I remember borrowing your camera and making that movie really clearly. We stole a couch cushion from someone's yard and were told to turn the camera off in a mall, right? Wow. Things like that are so difficult. When will I take his number out of my cell phone and his scene name off my buddy list? I do have some pictures of you from that night I was visiting Iowa and we all went to Perkins. The flash was terrible in my picture of you and Steve, your faces are both really light (ghostlike). There is a funny picture of that Eric fellow putting a creamer packet on your head. I could mail you copies if you're interested. Boys do suck.

seth and my anniversary is on the 30th, so we always just pretend march 1 or march 2 (depending on if it's a leap year) is the Feb. 30th. It's rather fun.

A long time ago you gave me a satellite dish covered with shy signatures and quotes from friends of mine. I adore it still. I have read your journal since I first discovered Dland, way back after moved to Minneapolis from Iowa.
You posted songs that you used for a cassette tape mix years ago on your diary. I used this list to discover my taste in music. Every band on it that was once so foreign to me is not part of my daily vocabulary (Beulah, Wilco, At the Drive-In, Jets to Brazil and Apples in Stereo are the ones I remember finding through that list.)
You are in my pictures of Steve. The pictures that make me cry when I accidently flip past them in my photo albums. Your entry about the events that led up to his death is the closest thing to closure that I will ever find.
I am doing well, probably better than ever. I am so happy that you found someone who has been there all along for you. You deserve to be loved by a boy like that more than anyone.

hey im just a random diaryland user who stumbled on your diary from favorites links but i read that thing about this dan guy and that really really sucks. i would say "at least he's being honest with you" but if he has known this for a long time and didnt tell you...then he didnt care enough and shoudn't be worth getting upset over. but we cant help that, we all still get upset. well anyway good luck. i like your writing style. i'll keep reading.

it is so nice how i can relate to so much of what you say. i feel as if this is what i will be like when i go to college: "i'm leaving all i know behind. i'm leaving only dusty outlines in place of this place i've loved to pieces." and i really, really, really love reading what you have to say. that a good week of sleep, a ringing phone and activities would be nice; to write things that are happy when you are shutting down and wanting to say I NEED YOU KNOW but not because its not the "normal" happy you. wanting to say things you can't because you might offend others and the highschool trauma continues and whirs and buzzes and you are just tired of it all. but you keep going because you want to see what you can do with yourself, live for learning, live for the experiences and everything... and to be as cliche as possible "it will all be worth it in the end" and to live your life your way and enjoy it because then when you are older you can look back and enjoy it all over again. that you were true to who you are and all those cliched (true) ideas.
