow if I remember... isn't really in my budget... but then again i am not good with sticking to my numbers so... we'll see. I am excited for you... *tehehe*
from littlebirdie :
hey, there! I have the sneaky suspicion we live in the same city!
from pixie521 :
i'm glad you enjoy my diary! thanks for surfing in! :)
from cairli :
Woohoo!!! First person to give you a note! ;) I love that fame. In any case - SNOW?!?!?!? Get rid of that crap!!!! NOW! I refuse to get any snow here! Sick sick sick of snow! Today, we had a bit of a drizzle, but that's it! No more snow for the rest of the year, thank you very much! Think warm thoughts and melt all that icky stuff....
