Parenting isn't all shite, I promise. Oh, and if you like Bob Dylan you may be interested in the new Bryan Ferry cd, Dylanesque. I'm not stalking. Really.
from drewa :
I'm so sorry you've had such an ordeal with the doctor! It's ridiculous and frustrating. I hope you get the answers you need and can come up with a plan of action. Andrea
from kmlovesdn :
Barf away! And yes, I do remember that! It's gotten a lot of love for such a little tree.
from tattoobelly :
Sarah Silverman is so FOUL, yet so funny. I just love to be surprised and Sarah Silverman's show does that, which is why it's a keeper in our house.
from kmlovesdn :
umm....birds of prey? Seriously? I would have crapped my pants if I saw an owl flying after another bird - anywhere close to me!
from tattoobelly :
Happy birthday, pretty lady!
from tattoobelly :
Oh dear, that copied rather badly. Should I email it instead?

I wear a DDD bra also and don't like it because there's such a small selection of DDDs and they tend to be expensive brands. My favorite so far is the Luniere brand, though I may not be spelling that right. They make excellent exercise bras as well, available through the Title Nine catalogue/website.
from tattoobelly :
Kimmy is always right, and I agree with her about keeping your distance. I would also suggest that you stop going to lunch with that crazy cat lady, even if others will be there--it doesn't seem like there are enough people in the world to provide an adequate buffer zone for her. Also, I totally disagree with the statement that started everything. Totally!
from tattoobelly :
Darlin, you could be pregnant already? This crazy tiredness of yours has me suspicious.
from jenniesblog :
Just wanted to say hi. Good read!

from tattoobelly :
I'm proud of you for drawing that line with your friend, and I think you're right that she says those judgemental things to you because she's unhappy with her own life. She's had to convince herself that her life is virtuous so she can feel okay about living it, and your life is different than hers (and better) so she attacks you and your decisions to reinforce her feelings about her own virtue. My unsolicited advice to you: End the friendship; she will not be able/willing to abide by your terms of her not judging you. I apologize for weighing in on matters that are none of my business, but I've known people like your friend and they never change because they get so much out of judging others. My former best friend and I haven't spoken in years--she was all the time judging me and my decisions--and I have never once regretted that our friendship ended. Do what's best for you.
from tattoobelly :
Okay, first of all, I Rule your message section. Secondly, my sister went to college with Kim and is probably the same age of that annoying friend you met at the shower. It makes me wonder who it is and if I've met her...
from tattoobelly :
How RUDE that those people call you by a different name. I could understand if they were calling you a nickname, born from affection and whatnot, but to call you something else because they don't remember your name? Rude. I agree the Amy one is understandable, but that other women should be ashamed. You should start calling her Jennifer also.
from tattoobelly :
I've only just recently figured out how to deal with those negative type people, and it doesn't always work, but it does most of the time. When someone says something rude, as in your examples, I just tell myself (repeatedly if necessary) that what they just said is about Them, not about Me, and that helps me shrug it off. Pretty much you already said the same thing in your diary--that the reason they said what they said is because of where they are in life--so maybe this helps not at all, but I thought I'd mention it because I'm a busybody that way.
from tattoobelly :
Whoa, that fire story was scary! I'm glad there wasn't as much damage as there could have been.
from heylee :
Yay pictures!!! Thanks for posting them.
from heylee :
I was wondering where you were and if everything was ok. That tsunami warning was crazy! Anywho, hope you have a nice trip and are able to de-stress a little.
from heylee :
First off, your field trip sounds like so much fun! I need work in that kind of environment!hehe! Ok, as for living with Matt: you know Brian and I live together also and telling my friends and family has been difficult for me as well. I think if the situation comes up, you should tell her. I think you should let her know how much her friendship means to you and how you hope something like that would never tear you apart. I'm in the same boat with you and the same thing has weighed heavily on me too. Wishing you luck.
from simplify :
i don't think you should lie to your friend. give her the opportunity to choose what she wants to do. she's got her principals and it's really not up to anyone else to say that her beliefs are wrong or stupid. it's what she believes. here's the thing, beth, if you believe that what you're doing is the right thing for you then you need to tell her the truth, let her know you value her friendship and why and if she rejects you because her belief system doesn't allow for anyone who believes/behaves differently, then that's it. if you love her and respect her, don't treat her in a way that you wouldn't want to be treated.
from heylee :
Alrighty: a pic of your favorite purse(because I am a total purse girl), a pic of the birdie simon, and...a pic of your favorite work outfit.
from heylee :
Okie dokie, I'll try and get those photos together over the weekend. I've been wondering where you've been lately, but now I realize how busy with work you are, even on the weekends! :D
from krisicat :
Thanks for adding me to your favorite list and for the compliment about my writing. I enjoy reading your diary for the same reason. It's nice to see that there are a few people out their who know how to string words together.
from tattoobelly :
Re: the sprouting mushrooms, what I would bet is there were mushroom spores in the soil you poured on the garden. Are they at least pretty mushrooms? I'm a sucker for a lovely fungus.
from heylee :
Aw hon, hope you feel better soon...
from heylee :
Those are two very cute pics. So what does the hair look like now? My senior pic looks hideous! I hated them with a passion.
from simplify :
first of all every sister knows she's the cute one, so there's really no wondering. secondly, unfortunately for you, your hair was the cutest YESTERDAY. my hair is the cutest today. and because of that i can say this: too bad about your foot. i feel really bad for you.
from heylee :
pics? pics? Come on, where are they? hehe. Yay for new haircuts and new hairdressers!!!!
from maestra44 :
I believe the first concert (The Monkees) was on your 7th birthday...so that would be 1985. You are old.
from for-you-only :
Heya! ~Pink
from heylee :
Oh my gosh! The girl's comment about losing weight for the wedding...that's horrible! That would PISS me off like no other! How can people be so rude? Geeze, sorry your work is not doing it for ya this week, I hope things turn around soon.
from simplify :
i liked the texas list and i would've been such a happy girl if i'd seen tom petty and jackson browne together.
from heylee :
Have fun and have a safe trip. Your entry was hilarious today, by the way... :D Oh, and I love to read on flights, it has to be a good book though...otherwise I'll just sleep.
from heylee :
Ewwwww! Scary weiner men!!!!!!!!
from simplify :
number one. i would much rather have a rat body part in my chili than a human finger on account of the fact that it makes a helluva a lot more sense. number two. i used to be paranoid and then i realized that most people are way too caught up in their own thing to care about what i'm doing. happy easter.
from heylee :
Buisness situations dealing with promotions and raises are always so darn tricky. Sorry, I can't really give you any kind of sound advice, but I do hope they realize what they have and show some love for ya!
from heylee :
Thanks so much for the note...you're right about it all. I see our friendship slipping farther and farther away. I just hate to be the bad guy ya know. Thanks for the advice on that...I need all the help I can get.
from heylee :
Don't worry about the ticker idea, I don't care at all! I have had some serious difficulty in deciding whether or not C will be in the wedding. I was in her wedding 2 years ago, and she DID set Brian and I up, but I just don't feel all that close to her anymore. We used to be great friends, but once Brian and I began dating, she would do little things to try and sabotage it...I don't know. I would feel horrible if she wasn't included, but...I'm going to have to decide soon... I totally love taking pics of the sunset down here in SD. A couple I have that I use for screensavers were taken while Brian was out surfing. LOL! I just wish the weather would warm up here because I am ready for beach season already...not that I do anything besides lay out, but you know! hahaha.
from heylee :
I'm dreading those scary wedding dreams...eek! Isn't CA the best and most beautiful state to live in?!?!
from simplify :
i remember when andy and i were getting married and a number of people would say, i hope i'm invited. and we would just smile politely, but promise nothing. one person, and this is really just too much, actually wrote us FOUR different letters about being invited and how he needed time to plan his trip and it meant a lot to him to be invited and the strangest thing was, he knew andy in college, but it's not like they were friends or anything.
from heylee :
Hahaha...your note made me laugh! Yes, Eternal Sunshine was a great movie, kinda hard to follow at times, but great nontheless. I love Target like no other!!!haha! I played soccer all growing up. AYSO when I was little, club and high school soccer. My team was always the same girls so we kicked butt! Right now I am playing soccer through the local city, but the last time I played indoor (2 years ago) through the YMCA and a sports center. I don't really recommend co-ed though, because the boys hog the ball!!! And for some reason they are able to run twice as fast!!!!! bahahaha!
from heylee :
Hope your honey starts feeling better soon...
from heylee :
fractured skulls and numb toes?!?!?! What the heck is that all about?!?! Hope you and Matt enjoy Valentine's Day!!!
from heylee :
Sorry you were sick last week. I was wondering where you were...Hope your feeling a lot better!
from nana34 :
We saw you at Wards the other day, and Joe says he's having visions of Eleanor.
from heylee :
I know I should give birds a chance, it's just that my brother's bird is scared to death of his own shadow even. And he love to bite people, so I'm not really looking forward to this...I love how men have absolutely no clue about what is appropriate to discuss with friends. Why do they feel it's necessary to blab about stuff like that? *sigh*
from waztukin :
Yes, yes he does look like Russell Crow.. at least in that picture. And, btw, your dress is BEAUTIFUL.
from simplify :
i totally agree that kim should not move. i'll go tell her right now.
from heylee :
Your fiance sounds a lot like mine! LOL! Before he started medic school, Brian would beg me to ride our beach cruisers to the beach and watch him surf. I was more of the lay out and read kind of gal. Cold weather at the beach where bundling up is necessary just doesn't appeal to me. :D
from heylee :
Wow, you already found your dress?!?!?! I am way behind in that department! LOL!
from heylee :
Hahaha...my fiance also talks in his sleep constantly. I try to keep the conversations going as long as I can because it is hilarious. Once he wakes up and realizes what he was doing, he looks all sheepish and goes back to sleep.
from maestra44 :
So, now that you know who you are, who are you? The story about the dog is horrible...poor Auntie and puppy...let me know how it does?
from minired :
Beth -- MAJOR congratulations! I'm so happy for you, and I'm so happy that you're HAPPY! You deserve it. Email me anytime to talk weddings -- even though mine is over, I still love talking about them. :)
from gwumpysmurf :
you're engaged? boy are you lucky, me and my friend bitch about how we arent every day, we've both been with our boyfriends for over two years... boys, shesh
from simplify :
hey, are you engaged? hee hee. congratulations. i hope you enjoy your 11 months of engagement and the wedding planning process.
from heylee :
HOLY COW!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I am so happy for you and Matt! Yay!!! Now we're both going to be busy with wedding details!!! Your engagement story was soooo sweet!! Congrats again and hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family!
from heylee :
Ohhhhhhh, you got a kitchenaide mixer?!?!?! I am so jealous! Glad you had a good weekend though. :D
from maestra44 :
That is the cutest baby I have ever seen. She looks like a little imp in that picture though. I bet she was amazingly smart!
from heylee :
mmmmm...baja fresh sounds like a good lunch for today. I love the afternoon weather here. The morning freezing coldness is a little annoying though. Your holiday party sounds like it's really fun. We usually just have a big bar-b-q here at work and have nice prizes and can bring our family. Aren't freeways at rush hour just the devil?
from heylee :
Hey, we could be founding members of the Round Face Apple Cheeks Club! LOL!!! I love your pictures. Those sunsets are awesome. I think I saw that beach with the seals on a trip up to Big Sur.
from heylee :
Great pics!!! I love your pink outfit!!! Matt looks like a young Santa Claus in the last picture with the snow on his facial hair! *g*
from heylee :
The pig farmers sound...well...interesting? :D They're a real life of the party, eh? Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Thanks for the note about my job. Ice cream definitely helped
from heylee :
Welcome Back!!! Still jealous of your vacation though. hehe. Pics please! I completely understand the need to actually bond with another female on a trip. I've gone on one too many trips with other couples that just don't understand the whole 'Vacation' thing. heh.
from heylee :
Have fun in Tahoe and Happy early Thanksgiving. No entries until the 6th?!?!?! What will I ever do with my time? ;)
from heylee :
Hope you feel better soon. Tahoe?!?! I'm soooo jealous!
from heylee :
One Word..."PIZOOKIE!" bwahahaha.
from minired :
Hellooooo!! I just remembered for those who don't have a guestbook, there is this cool "leave a note" section in dland. I just left Kimmy a note, and I wanted to leave you one, too. I'm trying to catch up on your diary -- so far, I've only read from some of the recent entries, but I plan on starting at the beginning so I can get a sense of the "whole" and because I have questions -- like, did you get married recently? I read the entry where you moved into a new place and it sounded like your fabulous man lives there, too. I'm so happy that you've found a wonderful love!! You SO deserve happiness! But, give me the SCOOP! :)
from heylee :
Thanks so much!!! Glad to hear your reunion went fine. Have a good day. :D
from heylee :
Hi elle-78! Thanks for the note. I feel better about my rant right now. heh. Sorry I didn't leave you a note sooner. I can totally simpathize with you on the whole frustrating/ moving with a boyfriend thing. My bf was the same way, he would completely lose sight of the main objective of unpacking and get sidetracked! grrr...gotta love 'em though.
from mstblue :
Wow, what a story! It's really bothering me b/c my fiance and I have to go to the "filth mat" right now until we move, and I always feel awkward! Sorry that happend, pray for me lol!
from waztukin :
Selling your car is traumatic. I have sold three before. I have the worst luck with cars to begin with... a story for another time! But, yeah, if he wants to sell it, I have total sympathy for the ordeal. And it sounds like your neighbor is a gossip.
from waztukin :
Thanks for checking out my diary. It seems that we might have a lot in common. And, oddly enough, I have a friend named Elle. (Short for Janelle.) Keep writing.. I'll keep reading. :)
from periwinkel :
hey there. i echo your statements, good favorites have you, indeed. i read a little bit of your diary, i will continue reading more when i am awake and perhaps better able to comprehend :). sleep is good. yeah. i wish i could watch a lovely movie but i have busy days basically until i die, so...take care! talk to you sometime.
