aw! goodbye! i suppose i should have a proper farewell for my diary too, but i'm too lazy to. i'll contact you using other means. stay tuned.
from penmaster :
dear LAWD!! i know what you mean about roommates. that is why i have chosen to live without them even though i am slogging through making the monthly rent without the extra income. and if you know SF rent then you know it's mad $$$$$$
from penmaster :
i hope the hydroxycut thing works out for you...be careful tho. those things scare me sometimes.
from emilylime :
i feel that way about life a lot.. are we too idealistic or naive or something? bleh...
from neshachan :
I can't think of any good reasons, I can think of a lot of sarcastic ones, though! Money, power, land, oil, to support the military machine, but none of those sound like very educated or respectable answers for a person such as myself to give, so I will say.. we fight coz it's mostly human nature... and as much as I like to think humans are intelligent enough to form a utopian, peaceful society, the fact remains that there will alwas be some guy (or girl) who will punch you in the face just for sitting there. I can hope it will change but I don't find it likely. (Also, that movie sounds familiar but I can't remember if I have seen it or not...)
from sekritsquirl :
no that didnt scare me. the problem is that when i was like 13 or something i went to stay with some friends in iowa. well the two adults that i was staying with got their eight year old daughter and myself drunk, well themselves too, then brought us on the boat at midnight and the husband then proceeded to tell me about how he found a dead body in a lake, that kind of ruined it for me! you live in hawaii? thats so cool, how do you like it there?
from sekritsquirl :
well out of the water its fine, although i must say that i have never eaten it. its just in the water that it freaks me out! Spooks!!!
from neshachan :
don't give up blogging, I'd miss you!
from sekritsquirl :
definitly do not change sexes, that would be odd!
from neshachan :
I call kids like that "poster children for birth control."
from neshachan :
Thank you for the sweet note! :)
from twitchygeek :
hey, cutie. been forever and a day since i've been on here, and i was curious to see how you've been. just wanted to drop by and show some love, so... LOVE!
from neshachan :
Hey there, I wrote about it all in my LJ, because I didn't want it to be public information. You can check on it over there if you like, or email me if not.
from penmaster :
Dear Little Ole You, I'm in SF and probably always will be. Sincerely, me.
from emilylime :
i'm still reading your diary. i write in livejournal now though because i have gotten sick of diaryland.
from penmaster :
thanks for the note. if you ever need a date... ;-)
from neshachan :
Awe, I feel bad for you.. but I would say my best advice in the situation is to make friends with someone first instead of thinking about dating right off the bat. Few people have ever found their "dream girl/boy" or a serious, permanant relationship with some stranger they met at a bar, or some person who absolutely immidiately wanted to "hook up" with them at first sight. Real relationships are based on deeper things than that. Keep in there, I know you will be okay, coz you are a sweet and sensitive guy.
from emilylime :
hey, i'm doing fine, it's 70 degrees here right now. going home in two weeks, which i'm excited about. sorry, i've only been writing in my livejournal now, and you have to log in to read my entries. hope all is well with you!
from emilylime :
imogen heap is a solo artist who, along with some dude, formed frou frou.
from emilylime :
awesome mmm food and juice, and i love of montreal. i came very close to seeing of montreal, but got dizzy to the point of sickness (one beer + prescription allergy medicine, whoops) so i had to leave before they started playing.
from emilylime :
hah :) have a nice time at home!
from emilylime :
haha, that dvd cover is awesome
from exiles :
thanks for the heads up. I had no idea, actually for some reason it was only with internet explorer, which i don't use..i use firefox...anyways i fixed it. thanks.
from neshachan :
For some reason I haven't been able to read your journal lately. It just loads a plain white page. I don't know if it's a problem on your end or D*Land's but I just thought I'd let you know. It's been like that for about the past 4 or 5 entries.
from emilylime :
maybe that's how you're supposed to wear your new uniform... without pants. haha. i'm glad your stepmother is doing better!
from penmaster :
freaky...i was watching "what dreams may come" the other day too...
from theophanu :
I know. I really don't know why I did it, too since I'm not quite sure if I even want to know. It wouldn't make a difference either.
from missdove :
Hey Grant...well thanks for the note...I"m alive and all, just really busy dealing with work and my family. Been sooo tired and stressed and just not really able or even willing to sit here and write. Hopefully I'll feel different soon. Just wanted to drop you a lil note and now I"ve gotta get back off here, eat some breakfast and get off to work. Take care...Natalie :)
from plume :
Well, see the thing about reality tv is.. it's a lie. Reality wouldn't get good enough ratings, so they have to spice it up. It's like that new chocolate milk in Danish stores. It's called "classic" yet it's a "new and improved flavour". What the hell does that mean? If it's new and improved then how can it be classic? That's because classic means old, and old is crap. If old was good then it would have never changed. But it was crap so they changed it. But they still call it classic, because the word sounds good. Just like "reality tv". My ass. So anyway, back to work for me.
from missy-17 :
well have you read the notes some of the other bitches have sent me, oh i am boring, hey u use up to much diary space on boring things, that is what they tell me, well i say back to them well if i am so boring then dont read my diary intries and dont complain about MY diary, ya know what i mean?
from emilylime :
yikes i'm so behind on your diary! i'm catching up slowly though... i'm glad you have power there. take care.
from missdove :
My days off weren't bad. Thanks as always for the note! :) I hope everything is going well for you up in NY.
from missdove :
Thanks for the note. I hope things go well for you too at Fort Bruin and with meeting that girl from myspace.
from missy-17 :
thanx
from missdove :
I would feel a lil uneasy about flying just like you said. I'm sure it will go ok though. As for the daydreaming/roaming thoughts, I do that a lot as well.
from missy-17 :
oh shut upp! (just jokin)
from missdove :
Hey Grant, well thank you for the recent notes. Shoo things have been, man...busy and crazy. My finger is doing better though, so yay! Well I'm not sure what advice I'd give you about Traci and Ellen, but ya know I wish ya luck! I must say I soooo agree with a lot of what you said about the army, and Bush, and just how we seem sooo stretched and its crazy how long it took to get the help out there to the victims. Oh and I read your entire 100 things, well 99...I ALWAYS laugh/giggle at 69 too. Oh and yeah Jessica Alba is hot, I rented Sin City on dvd when it came out...oh man...ummm...yeah no further comment. ;) lol
from theophanu :
I just wanted to say that every German person I know (and that are many) would boo David Hasselhoff off stage. He's not popular here, that's just a conspiracy because people in America like Rammstein jk
from missdove :
Just wanted to say thanks for the notes! :) Yesterday was kind of a rough day, and I've gotta get ready to go to work soon, so sorry this is short, and sorry I am behind on your diary. I hope all is well, and I get the chance to sit here and read up soon. Take care! :) Oh and to answer your ?, I'm now working in the deli and UGH, I've never done that before and its more work then one would think. I don't know all those meats, and you have to know all the codes, and I had to learn the slicing machines, and ahhhhhhhhh! I don't know if this job and I are a fit at all. :( I really wanted to overnight stock, as I said better pay and guaranteed hours, but no no no...blah. Yeah I'm feeling blah. Oh well, take care, and hopefully I'll catch up soon.
from missy-17 :
yea thats what i am planning on doing, thanx
from missdove :
Oooooh the Phoenix and Wolverine...nice! :) I'm sorry to read about how you've been feeling lately, it's been a "bad" week for me here too, so I feel ya. I'm glad it sounds like you and Traci have been having a good time chatting, that something seems to be making you smile. No need to rush, and go jumping into anything, just enjoy it would be my advice. I agree with you 100%, people with good hearts do seem harder to find. I also agree with you as I'm sure you know about those illusions of childhood. Well anyhow...Hang in there! :)
from missdove :
Thank you for the last couple of notes, and the e-mail, I appreciate them. :) You didn't have to tell me who you are in the e-mail though like I don't know, I know who you are silly. Its been what, 2 years of reading your diary, or something like that. :) Anyhow I will check out your myspace one when I get the chance, and it would be cool to chat sometime on Aim, so yeah thats fine. Until then take care. :)
from missy-17 :
please ask me that at [email protected] i dont like telling everyone unless they ask so email me ok!!
from missy-17 :
i dont like my diary its just a place that i can express all my feelings and thoughts, that email address is mine!!!
from missy-17 :
hey, so you like my diary?????
from missdove :
Dark water was that bad? You know what I think looks "interesting", the Skeleton Key. Thanks for the note! Yes you are soooo right, in a way it does make it harder for us, and YES we do need to find people who are the same, it can be hard though. Oh and did you get your guestbook entry I left you the other day instead of a note?! Well I hope so! :)
from missy-17 :
hey read kickinkurst diary he wants everybody to read it!!! ( pass this on)
from missdove :
Yeah us thinker types, watch out world! lol Glad you are having such a good time with myspace, that you found the girl from your childhood and all, that's great! :)
from missy-17 :
oh yea a thanx for having my diary as one of ur favs!!!!!
from missy-17 :
hey, thanx for the advise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!love ya
from missy-17 :
hey sweets, look at my diary now!!!it has somethin you would never beleive a young lady like me would have gone through!!!
from missy-17 :
if youhave read my diary already, it wasnt what you were expecting, eh??? yea i know the plain and simple BORING stuff
from missy-17 :
well you might not like it, cause its all plain and shit, but who knows maybe somebody will like it!!!
from missy-17 :
hey, whats new today??? anyway i like your profile!! ;)
from missdove :
Whoa...should I say congrats on the new girl? If you are completely comfortable maybe you should tell her, that is kind of strong for her to come on. I would give her a chance though, she may not seem to be your type, but you never know, and especially with the net, people can be different on here. I'm sure all the attention, and the praise is like...woo hooo...but if you aren't ready to leap, don't rush yourself. If she really likes you she should understand. At any rate best of luck! :) If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here to listen.
from missdove :
Thanks for the notes! :) Yeah such a shame Vin didn't appear for me, oh I was so let down! LOL If only our fantasies could be made real, just wished into existence, oh well. I don't know what I'd do about a roomate like that, it would really bother me too, especially if it were a constant thing. Hang in there and hopefully you'll get a new one soon.
from missdove :
I laughed at your horse being hung comments. Glad you made it through without passing out, no one wants a thermometer up their ass...eek! Thanks for the note...yeah where I've had all the images for my diary has been acting up, so blah it's just driving me up the wall, feel like just saying screw it. They probably still aren't showing up, blah, oh well, poo on them! Anyhow, take care. :)
from missdove :
Just a note to say I hope everything is going well! :)
from missdove :
I'm sorry about your foot and the heat headaches. Man, yeah I agree, doctors can be SUCH a-holes, I've about had it with them too between my grandparents and my brother, blah. That really sucks how she just won't listen about your foot...argh! I hope the next couple weeks go well for you. Good luck!
from emilylime :
wow, that's crazy that your theater teacher and your dad were on the show.. hehe :)
from missdove :
Thanks for the notes, especially the last one. :) I loved Batman Begins, although it was weird not having a batmobile, ya know?! I liked when he was driving on the building tops though, and Christian Bale did a much better job of playing batman/bruce than I thought he would! Sorry about your friend, and don't get on yourself too much, we all "snap" sometimes, no matter how much restraint we usually show, we're all only human.
from alwayslolita :
moved: http://www.alwayslolita.net/alwayslolitablog/
from emilylime :
grrr... that sucks! yeah, i hate it when people don't take me seriously. everything should be ok though because you apologized. and he definitely was being disrespectful. i'm sorry that you have to deal with that. and yeah, sometimes it really does seem that some people can put less effort into things and get away with it/be rewarded. the world is strange... =\
from neshachan :
Hey, I do not usually support agression and anyway, but from what you said, I'd say that guy's actions were agressive to begin with, so he should have been prepared for making you angry. Don't guilt yourself too much over this one, I think you'll be okay.
from emilylime :
sweet... i wish i could visit new orleans someday. and now that batman begins has your approval, i'm more open to seeing it :)
from plume :
Batman seems to be getting good press. At least what I have seen of it. I'm looking forward to it now. With Katie in it, it can't be all bad anyway.
from plume :
Everyone is fragile, everyone is falling apart. Just a matter of time. ..I'm so goth
from alwayslolita :
i emailed it to you at the email address on your diary. is that the wrong email address? if it is give me the real one.
from alwayslolita :
gosh, i miss new orleans. did you get a chance to go to the quarter? there's some great fudge to be had at the jax brewery as well.
from emilylime :
glad to know your stepmom is doing well. i hope your grandma's ok too. i have a friend doing JET next year; i hear it pays really well.
from missdove :
Wow that was a long entry, but it moved me. :) I sure hope your grandma is ok, and I'm glad to hear about your stepmom. I'm glad you wrote that entry, let all that out, doesn't it just feel good to let it go? I know it does, gosh I haven't been doing that too well lately. Sleep well.
from emilylime :
aw, dolphins :) hahaha... slow kids
from alwayslolita :
actually the guy in korea was a GI, who is there for training or whatever. he was stationed at schofield. so i couldn't give him my number cause he'll be back at schofield in june. it could be a potential stalker situation.
from missdove :
Thanks for the note. They've been moving you around a lot keeping you busy, but I think that's a good thing, is it not? Sounds like you had a good time with your friend out and about, and haha your friend and his lightsaber, man I have no comment for that other than I feel like a big kid a lot too. I'm glad that over all you seem happier with how things are going. :) Yeah I just, a lot of drama has been going on here and I just haven't been in writing mood really, and I didn't want to force myself to write. Oh you are yoda, haha, I'd love to be the lil green guy, he was always, and will always be one of my Star Wars faves! Yeah I took the test, just added my results to the end of my last entry. I came up more Anakin then anything...OMG I can't believe that, have mixed feeling about that one, haha. Anyhow let me stop rambling, take care. :)
from alwayslolita :
nothing wrong with being proud of your attributes and accomplishments. btw my mom read one of your articles in the guardian. you're famous!
from missdove :
Just wanted to say that I hope everything is going well. :)
from plume :
take care in Arkansas
from missdove :
Sorry your roomate is back and driving you crazy already, that sucks. Hang in there!
from missdove :
Hey Grant, Thanks for writing, I don't have time now, I'll get back to you later. :) Just wanted to comment that I have ALWAYS adored Seth Green! I don't know why, he is soooo shrimpy, haha, but there is just something about him, maybe the fact that I've always found him funny. I haven't seen him in that yet though, hmmm...I'm kinda scared to see him "that way", ya know?! haha I'm sure I'll watch it sooner or later...have you seen Without a Paddle? That had some pretty funny moments in it. Anyhow thanks again. -Natalie
from missdove :
Just a hello, yeah I know whatcha mean broken hearts can drive us to many wacky decisions. Been there, yep...and yeah, before recent events, those things I blabbed at ya about in your guestbook and in my most recent entry, I was all sad and missing love too. It really hurts sometimes, when you are a person that thrives off of feeling close and connected to others to have no one in your life like that is soooo hard. So yeah, it's only natural to go back in time and think of past loves, especially when they meant something to you. Anyhow...I watched dark angel a little bit when it was on tv, jessica alba is HOT! ;) LOL Oooooh did I just say that?! lol It was a good show, well the ones that I did watch, but oh well, good shows don't last, at least I still have smallville to watch, yay!
from alwayslolita :
it's funny the kind of decisions you'll make on a broken heart. i remember when you went through all that stuff with viva. we all survive, don't we?
from alwayslolita :
perhaps if you get to come home on leave we should have coffee and grab a movie or something. i have also wondered these things myself. a lot of times i think my diary is my soul, my inner self, that is not always visible to the people who actually know me. but at the same time, the person you are on the outside is mighty important too. i've never met anyone i've met online before, unless you count joe, but he never read my diary. i have a diaryland friend lani that i've been trying to meet when she comes home on vacations to visit her mother. but things always came up and we never got a chance to meet. but i have spoken to her on the phone. do you write and take pictures for the guardian? i told my parents about you. they think what you're doing there is neat. and they feel sorry that you have to be in fort puke. i read what you wrote about your adventure going to see sin city. i had to laugh. so leesville, it's not even funny. you should try to drive down to new orleans. have you gone to the mall yet in alex or lake charles? you should get out of fort polk for awhile and take a road trip if it is possible for you. go see the bayou. go to NO and eat some real cajun food. actually i like the food at jack's all ya need. it's on 171 closer to anacoco, it's a gas station. sometimes the best food is at gas stations in the south. if you haven't go check it out. i like to get the sausage sandwich with fries. yeah, go to NO and get a hurricane and wander around the quarter and get some fudge at the jax brewery, and have some chicory coffee and begniets at the cafe du monde. there are interesting things to be found in louisiana, it isn't all ass.
from emilylime :
:( maybe you should ask your dad what he thinks? i hope things get better for you.
from alwayslolita :
thanks for your support, grant. always appreciated. i've come to a lot of realizations over the course of this very long day. also leesville is full of white trash. i spent quite a bit of time there and you will get no arguments from me.
from elliorange :
*hugs*
from emilylime :
thanks so much for the note, grant. i'm sorry i was all like "boo my life sucks," i guess i just needed to get it all out. i think i'll look for that book you mentioned too :) hope things get better with your roommate... =\
from emilylime :
looking at the previous comment from your friend, i find it really odd cuz diaryland is definitely down for me much more often than LJ. but it might be because i'm not a gold member, and every time i try to update at 11 am, 4 pm, and 10 pm, diaryland doesn't let me because "the traffic on the new servers is overloaded." i definitely agree with you, grant, though that i don't like how LJ can't be customized so easily. i still don't understand how to do it, and i'd figured out diaryland pretty easily, surprisingly enough. yeah, i still use both diaries for that same reason :)
from neshachan :
I just want to let you know, as someone who maintains several blogs, that LJ goes down at least twice as often as D-Land.. the last LJ outage was very major. I like both D-Land and LJ.. LJ for it's friends lists and communities and D-Land for it's awesome customization options (it's much harder and more expensive to customize LJ). I like them both. =)
from missdove :
Hey Grant...man yeah D-land has been really wacking out lately, but I'd miss you if you left it for livejournal full time. :( Does that sound silly to say I'd miss you? I hope not, because I would! Oh well...anyhow, sorry you've been having a crappy time, and awwww your dream about the baby, so CUTE! Maybe it was trying to tell you something...and *sigh* babies, kids, they change EVERYTHING they really do. People keep pestering me when I'm going to finally "settle down" and have some, and argh, just because I'm 27 now doesn't mean I have to go that route just yet, sheesh! There are times when I'm not sure I want to anymore, because of so many things...then there are others, a lot of times when I'm around my sister's kids that I think...awww I WANT a baby right now! haha Anyhow...thought I'd say hello, take care. Your D-land Friend, -Nat/MissDove :)
from emilylime :
of course, livejournal sometimes malfunctions too... but i don't think it does half as much as diaryland does.
from missdove :
Hey Grant, thanks for the notes, the one wishing me to feel better and the newer one about not rushing back to exercising and stuff. To answer your question, I hmmm...I've been falling for this girl, and well, it's been weird for me, up and down, and it's been hard to write about it, write about it here...yeah. I'm not really trying to keep it a "secret", well not really, I just, it's kind of private ya know, and being "new", I don't wanna jinx it, or push it, does that sound silly? So yeah, I have refrained from saying certain things over in my diary like a big chickenshit...haha. Oh well...thanks for always reading me, and I hope all is well there.
from emilylime :
you know you don't have to pay for diaryland... although then you wouldn't have image hosting (but you could get free image hosting from photobucket.com), and sometimes you wouldn't be able to add an entry (grr). but if you're looking to try something new, i like livejournal a lot... it's really different from diaryland, so it took some getting used to, but i definitely like it better now. it's got some features that diaryland doesn't have; for example, you can make certain entries visible only to livejournal friends who are logged in. hope this helps :)
from emilylime :
wow, that's a very interesting dream.. maybe you can turn it into a real tv show =p haha
from alwayslolita :
maybe you gained muscle? it's stupid that they don't consider that to be an option. obviously muscle weighs more than fat. that's common knowledge. but to ask the army to have any sort of intelligence or knowledge at all is asking quite a bit.
from missdove :
I'm really trying to get that writing feeling back, to feel inspired. I'm sure you know how hard that can be sometimes. I'm glad to hear that things are going ok with the move and new roomie. I also wanted to comment that I know exactly what you mean about things from when you are younger not feeling the same, it kind of sucks sometimes. A girl who is a lil neurotic huh?! Oh boy, Grant is that really a good thing? Then again it beats having some boring, non-emotional, passionless, more socially acceptable sort...personality is a MUST, I so totally agree, and I think I'd rather have a lil bit too much, boardering on the neurotic, than none at all. Maybe we are both crazy, haha...because yep I think I find myself attracted to those more "odd" types.
from missdove :
Hey Grant! I wanted to thank you for that note back last week, it made me smile, made me feel that at least someone cared. My friends have been distant, worthless jerks lately, which hurts. :( Anyhow...I'm sorry about you getting moved to be with that roomate, I wouldn't want to be there either, sounds like asking for trouble, and who needs that. I feel and know exactly what you mean about always trying to help people, and it just, I don't know, it takes a lot out of you sometimes, yeah. Hang in there!
from emilylime :
harold and kumar was actually pretty funny. i totally didn't want to see it but ended up liking it. as for other movies with asians in them, better luck tomorrow (which has the guy who played harold in harold and kumar) was overrated.
from neshachan :
D'oh, I like Asian guys, we have a very active exchange program at school here, but alas whenever I meet an Asian male he always seems to be attached to an Asian female.. alas.. ;_;
from alwayslolita :
you're right about what you've said about asian men. it's a bone of contention in the asian community. and don't think that the asian ladies are getting a fair shake. that whole dragon lady ancient chinese sexual secret bullshit is just as bad. asian men are seen as side kicks. at best martial arts aficionados. at worst the dork down the street who's good at math. perhaps somewhere in the middle is the asian triad yakuza member. as an actor it's hard to be placed somewhere else and to land a mainstream, love interest part. what mainstream movie can you think of where the lead actor is asian? joy luck club? alright. martial arts action movie. alright. that's about it. forget about romantic comedies. it ain't gonna happen. i used to have a problem with asian men i suppose. but then i met joe and realized that they're not all the same. also i do think you have a problem where you're a people pleaser and you feel the need to solve other people's problems. and you're perfectly right when you say that people have to solve their own problems. you don't have to be a hero. just take good care of yourself, there's enough heroism in that. try not to let this guy's problems wear you down. from reading your diary i know that you've gotten used up a lot. take this opportunity to change the pattern in your life. but be careful this guy sounds like he could have some psychotic tendancies that you don't want to mess around with. just give him a wide berth. okay. this is a long one. sorry
from emilylime :
yikes, good luck with that. journalism can be so stressful..
from emilylime :
=)
from emilylime :
evidently, my brain is not as girly as yours... i got 2/3 female, 1/3 male
from missdove :
Not feeling blabby, just wanted to say thanks for the note. Oh, yeah I miss 80's tv too!
from missdove :
Yeah lasagna...mmm...a man who likes to cook, cool! :) I didn't watch the grammy's you make it sound like I didn't miss much. I like the new image on your diary, hehe. ;) Glad you had a restful weekend. Happy Valentine's Day Grant!
from missdove :
I'm so glad to hear you made it through the march and it didn't bother you again. I'd definitely keep an eye on it though! There was only 1 commercial I really liked during the superbowl, the one with the man in the kitchen cooking, and the cat gets all up on the counters so he grabs it, has a knife in his hand and his woman walks in. I don't know that just cracked me up, and besides I'm not a cat person, so haha. That starburst commercial you mention, man, better never be any boyfriend or whatever of mine. ;) Funny in a sort of creepy way...Bob/Mr.Enzyte, that dude is a trip, they found the perfect guy to play him, give those commercials that truly corny feel. Lastly on the subject I for some reason LOVE that skittles commercial, the three friends on the rainbow, and the one questions it and falls through...believe the rainbow, taste the rainbow...haha. Oh and YES, sometimes people should have little X's, I'd love to close some of them off, haha. :)
from emilylime :
hehe... that X on people's foreheads thing made me laugh :)
from emilylime :
maybe you should get that heart thing checked..
from missdove :
Awww I could just feel the mood of that entry, I'm sorry Grant, I'd say cheer up, but well I know it isn't that easy. Also you better be careful, that whole thing with your heart reminds me of my brother's problem, well sort of, any time you are having an irregular heart beat it is wise to pay attention. Did you tell anyone, get checked out? It could be a sign of something, and though it stopped and you were feeling better, it is better to be safe than sorry, ya know! I hope all goes ok on that 8 mile trek, take care and becareful.
from missdove :
Oh yes I do indeed know EXACTLY what you mean about people taking an instance and using it to decide you are a particular way, fit a certain mold. I hate that crap! Sometimes it is even worse when you do your damn best to change their minds and it still doesn't seem to work, been there tried that. Though I think that if you want to "throw it back in their face", prove to them they are wrong, you SHOULD do it! In-fact there are certain things I'm dying to prove to some fools right now even, it just doesn't always work though. Anyhow...man they just suck, try not to let it get to you too much, I know easier said than done, oh boy do I know.
from missdove :
I soooo agree with you, MTV sucks! Way too much reality crap and those simpsons...ewww!
from missdove :
Thank you very much for the note Grant! :) I hope today finds you well, take care, happy Saturday!
from missdove :
Awww...sorry to read about your continued woes, your back and feet problems. I don't know if I could shoot a gun like that, it doesn't bother you? Just hang in there! :)
from missdove :
Hey Grant! I really wanted to thank you for the note, gosh, seems like you are the only one who has missed me writing. Then again I haven't really tried, nor put in a lot of effort to build up a readership here on d-land, but still...oh well...anyhow thank you, it made me smile. I don't know what was up with me, I was just really in a funk and writing just, I don't know, I wasn't feeling it I suppose. I hate getting that in a funk feeling, ya know?! Blab blab, you're gonna be a baller huh?! hehe...man I love shooting hoops, that's great to get out there and be more active with people. I think I've really fallen into antisocial mode, it happens with me sometimes, that's probably the sort of thing I need to do, just go get involved in something. I know what you mean about fighting against your own head. I'm sure they weren't really trying to ignore passing you the ball, well even if that was the case, just hang in there and after a bit when they feel more confident in you I'm sure that will change. Gosh this is a long note huh?! Ok let me shutup, oh and I hope your foot feels better! :)
from alwayslolita :
grant, i think it's great that you're getting out there and being more social. i know it's hard when no one seems to be like you. it's hard to socialize. and even people who claim to be such loners need people too. human beings are social creatures. so i'm very happy that you've joined the basketball team. hopefully you meet some folks to go grab a beer with after a game. that'll be nice.
from alwayslolita :
nothing wrong with fortune cookies. except of course for how they taste, i never did care for the taste of fortune cookies. but thanks for your concern, it is much appreciated.
from emilylime :
oh never mind, i figured out how to fix it. yay
from emilylime :
no, i didn't change my pw. diaryland fucked it up, and i don't know how to access my diary anymore >: |
from emilylime :
thanks so much for that note, grant. it made me feel better, seriously :) oh, and that's crazy about the movie theater. i never would have imagined it. i don't know how to end this note except to say... flaaaava flav (hah.. that was dumb)
from emilylime :
sorry about your foot :( you should totally switch to livejournal though! plume and i are on it =p
from emilylime :
ooh! happy belated birthday :) and a happy new year to you too!
from deepblue3 :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
from plume :
happy new year. Hope you have a bang
from deepblue3 :
Merry Christmas, Grant. Best wishes & I hope you get a present to unwrap before the day is through - even if it is something small. Take care. *hugs*
from alwayslolita :
oh my gosh, grant! you're in fort polk. my family lives there. i went to high school at leesville. there is NOTHING to do out there, especially if you don't have a car. the px isn't all that great. i feel your pain!
from alwayslolita :
heh, i think chong is an aiea thing. all my friends call it a chong.
from emilylime :
yikes! i'm sorry you had to deal with all of that craziness. at least you're finally back home now. i hope your knee isn't injured =\
from missdove :
Hey Grant, thanks for the note! :) To answer your question things have not been well here in what I get to call a life, blah. I'm VERY behind too on everything, I'm sorry about that because I have always enjoyed reading your diary since I first happened across it. I just now added an update to mine after almost a month, behind behind behind, so accept my apology for not being current with yours, and KNOW that I will catch up, and that I hope things are going well with you. In reading your diary I've always felt like I related to you a lot, so, I really hope things are ok, you know?! Take care, and no matter what we just have to hang in there. -Natalie :)
from six30 :
Hey! You're back! I'm here these days: http://frecklestof.com. Good to read that you're still hanging in there.
from emilylime :
haha, the one time i gave blood, i felt like such a good person. but i kinda don't weigh very much, so it took me a while to recover from it. =\
from emilylime :
hey grant! sorry things aren't going that well with the military. i like livejournal a lot, if you are looking for a new journal.
from neshachan :
I'm glad you are back, journalwise! You are close to me in Maryland!
from plume :
It's a big world out there, take care. But like Em says, you can still update even if your membership expires. You know, if inspiration hits.
from emilylime :
you don't need to pay in order to use diaryland... but i don't really like it so much anymore anyway. best of luck with everything, grant. it was great to be able to read your diary and somehow know you through your writing.
from emilylime :
you will :) you're such a sweet, thoughtful, and funny guy. probably cute too (i don't think i've seen pictures..?) because asians are such good-looking people ;)
from emilylime :
that doesn't make sense to me... wouldn't punishing everyone build up resentment among everyone?
from twitchygeek :
heeeey, hunny; welcome back! and thanks for the well wishes for my birthday. a great time was had, and i'm definitely enjoying being the big, granddaddy 2-1. ;) stop worrying about the nuetral points in your life--i used to be the same way. relax and revel in the fact that there's nothing going on to worry over or deeply ponder. take some time to smell the spiked fruit punch. ::hugs::
from elliorange :
Do you talk to people there, ya know vent about how you're feeling? Since you feel you can't write you feelings down anymore, do you have anyone you could confide in just yet? Or... are the relationships just surface relationships because you don't know how long ya'll will be together?
from elliorange :
Hugs. You need to vent. Just let it all out.
from six30 :
Hey! Glad things are more relaxed for you in Meade. Gary and I are on vacation in Halifax at the moment. It's raining all the time and it's kind of on the cold side, but it's so nice to be on holidays regardless. My login is UN: jskw, PW: sixthirty. Take care!
from penmaster :
wow...you survived!!!! *hug*
from plume :
Take care of yourself now ya hear. Good luck with everything to come.
from neshachan :
Wow, so nice to hear from you! I've been wondering about ya'! Congrats on all of your hard work and take care :)
from six30 :
Great to hear from you out of Fort Jackson! Thanks for saying hi to all of us.
from elliorange :
What a surprise! I'm glad that you are doing well, Grant. :)
from emilylime :
whoa! grant! it was a nice surprise to see that you'd updated your diary. hope you've been doing well :)
from six30 :
my goodness, the trials and tribulations that you have to endure even BEFORE you go to basic training. you are going to be one strong person in mind and body later. take care! i'll be thinking of you and how you are!
from lip-service :
take care. be tough...grrrrr.
from plume :
Best love interest..ever! I hope you'll have a good time, such as it is and can be. We'll put up the bat signal if we need you.
from penmaster :
 good luck, Grant!!!!
from elliorange :
♥ Keep safe, love.
from sweetliz2000 :
Have you watched Amelie yet? I look forward to hearing what you think of it. I think it's the most beautiful movie.
from plume :
Who's going to be Batman in the next movie? I read something about a Batman vs Superman movie. Hmm. I wonder if that'll happen.
from elliorange :
♥ Oh, Grant. I'm going to miss you. Please take care and stay well. Lots of love!
from plume :
I just wanted it to be noted that I was going to be helpful and answer the guestbook thing too. Darn my slowness.
from alwayslolita :
are you talking about guestbook entries or notes entries, cause i don't know how to get rid of notes entries. as for rings, you can go to your edit page under rings and delete rings. then you can go to you rings page in your diary and delete the codes. getting paranoid, eh?
from emilylime :
guestbook: go to members.signmyguestbook.com/edit and log in. diaryrings: go to members.diaryland.com/edit, log in, go to your info-->your diaryrings. hope all is well yo.
from plume :
hope it's all going well. bring back the superman in you
from elliorange :
♥ Hugs, baby boy. I hope you feel better.
from plume :
I love that puppet there. That is cool. And you make a great joker. If Tim Burton ever makes Batman 7 and brings him back, you're a shoe-in.
from emilylime :
feel better grant!
from alwayslolita :
yes, you simply must stay away from leeches. you're too nice of a guy. you need to put your foot down. people will ultimately have more respect for you if you do. and i HATE it absolutely HATE it, when people don't have the common decency to return a phone call within a decent period of time. or call you to let you know they're going to be late or can't make it. that's a big pet peeve of mine and i just had a huge fight with a friend over that very subject. but she's apologized and promised to try harder in the future. so i've forgiven her for now. but do not trust her to follow through. we shall see. i have no faith in people. which is a flaw of mine. but anyway. i'm still up. it's 548 in the damn morning and i've not been to sleep yet. and i'm wishing someone could bonk me on the head with something so that i could be unconscious. ah... yes. that would be loverly
from sweetliz2000 :
Better stay away from us deliberate brutal sex dreamers! Mwuahaha!
from alwayslolita :
so you never answered my question. where's basic for you? i'm kind of jealous (in a good unresentful way) as you embark on this new chapter of your life. you're going on an adventure that's going to change your life hopefully for the better. i'm so excited for you! a new adventure. with medical benefits and access to the px and commissary and gas station on base! what could be better. tho they're not paying you fellows enough for being in freaking iraq, like they should be. deployment bonuses seem to be a thing of the past. which is a fucking shame. bush claims to be so patriotic and he won't even pay our soldiers what they deserve for putting their lives on the line supposedly for our country. asshole. some commander in chief. sorry.... got off on a little tangent there. heh. you know me!
from six30 :
feb. 18 2004 -- happy last day of work! i'm imagining all the places you get to see. drop me a line to let me know where you're being shipped to for basic training.
from i-n-c-jewel :
:)
from emilylime :
yay, no more sucky job :) man... i just had to read peter pan for class and the book spends a lot of time discussing what is good/bad form in capt. hook's opinion. yeah cold weather sucks... it was like 5 degrees out today, ew. so when do you have to leave and everything? you'll have to email me your contact info! take care :)
from alwayslolita :
what are you going to do with all your stuff? where is basic?
from elliorange :
♥ I'm gonna miss you!
from emilylime :
yuck, that is totally uncool of her. man, if i wanted to go to the beach (well, a WARM beach), i'd have to drive like 20 hours or something... hahha
from deepblue3 :
Nah, you're right. What Viva did was in bad taste. Even if you're broke up and everyone is over everyone, it's still rude. *hugs* Sorry I didn't say it yesterday - Happy Valentine's Day.
from elliorange :
♥ The way you reacted was normal. That was just, plainly, rude of her... and I believe she knew what she was doing. I'm sure many people have told you that you're just going to learn from the experience with her, and... it's true. I bet your eyes are open much wider now. Everything will fall into place sooner or later. I don't think you wasted your love... because... it was your love. She's the one who wasted your love. You're adoring, and the right person will find you!
from upmywall :
gosh ... the beach sounds so nice right now ...
from elliorange :
♥ Happy Valentine's Day!
from alwayslolita :
love the title: Abrupt Mourning. it's fitting.
from elliorange :
♥ I think the talent on this American Idol is far better than last year's Idol. People this year are staying on pitch better. Last year, even some of the kids that made the top 10 shouldn't have been there. Some were pretty bad. Oh, and I've seen that ESPN soap opera! ;) But most important, I hope you keep writing!! *hugs*
from sweetliz2000 :
Even if you decide not to write in dland when you can, at least let us all know how you're doing!
from alwayslolita :
i hope you'll keep in touch with me if you can. i'm very interested in hearing about your new adventures.
from six30 :
Gone in a month!
from plume :
I saw surreal life recently. It must have been another season though. Corey Feldman was there. And Gabrielle Carteris. There is something fascinating about it. The smell of road kill... is JLA Justice Leave of America or so? I think a Danish guy draws that. Or some of it. I'm not sure how comics work. But I saw on Danish tv today that two danes are drawing comics in America. One of them does some Batman. Oh actually that's the same guy who does JLA. If that's what it is. Yaeh. I can't remember his name now. Smedbjerg or something. Fascinating.
from upmywall :
i think the person really wanted to see where i was at concerning the deepest parts of me rather than the surface. one of my closest friends asked me.
from plume :
lesbian porn is underrated. I see great things in MTV's future.
from alwayslolita :
dude, i'll totally email you the picture. see, i have gaydar too. i don't get the gay vibe from him. but you never know. people are surprising. actually i'll upload the picture to my diaryland server dealy, but i won't post it for all to see. i hope my mom can make me a copy. yay!
from lip-service :
I think i said something along the lines of missing being single...I don't know. Bad Sam...very very bad. Sam loves her boyfriend very much.
from plume :
eyyy, not a bad list. Vulcans are hot :-P ...I'd put katie homies at the top. History and all.
from elliorange :
♥ I loved Shaynn Sassoman's beauty in 40 Days and 40 Nights!
from alwayslolita :
oh my gosh. when my sister told me that the coach lived with his sister and was unmarried, i was thinking 'god i hope he's not gay' cause mid thirties is kind of old to be unmarried in leesville. and i'll never know if he's gay or not because it is impossible to be an out homosexual and work in a school in a town like leesville. very close minded there. they'd find a reason to fire him in no time. i really hope he's not gay. man is he hot! yeah maybe my sister is grossed out cause it's like saying dad is hot or something. you're right. but she gets really angry with me and starts yelling at me and whatnot. sometimes i say it just to get the reaction from her, cause i'm mean. oh well.
from elliorange :
♥ Paul has TiVo - go check out Janet's boobie! http://switchcraft.diaryland.com/040203_42.html
from alwayslolita :
thanks so much for the kind words, grant. i really appreciate it. i'm out of the loop, what happened at the superbowl with janet and justin? did he lick her tit or something?
from twitchygeek :
::pout:: i am going to miss the bloody hell out of you! you always make me feel better... and sometimes so smart! hehe ::hugs::
from cherophobia :
It's ok, :) welcome aboard.
from sweetliz2000 :
You will be missed! :( On another note (sort of), I can relate to a lot of what you said in your most recent entry.
from alwayslolita :
i totally agree that hawaii itself perpetuates hawaii stereotypes in order to garner tourists. i find it disgusting. i hate that this state relies so heavily on tourists' dollars. i think it's a travesty to the natural beauty and culture of hawaii. i also agree that punch drunk love did an excellent job of simply using hawaii as a backdrop and not pimping out its wares to the general public. we shall see how owen wilson's 'the big bounce' does in this sense. also, you're right about american idol. the worst hawaii people were still better than a lot of the people from other states. oh man that chinese dude singing 'she bangs' made me laugh so hard i almost pissed myself. i have no idea why people would do this to themselves, shame themselves just to be on tv for five seconds.
from exiles :
Hey if I ever win the lottery, free Diaryland for everyone on my favorite lists, hehe!
from six30 :
i was single for 3 years until i met daysuit in the spring of last year. i never thought "lightening could strike twice", but it has. it just took time. now if we could only win big in the lottery!
from elliorange :
♥ Open up your "change your template" link and then with your how each entry page looks and your older entries page... just put that code. It just goes on your two template pages. :)
from elliorange :
♥ If you put this: <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"> under your <title></title> area, it'll block google searches after a few days. I mean, if you search exiles.diaryland it'll still come up, but it'll stop it from popping up with "I masturbated yesterday on the couch..." type thing! ;)
from emilylime :
haha, well, not *you* but "a female" =p
from emilylime :
actually you're not supposed to douche cuz it could lead to (more??) infection or something. :x
from six30 :
Thank you for the "find work" well-wishes. Every kind word means a lot :)
from emilylime :
granto: i really liked what you wrote about the shortcomings of email in this entry :)
from dustboogie :
Look for me. I'll be lunging in the swarthy shoes.
from elliorange :
♥ That there Superboy is pretty cute! ;)
from emilylime :
diaryland, xanga, and livejournal. i'm not quite sure how i determine when/what i write in each... they're all different for sure, though! private stuff is in diaryland cuz it's locked. xanga is fun when i want to use cute smiley faces. livejournal has those mood/music things which are fun too. also, different people read different diaries, so i think about who i want (or don't want) to read something. basically i guess i just spread my babbly entries across 3 diaries so that it doesn't look like i write that much crap (when in reality i do, but just hide it somewhat well hahahah). yes i am pathetic!! =)
from plume :
It's not as good as those old superman cartoons though. Those were the bizniz.
from neshachan :
buuu.. no offense taken, I was basically just joke-ranting.. x_x Take care! :)
from neshachan :
BUUU! I had my black glasses before anyone even knew what Emo was!!! POO! I like my black glasses so blah on you. >:O I don't even like Emo. In fact, I don't even know what Emo is! But everyone is always accusing me of looking Emo! But I just wear the clothes I like! OH THE SHAME! DAMN WHOEVER THESE EMO PEOPLE ARE! Beh.. probably a lot of them are like me and are just wearing what they like. :< Just because something you wear happens to be popular doesn't mean you shouldn't wear it. You can't call ME style obsessed and then make fun of a guy for wearing Old Spice.. I mean.. sheesh..you obviously are style obsessed in the fragrance department yourself. :) Oh well, take care and thanks for your sweet note.
from alwayslolita :
man i hate it when people don't project. and i hate the sound of throat voice too. that breathy like trying to sound sexy voice. i'm so not into that. yeah my years of theater training have taught me lots about projection. i'm all about the usage of the diaphram.
from emilylime :
i like that idea of you being a grandpa with a mohawk hahaha. and actually i have three diaries, not two =\
from elliorange :
♥ I don't know if it's so much TV but actually... real life. You're right by saying that someone could come out and shoot Micheal in an attempt to kill him. A lot of things that are made into television shows are really just what's going on in day to day life. It's no more of, "Don't watch that... you'll learn bad things." It's more of... the bad things make the television shows.
from emilylime :
sorry i have so many diaries :(
from emilylime :
hahah you're hilarious =) i'll go to the concert if you go too. but i say we save ourselves $50 or whatever it costs.
from missdove :
Hey Grant, I just wanted to let you know that I read your notes and guestbook entry and truly appreciate them. There are some things I wanted to say, but I don't have time right now, sorry about that. Just wanted to tell you thanks, and that I'll write those thoughts to you soon, hopefully. :)
from exiles :
i hate it when i note myself.
from exiles :
Yeah Big Fish was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was the best movie of the year. It's up there. I think some of it is hype but overall it was a good movie. It wasn't a Typical Burton film but with him what is typical. The middle of the movie kind of seemed aimless but the by the end it sort of picked back up and ended well. Ewan Mcgregor gave a decent performance but all his performance seem kind of similar lately which kind of has me dissapointed.
from upmywall :
while i was in the theater to watch Cold Mountain, there was a very very long line for Bish Fish. is it really good? does ewan mcgreggor really live up to his high standards? please inform me. :)
from plume :
I'm feelin' it
from elliorange :
♥ *Hugs* I hope you feel better, love.
from alwayslolita :
dude i totally want to see big fish. i lurve me some tim burton. i can't wait to see what he and johnny do with charlie and the chocolate factory. lurve!
from emilylime :
haha... it's "warmer" today though... 30 degrees!! =\ by the way, i like your current diary pic.
from elliorange :
♥ Love!!
from plume :
oh righteous concert pictures dude. Partay. I want to go to a concert soon sometime sigh.
from plume :
I was bored and watched 5 minutes of married with children and al said something like "i might as well never have been born" and fell and his guardian angel came and etc etc. I thought about trying that myself. Saying something like that and then hitting myself on the head with a frying pan. It usually works on tv, and it usually all ends happily.
from six30 :
Great picture of the Strokes concert! They do indeed look like rockstars now. That's the best-dressed that I've EVER seen the band.
from eucalia :
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
from upmywall :
i love concert highs. i might go to one next month.
from emilylime :
=) i'm glad you had fun. yeah! you should take pictures so i can get all jealous of you in hawaii cuz it's soooo freaking cold in michigan haha
from lip-service :
hey! how much is a one bedroom apartment a month in hawaii? i'm just curious.
from plume :
radiohead is my second favourite band of all time. Although the top3 is tight. I guess I would still say that The Bends is my favourite album, and followed by OK too. But I listen mostly to live stuff and their new albums are just more.. interesting. As an album I think bends works amazingly. But in concert their new stuff is just.. deeper.. or something. I donnow. Their b-sides are amazing too. I have lots of b-sides and unreleased stuff. Some of it is truly beyond words. Songs like How I Made My Millions (my personal favourite), Polyethelene, Motion Picture soundtrack (oh damn they put that on kid a, it doesn't count anymore), talk show host etc. It's just unbelievable. Does True Love Waits count as unreleased? It was on the live ep. ...what I meant about Coldplay.. lemme see.. they are the new alternative rock band that cool people like. Radiohead has gotten too alternative to be the huge mainstream alternative rock loved band. But Coldplay is safer alternative. I remember a Chris Martin quote that went something like "we're the boy band of rock'n'roll". Okay I don't remember the exact quote, but it was something about boybands... So Coldplay has sort of taken that "easy alterna rock" band that hip people mention to show that they have good music taste. I mean look at any mtv award show, everyone on camera will be saying they love coldplay. Of course, I love Coldplay too so it's not like I'm complaining or anything. I'm just wasting time because I like ranting. Salad is good, I love it. But then I have never really eaten it before, I have always been unhealthy. So it's kind of a revelation that salad isn't actualy bad. Okay then.
from emilylime :
i never thought of diaryland as being that way (21 and younger)... maybe because aside from my friends' diaries, i only read your diary, and also plume and vintagegrrl, and you guys are all 25+ hehe.
from plume :
happy the birtdhay. I never realized you were half japanese. I don't know if I should have. But there you go.
from elliorange :
♥ Grant! Happy Birthday, beautiful boy! I hope you've enjoyed your special day!
from emilylime :
happy bday grant :) anyone who doesn't think LOTR is the greatest thing ever is cool in my book.
from neshachan :
Happy New Year to you as well!
from emilylime :
happy new year to you too! i've never seen the strokes, and i have yet to listen to the new album, although i do have it on mp3. i'm glad a band finally going to hawaii though :)
from plume :
how appropriate, to have your 500th entry on the first day of the new year. Good timing. ...mcis was lots better received yeah. It won like 50 mtv awards. While Adore is probably more likely to be remembered like the record where it all started going wrong... but who cares about public opinion anyway.
from six30 :
OMG, I had no idea that you had joined the army! I wish you all the best and hope that you will still be able to keep in touch through your DL. XO Josie
from elliorange :
♥ Happy New Year, sweetheart!
from plume :
what about adore? Adore adore. Best album ever. Hope you had a pleasantly nice new years.
from twitchygeek :
hope you're having a great new year's celebration, sweetcheeks! **hugs**
from alwayslolita :
hey dude, you are always sick! i hope you feel better. i'm glad you had a good christmas, you certainly deserved it.
from elliorange :
♥ Oh, sweetheart. I'm so sorry that you're sick. I hope you feel better soon. *hugs*
from twitchygeek :
merry christmas, love! i hope you found the batmobile i left under your tree...
from emilylime :
yes i saw it in 2002. most of the places that were filmed were more "hicklike" (for lack of a better, more PC term) though and unlike where i live. i can't quite talk about michael moore without getting into big arguments with people for some reason... mostly because everyone likes him and i don't really... so i'm not going to say anymore unless you'd like me to. hehe
from emilylime :
there are bits of my hometown, troy, in that film
from plume :
Hah. You have to be a little impressed with Bush. It's like climbing a mountain with just one arm. Or something. I like the changing pictures. Superheroific.
from elliorange :
♥ It's not annoying to put a new picture up, it's refreshing! Ooh... masturbating in public - that's hot! How's about masturbating at work... knowing you could be caught by a hot girl at any moment. *Phew* I think I need to calm down! ;) I'm just a horny girl!
from missdove :
Thank you so much for the note. I agree I don't really think my dad is going to change, and I know it isn't my job to change him. Yet knowing that it is all still just a painful situation. It's weird to me, because I look back and remember times when things weren't this bad and remember thinking they couldn't get worse. Now I sit here and wish for those times again now though they weren't great either really. I just can't believe it. Does that make any sense?! You know I don't have the slightest clue anymore what a social life is either. Sometimes that saddens me, I mean we all need other people in our lives. Yet other times I just love being alone and chilling like you've been doing watching movies and stuff. Though watching movies with someone has its perks too, most definately. Anyhow thank you for the note I really do appreciate it, and I know you aren't really feeling the Christmas spirit either, but Merry Christmas Grant! Maybe things will be better for us both this up coming year, have to keep hoping and believing no matter how hard it gets at times. Take care...-Natalie
from upmywall :
what do you think of the failed tyrant?
from alwayslolita :
dude, the abyss is one of my most favorite movies of all time. my favorite part is when he's doing cpr on her and he's slapping her and he yells 'you've never given up on anything in your life, now fight!" classic. beautiful.
from emilylime :
it seems like the guy was using his blindness as a crutch to get his way. boo
from elliorange :
♥ I like what you wrote about the blind customer. I think you handled the situation amazingly. That poor man must have been through a lot in his life with people discriminating against him, and it's hard for him to tell and feel kindness. *Hugs for you*
from alwayslolita :
yeah, it's called a fistula. i saw that episode with the old lady, sue johansson or something like that. highly amusing. tho the thing about the fistula makes me even more adamant about the whole nothing goes in the out hole thing. ya know?
from alwayslolita :
hey grant. just checking in. i sent you an email. i'm sorry about your dad's accident. all that's important is that he's okay. i know you know that.
from lip-service :
thank you for the notes, your comments are much appreciated. the post about your father was tender and candid.
from lip-service :
thank you for the notes, your comments are much appreciated. the post about your father was tender and candid.
from plume :
pffft I don't know what half the buttons on my dvd remote does. What you don't know, don't kill you. Aight.
from elliorange :
♥ Oh, thank you for asking sweetheart. Uhm... she's not doing well. It's like she's in a world of her own. She writes about how she wants to die but doesn't dare talk about suicide... so it doesn't look like she wants to kill herself. I know she wants pity, but I don't have any pity for her. I can't stomach it - it makes me mad. There's lots more to the story, but to make it short... nothing has changed. I am doing okay, though. She's on my mind a lot, but other than that... I'm doing pretty darn good. Thank you for asking! *So much love*
from garak89 :
Hey, that would be awesome. I wish I could get all of the season dvds but its not really worth the $150 price tag. :s I don't like it enough to spend my entire paycheck. A Morph series would be awesome. It would be all jokes. I liked Deadpool cuz he was always making jokes. Now they want to come with a Cable/Deadpool series. Should be interesting. I also wanna take a look at Ant-Man. It sounds awesome.
from neshachan :
I miss the cranberries too.
from plume :
Well.. I guess they are for "special functions". I'm not sure I have ever actually used them even once... ..I would settle for Zwan coming back heh.
from elliorange :
♥ *snuggles in* :oP
from elliorange :
♥ I wanna snuggle and talk with you for hours.
from deepblue3 :
*wink* check my profile now
from elliorange :
♥ Thank you for the note you sent about my friend. I agree with you, and I also hope she comes out of this.
from neshachan :
We all wear masks and play parts, depending on the situation. Everybody does it, even if they don't want to admit it. "Everything is showbiz". :) We're all actors in our own little plays.
from elliorange :
♥ Oh, baby boy! I hope you feel better soon! *Big Hugs!*
from wadatah :
hey grant. i moved. http://www.thestarsandmore.com
from sweetliz2000 :
Thank you for the note. There's no way I'd drop out at this point. I see the people who are putting way more into this show than I am, and I force myself to stop complaining. I'm frustrated with all the other things I have to do, and I'm taking it out on the play. I have 5 million things to do, but instead of doing them I have to drive a half hour through stormy weather to sit around for hours, say a few meaningless lines, and drive home. :)
from dustboogie :
Oh no! Not Queer as Folk. he heh. The pain.
from emilylime :
oh my goodness was i behind on reading your entries. i'm all caught up now though! that man at your workplace sucks. so does that lady who doesn't understand english?! haha. hope all's well with you
from elliorange :
♥ Thank you for the birthday wishes, love!
from garak89 :
Yeah I think DS9 is the best series. Garak is my favorite character from that show. I know what you mean about the characters dieing off in Exiles. When Sunfire died, I was more interested in the turning the page to see who was next on the team than caring about her at all. When Magnus died it sucked cuz I thought he would have definitely stayed for a while so that was a surprise, especially since all the other series very rarely have a member die. When Blink and even Thunderbird died, it sucked majorly too. It's almost like ur waiting for the next issue to see who dies next. Regardless though, I still love the issues. When Mimic started changing into the Brood it really scared me. So there are some things that keep u coming back for more.
from alwayslolita :
i watched part of that big in 03 show. and i agree with everything you wrote. that nick and jessica skit was interesting. but i'll never in a million years believe that she is smart. she has this blank look in her eyes. there's nothing going on in there. you could put one hand on one of her ears and blow through the other and feel the wind on your hand. you know? and yeah that girl just attacked me in my notes because i offered to make cat stevens cds for people. i honestly believe that making mix cds is not immoral. for right now it's illegal but there are plenty of things that used to be illegal but are not immoral including homosexual sex. what is her freaky deal? she was so passionate about it. and truly got angry with me. well if she's that pissed off then she should report me to whomever is in charge of such things. you know? i'm not stealing music. i own the cds already and am simply making mixes of them. if it's so bad then they should outlaw cd burners and blank cds, they should stop selling them in the stores. you know? i was kind of miffed about this earlier but now i just find it amusing that something i did elicited such a response from a complete stranger. she acts like i said 'hey come over to my house, i'm having a party, we're going to eat babies and rape cheerleaders, join in the fun.' craziness. there are people whose diaries i see that i disagree with a lot of the things they're saying but i don't take it upon myself to attack them in their guestbooks. let them think what they want to think, they're not hurting anyone. you know? hmmph. whatever.
from garak89 :
Exiles is my favorite series. I think Mimic is awesome. And now that Blink is back. Oh man. I know pretty much no one around where I live that reads many comic books. It's awesome to find a fellow diaryland member whos loves it as much as I do.
from elliorange :
♥ Are you a romantic lover or do you like to get down and dirty? ;)
from elliorange :
♥ Thank you, love!
from dgoyal80 :
what episode of celebrities uncensored was jon brandis on?
from plume :
I would love LOVE to see jessica and marshall mathers the 3rd. Hah, that could only be good. Or what about Jessica and Bush, imagine the conversations.
from cdghost :
beautiful words
from elliorange :
♥ Happy Thanksgiving, love!
from emilylime :
hehehe, nice pairings. actually, i was a little disappointed by kissing jessica stein, maybe because she was so nervous/scared. have a good thanksgiving, grant :)
from twitchygeek :
hey sweetie, just wanted to say hi and have a kickass trip and a very happy thanksgiving. btw, those duos--HILARIOUS, i'm all for it!
from twitchygeek :
omg, that's hilarious--,y friend carol and i never even watched a single episode of joe millionare. and for some reason last night it was on and we were glued the entire 2 hours. it was a scary tv black hole that we fell into. : P anyways, that just made me smile, which i'm in desperate need of right now, so thank you! ::hug:: p.s. glad you don't have to move again.
from elliorange :
♥ I love reading you. I bet you're an amazing person to talk to face-to-face.
from six30 :
Hi Grant, try using Mozilla Firebird for pop-up-free browsing. It's pretty good. XO J -- http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/
from neshachan :
I would recommend downloading Ad-Aware (for free) to get rid of spyware & their related pop ups... it worked for me. Just search for it on Google and you'll find it.
from alwayslolita :
are you getting those 'messenger service' pop ups, the grey ones? i had a friend that told me how to get rid of them. but i forgot. so i'm absolutely no help to you. also: it's not cold in town? it's freaking freezing on this side of the island. i'm wearing a tank top with a long sleeved shirt over it, sweat pants, thick long socks, and house slippers. i have no idea how i'm going to hack it when i go to louisiana for christmas.
from elliorange :
I'm having the same problem with popups. I, also, delete them from my computer... but they keep coming back. Boo!
from emilylime :
hahahaha, loved this entry
from elliorange :
♥ Crazy! :)
from plume :
yes that's slightly worrying. Oh well. It can't get much worse. I'm liking my getstring guestbook so much I wouldn't go back to smgb now. And luckily most people have notes on so I almost don't have to deal with that fiasco no mo. Hahahaaaa waterworms. That's some funny stuff. I want one now. A big meaty throbbing waterworm. Oooh yeah. Dang I missed the quiz. Although I would have bombed at it anyway. My attention span is very
from alwayslolita :
dude, i totally have NOT recieved my battlecat yet. i wrote the guy and i told him that it's been three weeks and i have not recieved it what are you going to do about it. so the guy wrote me back and said that he sent it but if i don't recieve it he'll send another one. so i wrote him back again and told him that if i don't get it by wednesday i'll consider it lost and i want another one sent priority because i'm going on vacation, or if he doesn't have another one to send i want my damn money back. so the guy said okay. so we'll see. i'm still holding out hope that i'll get it today or tomorrow. what a freaking hassle.
from emilylime :
hahaha!! i'd seen those in the store a couple of months ago and was struck by the phallic quality and confused about exactly what they are supposed to be for. thanks for the pictures; they made me laugh =p
from elliorange :
♥ You make me giggle! Although, I do like my waterworms to be of average size. I just like to stare at the ones that can... uhm... grow up to 3' in length. It's really not the size... it's the motion. ;)
from twitchygeek :
i also got to sleep in today! we are so badass. ::lazy hugs::
from elliorange :
♥ Mmm... orange cream popsicle!
from upmywall :
sometimes i wish i can fly far far away into the sky and be with the diamond studs in the dark abyss ...
from elliorange :
♥ *HUGS* for a good night!
from alwayslolita :
ha! when i was watchin i love the 80's strikes back, doogie howser made me think of myself as well. i guess if doogie were growing up right now he'd have a blog.
from emilylime :
oh and in reply to your notes, i thought i said in my diary what i was for halloween, it was like a female version of dionysus basically. and belle & sebastian were pretty good, rather chill, although the university paper gave the concert a crap rating, saying that they were too detached and not excited enough. but aren't they kind of detached in personality anyway?
from emilylime :
agh you've put up the answers already! but i'm not going to look at them and i'll try the quiz. 1. exiles is a comic you love. 2. lefty and righty. 3. chun-li. 4. eek... i dunno... too many? exiles? haha. 5. argh.. i don't know. 6. the joker. 7. i dunno. 8. jesus. 9. eek i dunno... jessica alba? 10. omg i suck. bonus: hmm... deepblue3? ...now to see how poorly i did +___+
from neshachan :
Actually I was way sick on Halloween so I just sat around and then went to the doctor's office. I wore a pair of kitty ears that I made to the doctor and like 3 people called me a bunny. It was very irritating. I wore a black shirt with a red glitter witch on it that said 'wicked' :P Still sick though.. T_T Lame Halloween.
from plume :
hey maybe jessica will dress up like a bunny (not a playboy bunny, more like bugs bunny) and they'll get furry on us. Or something like that.
from elliorange :
♥ *HUGS*
from fan4 :
LOL I thought you had taken my diary off my fave. list, but you didn't. My bad.
from fan4 :
I may not talk 'bout the FF much in my diary, but I'm still a fan of that group.
from alwayslolita :
i went to waikiki for halloween a couple of years ago. i was groped by two strangers, one on the thigh and one on the boob. i will not go back. but i loved the costumes. i saw a gang from 100 acre woods on mopeds, and a lot of las vegas type showgirls with nice boobs. those were my favorite costumes. you took a picture of some type of wood nymph. her costume looked very nice. anyway. i'm glad that you've taken some time out of your busy schedule to actually have fun and do something nice for yourself.
from plume :
(guestbook message will probably show up later...) ...I was doing some reading up on old ultima games, specifically dr cat of ultima 6 fame. And I stumbled upon the fact that he was into that whole furry and plushie scene. Lots of usenet posts about it. A really funny and intelligent guy, but I must admit it was a little creepy to read about people having sex with stuffed animals and such. Strategically Placed Hole. Eep.
from emilylime :
haha noah (my roommate julia's bf) is being pee wee herman for halloween. i still don't know what to be, which kind of sucks, as it is already 12:30 pm... have a happy halloween, grant :)
from elliorange :
♥ Happy Halloween, love! Have a marvelous day!
from neshachan :
That special is kind of biased, because most people who wear the fur suits are not into that dirty furry sex stuff... I'm *not* furry (yuck) but I am a cosplayer (geek), and know some people who do the fur thing... and well most of them are pretty offended by that MTV special.. hehe Most people just like to dress up, not to be kinky. :o BTW, I think that would be a good play too.. hehehehe
from alwayslolita :
ah yes i have heard of this furry plushy phenomena. it is so strange. i find it an incredible turn off when people sexualize things that aren't normally sexual. like feet. or shoes. or stuffed animals. do they rent the costumes, or own them? if i was the rental person i would not want my costume back. i would force them to buy it. i think that i'm as liberal as liberal gets. if my child came home and told me, mom, i'm a lesbian / homosexual / transsexual / crossdresser. i would be fine with it. but if i caught my child humping a stuffed animal, or if they told me they were a furry i think i'd have to work out my issues with it. it's just too weird. not that i find it wrong. it's just very perverse.
from alwayslolita :
i also had the original battlecat. along with he man to ride him. i tried to buy a vintage battlecat, but i didn't win the auction. the 2002 battlecat that i just bought is MIB, but i'm going to take him out of the box and play with him. is that bad? i don't see the point of leaving him in the box. i'm not going to re-sell him. i want to display him outside of the box. along with my she ra action figures. i also just won my my little pony auction. twelve my little ponies and a stable. yay! i've been spending so much money on ebay. these boxes should be arriving soon. i wish i didn't have a gate so that the mail man could leave them on my front porch. so now i have to go to the postoffice to pick up my things. what a hassle.
from emilylime :
hahaha... that sounds like a funny idea for a script to me :)
from fan4 :
I like reading, writing, anime (My fave. is `Yu-Gi-OH!), being with friends, spending time with cats...
from twitchygeek :
aw, i would LOVE to lay on the couch with you... or we could play twister! no one ever plays twister anymore.
from fan4 :
No, I don't read Johnny's ongoing series. I have zero interest in it.
from elliorange :
♥ Oh, sweetie. *Hugs* I wish for you to feel better, and I hope you find a time to be glad that you are alive and here on this Earth. I wish I knew you better - I'd take your head in my lap, run my fingers through your hair... and just listen to you.
from alwayslolita :
i can relate to where you are now. it'll get better. i'm not sure if that's what you want to hear. but it will.
from fan4 :
What comics do you like to read?
from alwayslolita :
hmm, guess it's good that you're used to the nomad life now that you're in the army. you'll be doing a lot of moving around.
from neshachan :
Mmm.. Bjork.
from deepblue3 :
Awww. Thanks for the awesome plug, buddy. I'm glad you liked my interpretation. :) I hope you have a great day. *hugs*
from penmaster :
you change layouts more times than Bill Clinton switches women. =P but Queer As Folk? HELL YEAH! =D
from neshachan :
hahahahaha.. if she's like Lucy, then I'm totally Madonna. xD
from sweetliz2000 :
Matrix 1 was the first DVD I ever bought too!
from emilylime :
i don't know, but my friend trish is accusing me of writing too much in the other diary. it's true... i'm ignoring diaryland :(
from elliorange :
♥ Well, I think you're darling.
from elliorange :
♥ I hope your legs feel better soon, doll. Don't forget to take a break. *Hugs*
from twitchygeek :
lol, i was actually thinking that ron weasley could stay in my closet for all of my 14 yr old sex slave needs...
from sweetliz2000 :
I'm happy that you're happy! There is nothing like singing in your car. Absolutely nothing.
from dustboogie :
What an affecting and personal entry. I used to collect comics but now they've begun to gather dust and film between the mylar. Oh, and poor Whitney! Yes, her first album had a few gems, didn't it? "I'm asking you cause you know about these things."
from elliorange :
♥ *Hugs* for a delicious morning!
from emilylime :
ooooh, i like your layout! and i like jamba juice too, but there aren't any in michigan =\
from elliorange :
♥ I like your new layout, darling!
from neshachan :
haha, even funnier is Arnold saying that he was going to become a "Champion for women!" .. what does that even mean?! Suddenly I look for news of the California election under 'entertainment' instead of 'politics'
from neshachan :
Ted is totally the best one! I have a thing for those thick black frames.. xD Jai is cute, but I think he's the most boring of the Fab Five.. ^_^;; :starts Ted fanclub:
from elliorange :
♥ Have you ever been with a guy - sexually or just cuddle stuff? Or do you just find them attractive in a sense of appearance? Look but wouldn't touch? Now... I think woman are gorgeous - all types. I would touch plenty of times, but it's the men who really do it for me.
from dustboogie :
yes! viva belle + sebastian! i must read more of your diary. a few things you wrote really kinda turned me on.
from neshachan :
didn't mean to frighten you. ^_~
from elliorange :
♥ Ya know... I have this one gay friend, and he swears up and down that he's gay (he came out a year ago) but when he gets drunk... he wants to be with girls. He wants to touch and explore them. When he's sober he's all about the guys, though. It's odd because when you're intoxicated... you tend to speak the truth. It's a twist around, just like the story you want to write. *smiles*
from lastoneout :
Hi, thanks for leaving me a note. And thanks for the kind words. Yah, this is my secret diary that I purge my yuck feelings into, so it'll prolly be full of silly negative stuff. Yes! Someone else in the entire world that understands the beauty of Ma Vie En Rose! <3
from upmywall :
sometimes sensitivity can take you to completely innae places in other people's hearts ... i've learned that recently
from lip-service :
thank you for trying to sympathize. sorry i've been so distant lately. me = busy busy.
from emilylime :
my favorite things about "about a boy" are hugh grant's pants and the badly drawn boy soundtrack. hee
from twitchygeek :
hey you, thanks for the note, it definitely cheered me up. and just so you know, i'm identifying while the whole lonliness bit, too--so we can always readt diaries and laugh at each other or just plain old help each other out. i think you're the best. :)
from sweetliz2000 :
You're very welcome! To delete a note you have to click on 'edit your notes settings' in the menu on the left (in the 'Other Stuff' section). Thank you!
from twitchygeek :
one year, YAY!! ::does happy dance:: congrats, my sweets. :)
from twitchygeek :
oh, hun, i sowwy. ::bigger hugs than last time:: you were too good for that job and those people anyway, so there! hey, how about i come spend a week with you and all we'll do is play practical jokes on those suckers the whooooole time! bwah ha ha! ;)
from emilylime :
haha... that was funny, the wheelchair/shopping cart thing. yeah, it's amazing how stupid customers are when you're working at your job. i'm kind of hypocritical, though, because i can be one of those annoying, irritated people asking stupid questions myself. =\
from upmywall :
you are too cute ...
from twitchygeek :
thanks for the advice, hunny. and yeah, i love mr. izzard; i'm tryin to get tickets for his show when he comes to philly in november--keep your fingers crossed!
from twitchygeek :
hey sweetie, thanks for the response. ::hug:: well, i finally broke down and told him--because not only do i not like lying (which is essentially what i would have been doing), but i suck at it anyway. : P anywho, he was a little upset for like, an hour and i stayed away from him (which is sorta difficult with you live w/someone). eventually he came up to me and said he wasn't mad anymore and that of course he still trusts me. so all is well in the world of angie and ben. :)
from emilylime :
hi grant, i like your background pic.
from miscreant444 :
thanks...I appreciate your input. I know I've been horrible lately about getting back to people...I've just been Captain Insular lately :(. but I did want to thank you for your notes...:)
from wadatah :
I know what you're saying about Punch Drunk Love and the whole first half of the movie. I swear that I sat in a theatre wishing I could kill myself while watching that movie. But strangely, I liked the movie by the end of it even though the music and combined loud noises from him closing and opening the stupid office doors and his dumb sisters made me want to hurt someone, real bad. Let's catch a movie when I get back home, I'll bring my friend Jaynie. It'll be cool, I promise.
from sweetliz2000 :
One on the Big Island.. are you familiar with any of them?
from upmywall :
i always love reading your entries ... you are one of the most real people on these internet diaries
from twitchygeek :
i wanted to see about schmidt, my friends really dug it. let me know how it goes so i know if it's a good rental. :)
from emilylime :
ooh i've been wanting to see adaptation forever... especially since being john malkovich is my favorite movie hehe
from twitchygeek :
that's crazy--i just watched "adaptation" the other night, too. and i thought it was an awesome flick. (nicholas cage is definitely intriguing as a fat, balding, nuerotic guy.) someone in my house actually already owned the book "the orchid hunter" and i borrowed it. very exciting. have a good one, sweetie.
from emilylime :
YES!! chris martin's teeth are so ugly!
from upmywall :
the olsen twins .......... too much money
from wadatah :
Man, I wish I caught the awards show, instead I was working. bleh. how was the madonna/britney kiss?
from emilylime :
come to michigan ;) good luck with everything... you'll have to give me your email address or something. ttyl
from alwayslolita :
good luck! i really do mean it. if this is something you want to do, then i wish you the best of luck. i hope that you'll still get a chance to be online, cause i'd love to be able to hear about how things are going with you!
from upmywall :
many ideas seem to be running through your head. me too. i use to move around so many times when i was younger; i never had a true best friend because of that. But now i realize as you mature as a person you cannot stay at one place all your life. of course people will constantly try to convince you to stay or whatnot; they love you and will miss you. i say go for it. do anything you want; that's the only way to live. truly.
from alwayslolita :
jessica simpson is SO ugly. i find her incredibly unattractive and talentless. she is such a b-list celebrity. real celebrities don't do reality shows about themselves with their b-list husbands. gah!
from alwayslolita :
grant grant grant, beware the army recruiter. he'll tell you things he thinks you want to hear. if all you want is to go back to school and pay off your loans and what not don't join the army. if you want to join the army because you feel like you need discipline in your life, or that you want to serve your country, then yes. but if it's for financial reasons, think hard about it. you'll be in iraq in no time, because we're occupying them and they're sending entire units over there for tours that will last at least a year. there's still alot of hostility going on there. plenty of people hate the americans and will throw grenades at those in bdu's. just be wary, that's all. i took the asvab in high school. i got the marines calling me after they saw my scores. they wanted me really bad, started talking to me about being an officer and all that. and i'm like 'hello, i'm obese and have a mental illness, you do not want me.' i remember scoring really low on the mechanical skills. i took that iq test too. i was satisfied with my 149. i know someone who scored a 160. he's very smart. anyway, i'll let you go now. this is really long.
from wadatah :
work is better, thanks for caring. on a different note, queer eye is the best show in the world and I've been taping it as often as I can. Carson really is the best, Jai comes in a close second. It was so classic when they made over one of their camera men and went into his house to find "snugger fit" condoms.
from alwayslolita :
grant, thanks so much for commenting on my work. i really appreciate it. i don't know, it's a complete fluke when i get the drawing to look something like the subject. i'm writing you from notes because i'm afraid that if i guestbook you i won't be able to guestbook anyone else tonight because of andrew's flood control on signmyguestbook. also did you know that he's now charging a start up fee for guestbooks! amazing. he says it's 99 cents and he's going to raise it. i wonder if that will deter people from joining signmyguestbook. i told my friend that she shouldn't get one from there if she has to pay for it. tho i do like the convenience of it. and at least he's not retroactively charging all of us for use of the guestbooks. anyway, just writing to say thanks again.
from penmaster :
worms suck :(
from upmywall :
i love being with yourself in the middle of the night. Right before the sun rises and the moon falls. mmm, truly beautiful. oh and music plays a big role in it, also. :)
from missdove :
I think it is BOTH a gift and curse to see things so differently from others. Just as with so many things you have to take the good with the bad. So often I feel like people just don't understand me, and then I find those who do, well that I think do. For a while it is absolutely wonderful, everyone has the desire to feel understood. Those people though have of course been those who've hurt me the most. I've begin to debate if I really want anyone to understand me anymore, maybe if I stop desiring to feel that way it won't hurt.
from emilylime :
maybe relying on feelings hurts more, but i think people like us live *more* in the end. people who are analyzing everything just make everything so cold and clinical. hope you're doing well, grant. =)
from upmywall :
beautiful days are so rare. i saw five beautiful days while i was in hawaii; i was there for six days.
from wadatah :
Oh man grant, I'm such a fan of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy". I recently started taping it and watch it with my cousin who is also a big fan. Did you see when the blonde one of the fab five was making over the guy with the long hair and he held up his hair and said, "Jesus Christ, Superstar." One word. Classic.
from upmywall :
it is always a gift to perceive issues in a different way and even a more glorious gift if you shed the different light for others to see. i agree with you about writing online about your most personal thoughts. i write these things online not only to vent and send this out into space, but because i want others to be able to relate to me ... knowing that they're not alone. ... lonliness is a very ... terrible state. i find myself there many times.
from deepblue3 :
Hey, I'm back. I updated, finally! Thanks for leaving me on your favorites list. :) Later.
from exiles :
duh! noted myself again!
from exiles :
Well I lost my closest friend who I lived with for 3 years. We spent almost everyday together and now we hardly speak. So I know exactly what you're going through. Well like I said, Hawaii is a wonderful place to live. If you need any info on the schools and parts of town to live in or whatever let me know.
from upmywall :
what you wrote is very true. i believe it too. i'm trying to be happy here in LA, altho it is hard when your closest friend thinks of you the same way as a dark ally. i'm going to hawaii to develope myself spiritually through a school there.
from upmywall :
i never knew you lived in hawaii. it is such a beautiful place and the people are very nice. let's see ... i went to hanauama (something like that) bay, waikiki beach, ama moana, the great state park, this person's house .. heh ... i want to go back badly. i'm thinking of taking a year off of school and living there. what do you think
from missdove :
Hope you have a good time. Though 20 million would be tempting, I'd take winning the heart of someone I love over it any day. Personally for me I know that all the money in the world wouldn't make me happy without love.
from upmywall :
diaries ... "online" diaries are a display of something more than just words for show. i think it's easier to open up just because so many write in these in the middle of the night ... :-)
from baby575 :
thanks for da birthday wishes!
from kazzo :
hey, I got your note. Yeah falling for someone and trying to kill off those feelings for certain reason is a tough thing to do and I honestly don't think I can do it anymore. If it feels right, go for it I guess.
from emilylime :
*hugs*
from miscreant444 :
Thanks...I'm happy with the starz for now, but I'll probably change here in a few days...I do that a lot. :).
from twitchygeek :
i can sleep better knowing... but, um... i made the batman cookies up so you'd tell me. don't hate me! hehe
from twitchygeek :
alright, i'm taking the bait--what the freakin' hell did she say, man?? i thirst to know. pleeeeaaase tell us! i... i'll give you a batman cookie! just let me in on the know. **nuzzle, nudge**
from emilylime :
hope you're doing ok, grant. i dunno the whole story, obviously, but it seems like she's not treating you fairly at well... :(
from miscreant444 :
Hey, don't be silly. It's your diary. Whatever you put into it is perfect. Anyone reading a diary should know to expect the occasional purging of depression, as well as the expression of joy. It's life, not a hayride, after all. :)
from sweetliz2000 :
Aw, thank you! I will try to keep up with my diary, but that may at times be difficult. I hope your summer goes well, too. Good luck with everything with Viva. :-/ That's a hard situation to be in.
from alwayslolita :
have you ever read plume? he used to have a site up to share live smashing pumpkins and zwan music. he lives in denmark and their copyright laws are strict. they were very prepared to sue him. he had to convince them that he was completely ignorant of the law when he created the site. which he was, and luckily they believed him. poor thing! that's so terrible. yes and Utah is the most uptight state in the union! did you hear that strom thurmond died? he was 100 years old. and he was pure evil. i hope that God has mercy on his soul. anyway, just got me thinking that's all.
from sweetliz2000 :
That guy is INSANE! >:-|
from sweetliz2000 :
Hey, thanks for the note. :) It did make me feel better!
from emilylime :
haha, if it makes you feel better, (1) attendance was really shitty (we filled up maybe 1/4 of the stadium), and (2) it was raining the whole time. actually, that's how i discovered basement jaxx too, except that i was at barnes and noble rather than borders ;) we rock!
from alwayslolita :
they were brother and sister?! really, i don't remember picking up on that as a child. but they were from different planets. what happened? was one abducted or something? wow. hmm. now i feel kind of dumb. cringer/battlecat was the best! did you ever see the movie. what a stinker, but i used to watch it all the time. i just knew that chick, the one whose dad knows the secret, totally had the hots for prince adam.
from emilylime :
very true, your last statement
from sweetliz2000 :
Thanks for the good luck. :) Apparently you start out at 200 points and each one you get correct is another 10 points. Or something like that. Then, each one you get wrong is about 1/4 of that? :-/ Or maybe 1/5... hmm.. Anyways, something like that! But I would, like, count how many I'd answered, multiply it by 10, add it to 200 and then subtract a few (just in case I had some wrong ones). Then I'd freak out, "Ack! I need to answer ___ more correctly to get over __ points!" Yeeep.. Sorry if none of that made any sense. I'm tired. :)
from emilylime :
$90?? holy shite!
from emilylime :
grant-- so sorry that things are frustrating for you. hopefully they'll get better with time as you two find some sort of rhythm for your lives. and about the beautiful compliment thing, i don't know if i can speak for all girls or anything, but i definitely don't believe it when guys tell me i'm beautiful. it just feels so dishonest/untrue for some odd reason. maybe i subscribe to the whole "actions speak louder than words" thing. btw, you should go to field day next weekend ;) anyway, take care, later
from sweetliz2000 :
I'm sorry things are hard right now. I completely understand how you're feeling.. :( And yes, neutrality can be good.
from emilylime :
!!!!!!!! =)
from sweetliz2000 :
I enjoy reading your diary, too! :-D
from sweetliz2000 :
Thank you for favoriting me! Thanks for all of the notes, too. I certainly have no plans to stop updating. :) What I said about happy and depressed people was certainly a huge generalization. I, by no means, meant that all happy people are bad and all unhappy ones good. That definitely isn't the case. Thanks for the feedback. :)
from six30 :
re: then it hit me ~ yes, that poster really is a shocker. but i'm still relatively happy despite being really broke & "being stuck on payroll doing work that doesn't interest me for a very long time". i guess i can't have it all - i'd have nothing to work towards otherwise. hope you're okay :)
from emilylime :
am i the one who wouldn't care if you listed my name? hehee because i wouldn't care indeed :) btw, one of my friends is going to the field day festival. i'm very jealous.
from emilylime :
haha your guestbook entry made me laugh :) i go makeup-less cuz i think it's really annoying and uncomfortable. and definitely bad for the skin. i saw you online this morning! but i had to get ready for class so i didn't talk to you. so yeah, belated hello. (the postal service "such great heights", "the district sleeps alone tonight". death cab for cutie "information travels faster", "photobooth", "debate exposes doubt", "i was a kaleidoscope". the notwist "consequence", "pilot", "pick up the phone", "this room", "chemicals". the sea and cake - i can't think of any specific song names but i like them all.) sorry such a long note : \
from emilylime :
hey... not much going on over here... spring half-term classes are ok, the roommate is cool, the weather here sucks cuz it's rather cold (50ish), i've been listening to the same stuff over and over again on my winamp playlist (the postal service, death cab for cutie, the notwist, the sea and cake), and i'm thinking of dumping the bf, but i'm afraid of how i can do it relatively "nicely" because i don't want to hurt him too much, bleh. i have a short story due in a week and i haven't started. there you go... that's my life in a nutshell, haha. prolly more in detail and more boring in my diary =p i'm glad you're done with school finally, hehe.. what are your summer plans?
from h1ghj1nx :
thankz for the laugh...it's a start!:) take care and have fun at the concert!
from emilylime :
re: the concert.. *drool*
from alwayslolita :
yes all my friends read my diary, well they at least have the address and i dont want to risk that they might read all the shit i want to talk about them. it wasn't a hellish party, but some of my friends are so irrevocably stupid and i just want to burst with my disgust, but i can't write about it in my diary.
from six30 :
Too many comic books to choose from! Sorry you're trapped at work for it. Hey, I could quite conceivably get a free comic book at every shop I visit! Sorry, didn't mean to rub salt in the wound.
from emilylime :
ohh!! i guess i accidentally made that entry sound too negative. i actually had a lot of fun. the venue was really cute and intimate. btw i love that garbage song.
from six30 :
Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day! http://www.freecomicbookday.com/
from emilylime :
grant- cool, thought-provoking entry. i think a lot of guys like to hide their softer side because of the negative connotation of being labeled "girly", and being raised to be a good and proper male. sadly, i have found one beer that i like (after years of saying i hate beer). i guess i sometimes drink beer because other drinks seem to convey that a person is inaccessible or more high-maintenance or whatever. (also, since i'm drinking free booze, i have to go along with that beggars can't be choosers thing. hehe)
from baby575 :
hey again! wow, that was the best advice that anyone has ever given meeh. wut u said reallie sunk in. thanks for helpin meeh realize all of that.
from emilylime :
haha, i just sent you an email and then read your latest entry afterwards. anyway, i was actually disappointed by secretary. i thought that it seemed a little cautious and that it should've been a lot more adventurous/"out there" with the whole thing. but then, i don't know much about film studies etc. that will hopefully change when i take a film class in the fall. what i did enjoy, though, was james spader (ooh, i feel like a dork for saying that) and the whole retro look of the movie.
from six30 :
hey, g. glad you're back. things look good! couldn't sign your guestbook tho.
from emilylime :
glad you're back :)
from penmaster :
no. i want Exiles to come back. how will we know how you're doing? come back someday and tell us. :(
from baby575 :
hey. well, the reason i write more stuff about MEEH in mai diary and not in mai xanga is cause alot of pepo from mai skool read mai xanga. the stuff i write in mai diaryland diary dont seem to be read that much by pepo that i know. so i'm more comfortable writing personal stuff in there than in mai xanga. ur site is pretty tight! so keep it up k? take cares!
from emilylime :
interesting entry. i never thought about it that way but yeah it makes a lot of sense. i guess girls have a lot of oft-abused power in that respect : \ hope things improve for your coworker...
from penmaster :
boo. we updated at about the same time.
from penmaster :
hello my trekalicious Hawaiian hunk. if you keep hooking us with wonderful opening lines like you did in your recent entry, then i will expressly forbid you from stopping this diary. =)
from emilylime :
i really liked the last sentence in your entry today :) sorry i didn't see you online, i was asleep (for once!). i'll ttyl yo
from alwayslolita :
hmm guestbooks aren't working right now. i don't know if this is meant to make you feel better or not, but this is exactly how i was feeling a few months ago. then i got help and i'm doing much better. call your insurance company and they can probably give you a list of the people they cover and you can choose someone. if you don't like the first person move on to someone else on the list. it's okay to do that. well i've said my peace.
from penmaster :
Grant, you know how I feel about these things. I've been there too buddy, and more than just once around the block. Talking to someone is a bold and helpful move, even if you have doubts about it. Hang in there man.
from lip-service :
I sent you an email to the juno account...I don't know if that's the right one or not...but check that one!
from penmaster :
oh man. i just pressed PLAY on the little RealPlayer thingy on ur page, and it had "Overjoyed"~!!!! i love Stevie Wonder man.
from emilylime :
interesante... btw, i like the picture on your diary. what's it from?
from emilylime :
but hairless guys intimidate me because i'm not hairless :( :( basically, guys are not allowed to: (1) have less body hair than me, (2) be skinnier than me, (3) have longer fingernails than me (i keep them very short).
from penmaster :
mmm...i like that futon bed too. can i join you? ;)
from h1ghj1nx :
hmmmmm... i want a dog, too. i can relate to you when u talk about how it is with your friends. well, hope things get better! later, me
from emilylime :
yeah, workshop blah. i think that people fail to remember that they're supposed to be thinking about the original author's intent, not "what would i personally do with this story to make it better?" my short story got ripped apart by my peers, and a lot of them made editing suggestions that totally removed the voice i had. basically, i'm kind of snobbish and think that i'm above my peers (in this class anyway.. i mean, one kid wrote about flatulence in his story, wtf). i only value my gsi's comments heh heh.
from twitchygeek :
we missed you, too. people in cars are squirrelly; i bet that guy's karma gets him blowed up. ; P good luck with that chica from work. *wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more, say no more*
from h1ghj1nx :
i like reading your entries...:)
from penmaster :
you son of a gun! e-mail me whenever you finally get settled and such. i miss your at length explanations of stuff. =D
from twitchygeek :
it has come to my attention that i've never noted you, and now i feel like a dick. i personally always hated unpacking (done it at least 15 times that i can recall offhand) because i always stumble upon an old journal or book and start to read it... then realize it's a decade later and i'm a skeleton of a chick in a now decrepid apartment who starved herself to death while unpacking. my fingers are crossed that you do not find the same fate. have much fun in the new place. ;)
from emilylime :
ooh, the font from mellon collie and the infinite sadness ;)
from deepblue3 :
Thanks for the note. I've been havin' ups and downs, but nothing serious. The thing is my husband is coming home in less than 2 months and I'm getting anxious. So, really if you think about it, it's a good thing. Thank you so much for bein sweet and asking though. Now, about your masturbation material... well... it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Ha ha! Don't feel bad about Chun Li, She's hot! Nothing sexier than a woman with strong thighs. heh heh. "Spinning side kick!"
from emilylime :
ohh, nothing wrong with chun-li, she *was* my fave character actually =p originally i'd told a few of my friends about my diary but more and more people found out about it, and some of my friends link to it in their webpages. whatever. i do have a secret diary that i might reveal someday. oh and i don't have a gold membership so i guess my diary lasts forever. i dunno, guys have said things about my "soft lips" or "sweet lips" and it just irritates me. but yeah. ha. my ex-best friend once wouldn't stop laughing, saying, "haha your lips look so plump!" ok, now i'm making it sound like i have giant lips, which i don't. stupid ex-best friend. oh... no i don't have realplayer.
from emilylime :
hahahaha!~!! chun-li! i dunno, i think those manly brown legs are kinda scary. but she was awesome, the only character i ever used in that game haha. wow, i can't believe you wrote that list. i would be too embarrassed to write a lot of the things you write.. but that's partly cuz a lot of ppl at school read my diary, which sucks. i want a new diary. anyway your note made me smile, i've been feeling shitty lately. all the music i listed... i felt like it was too much for ppl to read, but not enough in the sense that i barely tapped into the music i love. did i ever tell you i d/led that moloko song you wrote about? oh and i liked the radiohead string arrangement a lot. unfortunately the music feature doesn't work for me anymore... oh man, sorry i wrote such a long note! :\
from penmaster :
LMAO = laughing my ass off. and what was so random was the left nut thing. good times, good times.
from penmaster :
wtf? that's so random. LMAO
from penmaster :
try not to get hit by a car, sweety. i know things are tough but hang in there. you're right --- a new day usually does bring more clarity to thought. and thanks for leaving me a Note. you didn't have to. i'd already read your entry where you said you wanted to stay away from e-mail for a while, so i understood and respected your feelings. when you're ready to resume our longform emailing, i'll be eager to start again. =) in the meantime, keep us posted. your diary rox my sox.
from six30 :
Oh yeah, you bet I'm jealous that you're in the year-round warmth of Honolulu! Today it's a record breaking -30 deg C, or -22 deg F all day & night. Damn!
from penmaster :
yo thanx for stopping by my diary. i dig the whole music clip thing going on at the bottom of your page. that Gerbil song is a trip. i have a friend who totally loves gerbils too. she even has it as part of her SN. anywho, Earl Boykins is a mystery to me, mainly cuz i haven't kept up with Warriors action much. i think they won against the Wizards cuz they had to make up for losing in Minnesota. at least the Wiz made up for THEIR loss in New York, although only by --- what was it, two points? i swear, once Jordan gets out of there, they're gonna be back to being old news, unless Stackhouse can start scoring points at HOME too instead of just on the road. then we'd really have a bonafied original star, not just reusing Jordan.
from lip-service :
I like the music...I'm so proud of you-totally proud.
from h1ghj1nx :
:)
from exiles :
duh, I just noted myself
from exiles :
Hi ! Thanks for responding to my note =). I was wondering though is this code for the player as well? I know it is real one, what is the code for REalone? Is it the one you gave me. I got a web page up, I found a code for Windows Media player but I rather use Real Audio. Thanks for the help. I tried copying the one you gave me but it didn't seem to work. Thanks again. -Grant
from h1ghj1nx :
oh, yeah...just copy and paste the code as is.
from h1ghj1nx :
hello...:) okay here's the source code for music on your page. first, you'll need to upload the song of your choice onto a free website/storage area online. then insert this code into your template on diaryland or any website you're creating: <EMBED SRC="http://www.FREE-WEBSITE.com/BLAH/BLAH/BLAH/SONG.MP3" AUTOSTART="yes" WIDTH=145 HEIGHT=60> thankz for visiting my site. catch yah laterz, me
from emilylime :
wow!! i want to hear this symphonic radiohead stuff. where can i find it?
from emilylime :
yes, but when does your school year end? i'll be done in mid-april :) ohhh there was a dream-recording device in the movie final fantasy, which i didn't like, but the idea of the device was cool.
from emilylime :
oh... i'm paranoid. i don't know if there really is anyone stalking me, but it's entirely possible, too many people from "real" life know of my diary... grrr.
from emilylime :
i knew someone who skydived (skydove?) a lot and he seemed to be fine, so i say go for it! i typed "knew" rather than "know" because i don't talk to him anymore, not because he died or something heheh.
from emilylime :
hehehe you've had some very interesting and/or amusing entries lately. i did talk to the guy on monday night, and he said he was glad that i said it right out :|
from lip-service :
you are amusing to me and the way you love comics makes me smile b/c it's such a little boy thing that i never want you to grow out of.
from lip-service :
ok ok....once and for all...let's clarify this....RTF = radio television and film...it's another way of saying "a film major"...which is what you are? or did you say theatre?
from lip-service :
FTR...i don't know what i was talking about...how was i using it? Geez...i'm confusing myself even!
from six30 :
Your costume turned out really well!
from emilylime :
thought i'd leave a note rather than a guestbook entry for some variety. haha, yeah i go by girl. i couldn't be labeled a "woman" if i tried. did you bleach your hair before dyeing it green? oh and i love "sexy boy", one of my favorites :) i think i wanted to say more, but i forgot.
from six30 :
