ahhh you are sooo lucky. i still have 2 and a 1/2 <b>WEEKS</b> of school left. :| i hate it!! we get out soo late compared to like the entire world. it's so crap. like 1/2 of summer is already gone before we even get out(not that it's been nice here anyway, it's rained like all week) but it still sucks. our last day of school is the 21st, eventhough nobody ever goes cuz it's only like 2 hours and the teachers just make you help them clean their rooms. blah. i still have like a week and a half before finals. i'm not looking forward to all the crap the teachers are going to try and cram into it. :| ick. lol. i'm sooo ready for it to be summer. i have such bad senioritis already, eventhough i'm a sophmore. i'm so sick of school and all the crap. hm this comment has a lot more complaining in it than i intended.lol. i guess i'll just stop typing now before i sound even more pathetic.lol. ttyl!

omg wow. i so want to go to your school now.lol. so at mine, there's probably close to like 40 or 50 people in the entire school(9th-12th grade) that DON'T do drugs or drink. lol it's that bad here. there's actually like those nasty parties where people go and get wasted and then do 'it' with random people. it's sooo messed up!! even the people that are on sports teams do it, eventhough they hafta sign this contract saying they wont, yada yada yada. it's pretty much just rediculous. and like no adults will believe that it's actually as bad as it is. they insist that less than half the school does drugs/drinks and they like wont listen when EVERYONE is like no you're totally wrong it's less than half by a lot that DON'T do those things. ack it's bad.lol. haha wow that was much longer and rambly-er than i expected it to be. haha. i'm soo happy, today was our last day of school(spring break!yeah!) so i'm all like yay a week of sleeping in and such. and i'm going to the fall out boy concert tomorrow night so it's like the official kick off to spring break happiness, except that i had to work tonight(which wasn't so grand:P lol). wow so i bet this is gunna be like retarded long now. oops.haha. well i hope that sophmore year is magicaly fantasticly better than freshman year for you(haha it's funny cuz when i read your diary i always forget that you're a freshman cuz you sound sooo much like a sophmore.lol) good luck!

lol hmm. well maybe sophmore year wont be as bad for you, since you go to a private school. and there's no guys there right? so that makes it automaticaly way less crap than my school. lol. and in my stupid state we have a standardized test that you have to pass in sophmore year in order to graduate high school. and we hafta take a writing assessment in order to get out of having special english as a junior. plus the workload is just like 30x more. perhaps it wont be as bad at your school.lol. for your sake i hope not, cuz here sophmore year sucks soooo much more than freshman year. especially since we have a HUGE drug and alcohol problem at my school. it's seriously like atleast 80% of the school does drugs and/or drinks. it's kinda sad.haha. which also makes sophmore year more crap than freshman cuz then more people start doing more stupid things.. bleh. oh well, high school is only 4 years and then it's off to college^_^ lol

i've come to the conclusion that diaries are very difficult things to maintain. lol. it's so crazy cuz like in middle school i'd end up writing an entry every single day and sometimes even more than one a day and now it's like once every several months. it's kinda sad. haha and yes, sadly sophmore year is worse.

hey long time no note! you're so lucky to be going back to school wednesday. i had to go to school TODAY. MONDAY. it's rediculous. i swear we're like the only school in the country to hafta go back today. it's depressing. haha. how was your new years? i went to a friends house and we ended up staying up until 7am and then i had to get up at 8:30 to go to my grandparents house so that wasn't the best plan. haha. i'm so sad break is over :( and i wish i hadn't gone to school today. haha it was the most pointless day ever. even more pointless than the first day. in my first period all we did was an extra credit thing, and then in my second and third all we did was watch footbal(or just sit around and talk for an hour and a half with friends like i did) and watch a movie. it was such a waste. i hate getting up early for nothing of importance.lol. well i hope you had a good break!

My mom said Borders might have the 18-yr old policy because of the content of some of the books.. ehh I dunno. It's not like I couldn't go there and look at the same books while I'm shopping! Haha, Philadelphia isn't that far from me really. I can see the buildings from my house - sorta.. if I stood on my roof or something (there's lots of trees). It's just that.. well, I can't drive.. and I know my mom won't want to see it. I really don't want to see it with my parents anyway! My friend told me about a list that she saw called the Most Dissapointing Movies of 2005.. and Elizabethtown was number one! I didn't think it was bad.. but then again it wasn't the worst movies, it was the dissapointing ones. Maybe because it was really hyped about how good it was gonna be, but then it was just okay. I don't know, but I have to go read about 60 more pages of Les Miserables tonight because I have school tomorrow! (it's like 11:30.. gahh!) Stupid Melissa procrastinates all of her homework for the last day of break.. =[

SWEET! You agree with the hotttttness of Adrian Brody in King Kong! Most of my friends haven't seen it yet, so I can't talk about it with them.. and I went with my cousin and she didn't agree.. actually she thought that the young kid (the one who wanted the gun and cried the most when the black guy died) was cute.. is that Jimmy? I dunno, but he was okay - definitely not the hottest of the movie. And the captain! His eyes.. ahh. I've never heard of the Lovely Bones, but if PJ is making a movie of it, I'll definitely read it! I heard he was doing a movie called Halo from rottentomatoes.com, but it says he is the executive producer, not the director. I wonder if that means it is based of of the video game called Halo; it's pretty popular. Oh yeah, and on movies.go.com, if you look up movies, you can watch all sorts of trailers and clips.. and for King Kong, it has the clip of Adrian Brody in the hall! =D ..maybe he'll be my next guy to obsess over. Nope, I don't have my liscense yet - how old do you have to be in Texas to get your permit? Here in Pennsylvania you have to be sixteen, so I was only able to get it recently - actually, today I turned sixteen years and one month! But no, I don't have my permit.. =[. My mom said I have to get a job before I can get my permit, because insurance and gas are expensive. Unfortunatly, everywhere that I want to work you have to be eighteen! (I really wanted to work at Borders Books, for example.) So I dunno when I'll ever get my permit.. I don't even have the time to get a job! Oh well, good luck with yours! <3 Melissa

Hey! Yeah I'm back.. sorta. Actually I started ANOTHER new diary, and I think I'm going to actually keep this one this time. It's an actual diary, not like and fan diary or whatever. I have been really honest on it, so I haven't told anyone about it yet.. but I think I'm gonna go back and take out the names of the people and then I'll let you know! I know, I keep changing diaries, but that's because I stop updating them and then when I want to pick it up again I want to start fresh. Get it? hehe. Well yeah, I'm surprised Orlando and Kate are engaged because of how much they kept breaking up. But I think that they were breaking up because of how much they had to be apart, not because they were fighting. (So wouldn't that be even harder for them if they were married? Hey! Congrats on you're first day of highschool. lol god mine was sooo hectic. We had an assembly first thing in the morning where we got our official schedules that actually had room numbers on them. And I had soccer practice after so I had to drag around my humongous sports bag the entire day and I had to go upstairs for like everyother class.lol it SUCKED. haha but man, good times. I hate it because like all of the teachers at my school are especially fond of seating charts*rolls eyes* They're really nice when you don't know anybody, so then you don't hafta feel all awkward trying to find a seat, but I live in such a small place and like everybody has grown up together plus like a couple new kids each year that if you have close friends in a class, you probably wont get to sit with them because it's all alphabetical or random. I hate it.lol. Wow so that was really rambly and made no sense.lol. Haha my school doesn't start for another 2 weeks.:P But yeah, I had soccer tryouts this week and I'm soo nervous. The coach is supposed to call tonight if you didn't make the team and now it's 9 and I dunno if they've started calling already or if they're done or what.lol. Soo nervous. haha well have fun at school!

Aww are you still sick? (I read your entry) I was actually sick too this past weekend - on Saturday I had chills and I was freezing and my temp was 101º! I was like.. wtf? It's like 95º outside! But I felt better by like.. Sunday. Anyway, I hope you feel better if you don't.. Boo plane food does suck.. and they charge like $7.00 for like an inch of a hoagie and a tiny bag of chips! I would LOVE to go to the beach in California.. and Florida! I've been to Florida, but never to the beach. I've never even been to Cali. *sniff* Are there beaches in Texas? I guess so.. I never really thought about that. heh. I know what you mean about thinking it's cold up northwest.. I kind of do too. Everyone thinks it's, like, eskimo cold in Alaska, but when I went I wore shorts and short-sleeved shirts. (It was July.. it was cold at night, though) Yeah.. I brought up the Europe thing again, and my mom said "we'll see" because of the bombings. I hope we can.. I'm not too afraid of the bombings. Yeah.. I hope that the seventh book of Harry Potter will be the best! I think it will be too. I really can't believe we're at the last one. I dunno.. when I read HP I don't feel like I'm reading a STORY, I feel like it really is real! I cry and laugh and all that stupid stuff. Next time you go to Disney,definitley go on Haunted Mansion.It's not scary at all,although I would not want to be the only one in the entire mansion!It's just really cool.Also check out the movie based off of it,it has some funny moments.I like "10 things I hate about you",I thought it was cute.Heath Ledger is from Australia,so that explains the accent.He's been in stuff like "A Knight's Tale","Ned Kelly","Lords of Dogtown" and I think he's going to play Casanova in a new movie soon.I'm not really a fan of his,considering that "10 things I hate about you" is about the only good thing I've seen him in.And Bill Murray = genius!Love Ghostbusters!"Broken Flowers" sounds interesting,I'm glad that he's still making films and hasn't fallen off the planet like a bunch of other former SNL castmembers.

I love traveling.. I think the only places I'm going this summer are the beaches over here on the east coast. I've never even been to the west coast, except for one night I stayed in Seattle, Washington before flying to Alaska for the week. Does Alaska count as west coast? Hmm. I finally got my mom to agree to traveling to Europe - mainly England - next summer, and I'm soooooooooooooooo excited. It's a long time from here though! And I know EXACTLY what you mean about wanting the last book, but not wanting it to end! Kind of just like RotK in a way.. I never thought it would ever be time for the last book.. it felt like it would go on forever! Oh well.. it better be good!

Good luck with your poetry.I really love poetry.But to write it is so much easier than to study it.I tried to study some of it in my World Literature class and the questions about it were like reading some outer space language.Totally confused....now I have the bananas thing stuck in my head again!People who have only heard Hollaback Girl on the radio and tv probably think "What does this ooophm is bananas mean?!"lol.They also play a version here where everytime she says shit they cover it up with someone blowing a whistle.Really lame.I hope Gwen's next single is "Cool","Danger Zone" or "Serious".I adore the 80s vibe of "Serious"-so killer.

Hmm.. Harold and Kumar was funny and sort of stupid but not as much as I think normal comedies are. I dunno.. its worth watching kind of. I don't really have an opinion on whether it was good or bad! I agree.. I do like the actresses they picked for SotTP, mostly because they fit the part, AND they're not like "the big thing" like Hilary or Lindsay etc. The only one that I expected to look different was Tibby, because I though she'd be, like, really skinny (instead of just normal) and kind of short. But Rachel Bilson (right?) fits the part. You didn't see Sideways right? (in one of your entries it says you talked your dad out of it I think?) Be glad. I think unless you are having a midlife crisis (or maybe I should say unless you are in your "midlife", that movie is boring! All they talk about is how they are obsessed with wine and how the one guy wants to get laid before he is married! And at one point, there is a naked fat guy running down the street! Omg I would hate it if I couldn't see rated R movies! (I think I already told you that) They are some of the best ones! Like I am about to go watch Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, but its the "Extreme Unrated" edition. Thats what it says on the case! It looks like a stupid movie, but a lot of people told me it was good.. I dunno I'll see. OMG you read Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, right? Well, you know how they are making a movie about it? Go to SisterhoodOfTheTravelingPants.com and you can watch the trailer for it! Its not what I expected kind of, but I had to watch the trailer twice, and it looks like it might be good. Kind of like how they changed a bunch of stuff about the Princess Diaries movies (the books were WAY better.. ahh) but it still looks good. Its rated PG, so they obviously took a some of the things from the books out (ahem Kosko and Lena and then Bridget and the coach hehe) And I would have expected Kosko to have longerish hair.. kind of like Orlando I guess. Okay, well you have to watch it! I have to go do my project, my paper, and my other homework now, even though I am on Spring Break now! Ergh my computer is stupid!I had written a pretty long note to you just now and the damn window decided to close!!ERGH.lol.Annnnnyway.lol.It's so hard to live here with like..nothing around.lol.It's like a good place to live if you're a little kid because it's so sheltered and community oriented,but to be a teenager here just sucks.lol.I'm so excited for drivers ed 'cause my mom said she's not even going to let me get behind the wheel until I'm in drivers ed.lol.I can't possibly be THAT bad of a driver!lol.Spring sports have started up here so I haven't had much time to write..My friends talked me in to joining track..So I went yesterday and monday but I'm so crazy sore and just not good at anything and the warmups are so bad.Yesterday after doing like an hour of warmups,we had to sprint 1,000 meters..TWO AND A HALF LAPS!!God..And that's when I realized that track isn't the right sport for me.lol.So I'm switching in to tennis tomorrow hopefully.lol I read your diary and me and my friend Nicole always dance around to 1,2 Step too!!lol.It's such a fun song to dance to!lol.We've both watched the music video enough that we've taught ourselves to 1,2 Step!lol.but when we do it together like next to eachother we always get messed up.lol.its so funny..lol i think we knocked eachother down one time at a dance.lol.some good times with that song:P well shucks,I've got to do my homework now..I hate myself for procrastinating so much..I got home early today 'cause I didn't go to track but I still just sat around and wasted 2 hours.lol.ttyl

hey.I'm ALMOST better.lol.I'm not coughing every two seconds anymore:) so thats ALWAYS good.lol.my teachers had like the same kind of thing with the star charts and stuff when i was younger.we even had these pieces of paper cut in the shape of teeth and there was one for each month and if you lost a tooth in that month then theyd write your name on it for each tooth you lost and youd get like a little prize thing or something.lol.haha im a legal adult in 3 yrs:P haha i feel so old:S lol.but on the bright side i get to take drivers ed this summer:D no more riding my crappy school bus!!:D my island is sooo under developed.theres tons and tons of trees and theres like little towns where its mostly like a road that has driveways going off of it and everybody has acres of land and theres lots of like farms and tons of people have horses and cows and stuff.and then theres like 3 major towns in our school district,but its like mainly just stores and like a post office and a fire station and everybody mostly lives like on the outskirts of the towns.lol its so old-fashioned and theres like tons of elderly people and in the summer there are SO many tourists.its so annoying!they all drive REALLLLLY slow to look @ all the trees and stuff cuz theyre from the city where youre lucky to see a tree.we have to either drive like 50 miles up the island and take a bridge across to the mainland,or we can drive 10 or so miles down the island and take a ferry to the mainland or drive like 20 or 30 miles up the island and take a different ferry,but that one goes to the very west part of washington and all the major cities are like in the middle.it kinda sucks to live out in the middle of nowhere.lol.our cloesest neighbors are like 1/2 an acre through the woods.lol.and theres no malls:S haha we have a RadioShack.lol.thats like the cloesest big-chain type store.really sad.lol.well i g2g,ive managed to put off 1/2 of my homework till now.I really gotta stop doing that.lol.ttyl!

First of all, I'm really sorry it's been like a month since I wrote you back! =( .. I got a new diaryland site! I still have this one, but the other one is more for me, while this one is more about Orlando Bloom (or so I tried).. My new username is SameSadSong! (it's from a Yellowcard song) Okay, so now to reply.. I pay attention to movie music too! I love how in the EE of LotR on the extra discs they have the whole section about it, because you can see how Howard Shore actually writes it, and how there's a different song for each culture, etc. Wow, I'm such a dork! This is really making me want to watch LotR right now, but I have to do homework soon.. Do they SERIOUSLY not let you watch rated R movies?¿?!? Well, you really only need to be seventeen. So.. only two and a half years until you can see Troy? Ahh! Tell them that it is for educational purposes.. we had to read the Odyssey by Homer in English, which is about the Trojan War. I can't understand why Orlando always goes to the award shows to present, but he never goes when his movies are nominated! (Example: LotR winning 11 Oscars!) woah thats so crazy!!my kindergarten and preschool did the same thing with the class in the afternoon and the class in the morning.they like split it up depending on where u lived tho.it wuz weird.if u lived on the 1 side of the school then u had 2 go in the morning and the otherside u had 2 go in the afternoon.i got 2 b in the afternoon class:P lol.it was sooo nice to get to sleep in.lol.i miss those days.its so crazy to like think back to like when you were in 1st or 2nd grade and like remember all the good times u had like making mud pies and stuff and now its like i wanna watch this movie or listen to that music and all the really simple things arent entertaining anymore.its so crazy to think that were like,almost adults and that were going to be moving out on our own and having to be "responsible" and stuff.lol.well i g2g.im sick and i cant stop coughing no matter wut i do:S lol.ttyl!

nice!it's so awsome when people go places and bring you back stuff.lol.this island sucks so much.it's like meant for old people and little kids because theres nothing for teenagers to do.theres not even like a public swimming pool.theres like 3 i think,but you have to be a member or pay a bunch extra if you're not.stupid snobby people.lol.its been soooo freakishly sunny here.everyday its like 30 degrees in the morning and by the time we get out of school @ 2 30 its really sunny and like around 60 or 65 and theres not a cloud in the sky.its so awsome.but then theres homework:( so you dont get to have any fun outside.lol.i hate that.too much homework.its so dumb how the little kids get to go to school later and they get out a little later,but then they go to bed early just to get up late.and then people our age always want to stay up late but then we have to get up early and it just sucks.lol.they should really change that.lol lots of little kids get up really early anyway!lol.i gotta go eat dinner.yay for food.lol.ttyl!

haha we used to always have a lot of breaks and days off and stuff but theyve gotten read of alot of em:( lol.i live on an island so it REALLY sucks.like the only thing we have thats like,really common is a dairyqueen and a subway.lol.and we have a little like family operated movie theatre thats only like 10 minutes away,but they dont get the movies unil like about a month after they come out.but if you drive to the north end of the island which is like 45 minutes on a good day,but usually an hour because everybody around here drives like total idiots.lol.and there we have a wal-mart and a kmart and mcdonalds(yuck)and like kfc and jack in the box.and they have a movie theatre with like 3 theatres in it and they get the movies when they 1st come out.its really sad.lol.but the movie theatre thats 10 minutes away is only $5 to get in and like the is only like $2 tops.thats always good:) haha i like cheap stuff!:D lol.well i got homework to do:( haha procrastinating once again!haha.talk 2 ya later!

Sorry it took me soooooooo long to write back! I've only been to one symphony concert, and that was only because it was the grand opening of the Kimmel Center, which is this concert-hall-type-of-building in Philly and all day long there were free concerts and stuff. Otherwise, there haven't been any symphonies that I have wanted to go to other than the LotR one.. you went to that, right? Was it Howard Shore there, or was it a different conductor? Either way, I would have loved it because I love all of the scores from the movies. I have to go eat dinner.. bye! I never really associated the LotR movies with summer, I associated them with christmas/holidays. It was kinda annoying though coz winter is the perfect time to go see a movie coz the weather is usually crap & it's something to do, but in summer it's all hot & you don't really want to sit in a movie theater for 3 hours, you'd rather be out at the beach or something! But I love the LotR movies heaps so it wasn't that bad for me.

we have so many girls @ my school that dress really slutty.its sick!theres like 5 girls in each of my classes that wear super low-rise jeans and thongs.lets just say,they REALLY needa pull up there pants.lol.that would suck so much if the teachers just started pairing u up!here they have a few dances during the year just 4 middleschool kids that r outside of school and thrown my difrent hischool clubs and the highschoolers would like make it there mission 2 help the nerdy geeky guys find some1 2 dance with.at 1 of them last year i got stuck dancing w/this creepy lil 6grader who musta been like 4'10".and i wuz like 5'4".lol.it wuz really retarded.lol.some good times though.lol.having no school is so awsome!i didnt get up till 11 2day.lol.i love it!and since theres no school i can stay up late everynight!its such a blast.lol.kinda makes new years eve not as special now tho,since i stay up till midnight like everynight now.lol.well i could prolly make this even longer,but i bet its long already so ill stop babbling.lol.ttyl!

WOW that really sux about the dresses!!in our middle school here they have a graduation dance for the 8th graders and they get in for free and they let the 7th graders come too,but they hafta pay and we can basicly wear whatever we want.i went to it in 7th grade and i had a shortish spaghetti strapped dress and in 8th grade i went and like EVERYBODY had strapless dresses and then at homecoming this year alot of the dresses were strapless or spaghetti strapped.that sux so much.our wind ensemble for band that has all the 10-12th graders the girls hafta wear short sleeve black floor-length dresses.not very pretty.im so glad our schools here arent very strict about dress codes.altho our new vice principle who is majorly powertripping goes around yelling @ girls 2 pull there shirts down if u can c even like 1/2 an inch of their stomachs.i hope u have fun w/your relatives!mine are coming on sat.:S ttyl!

It like changed my life.. like when I saw PotC and LotR.. those things changed everything I've done since then! hehe I sound so corny lol.. Sorry this took *forever*! I read your note about not going to school on Saturday and I laughed.. seriously! Because on Friday I got at school at 7am like usual, but I didn't go home at 2:45 like usual. Instead I was there until 11:00 at night! Yep.. robotics.. we were setting up for the Lego League competition that was on Saturday, and it wasn't getting done! Some kids didn't leave until 1AM! So then we had to be back at 7AM on Saturday and I left around 7 that night, but half of the Robotics team was still there even when I left! And I have to go to Robotics a few days over the Xmas holiday too.. but its okay because its fun and the people are fun! When I was looking through your notes to see what the last note I sent you was, I saw one that said you've never heard of the Scissor Sisters! =0! They really are a weird group.. but pretty good. I loovveee Snow Patrol! And a lot of bands.. I could go on forever. Right now I am mad at my mom because she won't let me go to a The Starting Line and Fall Out Boy concerts.. =/.. I think your presidential election is more far reaching than the lunar eclipse! That election of yours is always on the news. Every. Bloody. Day. They had special coverage of that last debate which meant no bewitched on in the afternoon, that made me annoyed :) But, to be completely honest, I don't really care who wins your election because I have decided I don't like George Bush or John Kerry. You live in Texas, right? I always wondered if Texas favored Bush more than Kerry. Do most people like George W. Bush, or is it about even? Hey! Sorry it took me FOREVER! RCN is the worst.. my internet was down for like 2 weeks.. it SUCKED! Especially since I had to research Kerry and Bush for homework.. omg that day when Tina Fey came I didn't get to see her! I was sooo pissed! LoL its funny now but it wasnt then. My Spanish teacher decided that we weren't going to the assembly! It sucked, and then there was an article and pictures in our school newsletter.. I was soo mad! I haven't experienced racism either, but some of the stories i've heard are terrible, one of my friends is asian & some of the girls near where she lives are really horrible to her. I think one of the reasons we didn't get involved in the war was because we lost so many men in the 1st & 2nd World wars & it therefore had a major impact on our country because alot of the women in that era didn't get married & have kids because there weren't that many men or they were widowed. I think every country have their own problems. I just think the US is an easy target for the media, especially now with the whole war on iraq thing. NZ definately have problems, at the moment one of the big things is racism, which is sad since we are seen as a multicultural country. I think our problems, while important to nzers, wouldn't be important to other people & don't have an impact on other countries, if that makes sense. No, we don't get your tv channels :) we don't have SNL we have David Letterman on prime but we don't get prime because there is a mountain in the way of the reception thing, we also have oprah, dr phil etc but we're about 6 months behind & they're in the middle of the day. I won't actually be able to MEET Tina Fey, more like watch her accept an award. On this wall in my high school, theres like 20 plaques of sort-of famous/worth recognizing people who graduated there. I was looking at it today, and I never heard of one of them! Mostly they like discovered medical stuff or something like that. The other people getting the plaques are a state rep for PA (I think) and a principal for one of the elementary schools in my school district (theres like 10) and I dunno who the other 3 people are. I was soo excited when I first found out. I was like YAY! Someone actually FAMOUS! hehe.. Who are the fantanas? In Mean Girls, theyre called the Plastics. I don't think there's anything like that in my high school, but no I guess you wouldn't consider me "popular". But thats a good thing, at least I think. Why should it matter what all the other people think - I have my friends and thats all that matters! Most of the people who were considered "popular" in middle school are now never heard of. They were annoying anyway.. my friend was telling me the other day about how much her life has changed from the summer of middle to high school - two of her friends are pregnant, most of them smoke, and the other night they were getting high on some cleaning stuff. How stupid! She said she was freaking out because her one friend got so sick and she got really cold then really hot and she passed out and all of that.. It's SO stupid! I have to go finish my homework.. but first: I <3 movie soundtracks too! My favorites are "A Walk to Remember" and "Spiderman" (1 and 2). And also LotR because I love "Into the West" and "Gollums Song", but I don't own them. I LOVE Train and Nickelback and 3 Doors Down! Theyre some of my FAVORITE bands! (how weird?!?) I also like Madonna as an entertainer, but I don't listen to her music or anything. And I like Coldplay and Five for Fighting, though I only know a few songs by them.. Hey! I'm sorry if it took me a while to write back.. I hate school! It takes up 95% of my time, and the rest of the time I am eating or sleeping. Guess what - you know the movie Mean Girls? The writer of it, who also plays the math teacher, and she is on Saturday Night Live w/ Jimmy Fallon and was the first woman writer of Saturay Night Live - well she graduated from my high school. I am SO excited because next Friday she's coming to this assembly thing at my school and they're giving her and other famous-ish people who went to my high school plaques for the "Hall of Fame" but the other people aren't as famous. Like, on is a State Rep for PA and stuff like that, but nothing compared to as famous as her! She knows Lindsay Lohan, who knows people who knows Orlando Bloom! Whoo hoo! LoL anyway... Don't worry, by the time you get done eighth grade you will be soo sick of your school. I love high school SOO much more. I would SOO rather have a long summer and short holidays. There's kind of nothing to do on the holidays (not that I would rather be in school) and summer you can swim and do a lot more. Which would you prefer? There's this girl that is in a fight with crazy4js and I said something about it in crazy4js's notes and now I'm in a fight w/ her too! And she's really annoying too. she rites like this when she leaves nots. dont u think its annoying???????? LoL and we are basically fighting over who knows more about LotR. And her question for me was what Legolas's horse's name is. And I know it! It's Arod. Hmm.. well I didn't write back to her yet but maybe by the time you read this I will have. I know you were probably only talking about what you want to do with your life, but believe me, college can be a very beneficial thing. Not all of us want to be actors. I'm just saying that, you don't really know whether a college degree will come in handy or not. And it's not all expensive. Mine costs less than $1,000 per year. In fact, nowadays it seems like you need a degree for just about anything. So yeah, the main thing is to do what you love, and what you're good at, and you're right, that won't always involve college. So hopefully it'll work out for you :-) But that doesn't mean that everyone except doctors and lawyers are going to follow that route. ;-)

Yay, I'm glad you likes it! I was confused about how to make separate pages at first, but it's quite simple. If you go to the template editor, and find the links in the html code you copied; the links are all something like http://elfdaughter.diaryland.com/rings.html yes? Basically, to make it easy, I just did a direct link to your diary, then at the end of each different link, I actually used the page title as the ending word to the link. Like for the extras page, the link is ending in ...com/extras.html do you get it? Well, to actually make the page, you have to go to the entry editor, where you generally go to write entries, and then paste in your rings, or biography or whatever. Then you write in the short description bit, the title of your page, and then there's a box below that, which generally people leave blank. To make your rings page you would type in that box 'rings'. Just remember how I've put the links as 'rings.html' or 'extras.html' or 'cast.html'. you write in the word (don't put in '.html'. It's sorta simple. If you have problems, just ask me, otherwise, have fun!

Awesome layout! There's only one huge problem.. NO Orlando! AHHH! Hehe.. Are you SERIOUS that you have NEVER seen snow!?!? That's crazy. Wow. One time, it started snowing (for the first of the summer) on my birthday. (November 29) It was awesome! And once it hadn't snowed the whole winter and it was so weird, but then Christmas morning we woke up and there was snow all over! It was like, magical! Wow you should see the pictures of all the snow we got a couple of years ago, and I was stuck at my aunts house in Baltimore, Maryland (close to Washington DC) So I think she has the pictures on her computer, and I'll ask for them.. but I have some pictures on my pc from my house! I'll put them in an entry, and send you the link when I do it! I want to wait to buy Spiderman 1 for when #2 comes out, because I kind of want them in a box, except then when the third comes out it won't be in the box.. you know? It's like that thing with the hardback and paperback books.. they gotta match! I started school last Monday, and its so HUGE that I keep getting lost.. but I'm not alone! Everyones confused, but I probably have a better idea of how to get around then most people.. Usually we start the first week of September but this year its August 30! We usually get out around June 14-16 or so.. but maybe earlier this year since we started earlier.. well I'm going to look for some pics of the snow and I'll send the link in a note when I'm done! Because "Come What May" is another one of my favorite songs of all time. I downloaded it and burned it on a cd.. (shhh don't tell!) Also, was the Village good? You obviously liked it, but I heard a few people say it wasn't that good. Did you know it takes place really close to me? It was filmed in West Chester, PA, which is where my dad lives. Summer is from APRIL to OCTOBER in Texas? I want to live there! I love the summer and HATE the winter.. Two winters ago we had this blizzard and even though we had off from school, it was snow like up to my thighs. I know that's not even a lot compared to some places, though. Summer in PA is from about.. May to August.. some people might count September too, but only the beginning, then it gets cold. You're not weird for wanting the Second Summer of the Sisterhood in paperback.. I am EXACTLY the same way. I want them to match! Hehe.. but I don't know if I want to wait for it. When I see Tom Cruise with the white/grey hair in Collateral, it seems like his hair is supposed to be that color, it looks natural! But he still somehow looks good with the gray hair! (though much older!) Kirsten broke up with Jake?!?! Stupid thing to do! People say she likes Tobey Maguire, and he looks like him! And there was this thing online (I'll have to send you the link..) where they said that Kirsten and Orlando have great chemistry and they were seen "canoodling" on set. Uhh.. yeah right! I really can't wait to buy the second one, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood. And there's a third one that isn't out yet! Read the interview in the back of the Sisterhood.. she said in the third one, the summer right before they go to college, Bridget meets Eric again! (and he said he would want her if he saw her when she was older..) Aww I really like these books. Umm.. in Interview with a Vampire, Tom Cruise is NOT a hot vampire. He was FrEaKy.. seriously. Maybe I can get a picture of it.. check my new entry I'll try to find a picture! Did you hear that Kirsten and Jake broke up? Geez.. if SHE was the one who broke it up, then she is very stupid.. I noticed that you put the quote "Not all who wander are lost" in your profile! That was my favorite quote from the book. I loved reading the quotes! About retainers - my orthodontist told me that I needed to wear it because my teeth just got to a new position, and they would move right back again if I didn't wear my retainer until it stayed in its place. Don't worry, your teeth will be FaBuLoUs when your braces come off! =) Yeah.. I had a lot of friends with braces but most of us are seeming to get them off around the same time. I'm going to the shore at Wildwood in a few weekends, and my mom said we can go see Spiderman 2 when we go! She wants to see it - it BETTER still be playing or I am going to be PISSED! Guess what?!? Today, my friend and I were walking around and we went into the dollar store, and I bought Spider-man cards! Like, the kind you play solitare and all those card games with! I was so happy, but on the cards were the comic version of him, not pictures from the movie. =( I bet if they were from the movie, they wouldn't be at the dollar store! And half of them were pictures of villains, so I was disappointed about that too. But it's still Spider-man! (I felt like SUCH a geek buying them..) Glad your braces don't hurt anymore.And as far as all those sores from the wires poking,I get those All the time.It helps if you put wax (if they gave you any)on the spot on the braces that is poking you.The flossing deal,they gave me flossing needles which are just like regular needles,only plastic of course.and you just string the floss through those and it's quite easy to reach past the wires and get all the teeth on the bottom and the front ones on top.Mine gets spitty and soggy too,you could just get a new piece or as long as the piece doesn't have food stuck on it it's cool to keep using it.You'll get used to all of it.If they didn't give you all the tools,just ask them or go to Wal*Mart or something-they have that stuff there too.Good luck!

I'm back! (read lower note first) When I got out of the shower I turned on my tv while I got ready. I was flipping through the channels and I got to FX and guess what was on? Interview with a Vampire! So if you ever wanted to really see it, I guess you could check back to see if it comes on again. It's rated R for nudity I think.. yeah.. I remember this scene where they (Brad and Kirsten's characters) went to see a play. The guy on stage was a vampire acting like a mortal acting like a vampire.. you know? He had a woman and she was screaming at the audience to help her, but they thought it was part of the act. He stripped her down (though on FX they probably blur it) and sucked her blood right on stage... erghh it was a weird movie. And Tom Cruise plays this really weird vampire. Kirsten Dunst is actually supposed to be a vampire who is centuries old but still in a girls body, so I guess thats why they kiss (Brad Pitt is a vampire too) And she was only 12! Now that my braces are off, I still have to wear a retainer on my top teeth all of the time, and one on my bottem teeth when I sleep. I'd rather have my retainer than braces, but retainers are really annoying and hard to get used to at first! My teeth used to be so much worse.. I had a tooth on the top that was like, behind my other teeth and my whole life my dentist was like "It's going to move up" but then he said I needed braces. So I had to get two teeth pulled before I got braces! I am glad I had braces now, and you will when you get them off! Try eating.. mashed potatoes or like Macaroni and Cheese or something. I don't like mashed potatoes, but if you do I don't think they would hurt! Do your teeth still hurt? Anyway, that was SUCH a good idea about buying tickets to see LotR every time you went to the movies. It's not like they check anyway! I should have done that! Well I REALLY want to see S-man 2 again but I don't have time, and I have no way of getting there! My friend Jess and I planned to go see Spiderman2 and The Bourne Supremacy on Sunday, but the problem is that we never saw the Bourne Identity! haha.. I hope we still can. I was just looking on Yahoo image search for photos of Tobey. I found some really good ones, and some really ugly ones! Most are on the good side, though. This one that I thought was ugly they put this like, eye tatoo on him.. why do they have to do that to guys? There's pics of Orlando like that, too. Well, when we were at camp, what we did just for fun (no one else did it and it wasn't planned except in our cabin), we put on like three layers of clothes - such as a kind of long T-shirt, a shorter sleeved T-shirt, a tank top, pants, capris, shorts, put our hair up strange, and since I wear glasses, I put sunglasses on over them. The only problem? We learned at breakfast that our cabin was leading worship!

I just rememered some things I forgot to put in the note below! (lol) For one thing, I just got my braces totally off this month, and I've had them for.. *counting*.. thirty-one months exactly. So that's about.. two years and seven months so don't you be complainin' young lady! Just kidding.. it seemed like I would never get them off but now that I did I am glad they were on, even for so long, because my teeth are really straight now. And it only hurts for a few days after every time you go, so soon the pain will be gone. (in the beginning it takes a little longer though) When I first got them on I ate soup, yogurt, soup, pudding, and soup! But don't worry, they don't hurt for long. I can't believe that Spider-man isn't first anymore! Although, it's been like three weeks so I guess second is still good.. but not good enough! I am going sometime this week so it gets back to first! (right, as if my one ticket will matter) But not JUST to help it back to first.. I am like addicted to thinking about Tobey Maguire now! Oh yeah, the other thing I wanted to tell you is that I bought Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants too! But I haven't read it yet. I am finishing the Harry Potter series (for my third time) and then I am reading my summer reading book from school, then SotTP (or we could call it the Sisterhood), then I had another one I bought to read too. I like reading in the summer a lot because during school I have no time whatsoever, between school, homework, projects, sports, gymnastics, and time for friends too! I'm starting high school this year! I'm scared, because there's almost 5000 students in the one I'm going to.. way too big! LoL Okay I'm really hungry I gotta go-buhbye! <3 Melissa

Yeah I loovve Spider-man 2! I read your entry about it and I really agree! But you didn't mention how HOT he was! I mean, he really was. I liked the part where he looks at the cops and eats his hot dog, because for a second I thought he was going to run but then he just took a bite! But it definitly wasn't my favorite. (SPOILERS AHEAD ANYONE ELSE WHO IS READING THIS) I loved the part where he was saving the train and his muscles ripped through the suit.. I got chills because he was just so hot. And I am now too! I also loved when he just saved the train and they catch him and hold him and they're like "he's so young" and they said they wouldn't tell who he was.. I just loved it! I was gonna cry! And I loved when MJ FINALLY found out that he was S-man and he said he really DID love he and then he was like "this is really heavy".. he was so cute just then. And I was just talking to my friend Madaline and she was like.. we have to go see it again just for the part where he takes off his shirt.. did you see his six-pack? Sorry.. I get so excited.. he's SO HOT! Anyway, you saw the LotR symphony? I SOO wanted to see that when they were in Philadelphia, but I am the only person I know (besides the wonderful internet) who is obsessed with LotR.. I am so glad you are as obsessed as me, even with the music. I absolutely LOVE "Into the West" don't you? My cousin Nicole and I always put on the RotK DVD and put on subtitles and video tape ourselves singing it! =) (and if we forget the words we just look at the screen) I plan to buy the LotR soundtracks, but at the moment I am flat-out BROKE! OK, I get it. I still don't agree with you, but I understand now. I too love debating like you don't even know! ;) Because of my strong beliefs, I managed to get myself kicked off a message board!!! And about the Iraq War... we had to get Saddam out of there for more reasons than JUST the Iraqis (tho that was a good reason! lol!). Saddam was trying to take over the world - he's the next Hitler. You know what he did to his own people, don't you? And during Operation Desert Storm, we PROVED he had weapons of mass destruction, and these uneducated people who keep coming up and saying, "He doesn't have them - never did", are talking balogney. Perhaps they're not in the country now - they might be in Russia, for all we know! But Saddam was a threat to EVERYONE, and needed to be removed. And please don't listen to the liberal media. They make it sound like all of Iraq is just jumping out at our soldiers with machine guns and shootin' 'em down. That's hardly right. There's a certain group that's made headlines because they've killed some of our guys. Peace involves conflict first. Always has, always will. Even India's freedom - called the "peaceful" war - was bloody and full of death. There was no "official" war, but does that matter? But back to Iraq... There are SO many Iraqi people who are SOOO grateful for what we are doing for them - they don't understand democracy - yet - but why would they? That's why we have to stick around and make sure they understand it. Sure, people die. What war doesn't have casualties? But remember, it's in America's creed to protect the weak and helpless, and Iraq was just that in this case. ttyl. :-) ~Éowyn~

OK, since you've been wanting people to leave you notes for a while, I will. I'm sorry if I sound callous and rude, I am really trying not to, but what's your problem with President Bush? Apparently you listen to the media faaaaaar too much. He is really a good man and I really admire his faith in God. He needs our prayers and our support. We can't run away screaming and hide under our beds when terrorist acts occur, unlike some **cough**Spain**cough**. We have to let them know what we stand for and we've gotta let them know that we refuse to be pushed over so easily. I don't agree with revenge - I believe in justice, tho. I'm sorry if I've hurt or offended you. I don't try to - honestly. Just you never point out WHY you so strongly hate President Bush and think he's an idiot and jerk. What's he done to you? Do you think by protesting the war, you're making the families of the soldiers feel better? No, of course not. Especially those that have died. By protesting the war, you are yelling in their faces, "Your son/daughter died for nothing!" Sometimes, war is necessary when negotiations can't be made. Saddam is one who refused to negotiate. If you are against the Iraq War (the operation was called Operation Iraqi Freedom), then I hope you are against the Revolutionary War as well. Thousands of people have died for your freedom, giving their sweat, blood, tears - even their lives, so you can have the freedom to hate them openly. Well,I'm not going to lie to you-it does hurt..When I go my appointment,they change the wires and the colored ties and it hurts for about three days after.There are certain foods that they advise you to stay away from,but if you're careful it really isn't a problem.Honestly,the most important thing is to remember to brush your teeth.You don't want straight teeth that are rotten.And from my experience so far,it is worth it.Hope that didn't bore you...lol.Later*

I need to get braces soon. But I personally don't think they make people uglier or prettier. They just pretty much look the same to me. I just realised that I sent my last note twice! I want to see The Day After Tomorrow too, because it looks scary! (if I am thinking of the right movie) And I CAN'T WAIT for Troy! My mom and my best friend and I are going to see it Saturday! I have to go with my mom because it's rated R.. and it's amazing because she NEVER goes to a movie on it's opening weekend.. wow. (for that day, anyway) I really really want to see Van Helsing, but my Mom Mom keeps telling me that it got bad reviews! But I really want to see it because Hugh Jackman is so adorable - especially his accent.
