Thank you so much for the lovely note! And yes, NewWifey(tm) will always be NewWifey(tm), for however long. That moniker started as a joking play on an old song. It's not some reference to the fact that she's my new wife, since she never was. She's my first, and only. There never was an OldWifey(tm) :) And it's good to see you back blogging again! Albeit with a rather dolorous entry. I know how tough it is to watch the slow decline of a loved one, so my best wishes to you both. Looking forwards to seeing more posts from you now!
from cocoabean :
Not many left, I read but not write. Glad to see you back!
from rockhound :
I am so glad to see another entry from you! Here's hoping the latter half of 2013 results in a rain of goodness for you from the heavens.
from catsoul :
6/16/13...wow....how the heck are you and where and what is up and new with you? It sure has been awhile. I tried to link to your facebook page, with no luck. Anyhoo, glad to see that you are still alive and writing some. I have missed reading what you write. Take Care. =^..^=
from starhearts :

Hi Fairygodmum. Just found your update from way back in Feb. 2010 and realized that I had missed seeing it. Sending on to you a special hug and a prayer..miss you and hope your doing ok! C.
from rockhound :
*Hugs* I doubt you know this name (used to be Radiogurl way back when.) But the hugs are just as real. I hope things take an upturn for you. Just draw a deep breath and remember everything happens for a reason.
from awittykitty :
I sure have missed you Fairygodmum. I only knew it was ash wednesday today because my mom was taken to the ER and everyone had ashes on their forehead. It was pretty odd. Guess we need to take one day at a time. Welcome back.
from starhearts :
Hi Fairygodmum..miss reading your site on d-land as it was a highlight to my days for a long time :o) good memories..hope you are doing well in life ! Hugs! C. starhearts
from fightn4life :
I loved your Shout it from the mountain post. I understand the "time" thing. I was thinking of an entry much like yours. Thanks for writing it for me. Awesome entry. Sandyz
from awittykitty :
I went to a mental health meeting last week and everyone felt the need to tell the bad and horrible things had happened to them since the last meeting. I recounted all the good things. I felt guilty. I guess its ok to look at the bright side and be proud then? Sounds good to me! :-) Thanks Fairygodmum.
from rockhound :
I'm only just now reading this. Much as I know you miss him, I also know you're both Buddhist and Catholic. He's in a fresh new life now, whatever version thereof you envision. I wish peace and comfort for you and your family. *Hug*
from fightn4life :
I am so sorry about the passing of your dad; I cant imagine the pain of going through this alone. I believe and I might be full of craponly death will reveal the truthyou will one day be reunited. I hold tight to this belief so I find comfort I will one day be reunited with those that have passed before me. My heart and prayers are with you, Sandyz
from awittykitty :
I still miss my Dad after 7 years. Your Dad sounds like a wonderful, caring man who did everything to make your life good. My thoughts are with you, fairygodmum.
from cocoabean :
OH Mum, I'm so sorry...
from catsoul :
Time is but the essence to eternity. I am so sad to read about your dad passing. Like you wrote though, he lived a good life. There isn't more to say, because words cannot convey it. Sending you a hug. Take care of yourself. =^..^=
from sasori-gal :
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My heart is with you and your family.
from minstrelite :
I know what it's like for your dad to have been a good man, and to have lost him. I'm sorry to hear about your father. I know he is in a better place, and may the strength he finds there be added to your own.
from rockhound :
Heh! I love your uber-nerdiness! You beat me all to heck.
from sasori-gal :
I would love to connect via facebook so that next time around when you're in Japan, we can indeed meet up! My e-mail is [email protected] . I'll have to check out that application, but is it as addictive as everything else there?! *heehee*
from boxx9000 :
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR (year of the ox) We need to meet face to face. Are you ready? email me at [email protected] and let's make some plans. ((((hugs))))
from rockhound :
I clicked on the Facebook link and it merely took me to my own profile. That's not necessarily a bad thing - just struck me as funny!
from awittykitty :
I know what you mean about us women-folk trying to change men. They ain't playdough. If you can't enjoy or tolerate their individuality (or them being dorks), then you should move on to someone else. I've only just learned this in the last year or so.
from beauty4ashs :
I wanted to see Benjamin Button but haven't gotten to it yet. I'll probably catch it out on video somewhere down the line. And I hear you about squeezing the pennies 'til they're paper thin. I've done it my whole life.
from awittykitty :
even though I don't really like blonde boys, Brad did look hot on his motorcycle in "Benjamin Button". :-)
from fightn4life :
I have noticed many people have hopes this coming year to lose weight, quit smoking, work on relationships or have set some awesome goals. I find my self hoping I will not jump off the bluffs during this new year. (only kidding) I took the quiz too...mine said, "I am a reinventing spiritual self-knower" I hope that is a good thing as I haven't a clue what it means. I need to continue to work on thinking positive...that can't be a bad thing. :) Sandyz
from starhearts :
When I lost 50 pds (gained back about 24 or so), I was drinking water instead of juice or pop and when I sat down I just always had a glass of it sitting near my regular favourite chair so when I was thristy it was already there. I did some extra walking (not tons but some), ate lots of fruit as I am not a veggies person much (working on it), ate little to no pastries (that was a killer), little chocolate, chips or fried foods...if it was on the menu I tried to pick something healthier and said to myself well that looks good but X is better for me and I will like it too...and I did. It is really not hard actually it is just little changes that add up to a few pounds here and there...I am working on getting back there now...I still want to go out and buy a bag of chips and it is 3:30 in the morning and I have the munchies...but I did have some pears in syrup (ok without the syrup would be better but at least it is fruit and not the sour creme and onion chips I want to eat at the moment...still a bit munchy though...might be time for a cup of tea and then back to zzz's. Good luck with the water and enjoy it as it is really good for you! Btw...how do you get to live more positively? Just curious? :) C.
from starhearts :
Congrads on the houseguests leaving :) the drinks sound like a good idea at this point lol Thanks for the note of encouragement...sometimes life is just far more difficult and it just keeps coming that way...no idea as to why though? In any case I will try to focus on your advice instead...it certainly can't hurt :) C.
from beauty4ashs :
I think all of us at Diaryland ended up with company all Christmas weekend. I am glad your company situation was better than mine!
from awittykitty :
I second that. My best friend from Calif. came this summer for 3 days and by the 1st night she was telling me what I was doing wrong in my apt. And asking "Why do you drink Diet Coke??" And mocking my mental health condition. Second day I finally snapped at her about something. She finally backed off. I think now I know why I live alone. We did have some fun though, and I loved having someone to talk to and play Scrabble with. Happy New Year, Fairy Godmum.
from poolagirl :
Yup! I know how you feel! I had surprise guests for the holidays, and it makes things "twisty" at times.
from brightopal :
What a warm, lovely Christmas. You're right; so often we confuse tangible gifts with true JOY. They are not the same thing, and of the two, presents are the lesser. Happy New Year. Thank you for giving the true gift - joy - throughout the year.
from fightn4life :
I was thrilled to read your Christmas was a good one. Here is to hoping a new year will be a memorable one. Sandyz
from awittykitty :
here's to a new year that will exceed our expectations with its sheer unexpectedness and a wealth of opportunities to shine and be loved. And maybe some chocolate too. :-)
from boxx9000 :
MERRY CHRISTMAS. Peace, Love, Health & Happiness in 2009
from brightopal :
Oooh, I love the Santa convention on the streets of San Francisco. How awesome is THAT??? Thank you for the pictures. :D
from awittykitty :
...and I'm sure there were a few drag queen Santas too. LOL!
from brightopal :
You're like me. The last time I saw the inside of a beauty shop was walking in front of it on the way to the dollar store. I hope the job with the government comes through for you. I cannot fathom being able to spend that much getting my hair fixed, much less wearing heels and stuff to work. I *have* heels but can't do them on the bus.
from boxx9000 :
Good luck on your job search. P.S. I like all your music selections you have on your page. GO MOTOWN.
from awittykitty :
There really is no excuse to treat us beautiful, intelligent, talented, creative women like that. None. Crawling is not an option. Don't forget fairygodmum, those interviewers are only one step away from the sidewalk, even if they act like smug assholes. Keep your chin up woman. I've seen your work. You're very talented.
from casa-rosie :
Songs in the Key of Life is one of my all-time favorite albums! I remember when Coolio changed Pastime Paradise into Gansta's Paradise, and I 'bout blew a gasket! All these kids going on about how wonderful Coolio is, and I'm telling them that it's a take off of a Stevie Wonder song. They didn't believe me until I pulled out my old vinyl! Good luck on the job, I'm sure that they were dead-pan and non-committal for all of the interviews!
from brightopal :
*Hugs* If you were here I'd refer you to where I work. We're one place that'll be hiring for the foreseeable future. Maybe not your ideal job, but at least *A* job!
from catsoul :
Hi, thanks for the note, I appreciate that very much. Remember when you made me one of your awesome bracelets, a number of years back. It was sad, last week it broke, and I couldn't find all the pieces. :( I so loved that, and got alot of compliments. It lasted for alot of years, so thank you for that. Now my wrist feels naked, I have tried different ones, but they just don't feel the same. I hope that all is alright for you, I read about your job hunt, good luck with that. Take care!! =^..^=
from awittykitty :
You already gave me some great tunes by the Temptations (who I've seen twice) and Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. What more could I want on a cold winter night! :-)
from boxx9000 :
you could SUB anytime you want for me. Anyone with a BA (and you have a master's right?) is allowed to sub. The current rate is $100 per day. It's probably even MORE in SF. Look into it if you think you could stand it. Subbing is easier than actually running your own classroom. The regular teacher has to leave all the plans for the day. Subs mostly babysit and do crowd control. It's an idea.
from kathrineb :
Hi how are you? well i hope, i've got the flu so all my daily maintainence with chi gong and meditation have fallen, have you got any suggestions? I tend to give myself permission to rest, but then feel more weak and less willing to get active again, i wonder if it is practical to meditate when unwell! love healing and light to you
from boxx9000 :
Are you OK? I hope all is well. I miss you. I'm going to be in SF on Fridy to see PHANTOM. wheeee!
from awittykitty :
Oh, Borderline Personalities are my FAVORITE!! My mom has it too and about 1 hour a week in person is all I can handle. Glad the Vegas trip was good and all the men-folk were lookin' as they should be, since you're totally hot.
from fightn4life :
Dang...I was waiting to see what you left in Vegas before making my trip. ;) Glad you had a good time with your Mum but most important someone you could call when sanity was losing ground. Thanks for the note in my Blog...I turned 56 last of October and thought I saw "old" looking back. But I really didn't mind...I have earned those years. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
Loved the photo of you and your mum, you're both beautiful. Have a wonderful time in Vegas and I hope you win the big one. Sandyz
from awittykitty :
Right when I was getting on the train recently I sneezed so hard I wrenched my neck. Isn't that silly? So I understand your back thing. And my goodness, you and your mum are like hot momma super models! She's 80+?? You're going to be having Vegas types flocking to you, offering to buy you drinks and dinner, I'm thinking. Hope you clean up in Vegas! Safe trip!
from boxx9000 :
Your Mom is EIGHTY?! What is her secret for looking so young? You two have the same lips, mouth and smile. Beautiful women. Enjoy your Vegas trip and remember.....What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. hehehe.
from poolagirl :
Have a great time in Vegas! WOOT! You and your mum are adorable.
from awittykitty :
I have voted for 5 or 6 Presidents since I turned 18 in 1976, but none have meant more than this one and I have never seen such an incredibly overwhelming reaction. I was weeping on and off on Election Night. I think it was mainly a sense of relief. Someone who cares and is intelligent and has integrity is FINALLY in the White House. All I can say is: Yes we can.
from poolagirl :
Well said! I never believed I would live to see this day either. What a historical moment!
from kathrineb :
Hi, i like what you wrote about wishing and also where you are coming from treating all as equals, i am coming from that place myself dispite what my ego tell me at times. My wish is for us all to be true to who we are and to feel safe to share more love. love and hugs kath x
from awittykitty :
I never had the big boobs to lure guys with, just my smart mouth. Gay men are the best for your ego though. They hug you and say pretty things. I think thats why I had so many gay friends in my youth. I think men in our age range are just scared. I keep getting that "I don't feel any spark" thing which I think is really code for "You look like you want to marry me", which is probably true. LOL! Hang in there, sister. We are so worth being loved!
from boxx9000 :
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
from brightopal :
Happy birthday to your mom. She sounds pretty awesome to me!!!
from fightn4life :
I have done that too, make promises about getting back in shape. I started an exercise journal and keep it where I can see it. It helps as I feel like I have to write in it each day. And not that I was to lazy to get my body in motion. You can do it...I know you can. Sandyz
from boxx9000 :
I will GLADLY be your exercise buddy. I've lost 52 pounds over the last year, that's a rate of ONE pound per week, TOTALLY do-able. PLUS, we actually live within driving distance of each other! Are you ready to get serious about getting healthy? If you are, email me at [email protected] and we'll start with just supporting each other with getting moving on a daily basis. Then there's diet. I'm VEGAN these days. It didn't happen overnight, this was a lifestyle change for me. I was ready, I wanted to change, I wanted to be fit and healthy. I am NOW! You can, too. It's do able. baby steps, they all add up to success.
from brightopal :
I hate my body - I am seriously overweight and in need of dieting and exercise. But you know something? At least once every single day, some man hits on me. Today it was two. Truly, don't wait for a boyfriend. Someone is out there who will appreciate you as you are right now - and the rest will fall into place once that's resolved.
from awittykitty :
I have found that food is largely a substitute for human companionship...clear and simple. So that is why I have been slogging to social events trying to talk to people rather than home secretly eating vast quantities of chocolate lately. Chocolate can't hug you. And I seriously doubt that people only see the physical you. I think they probably see the lovely thoughtful giving you. Don't forget that, OK?
from starhearts :
You could always write your meal plans here and then we can encourage you and you can inspire some of us :) I feel like more of a recliner potatoe myself and a bit more ready for a nap then the gym at most points. So your stories of how you are doing working towards a new balance of living would be helpful to hear. If your are terrific on the inside my belief is that people will know that beyond anything you ever look like. The aim of healthy living needs to be that you will then live longer to fill out your destiny...reflection on why you are doing what you choose will motivate you far further then putting yourself down for your body shape. In the end that alone will only eat at your soul..don't take yourself there as you are more then that by far. Instead look at challenging yourself to one positive thing each day whether it is the gym, eating the right choice, calling a good friend, connecting with a loved one, one positive that will make a difference and they will build themselves into reshaping not only your outter appearance perhaps but your overall life. Tell me more about meditation? I would like to know what you know..ironically I still do not really understand how to do it as much as I have a prayer life it needs to go deeper. Any thoughts? Hugs C.
from fightn4life :
What an interesting entry on Karma, great links too. Sandyz
from brightopal :
I figure I must've had a boring previous life to have such an *ahem* interesting one now...
from awittykitty :
I think of karma all the time. And I am convinced I had an earlier life like in Louisiana involving music. I just get quick flashes of it.
from awittykitty :
Gah, I think its #A, BUT that is no reflection on your awesomeness, my dear! I guess its my past with Gay Men. When I think of models, I think Gay. But they DO make great friends. My best friend of over 30 years is gay and I wouldn't trade him for 400 straight ones who are duds. Don't give up though. And for goodness sakes....don't put yourself down. We may be getting forgetful and dizzy in our old age, but do you think THEIR aging process has stopped? Doubtful. Why do you think there is so many erectile dysfunction commercials on TV. LOL!!
from brightopal :
*Hugs* You just clarified to the universe what you want. Whether or not this man has the potential is up in the air; but sometimes Mr. WRONG may pave the way to Mr. RIGHT. You yourself said it's been ages. Maybe you need a little interim fun to give you just the right smile to attract Mr. Right ;) And I'm right there with you on the bra size - I am up to a G cup :(
from starhearts :
I think you know who you are and clearly what you need in a partner if you are to have one...don't settle for anything less then that because in the end you sound VERY CLEAR about who you are and what you value and anyone else less than that will take that focus and energy away from where you are going and how you are getting there and that would be a shame. I think you have done well one your own overall from what I have read and you are an inspiration to me :) thanks!!
from fightn4life :
I am so glad my husband stopped drinking...I recall thinking he drinks himself stupid. I am so glad he figured it out on his own...Lords knows I could do nothing. But leave. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
I recall the days when I too drove going the incorrect way on the highway. I got stopped but got no ticket. It was a time when it wasn't unheard of "girl talken" your way out of having your car impounded. No thing as DUI. Now...not a chance and I too wish the kids understood it better, this can ruin a life...or end one. My thoughts are with those boys. Sandyz
from awittykitty :
My Dad was an alcoholic. That was a fabulous commercial for me NOT to drink. Hope they learn their lesson before anyone gets hurt. You got your work cut out for you, my dear.
from poolagirl :
Yes....those boys need a wake-up call. Stay your course, matey. They need your wisdom.
from brightopal :
I hate to disappoint you, but stupidity knows no age limits. For my kids' poor judgment I blame myself and their father. Their father for his own drug and alcohol use - and myself for not grandstanding much earlier so my children didn't live through the horrors they survived.
from fightn4life :
My first mistake when I moved south was to jump the gun and take a job I was unable to do physically paying way less than my unemployment. Had I had the good sense to get a better job not one that paid so low and was difficult to do I might have enjoyed my time. I had 18 weeks left on unemployment...was I nuts or not. Nuts! The way I figure things now it all happened for a reason, God it feels good to be back to where it feels like home to me. Enjoy your time off, (that is my 2 cents) :) Sandyz
from starhearts :
yes I am reading cocobean and her new adventures at Home D was well LOL...she does seem to like it ok there though. My friend here says it is a good company to work for generally, a bit understaffed he feels in that he works in the electrical and plumbing department and mainly ends up being the only person to cover those whole departments on his own. Since he damaged his shoulder they have not been too bad though and he got workmans comp for some of the time off and their benefits also kicked in so he is on the mend and working pt but they are holding his job open and he should be back ft in no time. But he said that the benefits were a must to getting through it all and they have covered his wife's drugs when she had back surgery so again the benefits were good to have. Good luck!!! C.
from poolagirl :
Thank you so much for the prayer. I fully grasp the power of your words and I accept the goodness of their intent. I also think you are amazing.
from brightopal :
Wow, if you're making as much on unemployment as Home D, you're doing pretty well. Here in Arizona, unemployment benefits top out at $240 a week - if you're lucky enough to get that much. I guess that's just one more example of the difference between California and Arizona. Either way, congratulations on the extension - and here's to finding a great job before the extension runs out! :)
from starhearts :
Thanks for the note about encouragement to take the new course...definitely made me smile and a nice message to wake up to this morning :) Congrads on the extra UI benefits...they will be a huge help I am sure!!! I have a friend here in London, Ontario that works for the big Depot and he says that the benefits are EXCELLENT....just an fyi if medical benefits are an issue for you as sometimes those kinds of things make a huge difference even if the pay is a bit lower...you might want to check into it? Smiles and Hugs and thanks.. :) C.
from brightopal :
Despite the hype, I didn't have any particular urge to see this film. If you go see another movie, go see Mamma Mia. It's silly and fun and uplifting.
from starhearts :
Thank you for the warning about this movie as the kids were wanting to go to it and we were to take them Friday..I on the other hand would have really hated it...by your description it is the kind of movie I really do try to avoid personally as they give me nightmares often, etc. So that is good..talked to hubby and we very well might go see something else or at least he knows I really don't want to go there Friday. THANK YOU!!! :) Hope your summer is going well :)
from bantenhut :
wow...sounds like a bad movie. if you ask me, Iron Man was the blockbuster of the summer. I highly recommend it! and i don't even like action movies. it was thrilling, with a little bit of romance and LOTS of kickass (and totally unrealistic, but whatevs), machinery. and there was a plot, go figure! amazing. anyway, that's all i got. tchao!
from casa-rosie :
I have no desire to see the Dark Knight, but I sure do want to see Mamma Mia! Another movie that is very enjoyable is Hancock. Gotta love an angry Superhero who causes millions of dollars of damage every time helps the police! Then when a PR guy takes over and tries to help him fix his image...well, I thought it was a good movie.
from brightopal :
Well, I think it's a little different for girl puppies. I think. And as to your making peace with the financial situation, that's probably why all these months later you're still alive, still have a roof over your head and food to eat. Something WILL come along in time. It always does :)
from awittykitty :
Good luck on your continuing job search. You're a diamond, fairygodmum, half buried in the sand. The world just has to find you and dust you off and realize how fortunate they are to have found you. :-)
from cocoabean :
If you can figure out how to get a boy puppy to change door knobs and take out the garbage, let me know and I'll get a dog!!
from brightopal :
Aww, the wedding sounds lovely :) And you wore blue, too! As for the temple, I hope someday I have the privilege of visiting. It sounds lovely.
from awittykitty :
We want to see Fairygodmum in a kilt....Pleaseeee!!!! :-)
from brightopal :
I think black and yellow would be just fine - as would a blue sapphire nestled among rubies.  Bet you'd like THAT blue ;)  I do suggest some light hint of blue, rather than making it your primary color.  Wear what works for YOU!<br>
from starhearts :
Hey Congrads Mama Bee (gosh that is CUTE)..happy times watching your little sweetie getting married :) What a great way to celebrate with them by standing up and saying HEY I LOVE YOU GUYS! :) Happy b-lated B-Day and nice to have a wonderful ex that sent you the laptop..WOW what a GIFT! Life sometimes is just plain good..sounds like yours is working on the right karma directions :) SMILES & HUGS! C.
from awittykitty :
Happy Birthday Mz. Fairygodmum!! What GREAT presents you had. A new computer! And I'd love to push my brother into a pool too. He also did the sneak and push thing to me. Boys are so dumb! Well, at least sometimes! Hope we're all happier and wealthier -in all ways- by 9/9/09!!
from cocoabean :
Happy birthday! If you want to do retail, try The Home Depot... they give benefits to part timers, so far I've found them to be a good company to work for... ok, so it's only been a week and a half, but one can tell about these things!
from brightopal :
Happy birthday and thank you *Hugs* It sounds like your birthday was a truly amazing day -- how wonderful is that??? But hope the slipped disk gets better soon :(
from sasori-gal :
Apologies for being belated but hope your birthday was fabulous! *birthday cake hugs and ice cream kisses*
from fightn4life :
Girls time away I love the sound of that. Thanks for telling a bit about LA, I have never been there, Mexico yes so I got the visual. Have a great time and I hope you do get discovered. Sandyz
from awittykitty :
I used to have a male Siamese cat that I was convinced would have been a gay man if he was human. He was very fey. Hope you have fun in L.A. :-)
from fightn4life :
I have a wish to be granted...no questions just your pass word and user name. LOST in the shuffle of setting my computer up. Sigh... I feel like a broken record...wow, do you remember those? Sandyz [email protected]
from brightopal :
Welcome back to the world of the unlocked! And perhaps the question of your job and good karma aren't about anything except where you are. I am discovering that a lot of us Diaryland friends are coming together in clusters. Methinks there's a pattern developing very quickly~
from awittykitty :
So you sayin' New Yawkers talk fast and ask a lot of questions? Sounds like the last guy I dated and he wasn't even Jewish. Also thanks for reminding me what I do have. I forget that all the time. I should probably plink my karma bracelet when that happens and say "That one's for fairygodmum!" :-)
from starhearts :
Glad to have you back with us...well not that you went anywhere but I missed reading along..hope it is ok to rejoin you :) Christine
from brightopal :
I'm glad you were at the temple at the right time. There are no accidents - your life unfolded as was intended, as always :)
from awittykitty :
Glad you made it despite those silly Bay to Breaker runners. And happy it was such a thrilling and joyous experience. Hope you still talk to us now that you're a Big Screen TV star. :-)
from brightopal :
Awww, how cool is that? Sounds like the gentleman in question may be shy. Good luck - maybe he'll gain a little bit of courage soon ;)
from fightn4life :
I saw you added me to your favs, may I have your pass word and user name, I would love to check into your world. [email protected] Thanks I'll be adding you too as I find a quote from you, Sandyz (fightn4life)
from brightopal :
Awww - well, puppy training takes time. Sounds like she's getting there, slowly but surely :)
from sasori-gal :
yay! i was having trouble with the password but saw your note and hooray! it works! oh, i'm so excited for you and your puppy!! *wheeee*
from brightopal :
Awww, your new puppy sounds like DA BOMB! I hope you find work soon, something that supports you in all meanings of the word :)
from awittykitty :
Kiki sounds like a cutie! And I'm sure that she's glad that fairygodmum swooped into her life and rescued her from those meanies.
from brightopal :
I did try to care about the people where Gerrit's staying. They are the Addams Family I mention repeatedly in my diary. I don't hate them, but neither can I handle living with them - and that's what Gerrit wants.
from awittykitty :
I really struggle with negativity and sarcasm. I was brought up in a house where everyone tried to one up everyone with sarcastic remarks. Try doing that to a little kid and see how they turn out. I know I make fun of the people I'm most jealous of though. I'm not proud of it, but I'll try to work on it. Your message makes a lot of sense. Thanks.
from brightopal :
I haven't done my taxes yet. I did manage to get an extension form in on time, though. I dread it - I owe a lot of money from a few years ago (thanks to a boss who royally screwed me over for taxes) and can't begin to pay it :-/
from fairygodmum :
Sorry everyone who had a difficult time with the password. It's all lower case, try that. Hugz n Lub, Bebe da FairyGodMum
from brightopal :
Thank you for the password - I figured out what was wrong and I'm good to go now. And I hear you about the taxes thing. I still gotta do mine, too :-s
from fairygodmum :
Hope everyone has my Password. Please email me at: [email protected] .... Hugz n Lub, Bebe da FairyGodMum
from ms-do :
bebeeeee, i still don't have your password....are you trying to tell me something.... :)
from brightopal :
Hi Bebe - I sent you an email, didn't get a response back either way. Could I pretty please have your password? You can email me at [email protected] *Hugs*
from mzbee :
4-2-08 I haven't done my taxes yet either. I made the most money I have ever made in my life and I am not looking forward to having to PAY MORE taxes. I'm waiting until the last possible minute. ((((hugs))))
from hissandtell :
I guess you're staying locked up for a while -- if you're sharing your password, would I be able to have it, please? If you just drop me a quick note and let me know one way or the other, I'd appreciate it. Hope everything's okay. Love, R xxx
from chaosdaily :
you can have more than 10 by not putting in emails, just put one username in and one password, and no email... then everyone can use it!
from ms-do :
BEBE, can i have your password are you ok? [email protected]
from brightopal :
I tried emailing your yahoo email but got no response. I understand your decision to privacy but just want to know you're okay. Email me at [email protected] - please?
from sasori-gal :
Hello! Thinking of you and hope all is well. I sent you an e-mail, but if you sent the password back, I'm wondering if it went into my bulk folder and not into my inbox if your e-mail came with a different name. If you're still sharing, my e-mail is [email protected]. Thanks and take care!
from mzbee :
When I locked up I just gave everyone the SAME user name and password and that solved the rule of 10. ((((hugs))))
from starhearts :
Hi I would like to keep reading along if that is ok with you? I tried to send an email through your link but that didn't work so I am leaving you a note here...Hugs and take care of you! [email protected] C.
from mzbee :
so sorry you need to lock up your diary. been there, done that. ((((hugs))))
from chaosdaily :
You know, he really is kind-hearted, but it's buried wayyyyy down deep.
from awittykitty :
I like your friend's suggestions especially the bath parts. Drinking lots of water has always been problematic to me too. That's what that psychic told me last week too. Flush out the ill health and pain with lots of fluids. Here's to feeling better fairygodmum!
from brightopal :
At this point I'm hurting so much, physically and emotionally and spiritually, I'd welcome the physical pounding just because I could re-focus. I haven't watched TV in weeks - could probably pull off the water without a problem. I never thought of it as Nirvana, though, lol. I'm just working myself to death, as usual.
from brightopal :
I am not a fan of the Clintons, but imho Obama shows promise. I have to echo your hope: that whomever is elected, they make peace their first priority
from coldandgray :
I vote for peace, too.
from chaosdaily :
I don't care who wins, if they bring peace to the world.... and thanks for your comment. You are right about notes and tapes starting fights..
from hissandtell :
I do like the Gaydolf Titler line. It reminds me of the Monty Python sketch years ago about the North Minehead Bye-Election, where the candidate Mr Hilter (assisted by his cohorts Heinrich Bimmler and Ron Vibbentrop) is standing for the National Bocialist party. One of his campaign plans, as I recall, is to annex Poland -- and there was some talk of Bomcentration Bamps, too... Love, R xxx
from yarnsmith :
I didn't hear the John Stewart "joke"...doesnt sound too funny to me.
from awittykitty :
Your Oscar speech was very lovely, my dear. Sincerity is not usually that prevalent at the Academy Awards. This was the least amount of nominees I've ever seen this year. I only saw "Sweeney Todd" and it was only because of Johnny Depp. The violence in that was hideous.
from coldandgray :
We tried to see the eclipse, but the moon had not risen high enough for our neighborhood yet. Now I have to wait 3 more years! I, too have spring fever, BAD!
from awittykitty :
Well, even though we had some snow clouds whisping in, last night when Jim and I came out of my art class, we were able to see the full moon looking almost 3/4 olive/grayish green. It was very cool looking. We both thought it was a good omen just as it disappeared under some clouds. I was so glad I got to see it rise earlier too when I picked up my other friend. Plus we had a beautiful African model and I made lots of pretty art. It all HAD to be due to the moon, I say!
from brightopal :
Awww, I'm sorry this stuff hit you, too. It's really slammed everyone this year :-/. I hope you're feeling better SOON~ and about flowers and Valentines Day? I don't recall the last time I had anything significant for Valentine's Day, or even IF I ever did. It's just another day to me.
from starhearts :
Hey I did not know that Grapes BURN Calories!!! COOL! I am going to start eating more of them. I have been on a grapefruit and oranges kick to get the added vitamin C in my system the past few weeks...not anough veggies though...Anyways I would definitely read your book on understanding men in ANY form LOL I DON"T Get them AT ALL...they just confuse the hell out of me!!!!! But since the last guy left last week and I am now on my own, i am working on figuring out which end of life is up... :) HUGS and Hope you are REALLY feeling BETTER SOON!!!! C.
from nicim :
I hope you are feeling better. Think of you often. Nici
from awittykitty :
$20 for six roses is cheap. Here they were $34.95. But I mixed in with all the guys at the stores yesterday buying up the flowers. I've only gotten flowers once. A gay man bought them for me. At least he didn't expect anything in return. (wink) Hope you're feeling better soon!
from starhearts :
Pretty bad that I keep reading your diary and I know I know your name but forget...getting older just is not fun LOL...tell me again??? Anyways, I still am reading along faithfully:)Can I ask a favour for a d-land friend who needs some real prayers, her 12 year old son is on lifesupport due to being hit by a car and her friend's son who was with him has died....it is bad...please pray for Nathan (the boy) and Becka and thiei family.... Some people really touch lives though this site and thank you for touching mine...HUGS Christine
from brightopal :
I would massacre Chinese so I'll simply wish you a Happy New Year in English :) I hope you have a wonderful year of abundance, joy and healing. *Hugs*
from awittykitty :
"Kung hei fat choi" right back at'cha! I Googled Chinese New Years and it was really interesting reading. So many things you should and shouldn't do in the next couple of days, which will affect your luck and well being in the coming year. Thanks for the head's up Fairygodmum, and stay warm!
from brightopal :
I'm with awittykitty - the message of harmony couldn't have come at a better time...
from awittykitty :
I really liked the "What you can do to create the harmony within." thing. I really need that right now. Thanks you for sharing that.
from brightopal :
These days employers read their employees' blogs, myspace pages, yada yada. I have my Diaryland page blocked from search bots but still don't count on my employer seeing or not seeing. Which is why as a rule I don't say a lot about work on here. Though I didn't see a lot in what you wrote that would be a problem.
from awittykitty :
What I don't understand about the employer reading our private thoughts thing is...well, what's the point? We're only one tiny cog in the giant wheel of commerce. Are they afraid we're going to tarnish their so-called perfect reputation by reporting what really happens on any given day? Of course stuff happens. We're only human. Its weird how when you realize that people know about your blog, they won't say anything. Its like a giant elephant standing in the middle of the room. Anyways...sorry for any pain it caused you, Fairygodmum. They should just mind their own damn business. Its only through the internet, that people like me get to meet lovely people like you. I think its a blessing. If they can't stand the truth, they should fix the #&#@'ing problem.
from boxx9000 :
I'm sorry your old job treated you badly. Their loss. I never can understand the WHY employers treat their employees badly? It all comes back to bite them, no?
from starhearts :
Hey Hi! I am terrible that I have been reading along faithfully for what feels like forever and forget that HEY I CAN SEND A NOTE TO SAY HI!!! Sorry about that and a HUG and good karma and prayers your way :) Christine
from brightopal :
I've still got to send you something I made for you over a year ago. Dang. I hope I still have your address saved somewhere... And I like your life's division. Mine was pretty pathetic. I am going to work on that. :)
from yarnsmith :
Happy New Year and good luck with that job hunt
from awittykitty :
welcome back! Glad the cash flow is flowing, at least a little. And I know what you mean about Aries. They can be the most charming guys on earth...helpful and loving, but then turn and say the meanest things. I'm still very enamored with a certain one. Erg! Happy New Year!
from brightopal :
Welcome back! *Hugs* And I hear you about the Year of the Rat - just commented on it a little while ago in my own diary. If you're still taking wishes, I actually do have one. I wish for a long-term, safe, stable home of my own. :(
from brightopal :
*Hugs* Things are due to turn around for you shortly. And I hope you really DID report the missing paycheck to the Labor Board. I don't know about CA, but in Arizona if an employer doesn't pay you, you're entitled to three times the amount of the paycheck!
from awittykitty :
Sorry to hear about the slow moving check from your last employer. I always imagine myself spouting off to people like that saying "Put yourself in my shoes" and see what they think. Probably nothing. The Have's and the Have Not's have a totally different mind-set. Thanks for the tip on pet store dumpster diving. I've dumpster dived for much of the furniture and house hold stuff in my apt. Never thought of pet food though.
from brightopal :
You should absolutely apply for unemployment. The latest employer shouldn't have let you go for being sick and your unemployment check WILL be based on the old retailer income. It might not be a lot of money but will be more than nothing!!!
from boxx9000 :
11-22-07 HAPPY (and healthy) THANKSGIVING
from awittykitty :
I hate when employers make up arbitrary rules to fit their needs. It sometimes feels like workers have no rights and we should feel "lucky" we even got hired. The employer should feel lucky that have us, I say. I hope you go kick some ass and get that money "YOU WORKED FOR". Happy Thanksgiving, my dear.
from casa-rosie :
Last time I was in Calif, your employer has I think 48 or 72 hours to get you your paycheck after they fire you. If YOU quit, they have until the end of the normal pay period. If they fired you for being ill, I believe you may have a case with unemployment, and remember, they go back I think a year and a half to determine unemployment benefits. Now, don't quote me, because it's been a LONG time, but that's how I remember it! GO for it! As for my wish, I wish we had a Fairy Godmother who would come visit all of us next October in Tombstone! We will have such fun! I'll wager we can even round up a tiara!
from brightopal :
Honey, Sweet Sixteen NEVAH goes out of style! I'm hovering near that number and am THRILLED to be there ;)
from awittykitty :
Size 16 is beautiful and sexy, goddess fairygodmum. Don't forget that! Good luck in Vegas!
from brightopal :
I hope the dizziness subsides soon. That's got to be frustrating! *Hugs*
from yarnsmith :
Sorry to hear your feeling dizzy. Your parents sound wonderful. I miss my Daddy so much.
from brightopal :
You're lucky to have such a good relationship with your parents. Mine were so busy telling me how awful I was that I finally just stayed away. I figured if I was that bad, it stood to reason they wanted nothing to do with me. They're both gone now, of course, so they no longer have the responsibility of telling me what a screw-up I am.
from awittykitty :
My mom is still an insatiable flirt at almost 80. I take after my Dad though. Shy and retiring. I was also a Daddy's Girl when he was still alive. :-)
from awittykitty :
A 13 hour wait? You broke my many records with my mom in the ER. We usually wait 6-9 hours because we're those useless icky Medicaid types. Sorry to hear about your ear infection, my dear. Hope you're feeling better real soon.
from brightopal :
That doesn't sound right. If you have an inner ear infection, you SHOULD be taking an antibiotic. Sounds like a clinic would be the right move.
from brightopal :
It sounds like you are in a good place now. I did the same thing: less money but you don't hate waking up in the morning (or in the middle of the night) to go to work!
from yarnsmith :
My favorite job of all time was at a Pet store....I'm happy for you that you get to work at such a "happy" place. Fish are indeed interesting creatures.
from awittykitty :
I visit pet stores all the time to visit with the critters (huge animal lover) and am always aware of what a small space they live in at the store and how sad they must be. So I'm happy to hear you're on the case as Pet Whisperer, fairygodmum. Give them my love, ok?
from boxx9000 :
HAPPY FALL EQUINOX
from awittykitty :
Gee, I can't imagine the "children" from the unholy union of Peek and Hippity Hop. LOL!
from depleted-mom :
I'm new here, because I am always looking to meet new people and communities. I hope you will not consider this rude, but I have found a great site that pays you to blog. I was reading through your blog and thought you might be interested in a site that pays you to blog. If you click the link below you can check it out. I have met some great people there. I don't think you should stop diaryland or anything, but you could copy and paste your blog entries and them post them to the blog at yuwie. You earn money for page views on your site. I really like this site, and hope you do too. www.yuwie.com/yuwie.asp?r=26479 , this is the link for you to sign up for a blog profile of your own. If you are already a member at yuwie, send me a friend request by going to http://www.yuwie.com/profile/?id=26479 .
from sasori-gal :
Oh, I meant to write a note to you yesterday, but now you beat me to it! We are off today for the Autumn Equinox. Here's to burning away the negative karma. I know good things are headed your way! Sinbad sends his love and would LOVE to have you as his washer anyday!! *hugs and fingers crossed*
from ms-do :
Everything is alright here. Seamus and the other boy both had to speak to the Year coordinator, the other boy apologised to Seamus, they both had separate meeting and both told the same story so they were pleased neither of them lied. The had a joint meeting and both signed a contract and were both told of the next level of punishment if they went down the same path. It was successfully resolved and no hard feeling from either of them. Thanks for thinking of Seamus in your post. love C xxx
from brightopal :
I know you're looking for work, but sometimes unemployment - stressful as it is - is also a breather, allowing you a few moments to appreciate the beauty of a sunset, or the smell of the ocean in the morning, or the sound of a baby's laugh. Don't get so caught up in the search for money that you lose track of the REAL treasures. We all love you and we're sending positive vibes your way!
from awittykitty :
Its good that you have some friends in the position to hire you. Although I wish you could be that fabulicious creative director that you want. Good luck and I hope that you hear some good news shortly. You're too good to pass up, I'm thinkin'. :-)
from yarnsmith :
I used to be a dog washer...it was the most God awful job I've ever had. You have a wet tummy all day from leaning up against a wet sink...get covered in hair and Oh' the way you smell after just a few hours. Then you have to go out in public to go home and look and smell like homeless person.
from ms-do :
Thanks for that support. Do you think it's ok that someone is able to punch another person in the head making their jaw go out of alignment?
from brightopal :
*Hugs* I am sorry you had to deal with so much garbage, and sorry you're unemployed - but glad you are finally moving ahead to bigger and better things. You're almost certainly right about Big Retailer, too - just don't let the experience sour you. Some companies are drastically better. You ostensibly do the same job (or at least a similar one) and it's dramatically different - dramatically better! Though with your background and talents, I would think you should be talking about employment with art galleries, schools of dance, etc. *Hugs* Sometimes karma needs a little boost on your part ;)
from ms-do :
Oh BEBE congrats, great things are coming your way baby....Oh i've moved house too....i should update....i think i will today....love Do!
from coldandgray :
good for you.
from awittykitty :
Oh Ms. Bebe, good riddance to bad rubbish. You are worth so much more than some nucklehead mistreating such a wonderful goddess like you. I never thought it was a good fit for you, since you're such a wonderfully creative and thoughtful person. Sorry about the dude-guy. They are a sneaky bunch those married ones. Here's to a better tomorrow. Hugs from the East Coast!!!
from boxx9000 :
I need you to tell me what you *feel* email me at [email protected]
from boxx9000 :
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!
from starhearts :
HI! Haven't been on d-land daily like i use to, but I am glad you are still here and I love the formate of topics that you picked to chat about!!! AMAZING!!! Congrads on your H-b-DAY! I was wondering if it was 16 (not LOL), 25, 34, 43, 52 LOL - Whatever it was I know that Vegas would have been really fun to celebrate it!!!!!!! :) OH and congrads on your gay friend coming back to the area!!!! VERY EXCITING as I know you think alot of him! TC and thanks for making me SMILE! C.
from awittykitty :
Oh those naughty married men with jags! They are everywhere! I saw my old married guy yesterday and almost had a moment of weakness. Glad you had fun in Vegas. Happy 16th/25th/34th birthday (I'm not too good at math, but I do know what adds up to seven).
from ms-do :
I agree if you think he's married then he most likely is. Oh and happy birthday 25!! that is fantastic.....smile miss you!
from brightopal :
Welcome back again! From my experience, if your gut instinct says this guy's married, he's probably married. And you're right: if he is, he's poison to your karma. Better to take the high road.
from chaosdaily :
happy birthday! a family reunion for a month??!
from sasori-gal :
Happy belated Birthday! Numerology is amazing, isn't it?! Wow~ so much seems to be happening in your life! I just love reading your updates. Here's wishing you all the best this birthday year multiplied by 7! *hugs*
from brightopal :
*Hugs* I'm sorry you don't have any time to yourself these days. Life goes in cycles and the old reference to "feast or famine" really is true. We have enough time to ourselves and enough times we work. Trouble is that instead of a daily balance, karma evens out over a lifetime...
from coldandgray :
Somehow I missed the post about your friend, I am so sorry. Your beautiful dream made me feel so much better about my own losses. Happy birthday & go tear up Las Vegas for me!
from awittykitty :
she will be happy to see your heart-felt entry, fairygodmum.
from yarnsmith :
Your entry was beautiful and you said it just right. So sorry for the physical loss of your dear friend but as you so beautifully said it, she will always be with you.
from brightopal :
I am so sorry to hear about your friend... *Hugs*
from acaldwell :
my condolences to you over the loss of your friend. she will always be in your heart. ♥
from brightopal :
Don't beat yourself up over an attraction to a nice-looking, nice-smelling man. That's part of the human experience. I can't promise things will work out, obviously, but you'll never know if you don't give yourself permission to try, either :)
from awittykitty :
I hope he's a nice one and that he's single (believe me, they don't always mention silly things like wives). Just be careful. Hearts are hard to heal.
from catsoul :
How you can resist, falling into the eyes and being kissed by the lucious lips of his? You must make the first move, just reach in towards him and maybe he will do the same!! Can't wait to read that you both connected!!! Take care, and thanks again for the karma bracelets, I am now only wearing one, because the one broke(boohoo). Happy thoughts are being sent your way!!! =^..^=
from sasori-gal :
Oh, exciting! Keep us posted on "The Crush!"
from yarnsmith :
Yeah, it's ok for a girl to make a move. Wow..a guy with a Jag and a boat....go for it. Have fun!!!
from awittykitty :
Yay for a guy with a Jag. He just better be nice to my dear fairygodmum though, otherwise I'll come and kick his ass. Hugs!!
from brightopal :
Wooohoo! I hope things follow a good progression with Jag man. He sounds intriguing, if for no other reason than that you've caught his eye. Just be careful. There are other things at work, too. *Hugs*
from boxx9000 :
BOXX HAS MOVED DIARIES. YOU CAN FIND ME AT: http://boxx9000.wordpress.com/
from awittykitty :
Your trek south sounded well worth it and I think I actually felt that wave of good karma all the way over here! I was thinking about your trip this last week and how you were doing.
from catsoul :
So glad you and your mom had such an awesome time at the karma event. You are such an inspiration to me! Thank you for all your positive thoughts and I just want to say I wear your karma bracelet everyday. =^..^=
from coldandgray :
Don't get angry no matter what? But they make it so hard!
from chaosdaily :
thank you for the bracelets! definitely, call security next time there are people like that in the store. you never know what they might do. and bravo for keeping your cool!
from awittykitty :
I worry about you. People hitting people with carts and them bleeding. People yelling and acting intimidating to you. Stay safe...okay?
from boxx9000 :
(((hugs))) Hope you feel better soon. Dave would hire you in a second for LOWE'S!!!!!
from acaldwell :
i hope you get well soon!! drink lotsa orange juice!!! yum!! rest easy too!! man, thats a crazy place you work in!!
from brightopal :
I'm sorry you encountered so much negativity, but am very glad that you were more or less forewarned. (By the way, in another life I was radiogurl, just so you don't wonder about the name out of nowhere ;)) Take care and don't let the Wal-Mxxx virus spread. It might have been a good idea once, but that place might do what Communism couldn't: bring this country to its proverbial knees :(
from ms-do :
Happy Belated Easter and sending good Karma your way missy.
from awittykitty :
I always figured if Friday the 13th supposedly meant Bad Luck for others it meant Good Luck for me. So I'll send some Good Luck Mojo over your way.
from catsoul :
Hey there Woman, don't get too bent over the coincidence of the dates, a number is just a number, isn't it? Though I agree, what are the statistics, of the occurence of numbers being placed as such. Gosh that sounds way to scientific for so early in the morning. I say go with your feelings, and I am seeing tons of good karma your way. Have a Happy Hoppy Bunny Hop Easter!! =^..^=
from ms-do :
Thanks for remembering my birthday Bebe. thank you again.
from boxx9000 :
It's official.....I'm a 6th grade teacher for next year! WheEeee!
from boxx9000 :
the karma email link is not working for me. Can you send me your email addy to [email protected] and I'll be able to send you my snail mail addy. THANKS!
from radiogurl :
Another instance of karma coming around to bite you in the butt, lol. I'm sorry the young man was caught, because two bad things don't make good; but neither can I claim surprise, because sooner or later everything catches up with you.
from awittykitty :
"Bad boys, bad boys, watcha gonna do when they come for you..."(just singing the theme from the show "COPS"). Glad they caught at least one of the brazen bad boys.
from radiogurl :
It has definitely been one of "those" days, all day, apparently worldwide. Hopefully things will calm during the next few days.
from awittykitty :
A pair of jeans for $6? I'm living on the wrong coast! Will also put in good thoughts for your gay friend and that horrible deployment talk.
from acaldwell :
wheres your store security?? how come the cashier kids aint trained to detect phoney money? perhaps if you gave manager kharma beads, manager will calm down!
from boxx9000 :
i want karma beads!
from stepfordme :
Good gawd! I cant beleive they didnt even come out to LOOK at the merchandise first knowing who it was to begin with. See my menopausal self woulda went OFF on them, teehee.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* I can certainly understand your frustration. Even knowing that everything happens for a reason, it's difficult while you're going through "everything!" I also understand about still having the karma bracelets in your purse. My gift to you is still sitting on top of my printer...
from awittykitty :
Being sneaky is so evil, but I suppose crackheads need a break too. I just wonder how their kids felt when they took their playstation away from them for a fix. Talk about bad karma. But you are there for a reason, Fairygodmum. Probably as a Beacon of Goodness in a storm of Big Retail Evilness.
from chaosdaily :
i agree with you, you are at that store for a reason.... no one knows just what that reason is yet.. im sure some day you will know.
from ms-do :
yeah same as what BoXX said ♥ happy valentine's day darling girl ♥
from boxx9000 :
♥ HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ♥
from acaldwell :
howdee!!! i again wanna thank you for the good karma beads and the special giftie from Big Retailer!! your contribution to the cause is well appreciated!! and yes, it is quite easier to ask for money rather than steal it! i am surprised that Big Retailer didnt prosecute her! what was she thinking? sheesh!!
from radiogurl :
I got my karma beads! They're BEAUTIFUL! *Humongous hugs* Thank you! And I realized in reading your entry that I should have included you on my email list - will send you details after I've slept enough to feel human again.
from catsoul :
I loved reading about what you are doing for others and passing on good Karma to them. When a person does something for someone because they trully want to, and to see the joy it brings, that is what makes me happy and it sounds like it does for you! Anyhoo, I just want to say I love the energy I read in your words. =^..^=
from radiogurl :
I still have what I made for you. I just realized I needed to add something to it, which I will hopefully pick up tomorrow so I can actually mail out to you! *Hugs*
from awittykitty :
Oh so the people who are annoying who waddle into your space are the people with bad karma? Now I get it. Okay, so I'll TRY to be a little more understanding, Fairy God Mum, says witty making a skwinky face and gritting her teeth!
from radiogurl :
I'm sorry to hear about all the grief with the cash shortages, though at least for part of them, you had a valid explanation. *Hugs* I hope things calm down a bit now that all the craziness has zipped through your life!
from awittykitty :
When I worked in retail I was always glad there was a counter between me and the yelling customer. Congrats on your ordination. You rock!
from sasori-gal :
Congratulations! I am so proud of you! *hugs*
from acaldwell :
aw no worries fairy god mum!!!! i will get the box when it comes, and thank you!!! wheeeee!!! hugs and lub!!
from radiogurl :
I still have your gift in my purse. I went into town today but forgot to buy a padded envelope to send it to you. I will try to get it mailed out tomorrow, barring catastrophe!
from radiogurl :
Aha - NOW I understand why the SASE, lol. I'll do that at the same time ;)
from chaosdaily :
what's your email??
from acaldwell :
checka you mail :-) did i menttion congrats on the ordination? good times!!
from radiogurl :
Congratulations on becoming ordained. That's wonderful! And I won't ask for karma beads, but maybe I'll send you a small gift to let you know how much all of your generosity is appreciated *hugs*
from yarnsmith :
Glad to see you back. Contgrats on the promotion to Manager. You would not have the job if you didn't deserve it. Also congratulations on your ordination. Can't wait to hear about Japan
from starhearts :
HEY ! Welcome back and a huge congrads on your ordination!!! THAT IS EXCITING! :) As for the work stuff it is a good thing you are a tough cookie and good at what you do!!! I am sure there are a few other retailers who might appreciate that also....funny thing how that works when you reach management level and then all of a sudden other retailers see that on your resume and think..oh we might benefit from having her work for us instead :) (small hint for the future of course :) ANYWAYS GLAD YOU ARE BACK!!! C.
from acaldwell :
what do you mean, you had to take a test to determine if you are to be terminated? what kind of whack job discrimination ploy is that? i say you have a good basis for a lawsuit here, bebe!! talk to an employment lawyer and the labour commission. i bet they would love to hear all about this "test"!! i sent you an email at your request before xmas, and never got a response back! did ya get the email?
from sasori-gal :
With moving and all, I've been disconnected! I've just got back online. If you are here, my # is 055-952-0097. You can leave a message if I'm not home. I know you might be in the temple and unable to call or even get this note, but I thought I'd give it a quick try! Enjoy your stay!
from radiogurl :
Wow - you've done some pretty amazing things! I love reading these lists. People invariably surprise me with what they've done - and with what they *haven't* done, sometimes.
from starhearts :
Thanksgiving with family sounded like alot of fun :) I enjoyed the stories and glad you will be out of the big store and on a flight to Japan (HOW EXCITING!!) Learn lots and thinking of you in my prayers :) When will you be back though???? Hugs! C.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* I'm sorry you had such a challenging day. But hang on; you never know when it's an angel you're helping. As to your horoscope, MC is also a Cancer and I'm unquestionably up against a rough spot - but definitely NOT trying to keep him out of the loop. I have tried to never do that to him, and don't intend to start now.
from awittykitty :
Retail work is notorious for making you feel like next to nothing, my dear. I'd like to see them run a store without us. I think you did a great thing looking after the lost people. Hope the little girl was okay. Rock on, sister.
from yarnsmith :
27 years ago, hubby and I, newly married, had dinner at the Golden Nugget and drank too much wine. We then walked all the way from downtown, 7 miles to the strip stopping in every liquor store and seedy dirty bookstore along the way. 9 months later my daughter was born. It was scary but we were too drunk to care.
from yarnsmith :
I havn't been downtown Las Vegas in 27 years. My daughter was conceived there. Is that some kind of dome they put over the street? Enjoyed your recount of your trip and the pics.
from acaldwell :
im glad you enjoyed your visit to vegas. as far as im concerned, steve winn and his new corporate money ruined vegas. i miss the old vegas.
from radiogurl :
Could be - email me at [email protected] and I'll send you a pic or two. :)
from radiogurl :
Glad you made it back alive from Vegas. I just got the word tonight that my sis was in Vegas over the weekend, too - and came back a married woman, lol.
from radiogurl :
It sounds like you had a pretty remarkable Halloween - mine was mostly work, but one of my co-workers did come in dressed as Cap'n Jack Sparrow from Pirates. And she looked PERFECT, right down to the glued-on beaded goatee!
from sasori-gal :
YES! YES! YES! This time around, we WILL touch bases. Please e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll give you my contact information. By the time you get here, my moving should be done and I will be freeeeeeeee! *yippee*
from starhearts :
Ok I put in a request to d-land to have my notes turned on by them as the notes in the help said that I would need to do that as I can't fix it myself. Should be up and running soon and THANKS FOR TELLING ME :) C.
from starhearts :
AH The HUNK is staying...it is always nice to have something pretty to look at! :) and he sounds nice too :) Thanks for the note about my notes..I can't get it to turn on. The notes setting says it is on and I looked at the html line and I think it is ok..I think...um...now what do I do to fix it????? Ah challenges....oh dear LOL Have a GREAT DAY!
from radiogurl :
Glad to hear the hunk is staying, if that's what's best for all concerned. I hope he is able to maintain the positive atmosphere. It's tough to do in any big business.
from awittykitty :
wow, you live in Pacifica and work on Skyline Blvd.?? That is a looong haul. Glad your eye candy decided to stay. Gay Boys are so much fun to be around. YAY!
from starhearts :
How old did you say you are? LOL I know this kinda cute guy who is very sensitive and happens to be looking :) (only wish I was single as he really is sweet..oh and Canadian :)
from radiogurl :
Awww - well, you never know. Cutie Pie might just GET you that job you were talking about. ;)
from starhearts :
Sorry to see your cute new friend exiting so soon! Good friends are hard to come by and he sounded like a genuinely "nice guy"...boy we could all use a few more of those in our lives!!! As for sending a cute guy..would you mind a Canadian accent? LOL C.
from acaldwell :
awwwww, sorry you are losing ya cutie pie....
from radiogurl :
Ack... People don't realize that theft condemns you to a life of want :( I hope that the kids who tried to shoplift the makeup get the message before it's too late *sigh* Glad to hear, though, that your mom's b-day was fun for all. And I don't know about her, but I personally would MUCH prefer a flat-screen TV to a diamond!
from awittykitty :
Yeah, I don't understand retail scheduling. Late night then early the next morning. Don't they expect you to have a life? I haven't seen anyone steal anything yet (except snacks in bulk food). I think stealing is so cowardly. Hey. I remember the Tonga Room! Although I used to go to the Venetian Room all the time to see shows when I lived there. Nice place.
from acaldwell :
man, i hate a thief!! sheesh!!!
from radiogurl :
I'm glad to hear you're finding something to enjoy about your job. There are lessons everywhere and there is joy everywhere if you take the time to look. You are a wonderful inspiration to me. -- I don't know if I ever offered a wish to you, but if not, I wish for peace and healing for cunhell (http://cunhell.diaryland.com.) She's going through a major health crisis and is beating herself up because someone else hurt her.
from yarnsmith :
Need a foot massage? If you find a good Masseuse let me know. When I see a homeless person I say "there for the Grace of God go I" and I thank heaven for my job (I really have to try hard to do that though)
from awittykitty :
I do hearby bequeath a foot massage for both of us from the foot massage fairy. Heh. I'm actually getting a massage today. I won it in a contest. But you're right. Trying to extract some form of self satisfaction out of a job isn't always easy. But its good you aren't taking any guff. You go girl!
from acaldwell :
ive only had one cuppa coffee so far just worke up, so let me see if i can explain what i wanna say, and make sense. me and doyle are nice guys too. but, down at the rio grande, and because of all the transients we have to deal with, we have to show each and every one of them when we 1st encounter them, that we aint gonna take no shit from them. and believe me they try to pull it. like lil childrens, they try to see what they can get away with. the philosophy here is, that you cannot show weakness, if ya do, they will run ramshod over you. once the people show that they wont play games, and are honest, then your attitude towards them can ease up. dont get me wrong, we are compassionate towards the people who are slow, and can easily be taken advantage of, and we get a lot of those folks, and we do our best to protect them and when we find that others try to take advantage, then we lower the boom on them, and out they go. we deal alot with homeless/mentally ill people, trying to provide suitable housing solutions for them, and some of them belong in assisted living facilities, but for some reason or other, they end up with us. like doyle sez, treat everyone the same, until they prove to you otherwise. when doyle 1st took over the hotel about 3 years ago, there were crackheads living there, openly selling and using that junk. then I got there and doyle needed a security guard, and then we started cleaning up the place, evicting those who were using, and letting the street people know that we wont tolerate anyone hanging out in front, doing shit in the doorways, and whatnot. then the word finally got out in the street that the hotel is not the place anymore. if we showed weakness toward them, the hotel would still be infested with vermin and scumbags. i feel a sense of accomplishment in that we have cleaned up the hotel, and made it suitable to live in, and safe for those whom cannot function well in society. when the time comes, and i take over management of the hotel, im sure word will get out that there is a new manager and i will be tested, but they will find out that i am just like doyle. after all, he trained me!! hahaa!!
from chaosdaily :
awww thanks! *blush*
from yarnsmith :
When I was single, I was always falling in love with the gay guys, something about them makes them much more fun to be around (and usually more hunky) than straight guys. I am currently searching for my long lost best freind from high school who is gay and living somewhere in San Francisco...maybe you know him?
from waverock :
Hi there, loved the new age, love and path, you talk about... I am new here, so trying to find my way around... will be back, and visit you again.
from radiogurl :
Gay men make absolutely wonderful friends - and you never know who they might meet who's straight and point 'em your way ;)
from ms-do :
Oh you little Fag Hag, so glad to hear things are working out Bebe. Hope to catch you online soon. xx C
from awittykitty :
My very best friend for the last 35 years is a gay man. He is the most thoughtful, nice, GOOD-LOOKING person I've ever known. I think gay men are great friends. Glad you found a nice friend. And a car! Absolutely necessary in the Bay Area! Yay for you!
from coldandgray :
I am glad to hear your nephew is doing better and that he has you for company & to bring him some real FOOD!
from starhearts :
This entry really made me smile and is one of the best for smiling on d-land that i have read as of late. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your new friend and co-worker. My goodness it is not a bad thing to have your eyes enjoying a beautiful person. I am sure he would be very humbled if he only knew :) C.
from radiogurl :
Awww - I'm sorry to hear about your nephew and hope he recovers quickly and that the circumstances resolve themselves in the best way for all concerned. *Hugs*
from starhearts :
Hey just saw your cool banner and thought a fairygod mom would be a ok to have in life :) Wishes of good thoughts and all the best at yoru new job!! Congrads!!!!
from radiogurl :
I know Big Retailer isn't your idea of a great job. But it's A job, and it's yours ;) As for Steve Irwin, he's taken another step in his journey, but he will be missed here in this life plane
from awittykitty :
Just whipping through some diaries and saw your lovely picture of Sausalito. I grew up in San Rafael, but now live in New York state. I really miss the Bay and Mt. Tam. I once was a movie extra in a movie filmed in Sausalito called "The Serial" about wonderful Marin. Anyways, good karma to you fairygodmum.
from radiogurl :
As terrible as that broad-reaching crash was, and as much as I grieve for its victims, I'm glad to hear that you were not involved in it. *Hugs* Stay safe.
from coldandgray :
HOW HORRIFYING! I had not heard about this. I have a lot of friends and family in the area & find that so scary. Glad you are OK.
from radiogurl :
It sounds like an absolutely lovely night out, despite the fire truck incident... I'm sorry that the Retailer is paying so little but it is employment, which always looks better on future resumes than nothing ;)
from h2ophobic :
Thanks for your note. I'm always up for new friends. Thanks!
from radiogurl :
I hope you get a reliable vehicle - but it sounds like even an older vehicle with that many miles is a steal for $650 or thereabouts. I wish you all the best and hope you're able to get to Japan on schedule!
from coldandgray :
good luck with the car & swinging the big bucks.
from sasori-gal :
Keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for you, and OF COURSE, I will be anxiously awaiting your arrival here in Japan! *thinkin' positive!*
from radiogurl :
Remember - this job is not a destination - it is a bridge you're required to walk to get where you need to be *Hugs*
from chaosdaily :
honey there are crazy people everywhere! and im glad your fist only hit her in your mind, because you never know what a crazy person will do or how they will react.
from yarnsmith :
What a lovely posting...Good luck with the job. Just this morning, I prayed to be reminded that I must live in the world but I don't have to be of it. I don't have to get bogged down by the "stuff" or the lack there of. Thank you for reminding me of lifes real blessings.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* You will be fine. This job isn't a destination; it's a bridge. Just remember that your life is a journey. You may cross many bridges and walk many a solitary road before reaching your abode.
from radiogurl :
*Hands on hips* Now where did that negativity come from? Do you not trust the universe to provide exactly as you are meant to have? If you expect poor treatment, you'll get poor treatment. Your better mantra is, "This is a door opening to a new world of opportunity!"
from radiogurl :
It sounds like you had an extraordinary day. I hope that it spurred you on, pressing you closer to your spiritual destiny :)
from coldandgray :
That sounds like a Goood Time, glad you had fun. Fingers crossed on the job front.
from poolagirl :
Wishing you tons of good luck with your job. You deserve a great paycheck!
from radiogurl :
I wish you all the luck in the world! *Hugs* Just remember, everything happens as it is meant to happen. If this job doesn't happen, for any reason, it's an impediment to your destiny and another door will open in its stead. :)
from coldandgray :
That is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to hear all about it.
from radiogurl :
Welcome back! I hope you have a blast at your reunion. You deserve all the fun you can get :D
from sasori-gal :
Welcome back and I can't wait until your next journey over here. We must somehow manage to get together then. I trust you had a very enlightening experience and I really would like to hook up next time around! *hugs* (And by the way, thanks for the nice hugs and links in your previous entry. With my internet out of whack, I didn't even get to read diaries which was like taking away my daily fix!!!)
from radiogurl :
Welcome back! *Hugs* I'm so glad to hear that your trip to Japan went well, and meeting a gentleman was the icing on the cake! (And about time, too. You've been generous with everyone else; karma owed you.) I wish you all of the very best things, FairyGodMum. You deserve them.
from poolagirl :
Welcome back - and Happy Birthday!
from acaldwell :
welcome back!!!!
from nicim :
note from Arc-Angel666 in my diary. Wanted you to know. XXOO N
from poolagirl :
Have a great time! Take tons o' pictures for us!
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* to you! What a wonderful opportunity! I hope you enjoy your trip and return safely and with LOTS of photos to document your journey. Something tells me it will be an extraordinary experience for you.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* I'm sooooo glad to hear that your show was a success! I hope you have many, many more such successes to report in the future. :D
from sasori-gal :
Happy Diaryland Anniversary! You are so right...it is amazing how we can connect with people merely by sharing our lives here in Diaryland. You are truly a fairygodmum in my books! *hugs*
from radiogurl :
I'm glad to hear that Mother's Day went well - and forget the guys who have an issue just because you're big. There are men out there who have other priorities. THEY are the keepers, not some yutz who can't see past the pounds. For that matter, I've seen your picture. You're NOT exactly Matilda the Hun. You're an absolutely gorgeous lady!
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* I don't recall if I have ever asked you to grant a wish or not, but if not, I wish that you would find your peace of mind again. I agree that the resurfacing of memories now are for a reason; but I also don't believe they're meant to drive you away from peace and internal security. Perhaps you will be asked to counsel someone in a similar position of victimization. Perhaps it is a lesson in forgiveness of whoever did this. Whatever the reason, open to the lesson - not to the fear. *Another, reassuring hug for good measure*
from ms-do :
Bebe, gosh not sure what to say here, but i agree these memories are coming out now for a reason. Your in my prayers....lots of love...Do!
from coldandgray :
You are finally able to remember and you may remember more & more, including who did this reprehensible thing. I am so sorry, I just cannot even imagine. Focus on your new spiritual strength. Please talk with someone about this, a counselor may be a big help to you. My heart & hugs go out to you.
from poolagirl :
I don't know what to say about the memories you are having about being molested as an infant. That is the most horrifying thing that can happen to a child. You are beginning to remember for a reason - a reason that is not clear at this time. Peace and blessings, my dear. I am thinking of you.
from boxx9000 :
5-8-06 I talked to my son today and he says that both him and his girlfriend will go to your show with me on May 2oth in SF. WheeeEEe! I'll be wearing a name tag that says BoXx. I'll look for you and introduce myself. GOOD LUCK.
from sasori-gal :
Thanks for your nice note! Omigosh...if you make it over here, PLEASE let me know! How often does one get to meet thee fairygodmum?! I would love to try and hook up even if it's just at the airport! But I don't think Tachikawa is too far away from me so by all means, keep me posted! *hugs*
from boxx9000 :
I am going to try and make it to your show.
from radiogurl :
Woohoo! Your show sounds terrific! I got your email, too - wish I were closer, I would definitely be there, and MC too :)
from chaosdaily :
what an honor to be allowed to attend and meditate! wow im in awe!
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* What an extraordinary meditation! I'm so glad you had an opportunity to see the Dalai Lama while he was in the country. Another friend of mine had the privilege of speaking to him twice. She said he's an amazing individual and that he fairly radiates peace and calm. :)
from boxx9000 :
I'll send you mypassword, but to where? email me. [email protected]
from acaldwell :
wow!! that was a powerful meditation!!! yay!!
from yarnsmith :
Happy Easter and congrats on the end of school.
from radiogurl :
You're a fortunate lady to have such a positive relationship with your mother, and to have the opportunity to record her voice. I have less than stellar memories of my mom, but the one thing I DO wish I had is a recording of her voice.
from acaldwell :
aw, i wanted to be interviewed!! rats the size of cats!! dang!!
from radiogurl :
I see that art came out as your strongest area; the math isn't necessarily of the add-and-subtract sort. You use mathematics, such as proportions and shapes, when you paint, when you dance, in your music. It's not all formulaic, but it does follow symmetry and pattern :)
from poolagirl :
Hah! Let's go be chemists together! On second thought......
from radiogurl :
Awww, that explains it! I've always been attracted to Cancers, both friends and romances. MC is a Cancer. *Hugs* You're a lovely, talented, warm lady - now I understand!
from boxx9000 :
do you have my password? email me, I'll send it to you. [email protected]
from boxx9000 :
I was Deanna Troi, too. (hehehehehe) I love, love, love your photos. Congratulations on your art exhibit.
from radiogurl :
What gorgeous photos! I always love seeing my Diaryland buddies, even if it's long-distance. How did the art show go???
from acaldwell :
congrats, and welcome back!! i missed ya!! i hope you get top dollar for all your artwork!! great pics, too!!! yay!!!
from radiogurl :
Congratulations on the art exhibition! *Hugs* I wish you all the best and hope to see your paintings snapped up at top prices with demand for more :D
from boxx9000 :
Where? where? where? in SF. I'd love to go see your art.
from sasori-gal :
Congratulations on your exhibition! Wish I could be there. You know how proud we all are of you. Enjoy! *hugs*
from coldandgray :
missed you
from yarnsmith :
Good luck teaching the teachers and keeping yourself in balance.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* This is for your edification and for your wallet - as frustrating as it is, everything happens for a reason. Let the grief and frustration slough away and you'll get to the nugget of your lesson so that you can move ahead. It took me several years to reach that point, but once I took a single step past the pain and frustration, it initiated a whirlwind that is still carrying me forward in positive ways. I believe that the same holds true for you!
from yarnsmith :
Glad you had a great holiday. I too am turning 50 this year and I too am vowing a make over including massive weight loss. We'll see how bad I want it. A good employed man is hard to find...go for it.
from sasori-gal :
Happy New Year! I'll be waiting for you to visit here in Japan. Whether you come alone or with that new boyfriend, I would love to meet up with you! Here's to all your wishes coming true in 2006! *hugs*
from yarnsmith :
Happy New Year!!!
from boxx9000 :
MERRY DECEMBER 25th 2005!!!!! Love, BoXx
from boxx9000 :
Is it *possible* that my Ex brings me bad karma? Everytime he is around the crap seems to follow.
from radiogurl :
Your entries are invariably uplifting, even when you're down. What a precious gift to give! I am still sending positive thoughts your way - and if you'll email me with a snail mail addy (mail me at [email protected]) I'll send you a Christmas card, too. ;)
from radiogurl :
Aww... thank you for the sweet note *hugs* As you have probably realized by now, I love making people laugh. Hearing that it works is just the icing on the cake ;)
from boxx9000 :
How goes Christmas time in the city? Is SF all decked out for the holiday shoppers? I always try to make at least one trip down to SF during the holidays. Typical tourist I am. I love the sparkly lights!
from sasori-gal :
Happy Bodhi Day! omigosh...this is the first time someone I know remembers this enlightment day of Buddha! Thinking of you with love and good wishes...*hugs*
from acaldwell :
woah there fairy god mum! Elvis Did Not Imitate Blacks, he did get his inspiration from black rythym and blues, and a lot of his early songs, thats all right, mama; old shep, mystery train; are old rythym & blues songs that he sang, and sam phillips was looking for a white man that sounded black, and so thats how Elvis got his start. ♥
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* If I could still have a wish... I wish you a wonderful Christmas and that you are able to 1) get some rest and 2) receive a financial windfall!
from radiogurl :
I never thought of that, but you're right; all it takes to have a nice holiday is to invite a stranger - then everyone behaves, LOL! Darn... wish I'd thought of that when I was younger...
from acaldwell :
ty for the BIG shout out!! your pics were funny!
from radiogurl :
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and a peaceful start to the weekend!
from yarnsmith :
Little fat green phlegm monsters having sex in your lungs...EWEEEE!!!. Seriously...hope you feel better soon. Hope your are well enough to enjoy the Thanksgiving bounty.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* I would come help you but I'm going to be driving on Thanksgiving Day... And at Poolagirl's that night. Kind of too late to be much help. :( I hope you feel better soon!!!
from acaldwell :
if i didnt havta work thanksgiving, i'd come over and do dishes!! yum!!! lissen up now, Dr. Killpatient here!! drink down one gallon of orange juice, the real stuff, not the concentrated crap. breathe. drink down one 1/2 gallon ocean spray cranberry juice. make sure its ocean spray, not some imitation brand. take 2 anacin and eat a white meat turkey sammich with cheese and mayo. then goto sleep. you will feel better when u wake up!
from yarnsmith :
A geriatric trip to Vegas? God bless you. I am turning my home into Geriatric central when Mom in law moves in Tuesday. Bars on the bathtub...little seat for the shower...extra handrails on the staircase....extra heaters in the back bedroom. Lord, I don't want to get old...then again..I do want to get old...just not crippled old.
from sasori-gal :
Welcome back from your trip. I suppose it's thanks to you that my little bro gets his income?? We'll probably head over to visit him there when I come home in December. And like you, we seem to always leave more there than we come home with. Who knows...maybe both of us will get really lucky someday and surprise everyone!? Thanks for your messages. It's always a pleasure to hear from you! *hugs*
from acaldwell :
ah! vegas! i used to live downtown there! at that seedy looking hotel you seen out there on the corner! heheheee!! just kidding!! i miss the OLD vegas actually!!
from boxx9000 :
What class was this? What did your professor say? That all seems so crazy. What a nightmare! (((((hugs))))) *I* want to see you sing and dance. Just tell me where and when and I will be there.
from chaosdaily :
lots and lots of good wishes and hugs. the paintings were great! and i believe you're right, its jealousy that causes a lot of the hurtful comments. dont let em get ya down, theres a critic everywhere!
from hissandtell :
You paintings are wonderful, darling - Beautiful Music especially grabbed me hard. I'm sending you lots of good wishes and fond thoughts, doll. Love, R xxx
from radiogurl :
Oh my - your paintings are lovely! I love the use of color and the implied movement - very modernistic but with some distinctly traditional roots. What medium do you use?
from radiogurl :
As difficult as it is, you are right to ignore the people whose aim is to hurt you. There is no revenge as sweet as kindness, in fact - something some folk never discover. When you respond with courtesy and kindness to cruelty and hate, you can look at yourself in the mirror and know that you did all that you can - and those who have slighted you will discover that their behavior is reflected back on them as though you WERE a mirror.
from chaosdaily :
i told everyone i knew i was quitting on my bday, so i kind of had to, to save face. quitting made me pretty sick, so it was a couple months until i was able to smoke, and then i was over the worst of it. the things in front of that case are sprinkles for cookies and cakes, and sanding sugars... we sell quite a few, because we have the biggest variety!
from radiogurl :
Nice to meet you, Big Bird, LOL!
from radiogurl :
Awww congratulations on the win! About TIME your kindnesses start coming back to you *Hugs*
from chaosdaily :
its always better the leave the track or casino with more money than you came with!! wooooo hoooo
from acaldwell :
i am happy that you have a good relationship with ya dad!! that is super!!! congrats on the winnings!!! FREE FOOD!!!! yay!!! specially free fried chicken!!! i do my best eating when the food is free!!!
from boxx9000 :
((((hugs)))) Your family story made me giggle. I think all families must have that drama stuff going on. hehehehehe. I miss my Dad, my Mom was controlling, my sister is self absorbed and my brothers are drug addicts. My inlaws don't speak to me. I like the *idea* of family, but in reality, it is less stress NOT having any family.
from yarnsmith :
Hope your Dad makes a full recovery...cancer sucks. Family drama is always so much fun...I have my share of it too. Your Mom sounds like my Mom, but my Mom is no longer here. Good luck and have fun with your Dad.
from radiogurl :
THANK YOU for the link!!! It is really a nice change. *Hugs* I hope that your family finds ways to make peace - carrying grudges hurts everyone, especially the person with the grudge :(
from acaldwell :
oh fairygodmum, i hope your dad recovers from the prostrate cancer!!! big hugs to you!! and him!!!
from radiogurl :
Yep, I use Firefox (Mozilla) and can never see your links :( I have my own notes page bookmarked and just overtype my name with yours to get to this page.
from radiogurl :
Your essay on friendship is lovely, but you forgot one sweet detail: true friends make you feel better about yourself. If someone makes you feel worse about yourself, they're probably not a friend.
from acaldwell :
the friends piece is so true!! me, myself, i only have just a few true friends!
from beltwaybelle :
Why, thank you for the birthday wishes! :-)
from life-my-way :
Fairygodmum, I'm thrilled to be added to your buddy list! I love your diary and will be adding you to mine at once. I'd love one of your wishes, I'm thinking on it now. It'll be something on the order of wishing to play my part, honor my contract, fulfill my destiny, be an instrument...that sort of thing. Thanks for the note, it's great to meet you!
from radiogurl :
Your photos are gorgeous - love the color and the tiny glimpse of scenery in the frame. Your words make perfect sense - though I suggest a nice long sleep now, lol.
from arc-angel666 :
Is everyone in your family beautiful? Your Mom at 80 gets an incredible reading on the babe meter,Geesh! And YOU, You have to be the Prettiest Nun I have ever seen in my Life! Okay I'm going to leave now, I suppose its not good Karma to think about Nuns that way :-)
from radiogurl :
Beautiful pictures, but so sad that we still use words to wound and kill the spirit, when we could just as easily take a moment to lift someone up. You are a warm, gorgeous lady, inside and out, as is your mother. It's wonderful that she's lived to be such a vibrant 80. *Hugs*
from poolagirl :
Holy cripes! Your mom is EIGHTY?????? She is an absolute knock-out, and it looks like you got the same coding!
from boxx9000 :
I loved all the SF pics. Congratulations to your Mom on her 80th BD. Sunflowers are my favorites.
from coldandgray :
Yoga & Racism, I love what you have to say.
from radiogurl :
I don't know if it is entirely possible to be color blind and don't necessarily want to be. I celebrate the diversity of friends and family. Differences enrich us. Imagine painting with nothing but one color. Imagine a symphony with only one note. Imagine eating only one food for the rest of your life. Variety truly is the spice of life!
from yarnsmith :
I asked my doctor once why I hurt myself doing conventional excercise but never did dancing and why I couldn't walk down the block without huffing and puffing but could dance for hours at a wedding? He said because dance is natural and comes from within us. It is a natural movement and motion that comes from the deepest part of our being. That answer made sense. My daughter has been taking dance lessons and dancing on an almost daily basis since 8 years old. She gets depressed if she can't dance. Here's to you and your half century (me too) and to quote a really great song..."I Hope You Dance".
from radiogurl :
*hugs* I am a terrible dancer - I sort of shuffle around but have no rhythm and am too fat now anyway, lol. It's still fun to pretend I know what I'm doing LOL.
from radiogurl :
I can relate to posting without really knowing what you're going to talk about. I start that way about half the time when I post, lol.
from arc-angel666 :
Thanks Fairy-God-Mum, I do appreciate your prayers and actually need them :-) You know your my favorite Nun, possibly due in part your the only Nun who hasn't pinch and drug me by the Ear, smacked me on the head with a ruler or hit me with a left Hook lol. The Sisters of Saint Joseph were brutal lol. The Karma thing is what it is, I am sure I made my own. Regardless of the situation (the Army) or causes one might believe in, I have a feeling there is a price one pays for taking the life of others. I am hoping before I leave this Plane my debt is paid in Full.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* Thank you - I certainly feel like an ancient spirit. I would love to talk to you in more depth. You are such a fascinating, extraordinary lady!
from radiogurl :
Aww - how extraordinary that your parents are still alive and up to a party. It's too bad about the show-off, but look at it this way: you got to 1) see folks you probably wouldn't have otherwise seen and 2) recognize the insecurity behind the Look-At-Me girl. I hope she got her reassurances and can now move on to being a better person.
from nicim :
Agree with radiogurl!! I'm 55 with only a high school education - what you've accomplished is nothing short of wondrous!! A big YES to a big - and you can do my spiritual consultation any time!! XXOO N
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* Hey I'm going to be 48 in a couple of months and don't even have an ASSOCIATE'S degree. So the snobby set can keep snubbing to their heart's content. You have already accomplished a great deal and NO ONE can take it away from you! I love your proposal for a book - I'll bet it's a bestseller :)
from poolagirl :
You're so funny! It's not a rat eating pie, it's a beautiful embroidered rendition of a tall ship an the words "HMS Pie-Rat" embroidered next to it. HMS Pie-Rat is the name of my journal. Maybe I should do the rat eating pie for the next round! YAY!
from nicim :
we have some buddies in common and i came over from one of them. your entry on Faith was lovely. just what i needed today. XXOO N
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* Good advice. I hope to live by it - it simply may take me a while.
from radiogurl :
You're right. I have no issue with the people who have taken what they had to have to survive. I do take issue with those who have beaten, killed, raped and more. But the root problem is a government that sat in blas indifference for nearly a week while people existed in the most horrendous conditions, without food or water or any kind of sanitation.
from yarnsmith :
Congratulations on your Masters. What an accomplishment. Congratulations also on being able to turn your back on the material and face the spiritual. I have done that before and it is the path to happiness, unfortunately the material world always calls me back and I follow the call, only to find myself miserable again. Thank you for your post....it is a reminder at a time I really need it to look to the spiritual and the material is just stuff.
from boxx9000 :
Your diary really spoke DIRECTLY to me this morning. THANKS.
from chaosdaily :
like the michael jackson song, im starting with the man in the mirror..
from radiogurl :
There's a country song that really echoes your entry: "Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers." I look back now and think to myself of all that I would have missed had I moved back east. I wouldn't trade it for the world :)
from yarnsmith :
Good advice..I think I'll follow it..thanks a million
from radiogurl :
I for one am very glad you're living. *Hugs* You are such an extraordinary ray of light... I hope that you find the peace and love to sustain you and that in so doing, you continue to share it with the world. There are so few who take the time to give any more. They don't recognize that when you give to the world, without thought of recompense, you are truly giving yourself joy that cannot be attained any other way.
from ms-do :
you swallowed it? OMG i hope it has come out ok......smile
from wench77 :
hullo hullo! Thanks for adding me to your faves! Congrats on graduating! And I DID take sunscreen (popped a whole tenner on a big tube) but only put it on ONCE and even then I scarcely got a tan. No big sun for me this year but that's fine! Want a slightly used tube of 30 SPA sport lotion?
from ms-do :
WOW!!! Excellent, i knew you could do it....well done.....sorry i missed you on line last night........love Do!
from poolagirl :
Woooooooot and hoo-rah! *doing the happy dance* You go!
from sasori-gal :
*hooray* Congratulations! Perhaps the other night's events makes this success all the more sweeter! Celebrate and enjoy...you certainly deserve to!
from ms-do :
Big HUGS.....
from chaosdaily :
lots of hugs from me.... and it will get better!
from sasori-gal :
*big hugs* :)
from yarnsmith :
((((HUGS!!!!))))..So sorry you had a bad time of it. You have a right to be angry with those that didn't treat your show with the reverence it deserved and do their jobs to the best of their abilities. In your future when you produce shows professionally you will need to be on peoples arses and hold them responsible for what they do, so this show which is part of your education, gave you an education in how to handle people who need a shoe up their butt. It is all part of the learning curve and in hindsight you will see this as a wonderful learning experience. Now go Kick Arse tonight and show em what you can really do. Break a leg....more (((HUGS!!!)))
from wildrosie :
It's OK, I understand completely...like the time I forgot the words to the National Anthem when opening the Helldorado celebration last year. Nothing will make it feel better right now, but I will wager that while perhaps it wasn't what you hoped for, I doubt that things appeared to be that bad to those in the audience. Meanwhile darlin', here are some huge hugs and luv! ~Rosie~
from radiogurl :
Awww - I'm so sorry for the difficulties - hang in there. I added you to my Yahoo IM but have GOT to go to bed tonight. Hopefully we can catch up, maybe after tomorrow's show. *Hugs*
from radiogurl :
I've been wishing - and looks like so many of those wishes are beginning to come through. I wished your singer, drummer and other folk would do what they're supposed to do - and evidently they decided to do it! As for any personal wishes, I don't know if you're responsible but in the past three months I've had wishes fulfilled I didn't even know I wished. Sounds to me like you've been working overtime and it's YOUR turn!
from coldandgray :
Funny to think we cannot live without hot water heaters or refrigerators! Yes, break a leg!
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* Break a leg, fairygodmum - it's your turn to see things turn around now. Start looking for the first change - a small one - and expect lots more positive things to arc out from there. :)
from chaosdaily :
yea i would help if i lived closer.... im wishing for you~!
from wildrosie :
Darlin', if was there, I'd be happy to sing for you! But you know as well as I do that even if things don't work out as planned, no one in the audience is ever the wiser! Whatever you do, they will be delighted with it. Love and Hugs, ~Rosie~
from sasori-gal :
You've been so good about being my fairygodmum that now it's my turn to return the favor and grant you your wishes! The show will go on without any hitches or glitches and you and the show will shine, sparkle and radiate success! *touches you with magic wand* :)
from boxx9000 :
THANKS for your sweet note. I have been so worried about EVERYTHING having to do with this trip of mine. If you say the bird is good news than I can breathe at least a little sigh of relief. People say it's all superstitions, but I think there is a lot of truth in intuition. BEST OF LUCK with your show(s).
from yarnsmith :
Better to hold your tongue than to say anything. My motto is "keep my side of the street clean"..even though I don't always follow my motto. D land is a great place to vent isn't it? Also, the scenarios played out in ones mind are usually worse case scenarios and whatever the outcome, I am sure it won't be as you are anticipating. I think our minds do that on purpose so no matter what, the result is usually not as bad as we think it might be. At least you have plan B. Can't wait to hear how your show goes.
from radiogurl :
My friend, difficult as it is to walk the path you're walking now, to hold your head up and not snap back... you will be able to walk on with no regrets, without needing to look back and say, "I should have..." Better your path than this girl's. Whether you call it karma or reaping what you sow or whatever, everything comes back eventually, and when it returns, it's multiplied many times over. That includes your kindness and gentle spirit, and your willingness to make peace despite your frustration. *Hugs* Thank you for your sweet note - it seems you granted my wishes without virtue of my asking - or even knowing what to ask FOR. I only wish the same for you now!
from yarnsmith :
All, I can say is "OH MY". Maybe her son will learn a thing or two from you generously allowing him to continue in your show. Now, I have one more question and believe me, I am a deeply spiritual person...but what does one actually DO with an MA in women's spirituality?
from radiogurl :
Awww - I'm sorry this woman has elected to make your life crazy. I know you got upset - but sometimes that happens to all of us. It sounds like you were pushed too far, so don't beat yourself up over it. *Hug* Your show will be a success and from the sounds of things, probably better with her missing from the mix - you won't have her bad karma to jinx things.
from sasori-gal :
Thanks for your sweet note. Hmmm...your entry today makes me want to hurry and sign up at the local gym here! *hugs*
from ms-do :
Good Luck with the crush boy!!
from radiogurl :
Hey - must be going around! I wish you the best - break a leg on your show, and good vibes with the (maybe) new guy. If *I* can find someone (even though he technically found me, lol) then I know you can!
from yarnsmith :
Gay guys make the best friends and the best dance partners. I know a gal who married a gay guy and they are having a nice (albeit) celibate life together. I don't know why they married or if they are each getting some on the side but they each have the same lifes goals and interests and are the best couple I have every seen. They share everything.
from yarnsmith :
Good Luck with your show. I can't wait to hear more about it.
from yarnsmith :
There is nothing more fun than a family party when you have a lively fun loving family is there? Sound like you had a great weekend.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* Maybe we DO come from the same family, lol. I hope you are able to avoid inheriting roommates, though - that's not a good thing...
from ms-do :
Hey Bebe, we do have to chat over the net soon. Now that your working we are on different time zones. Things sound really good for you BEBE, hope they continue to get better. Happy Birthday Missy!!
from boxx9000 :
Happy belated birthday.
from wildrosie :
Expressing a wish to the universe is such a serious thing, isn't it? After all, one must be careful about what one wishes for, lest you receive it! I've found the safest wishes to be the ones asking my teachers to guide me on the correct paths, the ones that will ultimately teach me the lessons I need to grow. Then again, to grow, one must be pruned, and doggone it, that HURTS! Thank you for being there and reminding me of these things. ~Rosie~
from ms-do :
Congrats Bebe your on your way......smile
from radiogurl :
Wow - I'll say this for you; your life is never BORING!! ;) I hope that the job situation works out for you, and honestly hope you get some wheels soon. I know I was miserable when I didn't have a vehicle and just flat felt better once I was mobile again!
from chaosdaily :
gee i was wondering what happened to you!
from ms-do :
Bebe i got the package thankyou very much. Have packed it away until i get to the new house, this weekend. So much to do, i'm getting there. I didn't get that well paid job but i will get one.....smile. Yes i'm chanting. Lots of love Clare xxx
from radiogurl :
Ack... I hear you about married men. In my way of thinking, any married man who hits on you is pure slime...
from radiogurl :
I don't know why, but I only just saw your last note. Man... I must be exceptionally slow this week, lol. I am a hybrid, having lived both in the big city and in small towns. That's what I love about it here, though; it's got a lot of the amenities of a larger community but all the charms of a smaller one!
from yarnsmith :
I really love reading about your classes and your shows. Sounds like a much richer life than counting beans like I do. LOL! One of the real estate maximes is "locations, location, location." The 1890's Victorian that is millions in San Francisco is only 250,000.00 in Elgin, Illinois, complely restored and with a third story and Turret, however, a new roof on it will cost 50,0000.00. That same Victorian in other parts of Chicagoland would be 350,000.00 to 450,000.00.
from radiogurl :
You'll get the best of that DVD yet - but you have to treat it like a recalcitrant animal. Sneak up on it and slip a harness on it when it's not looking, lol. *Hugs* I hope it really does come together for you shortly. And yay for your dad providing those food cards. Even if you just bought groceries, you can still use the cards to stock up on staples - canned meats and veggies, things like that. Or hang onto them for the moments when you're in crisis and down to nothing in the house. I assume you have those days - God knows *I* do!
from ms-do :
Well i know why your a Dancer/Artist/Monk cause you oooze creativity Ms Bebe! Love C xxx
from radiogurl :
It sounds like your Memorial Day weekend will be fun for all concerned! You go, girl! :D I won't take off a holiday right now. I *will* be taking off Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, though. I am going to start working on a promotion and program now so when it rolls around, we'll have a nice day's programming for the holidays. :)
from sasori-gal :
omigosh~ your entry has made me nervous about what I'm going to find when I finally get around to those hidden areas! I am SO behind on my cleaning so I really must follow your good example and get down to it! *yikes*
from chaosdaily :
you might want to vacuum BEFORE you paint, so you dont end up with dust and stuff on your fresh paint. and i dotn have a junk drawer, the man forbids it. i just use the top of the fridge... hehehe then i dont have to dig for things, i can just look without touching.
from yarnsmith :
Wow....you sure got busy. You accomplished alot more in a day than we do. Hubby and I are like turtles. Don't you feel so much lighter now. I'll bet the neater, lighter cleaner feeling will show up in those paintings you need to do. Thank you so much for the wall paper advice. I am definitely going to take your advice IF we end up doing the wall paper. We had a new development yesterday that may allow me to sell the house AS IS and then I can walk away free.
from ms-do :
Clearing out the old making way for the new.....excellent....its coming....smile
from boxx9000 :
My son lives in SF on Irving Street. He is a student at The Academy of Art. He works at a bagel bakery. He's moving this month to a better neighborhood, closer to his school. I'd love to have lunch with you sometime when I am in SF. ~BoXx
from ms-do :
Oh Bebe Tyler, i'm sure you were better than you have given yourself credit for. A job is coming, hang in there. Lots of love Clare
from radiogurl :
*HUGE hugs* I'm so sorry about all of the disappointments. But things are still progressing and they WILL get better. Just hang onto your faith, difficult as it is. I'm trying to do the same, so maybe we can support each other!
from yarnsmith :
Families can be way to critical. They are looking at us with jaded eyes. I stopped long ago listening to what my family had to say on anything. It is the stranger who came to you after the show who had an honest unjaded opinion. Hang on that one.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* I'm so excited for you! I hope we get the full review of the show!
from yarnsmith :
Break a leg. Hope all goes well with your show and I can't wait to hear all about it on Sunday.
from ms-do :
Good luck gurl, I know you'll be great!!
from chaosdaily :
mum, email me your address and the next time i make cookies or candy i will send you a little care package. someones got to look out for our fairygodmum!
from ms-do :
Bebe, break a leg if i don't speak to you before the show, thanks for all the wishes. You will get a great job!
from boxx9000 :
What are your thoughts regarding Washington? What do you see? Congratulations with the end of the school year. What are your summer plans?
from yarnsmith :
I talk to myself too...it's healthy..really..it is.
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* Can I wish for your earache to improve? I'm excited for you - nearly finished with your MA! :D That's wonderful news. Here's hoping that good things come to you very, very soon.
from yarnsmith :
Wow...good luck with your show. I sure wish I could hop on out to SF to see it.
from radiogurl :
The song lyrics are wonderful, insightful - I can only imagine them blended with a melody! And I hope that your singer friend is okay, too. :(
from yarnsmith :
Love your "Grammy's Song". I sure would love to see one of your shows..someday, I'm gonna head out your way. I have 3 online buddies in your area...one is a musician, wrote a musical and is trying to get it into production.
from ms-do :
Bebe, you'll do really well, i believe in you, break a leg gurl! Love Clare xxx
from coldandgray :
Don't forget to breathe, FGM
from orionreviews :
thank you for your compliment.
from hissandtell :
I'm sitting here with a huge smile trying to imagine The Ho Sho in all its colourful glory. Flying wig heads - hey, I'm going to copy that next chance I get! And of course I wish you all the luck in the world with your show - as soon as you get into it, it will all be FUN. (Won't it?) Love, R xxx
from sasori-gal :
Take a deep breath and I know things will go fine. I have total confidence in you, but I'm sending lots of lucky vibes out your way anyways! *hugs*
from radiogurl :
You'll do beautifully, blossoming onstage like a rose. The presentation is beautiful. You just need to recover your belief in yourself :D
from ms-do :
Too many ho's and hoing for me i lost it and the flow.....all hoing like box said is not about sex.....i called my son a download ho the other day after he told me he was downloading a movie and we only have 1 gig a month.....he of cause had no idea what i was saying....smile
from radiogurl :
I'm with Boxx - I think the parents who pimped their children to MJ should be locked up for pimping. But hey, what do I know? And I'm with you, the friend-ho's should make nice and share trade secrets, lol.
from yarnsmith :
Funny you should ask about how the house felt when I was in it. Old houses usually give me a creepy, haunted feeling but this one just felt cheery. My sister and daughter and nephew felt equally as cheery. It felt good.
from boxx9000 :
Not all ho-ing is about sex. We all *ho* ourselves daily in many areas of our lives, no? Do we do something purely because we enjoy it or for some other reward/pay/fee? On another note (re: pimps) I think the parents that let their children sleep with Michael Jackson were pimping their own kids!
from radiogurl :
I loved your romantic vignette. Very nicely done. :) But unfortunately the links to your notes and such have disappeared from your page!
from ms-do :
Gosh Bebe you sound so busy but you also sound like your emersed in what you love doing.......so happy for you!! love C xxx
from radiogurl :
Some of those performances sound wonderful - I would love to see them, but since that's out, I'm enjoying the experience vicariously through your words :D
from radiogurl :
You said the same thing that several people have, that I should charge an exhorbidant consultant's fee. I don't want that. My departure isn't about money or about gouging or taking revenge. It's about allowing me to finally live the life that's right for me instead of for someone else. My leaving is INTENDED to strand him, and to force him to acknowledge he is no longer able to operate his business. He needs to make peace with what's left of his family and to make peace with himself. As long as I continue to work for him - in any capacity - that won't happen. If that makes me selfish, so be it. I cannot deal with the man any further.
from radiogurl :
That's interesting. I hadn't heard that Christ traveled and studied abroad before assuming the ministry most Christians accept, but obviously he didn't make a leap from age 12 to age 30-33 without anything in between. I always gathered that he studied in the synagogues, but given that at age 12 he astounded learned men with his teachings, I can imagine him doing virtually anything that's good and right. :)
from yarnsmith :
My father was also Catholic and my Mother Methodist. I was raised Methodist, however, I have never been able to find the answers to my questions in a church, although I like to believe myself to have Christian roots. When born again Christians tell me that the only way to get to heaven is to be Christian, I think "now why would God send all the good spiritual people of the world to hell because they don't believe that Christ is the only son of God." As a matter of fact, if it was so important to believe that Christ was actually God, wouldn't God be a little more persuasive and not leave the answer up to people who can't agree on their own doctrine and beliefs, and a 2000 year old book that is open to all kind of interpretation? Also, if Jesus really did ascend to heaven "whole" and it is so important that we accept the Christian faith as the fundamentals would have you accept it...then why doesn't he fly back down here now and then and let us have a look at him. Honestly, I think there is much to be gained by researching other religions and not to take any of the religions of "men" to be the only and absolute. When I say I am Christian, it is that I am comfortable in the Christian tradition...the tradition of my heritage. I also believe that Christ was a unique spiritual being and at least A Son of God, if not THE son of God. Living according to the teachings of Jesus makes for a good life, therefore, I strive to live the way he would have me live. I really enjoyed your posting today.
from puddinggrl :
My question is how can you truly be all 3 of those religions you stated you were if they have different rules? I'm pretty sure in the Ten Commandments that you shouldn't worship false deities, so doesn't that contridict with Buddhism? I'm sorry my question was not phrased well or something....Well bye fairygodmum!
from fairygodmum :
I just found out that the Pope will be layed to rest on Friday April the 8th. The same day as the Buddha's Birthday!
from chaosdaily :
man, you are lucky he wasnt crazy enough to keep it up!!
from sasori-gal :
Did we go out with the same men?! *hugs*
from radiogurl :
Oh yeah... I remember those kinds. Fortunately they're not ALL like that. Unfortunately there are also women that bad. I don't know if it's justifiable to blame your kharma, though. Sometimes it's THEIR kharma. They're attracted to the person they want to be but can't yet attain. Just my two cent's worth.
from radiogurl :
After you've read, would you mind erasing that last entry from me? *Hugs* It sounds like you needed that hug as much or more than I did. I know how frustrating it is to feel like you're not being given any respect, particularly from a person in authority. Hopefully that situation improves for you very shortly.
from fairygodmum :
Perhaps it would be good to do more studying on this subject matter. Interesting that we find other cultures beliefs to be false, when there is only one humankind. Perhaps when we are able to come together and accept everyone as they are for what they believe in we can accept the truth. When you feel it is right, perhaps it is right for you. Keep positive everyone. Hugz, Bebe da FairyGodMum
from puddinggrl :
Ummm....if you're one religion that says you can't have any false idols then wouldn't that override the Buddhist religion?
from chaosdaily :
mum, im not locked... hehehe... as to that "feeling" in the temple? have you ever been to devils tower? its a holy place for american indians, and has a very strong.. umm.. aura about it, i wanted to pull up a chair and just sit and stare at the tower for hours and hours.... honestly, my husband had to drag me away from it. maybe it was magnetic.. lol
from fairygodmum :
Ok.. I'm feeling a little stressed right now. I can't get into anyone's diary. Not even RadioGurl... Would someone PLEASE email me their passwords or is this a LOCKOUT? [email protected]
from fairygodmum :
Is everyone going Private Diary? Where's Mom-on-a-Roof??? Please ohh Please send me a password.. PLUEEEAAZZZEEE.. That goes for Hilseymour, Boxx too! Waaaaaa
from radiogurl :
I'm glad that you were able to spend time with your dad and able to see this speaker. It sounds like it was definitely worth the trip :) I don't remember - did I email you the password for my diary yet?
from radiogurl :
How appropriate that his birthday was April Fools Day. I'm glad you got away without him destroying you. *Hugs* His loss, and how!
from randommuse :
Thank goodness that toxic person is out of your life...although, trying to picture the look on his face when he was on the hood of your car did make me laugh.
from chaosdaily :
mum, i am sure glad that fool is gone out of your life... cause he was a fool to ever treat you that way.
from fairygodmum :
This message is for Krugerpak007 and Betchy... Please send passwords to: [email protected]. Thanks Lub ya all!!!
from poolagirl :
Profound entry. Life is all about connections, isn't it? The right person is close - just waiting for the perfect "click" time with you, fairygodmum. On another note....I am SO curious about your show! I would love to get up there to SF and see your work sometime.
from boxx9000 :
I connected with a lot of what you said today. I don't think I am suited to spend all my time with a husband/boyfriend. I just like the company every now and then.
from sasori-gal :
Wow~ I felt such a strong connection with your entry today. Thank you for sharing such deep emotions with us. Believe me, I do hear ya...and chocolate and carrot sticks always seem to be there for me, too! *hugs*
from poolagirl :
YOW! Amazing project and amazing pictures! You are GORGEOUS!
from coldandgray :
Ooh, pretty pictures, I love it!
from randommuse :
I've so missed reading your wonderful journal! And your thesis project sounds amazing...but you're amazing, so that shouldn't be surprising.
from radiogurl :
You're an absolutely beautiful woman... And it sounds like your grandmother was, too. What an amazing tribute: I hope that the show is a huge hit and that two weeks after people walk away, it sticks in their minds and awakes them to their own idiosyncracies and joys. *Hugs*
from sasori-gal :
*big hugs* Thank you for your wonderful, wonderful message! It made my day! I can't wait for the day when that dream of yours becomes a reality and I'll be able to watch you accept your award. You'll hear me screaming, "That's Fairygodmum! That's Fairygodmum!" Your Grammy sounds so special. What a beautiful tribute your show will be to her. Speaking of beautiful, you look radiant! Do take care and hope the cough disappears like magic!
from chaosdaily :
*humming* imagine all the people, living life in peace.......
from coldandgray :
Brandy & Ginger, sleeping late, sun-shining, dog walking: yes, yes, yes, yes~~~
from radiogurl :
The bird flu is definitely making its rounds, but I had hoped it would go "around" Diaryland and skip the folks here. I'm glad you're recovering; just take it easy and take care of yourself! *Hugs*
from ms-do :
Bebe are you ok? Have not seen you in a while, getting worried Missy!!
from sasori-gal :
Oh no! Sorry to hear that you've been truly under the weather! Take good care, pamper yourself and feel better real soon, okay? *hugs*
from ms-do :
Yeah Bebe that's true i do love him with all my heart. Thanks I needed that....smile
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* I hope you're feeling better soon, m'dear. Take care of yourself!
from coldandgray :
UGS! I hope you feel better, that sounds awful. Thinking of you.
from poolagirl :
Gosh! Take care! Hope you feel better soon. Drink your tea!
from boxx9000 :
Oh, so sorry about the pneumonia. That's really SERIOUS STUFF. Take care of yourself. I'll be wishiing you well from my end. ♥ BoXx
from ms-do :
BEBE, hope you get better real soon, can you feel me sending the love your way gurl? Cause i am. Lots of love C.
from coldandgray :
Oh good! You are not gone! I panicked when I could not find you anywhere. I wrote a pleading note in my profile quote for you, now I need to change it back! Glad all is well.
from hissandtell :
Oh, darling - you're back! I was so disappointed when your diary and profile vanished into thin air for several days; I decided you must have removed yourself from DL altogether and be in hiding. So ... I took you off my buddies' list. I'm so sorry! I will put you straight back on, next time I update my profile. Please forgive me! Thank goodness I saw your note as the fabulous ms do's is all I can say. Much love, R xxx
from yarnsmith :
Your show sounds like it was a riot. Welcome back to Dland. We missed you.
from radiogurl :
Wooohooo! You're back! I have tried clicking on the link to your diary but it had disappeared for a while. I'm glad to know that it's back up and operable :) Also glad to hear about your show - sounds funny and sweet and absolutely dead-on true to life. Those are ALWAYS the best. Thank you for the kind wishes and kind words - they are always welcome *hugs*
from ms-do :
it must have been the boobage alert. How are you? I hadn't been able to get into your diary but will try now. Love ya
from sasori-gal :
Happy Valentine's Day!! And as they say in Japanese after someone has finished a project, production or work day "Otsukaresamadeshita" which sort of means "You worked hard~ take a rest!" I'm glad you're back with us on Diaryland. I read your previous entry because I couldn't get into your diary before. But *yay* now you're back! Congratulations on a show well-done! I see a Tony in your future! :)
from licalicious :
... and I very much agree with "the simple lines"
from licalicious :
Thanks for the note, good advice. Show-biz doesn't appeal to me but I would like to write something someday, who knows if this class wil help or not but it sounds fun.
from radiogurl :
I hope someday to have a home of my own to paint in the colors I would like. But in the interim, I'm delighted you let us live vicariously through your descriptions! I'd love to see, though - both the results in the rooms and the paintings on canvas. I've got paint and canvases but no time to paint any more :(
from arc-angel666 :
Good Morning: I have seen all kinds of rings around the Moon before but this was my first experience with the Sun. It was beautiful. There is a photo in one of the local papers I'll see what I can do. Are you going to post any of your paintings. I think that would be neat....Maybe Diaryland should have an Art Festival? Paintings, drawings, ceramics, jewelry and so on. I hope this display the Sun put on is a GOOD Omen.
from poolagirl :
Thank you so much for your gift of insight and your connection to my friend, Theresa. Your thoughts and shared words brought great comfort to my heart. Thank you, fairygodmum. You have deep wisdom and an even deeper soul. Blessings.
from yarnsmith :
Nothing better than freshly colored walls. Your colors sound comfy and settling to the soul.
from coldandgray :
You are right, I would love that, sounds hilariously fun. I will mention it to my pals in the bay area.
from catinasnit :
The sheer numbers are too much to take in, aren't they? My mind simply can't absorb it all. I'm just so touched by how many countries are coming together for a common goal. Not to mention the persoanl showing of love and concern and gift of money from so many.
from radiogurl :
The situation there is beyond tragic... I hope that in this new year, all of those families are able to find some measure of peace. :(
from yarnsmith :
Nothing like spending time with family. I didnt' know they made Pokeno any more. I love your resolutions. Hope you keep them all. I'm with you on the 20 pounds...although I could lost 20 pounds a month forever and still not be skinny. Happy New Year
from hissandtell :
Lots of luck and love are heading your way to help you keep those resolutions, doll. Big hugs from me for a fabulous new year, too. Love, R xxx
from marn :
Thank you Bebe. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that 2005 makes you the fairy god princess you rightfully deserve to be, eh :)
from arc-angel666 :
Hi: I was sitting here at the computer trying to digest another giant meal and thinking I should ask my Fairygodmum for a wish. And before I could ask it was granted! This is the first time we have been in the Mountains at Christmas and it didn't snow. If you read about my Thanksgiving entry you know we have a great time here. But sadly there was no snow for Christmas, there were patches left from the last snow but not enough for the sled run. The local Mts resorts made snow so we were skiing and such but no snow at my sister's..........BUT as I started typing it started snowing. My Brother just said according to the weather channel, we are going to get a ton of the fluffy stuff over the next 3 days. Thanks Fairygodmum. Snow the day after Christmas works for us!
from boxx9000 :
Happy Holidayz to you, too! I was really feeling my age this year, hopefully it is just a phase. Like a bad dream and I shall wake up. I would think all your dancing would keep you in tip top shape? Wishing you lots of health and happiness in the New Year. ~love, BoXxxXxxxx
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* Merry Christmas - sounds like yours was as interesting as mine, albeit in a different way!
from sasori-gal :
Thanks for the holiday cheer! And a very happy, healthy holiday season to you too, my dear fairygodmum! Wow~ just reading your entry today had my stomach growling! *yum* All the best in 2005!! *Christmas hugs*
from ms-do :
Merry Christmas Bebe thanks so much for the card!! lots of love Clare, Otis and Seamus
from yarnsmith :
Merry Christmas!!! Ho Ho HO!!!
from dangerspouse :
Hey, uh...would you happen to have the number of that chick who pantomimed giving her ex head? Just curious.... ;)
from betchy :
if you check out your notes before christmas just want to say have a good one. if its after, hope you had a good one!
from coldandgray :
If I still lived in SF, I would have for sure gone to see your show. I am sorry I missed it, but glad it went well & that your Dad enjoyed it.
from radiogurl :
Awww I'm so glad your show came together as it did! It's a good start: and here's to many more to follow, with even greater success and with recognition that extends into professional show biz. *Raises glass*
from yarnsmith :
"Producing good show, showcasing real talent" is, to me the key to success in show buisiness...I never enjoyed watching people act out their problems on stage. Watching a movie with a tragic character is one thing but to me a stage performance should be entertaining. Sounds like you really wowed them and your Dad....always feels good when your parents walk away proud....Also...nothing wrong with strutting your stuff in your middle age....keep struttin.
from boxx9000 :
Ah, so nice. Some Daddy/Daughter time. Do you see your Dad often? Does he live close or far? I'm glad all went well with your show. It's good to see you updating again.
from chaosdaily :
oh yay!! a show stopper, congrats!! glad your dad enjoyed it!
from sasori-gal :
That is awesome! Hearing that your dad was there brought tears to my eyes. How proud he must be of you! And of course, all of us here at Diaryland are super proud of our Fairygodmum! *hugs*
from hissandtell :
Wow! What a triumph for you. So glad you were able to break a proverbial leg without actually hurting anything, darling. (Photographs? Huh? Please?) Love, R xxx
from radiogurl :
Break a leg, m'lady! And I'm a visionary soul - don't know if that's good or bad, LOL~
from yarnsmith :
Break a leg!....Isn't that show talk for Good luck? Of course I really don't wish you a broken leg. Your show sounds awsome....Can't wait to hear how it went.
from catinasnit :
Did you write the words to the song..."I've got music in my ear..." Wow! I'm simply in awe of people who can write music, poetry, MUSICALS. You're right, the tarot card reading should be very popular. How fun! Wish I could be there. Can't wait to hear how it goes. I've missed you but completely know all to well how life can simply take over.
from sasori-gal :
I miss you, too, but it sounds like you have been super busy preparing for this extravaganza. Oh, how I would LOVE to be there in San Francisco cheering you on! Celebrate and we'll be thinking of you! :)
from hissandtell :
Darling, I realise you're very busy with rehearsals and performances, but I miss you. Please come back soon and tell us about them! Love, R xxx
from marn :
I got weary just reading about all your projects. You have no idea how I envy your energy and creativity! Way to go, Bebe :)
from nerddette :
I don't have red hair but I often wear a red t-shirt! Never thought there may be a connection? I might have to make sure I wear the dull navy blue one in future. Thanks for the tip. t.x
from radiogurl :
Hey, I'm not opposed to sending you a voice recording. What do you want to hear? :)
from yarnsmith :
I am laughing so hard at your note...I guess I should have taken a poll before I agreed to put weird stuff in the dressing like wild rice, apples and nuts. No one will eat the leftovers..LOL!!!! Maybe the homeless lady in the woods will. Hope you had a great holiday.
from ms-do :
Bebe, I hope things are going well and your not under too much stress. Enjoy Thanksgiving, speak to you soon i hope, haven't seen you on msn speak to me Sister.
from bamstroker :
ohh i know about that 11:11 thing because i see it all the time. i thought i was going crazy at first because every time i'd look up at the clock or glance at the time, there was ALWAYS an 11 there. i found a site about it and was very surprised of the number of people who see the same thing. i figured that, subconsciously, i was timing the clock so that i'd look up at moments when an 11 would be there, but who knows. its quite a mystery. :) have you seen the site where people are like, in a circle holding hands? lmao that freaked me out a tad.
from yarnsmith :
My sister is always seeing the 11:11. Eleven is so integrated into her life. My mother died 8 years ago on 11/11/96 at exactly 11:11 PM. That completely blew my sissy away.
from boxx9000 :
11:11 I find all the number stuff quite fascinating. I plan to read more. My court date is 11-22. I wake up during the night and the clock is always double numbers. I thought that was rather weird, but it happens almost every night.
from catinasnit :
"...dance to the tune of your heartbeat." That needs to be framed and read daily. I loved that part of your story today most of all. I also like that you walk your puppy in a memorial garden and say a prayer for those who did not live long enough to have their life dreams fullfilled.
from coldandgray :
What a beautiful song. I LOVE the idea of your performance art piece, must have been amazing. Thanks for mentioning my pet story, I did not mean for it to come out so Maudlin. Happy wish granting!
from poolagirl :
I really LOVE your song - and thanks for leaving me a note! ROYAL FLUSH!
from sasori-gal :
What beautiful lyrics! You are so talented and I only wish I had the chance to see and hear your performances! Hopefully someday I will :)
from coldandgray :
I am from SF & spent some halloween's in the castro until it got WAY over crowded. Great spot for taking photos!
from boxx9000 :
HAPPY HALLOWEEN.....BOO!
from arc-angel666 :
You know I was thinking the very same thing! Are you feeling any better my dear Sister? Should I fly up with Home made Chicken Noodle Soup? Its the least your long lost Brother could do for his little Sister. Feel better Sweetheart.
from sasori-gal :
You continue to amaze me! Do take good care and I hope you're on the road to recovery. Thanks for your sweet note and I'll be sure to take some pics next week since I probably won't be able to on the day of our performance. Good luck with your project! It sounds like a winner!
from radiogurl :
Ack - I'm glad to hear you're feeling a little better. Just don't work so hard you set yourself back in healing!
from radiogurl :
Hopefully no flu for you! *Hugs* Take care of yourself.
from hissandtell :
So glad you're back, darling - even if you didn't exactly break the bank! Love, R xxx
from catinasnit :
So that's where you've been! Vegas -- winning. I won money in a slot machine on a cruise, Dwain lost it all in another one.~~ I know I'm awful, but I'd have probably fed the little squirrel and risked the fine. They are so adorable and I'm such a sucker.
from betchy :
hey you're back! glad you had a good time x
from sasori-gal :
Welcome back! Wow~ 90 bucks is great for a nickel machine. Sounds like you had a fun trip! But oh no~ do take good care and I hope the flu bug will be out of your system soon. :)
from dragonfly-1 :
Hope you have a funtastic time in vegas! It's the funnest place in the world! Thanks for your note!
from krugerpak007 :
Have a great time in Los Vegas! xoxox
from arc-angel666 :
Good Luck FairyGodMum: My Mother was born on 10/14/can't tell ya the year for fear of sudden and painful death. Take all your money put it on the red 12/roulette...I don't gamble much, especially with that technique LOL.
from sasori-gal :
Have a wonderful, LUCKY time in Las Vegas! They have lots of penny slots now which is just my speed. (I used to play the nickel slots as well.) I hope to see your picture next time I go as one of those Megabucks winners. Hopefully you won't need his services, but my brother is a paramedic in Vegas so at least I know you're in good hands should you faint from winning a HUGE jackpot! Enjoy!!!
from yarnsmith :
Oh NO!!!! Vegas with old ladies. Bless you fairygodmum....My wish is for you to have fun and not lose any little old ladies. I have images of my husbnd and I in our late 20's dragging my 70 year ol mother in law kicking and screaming, "That one's about to hit", from a slot machine at 2 AM. Gambing old folks can get rabid. LOL.
from radiogurl :
Wow, how fun!!! *Hugs* I hope that you have a wonderful time and win big. You've been doing your part - it's time for Karma to return to you.
from radiogurl :
Woohoo, I get to be the first to post back! It sounds like a fascinating slice of history! I want to know more :)
from radiogurl :
It sounds like you have some fascinating friends. I suppose that should surprise no one, as you yourself are so amazing!
from randommuse :
Aha, just me reading a little too fast (reading surreptiously at work, of course). And yeah, what is with assumptions being made about women hanging out together? I love being around a group of intelligent women just because of the power it brings.
from fairygodmum :
Roomate.. What are you guys talking about??? You mean Teish??? Ohhhh nooo.. she I just ran into her on the street.. she came to my dorm room and we talked all night til we pooped OUT!.. So she ended up spending the nite... and then we had to interpret each other's dreams.. she was quite a prophetic person... and I felt honored for her to consult in me. Back then.. it was ok for girls to hang out and not be called gay or somethin... funny how times have changed.. Hugz, Bebe
from randommuse :
My week was positively boring compared to yours :) Your former roommate sounds wonderful and I'm glad you two were able to reconnect. "We just add on what we naturally are," or something to that effect, was well said.
from marn :
You're right, Bebe, we might as well dance.
from catinasnit :
You must have been one FUN roommate and friend. I'd have loved to have you living in my dorm. I like the way you think. I'm always so curious about other peoples beliefs and how it affects their daily lives. You're certainly a fun read. I was so happy to see your name lit up on my buddy list today.
from randommuse :
Oh, the pittfalls of having to do your laundry outside of your abode...I know this so well. Just wanted to let you know that when your name is lit up red on my buddy's list to show you've updated, I do a happy dance ;)
from minstrelite :
I just read your profile and wow! You're in the Great City, too, where I left my heart. My wish is that someone will produce my musical. Thanks!
from radiogurl :
I'm with you - I have a washer/dryer hookup where I live, just no washer or dryer. Oh well, maybe someday *shrugs* If I can even get a washing machine, I'll do well, because better than 85% of the year here it's nice enough to hang clothes out to dry.
from boxx9000 :
I too miss having a washer and a dryer of my own. There is no place I could even put one if I had one. Other than the laundry thing, I really like my little house. My son says that he always meets *interesting* types at the laundry mat in SF!
from chaosdaily :
you can get apartment sized washers and dryers. they are small, but very convenient!!
from arc-angel666 :
AS far as me being blessed, maybe, more like the Powers that be have taken pity on me lol. I feel more like a child of a Lesser God, but it truly is all good and it helps a lot having a Fairygodmum circling overhead, thanks for your hugs it means a lot to me, I need all the help I can get lol
from radiogurl :
I second the thought that you are surrounded by some extraordinary souls. Creativity draws the most unique individuals, doesn't it? :D
from randommuse :
I love hearing about how school is going and about your classmates. It's so different from the life the I lead that I find it fascinating. And I completely agree with you about karma...it's amazing how many opportunities I've lost through my own stubborness or anger. But, I'm acknowledging and working on it.
from randommuse :
Make sure to get plenty of rest! And it sounds like you're surrounded by some incredibly energetic, creative people which always brings a wonderful energy to life.
from radiogurl :
Sounds like a wonderful, quirky, diverse group. How fascinating! And I'd love your reviews. I don't go to the movies often at all, no more than once or twice a year, so I appreciate knowing which films are worth seeing :)
from arc-angel666 :
Hi Fairygodmum: Pudding cups! Nothing better to revive one's soul. In times of stress, anger, fear and anxiety to fortify I comsume quanities of the foods of the Gods....Pudding. My dogs would eat anything!
from betchy :
my life is a bit of a nightmare! And a bollard is like a short stump post thing that you get in the middle of a street. i dont really know how to explain it!
from catinasnit :
oh, I think I would like Cody. Anyone who can actually speak another language, I find facinating. Piglatin doesn't count, but my husband can't get over how fluent I am in that language (oh brother). Gosh, I'm sorry I forgot to wake you up at 7:00 OH and it's central time here too, so I guess I'm actually a little early ~~ sorry about that. Go back to sleep. According to my clock, it's 7:30.
from radiogurl :
Hehee. He's got my phone number but he also has a lot of things going on in his life right now. I can be patient, and in fact I believe it is in everyone's best interest if things move kind of slowly. I've jumped into relationships too quickly in the past and I think that's one of the reasons they've soured equally quickly.
from betchy :
hey its all good. i live in a haunted house! not many people can say that!
from radiogurl :
Ack about the job situation, but from the sounds of it, maybe it's for the best. Here's hoping that you find something better, soon. *Hugs*
from marn :
No sign of them yet, so maybe they were dropped off deep enough in the woods that they won't find us. I live in hope, eh?
from catinasnit :
Why in the world can't people just be honest! REALLY. Personally, I'd hire a loyal person and treasure them ~~ and pat them and hug them and keep them forever (listen for the looney-toon sound of expelled breath).
from poolagirl :
I guess the universe planted toothless guy in your way to make sure you stay on track - on task - doing what you love.
from sasori-gal :
*heeheehee* There's a toothless guy I know here in Japan that would probably fall under your spell as well! It's fabulous to hear how much you're enjoying school. I love your energy! :)
from dangerspouse :
Ha! No wonder you're begging so unseemingly for that dollar, you unemployed drain on society, you. Ok, don't worry. The food stamps will all be mailed out when I return from Canada. Good luck in your new, non-crusty career!
from arc-angel666 :
Hello Fairygodmum: We have something in common! I eat stale cookies at 3 in the morning and my dogs use to stick their butts on my head when they wanted out too! I don't watch cartoons though my life is too much like a one to watch them on purpose. Fairygodmum, I'd like you to grant me a wish please. I wish something nice happens to you tomorrow. Respectfully wishing Michael
from chaosdaily :
cookies never last long enough in my house to get stale, especially if there is chocolate in them!!
from radiogurl :
I wish healing for your dance teacher and good things for you *hugs* Have a terrific day!
from betchy :
ah, it is a garbage man! so you can see why i am slightly disturbed! so, you really find the cockney accents hard to understand? you would have a hell of a time understanding me then! do you not watch eastenders?
from dangerspouse :
Hey BebeFGM, thanks for the note! Sorry it's taken me so long to reply - still fighting the Troops for computer time at DangerHouse. So if you ever DO come to NYC, make sure you wear that Man Catchin' Hat. You can use it to sheild your eyes from the blood. Ciao!
from randommuse :
Oh gosh, do I understand. A while back, sock-girlie and just-jenn had cute boys and pro-football players chasing them. Me...I had a weird waiter from Denny's and a toothless trucker giving me the eye. I've actually done the speed-dating thing before (it's in one of my past entries somewhere) and had a great time and met some great guys. No big romance, but fun all the same. I just wrote in HissandTell's notes I think my pheromones chase off the men :)
from radiogurl :
Eep! Just say no to guys who are toothless and dreadlocked. I heard absolutely no sounds of attraction on your part (gee, can't imagine why, can you?) so obviously you gotta pass on those guys, lol. But it's good you're still getting to work enough to bolster your vacation fund. You go, girl! :D
from coldandgray :
Thanks, FGM, I feel better already (other than like I am on a slight left tilt & everything tastes tinny). Congrats on the Masters program in SF, that is where I am from.
from sasori-gal :
*hooray, hoorah!* Congratulations! It's always nice when fairygodmum's get their wishes granted too! Good job, my dear! *hugs*
from poolagirl :
Congratulations! Wahoooo! Will you remember us when you are rich and famous?
from betchy :
congratulations!!! you must be over the moon! x
from hissandtell :
How completely wonderful - congratulations, darling! Now I get the chance to send you all my best wishes for brilliance and luck and financial fabulousness and all those other good things! Love, R xxx
from radiogurl :
What a sweet tribute. Thank you for the reminder of the amazing things that our enemies inadvertently accomplished. Yes, they hurt us. But in the aftermath, they strengthened us and made us better people overall.
from bamstroker :
thank you for your lovely words :) *hugs* my dog is completely fine, and healthy now. it turns out what my mom said was just nonsense from her drunken state. when she's sober she's a loving, excellent person. she hasn't had a drink since the last time and is holding up well even with losing her license for DWI. once again you're really sweet, sorry it took me so long to reply. work and life in general has been very demanding. all my love- how are things going for you? xoxo.
from sasori-gal :
Hmmm~ as healthy as the food is here, I would LOVE a burrito right now! Your tribute was lovely and yes, I lit a candle in remembrance. *hugs*
from treesssa :
Thanks so much for the comment and adding me to your favs!!I'll check you out in a bit!
from sasori-gal :
If you need a PR agent for when your ideal show comes to Japan, I will gladly volunteer! :)
from radiogurl :
((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) Your production sounds ambitous, also sounds like a lot of fun. It is a wonderful analogy of life - challenging, seriocomic, sometimes absurd, always moving, morphing into something else. If we are lucky, the play - life - is interspersed with recognition, with glimpses of happiness and laughter, and we accept those riches with the knowledge of just how precious they truly are. I wish for you to discover that happiness.
from randommuse :
Okay, now my wish is to be in this show :)
from catinasnit :
Hey, a HUGE thanks for the intense zodiac help. I have copied the web page you sent me, and intend to look it up today. You are a truly amazing person.
from boxx9000 :
My one wish is to be happy.
from betchy :
who are you reviewing for? i review at chicksreview, are you joining us there? my birthday is 16/11/81 so what type of scorpio does that make me? and dean is a sagittarius, his birthday is the 25th november so are we compatible? and fentons birthday is 18th march and he is a pisces, am i compatible with him? wow its so cool to have someone who knows their stuff, you cant rely on the horoscopes in magazines. hope you dont mind me asking!
from catinasnit :
WOW! That was one interesting post, I've gotta tell ya. Some of your description sounds like my youngest daughter, and some sounds like me; neither of us are Virgo. I'm Aries and I think she is Gemini (June 11th). What I thought was most interesting, though, was your delightful, colorful description of San Francisco "freaks." Your freaky friend sounds like a traveling companion who is a ton of fun. I'd hang on to him.
from randommuse :
I always love reading your words. Just beautifully written. Everything I've ever read about Taurus (my sign) is stubborn, stubborn, stubborn...maybe you can help :)
from betchy :
hello! my mum and my nan are both virgo's, and so is my joey baby. that description was definately accurate for my mum and nan but i think joey may be a rogue virgo. she is a lot like me and i am scorpio. what are my traits?
from chaosdaily :
ummm does it count when you find a feather from a bird that your cat has just eaten???
from boxx9000 :
The BEAR Challenge: BARON Fuzzy Von Wuzzy was a BEAR. BARON Fuzzy Von Wuzzy had no hair (BARE). BARON Fuzzy Von Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy, was he? Fuzzy was forced to wear a BARREL after his encounter with the BARRACUDA that he BARELY escaped and left him fuzz-less. I know this story is quite unBEARable. Please pass the BAYER (aspirin) Please, don't let this be a BARRIER to our friendship. I wish only to be happy.
from hissandtell :
Darling, I am loving your diary. I must tell you that I found a stunning feather this morning during my usual walk through the bush. It's from an owl (or more correctly, a Tawny Frogmouth) which has geat significance for me. I crawled through the fence to get it, touched it gently and held it to my face and made a wish, then stuck it in my hat (and called it Macaroni). Actually I made the last bit up. Much love, R xxx
from radiogurl :
*Hugs* I'm sorry you're going through such a rough time in your life. I wish I could find a way to help you. But if this door closes, and you accept it gracefully, another will open for you. And the new door will usher you into a very different and much better world.
from yarnsmith :
My only wish....as well as joining you in praying for those poor kids in Russia and the people in Florida, is that all your wishes come true. How sweet of you to think of others. My company was taken over by a new owner and I actually tried to get fired for the first 9 months...he wouldn't fire me though. Now I have adapted to the change and he has met me half way and we actually like each other. Change is hard...but sometimes change is good. Maybe all your little signs..your dead flower and broken shells, etc...are simply a sign that change is coming your way. I wish and hope that the changes that happen in your life lead you to a better place.....Paula
from arc-angel666 :
Good Morning Fairy-God-Mum-Babe: A Babe is a Babe is a Babe period LOL. Priests/Nuns aren't exempt from good looks sorry. The Powers that be, Nature or the Universe/Cosmos (pick one) has deemed you good lookin.....naner naner naner lol! The thought of a good looking Nun somehow is strangely exciting BUT I respect what you are doing and will retract my fangs, put away my bushy tail and declaw myself lol. AS you say your Babe days are over so is my time running with the pack, my hunting days are over also. Being that I am single and unattached I do enjoy the company of Women. On rare occasions when there is a Hunter's Moon I sniff the air for that drifting scent of a Woman and scan the horizon oopps my fangs are showing lol, just kidding. Peace to You Sister Bebe the Babe. Respectfully Michael
from ms-do :
FGM......ok saying my prayers for you Missy....you can't work there. What happened with the blonde haired woman at the counter at your college/school? And to help your karma a wish........damn i can't think of one right now. oh oh oh yeah i can......want me and my boys to embrase excersie starting now......smile Love Ms Do
from chaosdaily :
ok, my wish is that my son figures out how important school is... and how much trouble some of his "friends" are.. and if they fire you at work, you should be able to get unemployment, although working only 2 nights it wouldnt be much. and your new bosses have already crossed the line into sexual harrassment, you could likely get unemployment just on that basis alone, even if you quit because of it. dont let them do it!! and the government will send you a poster outlining what sexual harrassment is. obviously these guys have no clue!!!!
from ms-do :
Thanks FGM for your comment.....yes i'm just gonna accept and go with the flow....thankyou....(L) Ms Do
from randommuse :
First of all, I'm sending all the positive thoughts I can for you to get a workstudy and scholarship for the EPI Master's Program. And Art Therapy?!?! A lady from work and I were talking about art therapy at lunch today and what a wonderful profession it would be. I scored a 28 on the TYPE E personality test. And let's see, I do want to get a wish in before the deadline, so here goes: I wish to have a profession that clearly matches my passion.
from arc-angel666 :
Goodness the Fairy-God-Mum is a babe! And a busy one. Sings, Dances, and she's a Babe, Acts, Designs, Artist, and a Babe, a Practioner of the Mystic Arts, A Monk, and Fixes people up. Did I mention she's a Babe? You Go Fairy-God-Mum and Babe. Respectfully impressed with your work and Babe-age Michael
from arc-angel666 :
Before you call me a nitwit again, I haven't read all your entries I wish I could, but time is at a premium here. Are you an Actor? Theater? A Theater Major in the Master's Program? You mentioned City College, I so confused Na ah ah ah no name calling! Remember I'm physically ill(a cold) plus mentally disturbed(natural state), be patient. You Sing (about boobs), Dance and Act and grant Wishes....kewl. My kind of Woman. Respectfully Arc-Angel 666
from randommuse :
Okay, for you to put up with the Nerd humping you for an audition...you should be in the Master's program for putting up with that alone! Some past things are getting out of your life to make way for new opportunities.
from arc-angel666 :
Dear Fairy-God-Mum: A Tutu? And Dancing shoes? What exactly do you have in mind Sweet Fairy? Brush my long hair and tell me I'm pretty and I'm liable to do anything LOL. Okay down to business here. I just visited your diary and read something to the affect of someone humping your rear, spread eagled with legs apart and humping the Geek. I like to think of myself as a person with a bit of intelligence and can deduce and figure out most situation, I are smart I is, but you have me baffeled. Would you be kind enough to hold my hand and walk me through this one? Thank you I'm at a disadvantage I have a cold and not all my gears are working. Please pity me and hold me close as we walk through this might I suggest you tie my hands being we'll be that pressed together LOL. Respectfully Michael not too smart tonight
from poolagirl :
Thanks for stopping by my diary - and I just HAD to make you a fave! My gosh, you are funny!
from ms-do :
I bet that hat looks great too. Your perfect job is coming. Your so busy Bebe keep going gurl.
from catinasnit :
My mother AND my grandmother used to say the same thing... Same great era, I guess. Directing a musical/play? Can't even imagine it. I love drama, but can't act. I get stage fright and my heart beats in my ears so loud that I can't hear my cue. Good for you! -Megan-
from krugerpak007 :
I just stopped in to say hi. Dancing classes sound great. No matter how big your boobies are, you are out there doing it. I would never ever be able to do it, no matter how much I wanted it. I moan and moan and then when I hear you talk about that guy who is ill, it makes me realise that there is so much I have to be thankful for, and that I should appreciate. I hope you are having a good weekend. xoxo Kathy
from betchy :
hell yeah, its all that and a whole lot more!!! believe me it all comes back and then some. i thought i had forgotten but it all came screaming back to me!! ye ha!!!!!!!
from randommuse :
Are you kidding?! I love your website! And, I think adding flash animation would be a great idea...shows you know your stuff! You're an impressive individual with some incredible talents. Unfortunately, there will always be some (like the person that interviewed you...I really have a feeling about them) that will be jealous or intimidated. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't show the world what an amazing individual you are. By doing that, you'll be lead to the job you were meant to have. Lots of love and good thoughts coming your way.
from catinasnit :
I read your post AGAIN. So funny. I think I would like lightening bolts on my toenails. My granddaughter would like it even more. Thank you ever so much for reading my daughter's diary. I e-mailed her your comments. She'll eventually figure out how to turn her notes on and all the other Diaryland stuff. Her name is Jayme. She's a former dancer, you know, ballet, tap, jazz, etc. She would love your site and I've encouraged her to read it. Besides that, she says she needs a fairygodmum. -Megan-
from yarnsmith :
If I took dance class...my boobies would knock me unconscience...I love your gentle humor and warm advice.
from hilseymour :
Hey, thanks for your comments, especially the "cute nose" and the "rainbow connection" ones...I just used the free download of Paintshop Pro to do the pics...it's gonna expire soon tho!
from randommuse :
I just love reading your diary. I always have this feeling of peace when I'm finished with your entry. Now, hopefully I can say something to comfort you...first, is the Stone Kold Production you? Because, that is INCREDIBLY impressive. You had asked in one of your earlier entries how you were overqualified and why you didn't get a job you knew you were perfect for. You were perfect for it...AND you were also perfect for the job of the interviewer. See, the interviewer was intimidated by your experience and let her own emotions get in the way of making a good choice. And, I know this because I interview people in my job and I also know that sometimes I haven't let go of my own ego enough to see the real person sitting across from me. I definitely have a lot to work on, as we all do. I've just started Japa meditation and am trying to let go of ego to manifest abundance in my life. Silly emotions always seem to get in the way :)
from sasori-gal :
Thanks for your note! I pictured you doing a little tap dance with that message! I enjoyed browsing through a lot of your links. Your resume is very impressive and I'm in awe of you and your talents. I love reading about your dance classes. You know, my dance teacher here in Japan made us all wear padding under our costumes to give all of us boobies since none of us were naturally blessed! *giggle* ;)
from betchy :
yes definately pleasureable!!!
from catinasnit :
Your comment: "all those Maids drive SUV's!" I'm in the wrong profession. Maybe their SUVs a tax write off. You have such a way with words and such compassion for your fellow man. I admire you for taking the dance class. I'll bet you try a cartwheel before semester is over. -Megan-
from radiogurl :
I'm giggling at the comments from arc-angel... But happy to see that you're doing something that's fun and positive. I'd like to take a dance class but at the moment I'm too engrossed in a juggling act. Juggling work, home, and the desire to write! I'm glad to see you've retained a beautiful sense of humor. It is as much your gift as wishes, my dear. When you make people smile, you are fulfilling the wishes they never knew they had. You grant people happiness they don't know how to ask for. Good for you. Sending you a great big HUG!
from arc-angel666 :
Are you a Good Fairy or a Bad Fairy? Hey I made a wish! And all I got was a huge pimple in the middle of my forehead. So I made another wish and all the feathers on my wings fell off. You don't work for dangerspouse do you LOL? Blessed Be Arc-Angel 666
from arc-angel666 :
Hi I just read your comments to Radiogurl. The one that grabbed out at me the most was the comment concerning bad boys. Good in Bed, Small Pee Wee, Controling and Mother issues. Well I'm A Bad Boy and your right My Mother had a small Pee Wee and was always trying to control everything.
from boxx9000 :
My son lives in SF. I live an hour north. The paralegal is mine (I call her my lawyer). My EX's brother is HIS lawyer.
from im2qt2kr :
Thank you for your sweet note. I needed that. I'm working hard to get back to the "old me" from my earlier "silly" entries....Perhaps after surgery that me will return....I think you'd like her much better. I look forward to snooping through your entries. How could I not with a great name like "fairygodmum".
from whystinger :
Thanks for the comments. I may just leave. On the other hand, maybe it can be fixed....
from augustdreams :
Thank you so much for your sweet note. And don't ever put away your altar, tarot cards, tea leaves or anything else! Anyone worthy of your love will love you for *everything* that you are. *hug* I'll bet you knew that already, but I think it always bears repeating. :)
from krugerpak007 :
Those sound like such nice courses. Wow. I hope you enjoy it. xoxo Kathy
from randommuse :
Oh my, so glad you left a note so I could check out your diary. Your schedule left me exhausted just reading it. But, we always seem to find the strength to reach goals that are important to us, don't we?
from yarnsmith :
Cows have beautiful eyes.
from chaosdaily :
mum, i read your note to wench77. have you ever read the book, the jesus scrolls? it has a lot of things in that kind of disagree with what us catholic children were taught... like jesus having children, and siblings.
from sasori-gal :
Have a great first day at school! My goodness~ you have quite a busy schedule, but I'm so envious! Your classes sound so exciting. Dance to your heart's content! :)
from catinasnit :
Are you in the process of getting a Master's Degree? I'm a little slow on the uptake here. My daughter (the one I told you about) is in the process of finishing her undergrad in December and beginning her master's program right after that. What school? - Which school?, is her battle cry. Are you majoring in dance? Anyway, sounds like you are either up all night working, studying or you work ungodly hours -- just like my child does. Don't let those skinny-minny's get to you. You're the Fairy-God-Mum -- they should be green with envy! Can't wait to hear the rest of your story... -Megan-
from boxx9000 :
kindergarten, kindergarten, kindergarten. It's mine! Can you believe it?
from krugerpak007 :
Mmm. I loved that entry... Thanks for all your nice notes and for making me smile. they are appreciated. The right man will come along when you least expect it!
from radiogurl :
I've already begun pricing cars and seeing what I can do, how much money I'll have to put as a down payment, etc. I need something that will get me to Indianapolis. I'd be a little leery about driving that far in a vehicle that's already got 100,000 miles on it, though I've done comparable before. I never sit back and expect things to fall into my lap. I generally work for them before they land there, and this time is no exception. ;) But I am still using MY wish, if I have one, to wish for your job! I'll find a way to get a vehicle, even if it's a junker, long as it runs.
from chaosdaily :
thanks for adding me mum. im still thinking about a wish though..... most times when you are passed up for a job because you're "overqualified" means that the employer thinks you will quit as soon as you find a better job that you are qualified for.....
from radiogurl :
It's interesting to see your take on men - rather different than mine. I tend to regard them as imminently dangerous creatures best avoided. Sadly that means the only ones I encounter, as a rule, are the ones who are aggressive and who live solely for the chase. I don't know if that's good or bad sometimes, lol. I hope that your job search and your soulmate search go well. I'm back to looking for a car, but something will work out. :) I'm working and I have a roof over my head and food to eat - can't ask for much more than that!
from moogleness :
woot you've left me a note. that makes you cool. you're now officially on my list of super cool people in my mind. yesh. ^_~
from catinasnit :
My oldest daughter and you could talk. She also looks under rocks and declares they DO tell a story. She can read them and has taught her child to do the same. She thinks about men in the same way. She believes the only usefulness of men is to mow lawns. And since she can maintain her lawnmower and mow her own lawn, she doesn't see much use in having men around -- unless they are interested in reading river rocks and exploring caves. -Megan-
from betchy :
wowsa's!!!! so what do you actually do then??? do people ask you to do stuff, or do you just decide that someone deserves something and then do it?? what kind of stuff have you done??? can you do stuff for yourself?? i find this sooooo interesting!!
from betchy :
oh fairy god mum do you really have special gifts?? and how do you use them? thanks for adding me x
from yarnsmith :
You are a writer and quite a good one, whether you know it or not....Paula
from boxx9000 :
Dear FGM: Thanks so much for your awsome wishes. They worked! I passed the CSET. Now I just have to get a J-O-B. I'm sending you lots of good vibes with YOUR job search as well. How wonderful to have met such great buddies like yourself and others here at Diary Land. I am such a lucky girl and thankful. ((((hugz))))
from catinasnit :
I'm a great believer in at least attempting to do something nice for someone -- but doing it in secret. Now, as for your post -- where did all the kids-who-need-jobs go? You know, the truly excited ones? If I owned a food-related business, I would pay extra to have servers with good manners and who smile. I've been known to "tip well" and leave a napkin note of thanks when a server has been pleasent. No doubt, with your positive attiture, you'll go far in this life. Good Post! -Megan-
from boxx9000 :
♥ thanks ♥
from yarnsmith :
Hi fairygodmum....my wish is to live in a beutiful old home in the country...working on that one now. Unfortunately the pregnant ride on the motorcycle where hubby had to ride on the tank took place 25 years ago...thank God no pictures were taken. Now, my natural girth would have him up on the tank. There would not be any pictures of that taken either.. Better my nephew has the bike.LOL!!!...Paula
from catinasnit :
Fasinating - the O-Bon ceremony thing. Where I come from, the non-Buddist (actually, I don't think we have ANY Buddists 'round here) people gather in-mass and usually clean up cemetaries once a year. They call it Decoration Day. Food is brought, but only consumed by "the living." I'm not sure how I would feel about inviting a dead relative to stay in my home for three days. My living children, when they come to visit for three days, are bad enough. I am carefully considering a wish, so I'll be visiting you again. -Megan-
from hissandtell :
Darling, you've no idea how completely thrilled I was to see you'd added me to your list of favourites. I feel truly blessed and can't wait to read more of your wonderful diary. Love, R xxx
from radiogurl :
I hope that your interview brings the results that are right for you - but that if you're not meant for that position, that the right job for you comes open very, very soon :)
from catinasnit :
If you grew up in Arkansas (like I did) you would absolutely know that these superstitions are as real to some local people as witches and ghosts. My mother-in-law is one of those people. I try hard not to laugh when she's being serious. Hey, it's interesting stuff. And I know that someday her tails and superstitions will go with her when she's not here to tell them anymore. Loved your post I'll be "haunting" you again -Megan-
from radiogurl :
I see you're out granting wishes. Boxx has already seen the first returns from your kindness. :D Thank you - sounds like she needed your help!
from sasori-gal :
Found the link to you on Boxx9000's entry. I enjoyed your explanation of Friday the 13th as well as your previous entries. I will send positive vibes and energy out your way so that you get your dream job. I've been lucky enough not to need any wishes granted at this time, but it sure would be nice if we could combine powers to grant your wishes and those of our buddies! :)
from krugerpak007 :
That was interesting... Have a good weekend. xoxo
from ms-do :
FGM your gonna be addicted to Diaryland......and i for one am glad. Hey and i'm granting your wish, a job of your dreams.............!!
from krugerpak007 :
Thanks a lot for your note. I am glad that others share my dislike of these checks that we HAVE to do. Sometimes its not easy been a woman? xoxo Kathy
from radiogurl :
What a wonderful, generous spirit you have! I wish for YOU to have your dearest desires granted and have a life of peace. (((((Hugs))))) It's uplifting just to read what you have to say. Thank you for such a remarkable start to my day.
from ms-do :
