I see your point about people wanting to get out of high school and saying that college is going to set them free. Depending on the degree that you're willing to work, college is not this wonderful freedom. Obligations here are pretty subjective though. You're only obligated if you want to be. People who get here and feel like "hey it's party time" don't last long. They get lost in the shuffle.
