I have no intention of avoiding chocolate.

OK I will go and try to do that right now. I had some settings wrong on myspace, and no one could message me though I have it fixed now.
from dcalien :
Love the pic of the deer. I have a new diary here. Called onadventure. Maybe I can come and see you sometime as I will undoubtedly be in your neck of the woods eventually. Also don't know if you have a myspace acct. Mine is linked in my onadventure entries. Well at least the last couple of them. www.myspace.com/dcalien1"
from moee :
Thanks for the advise.
from catsoul :
I went to Zoey's link. I am so happy that Zoey is doing well. Thank you for putting that link there. Is this person who did this kindness, someone you read in Diaryland? Her story reminds some of Idamay's story. If you care enough...the animals will know. =^..^=

Haloscan doesn't like me this morning! So, I'll put this here! I had been wondering why Oscar had been sick recently throwing up and such. I stopped giving him his Ol'Roy can food two days before I read about this recall, and had stopped throwing up. Sure enough,I checked the cabinet for a can, and he was eatting tainted food! He seems to be doing alright now, feeling better than he was, but I'm still super cautious over him and keeping a super close eye on him for a while..I'm sticking to dry dog food for him!

F@cebook is good. Not just kids - I've come across a number of people in their 40's of 50's. MySp@ce gives me a bit of a headache - I hate the way people can spam you, and check out your whole profile without your consent. WIth F@cebook, they can look you up, but they can't access your details until you okay, and they cannot send you messages or request to be a friend without verifying themselves - you can to read and type one of the codes, making sure it's not a program sending the info - really nice. I managed to come across a friend I have been searching for everywhere - she moved away when we were in 10th grade, and I've wanted to reconnect for the past 15 years or so...never been able to find her. Finally found her there - it's nice! And SAFER then freaking MySp@ce!

The few times we hit Foxwoods, I always stay in the non-smoking areas or else I suffer. Where is the Bamboo Forest?
from catsoul :
I started out on my food recovery journey after Clostridium Difficile beginning with just bottled water and veggan broth. My nutritionalist and some of the other doctors thought that the blander and smaller amounts of reintroducing food to the colon would be best. As the months pasted I would try different foods, of a small amount, yet I would have alot of problems. They sent me to an allergist who found out that I was allegric to a number of foods, plus alot of food chemicals and preservatives. Recovery to your colon from this takes anywhere from 1-3 years or more. They also said that I may never eat normally or tolerate foods like I used to. What I had just eats away at the lining of your colon and digestive system. First it destroyed all my good bacteria, then it attacked my colon. I was damn lucky they caught it. So I haven't done any red meat. I tried tuna once, and had to put that on hold. I also tried boiled shrimp, had to put that on hold. I had to find some sort of protein that I could consume besides teaspoons of peanut butter, so I began trying antibiotic-free chicken breasts. I began with so small amounts and slowly increasing them. If I eat too big of a piece of anything, I pay for it for hours, feeling it go through me, making such loud sounds and cramping, etc. I tried one pretzel at work awhile back, that was a big mistake, I ended up going home because I got diarrhea so bad within an hour, had to take my medicine I have for diarrhea, so it stops it immediately. They don't want me to get diarrhea if at all possible, because it then sheds some of the protective lining it has been working so hard at rebuilding. I take large amounts of probiotic acidophilus, twice a day. This promotes the building of good bacteria in your colon. My specialist recommended me starting to take this while I was in the hospital in Jan. 2006. In fact they were pumping me with probiotics and alot of other things there. So in answer to your question, how did I know what I can eat, I have to say that it was a build up process of my body accepting these foods. I needed the protein and carbs in my diet, especially to keep my blood sugar up at least past 100. So I wish you luck in your search, though look into probiotic acidophilus, and I would think the blander the better, you know like the BRAT diet(bananans, rice, applesauce, & toast). Take care.

Hey there, yes I would like to continue to read your writings. My email is: [email protected] I can't wait to see the picture of your new antique ring. I love antique jewelry. You have just opended up a whole new venue for yourself. What is great about antique jewelry is the story behind the pieces. You can find amazing unique pieces at estate sales, plus there is usually someone there to tell you a little life story about the piece. Take care =^..^=

from abeautflmess :
Hope your little doggie's in better spirits, I think it happens to everyone who does grooming on their own, atleast once..I've had it happen with mine..I felt bad, too! As for the wedding ring..It can't hurt to ask. I know how it is to have a partner who spends more on themselves than they do you, because mine's exactly like this. And then if I make the slightest indication that he never thinks of me, as I have him, he flies off the handle, defensive and irritated. I don't think your husband is like this, from what I've read, therefore it sounds like he'll be *open* to working with you on what you want. Good luck! <3

Hi. I'm going to write something tomorrow about how 'internet' drama is so insignificant in the face of real life events, and I want to link to your diary b/c of the accident and how that makes petty squabbles insignificant in the scope of things. May I, please, link? Thanks!

I love your new paint job. I hope your hubby recognizes your painting talents and eye for beauty.
from torchstar :
Oh that painting thing! I painted our bathroom with a spectacular high gloss white latex enamel (I LOVE high gloss). I prefer oil base for many things, but Latex isn't supposed to be "toxic"& I didn't want a headache. WRONG! As I finished the last brushstrokes I felt faint. I stretched out on the couch and couldn't get up for hours! Whew...
from abeautflmess :
Thanks so much for your note, and for your thoughts. It really meant a lot to me. I found your diary by chance and really took to your entries. I'm glad to see you'll be keeping up with me, as well :)

I'm so sorry to hear about all the yuckiness and insurance and dr. headaches. I hope you are able to get it resolved quickly and relatively painlessly. Just saying 'hi.' I think I've completely caught up on your diary. I really enjoyed reading it last night. I hope you are able to find some pasture and sheep! I never thought I would want to work with sheepdogs, but now that I've got one (and a lamb coming in the spring) I wish I knew more about training & working with them. ;-)

I figured out how to add a picture, the only thing is the picture is huge and grainy. So how do I reduce the size of the picture? I thought you might know because all of the pictures I see you put in your diary are beautiful. I sure could use some suggestions.
from bluesymphony :
Thanks gal, it is a bit more comforting to know something than to be wondering about it all the time. Just a bit disheartening when you know there is something a bit worrisome. Also a bit of a pain when you have to really limit something you love, like I should with chocolate. But again at least it is something I can live with. That alone makes it tolerable. Take Care.
from catsoul :
Hi there, I looked up Linda Bergkvist and I didn't see the picture up have up there. I really like that and I wondered who the artist was. I really like Trudi Finch, an English artist, look her up. I also am inspired by Michael Parkes and Daniel Merriam. If you already know about Michael Parkes and have one of his art book collections like, "The World of Michael Parkes" you have got yourself a small gold mine. It goes for thousands of dollars! Anyhoo, just wondering about that artist you have up now on your page. Who are some of the other artists you like and have had on your site? Take care and hope that you keep feeling alright. =^..^=

Just off to have a look now at what you suggested. I mean I have no real worries, it just seems to be the thing that is affecting alot of people all of a sudden. I don't put things in this diary I am not comfortable with sharing but like anything, it depends on whose hands it ends up in. :)
from bitterwineuk :
Just going round very quickly thanking everyone for all thier support over the past few days concerning my locked diary. It really is much appreciated. Thank you for everything!!! Becca
from mel-is-dvash :
Have a wonderful weekend. I really hope the 'Y' works for you, in less pain. I know having a swimming pool I could use regularly would make a world of difference to me.
from bitterwineuk :
Thank you Yvonne. You are so lovely. I just needed someone to agree with me that I am not being stupid here. I feel guilty that all this is happening as it is and all I want is someone to say everything will be fine and have someone there for me. It just seems that everyone else is too busy doing there own things where I come from. I wouldn't expect my friends to give up thier life for me, I am glad they are happy but I just get so frustrated with my family sometimes. I don't criticise my family alot but when I do it is over something big, unfortunately.

The next step is surgery and staging of the tumor. I'll know more about that later today. If the mass is borderline and confined to just that area, I may be able to avoid chemotherapy. Everything is so up in the air right now. It's a very scary time. I'll keep you posted.

I had trouble with haloscan today. Just wanted to comment that 70 years is a LONG time and that's awesome for the happy couple. How sweet. :)
from bitterwineuk :
thanks for your note. It does help that Matthew really does want to learn. My Grandad has slowly been teaching him the alphabet. Not really in order yet but so that Matthew recognises each letter shape. That is his favourite "game" when we visit my grandparents on a Sunday afternoon. He knows most of them by sight and knows his numbers too so he looks and tries to read car number plates. I do also say that he learns alot from tv. Alot of songs I forget about for starters then we both learn too. :)
from d1mndn3r0ugh :
Thanks for the note. I do feel responsible. We have always been VERY careful with the dog and the baby. It was one of those cases of "I only left for a second". I can promise you one thing, it won't happen again!

from bitterwineuk :
Thank you so much for your comment. Nice to know someone is thinking of me when I am so stressed. I really hope things are better this week. It was a horrific weekend and last night was probably worse than before to the point I just cried for ages. Matthew cried because I was upset and he did behave a little better after that. I feel guilty though as I feel like such a horrid mother to him. But, hey, deep breath. New week to start over with. Becca

from d1mndn3r0ugh :
Believe it or not, we used Polysporin religiously. It's a little different than Neosporin but you can still purchase it over the counter. I wouldn't recomment vitamin E, but I would recomment taking a vitamin E and a vitamin C supplement if it doesn't interfere with your fibro. If your burn doesn't start to heal soon, you may have to break down and go to the doctor. An antibiotic or some Silvadene cream may be in order.

07-22-06 - sent the username & pw to your hotmail addy yesterday. Seems like everything goes to my junk file in my hotmail accounts, so just thought I would give you a heads up. Stayed up all night last night scanning 45 year old pictures into the computer to see how the old photos look in PS3. Actually, the process is quite time consuming, but they look better than I thought they would considering the condition of most of them. My mom didn't understand what we do today about caring for photos, so many of them are in pretty bad shape. I uploaded each pic twice, though, making the first of the two appear in sepia tones and then transitioning from the sepia to either b& w or color - pretty cool. It will probably take me the rest of my lifetime to finish, but WHAT ELSE do I have to do ---besides work, babies, digging out the basement, sleeping an hour or two a night - heck, I've got time to spare! ;-)
from shortst101 :
Well I think I sorta got the comments where they will work again. I removed the picture but still don't know how to get all that junk above the comment box off the screen! I need to change everything on my diary soon anyway, might end up doing that today, if I can figure it out! LOL Thanks

Yes, in fact, everything is ALWAYS in place in our home. Hee hee! It just so happens we spent two days organizing, rearranging and cleaning so it looks particularly good right now. Quite often it's extremely messy. Also- Roo just seems to be a bit under the weather. He's old. It happens.
from impetuousme :
Hey, or Hi, is probably more appropriate. Just found your site this morning whilst checking Cindy's comments. It's so good to find someone out there that is near my age, is interesting, is a stay at home, and writes well to boot. I like your site and wish I'd known about you back when you were writing somewhere else. Seems there is a lot of catching up to do. At any rate, I look forward to that. Thanks for the comment you put on my thing and for adding me. As for career advice for you? If I only knew, I'd probably be employed myself. Sigh. Anyway, nice to meet you, and as I said, I look forward to reading you from now on. :) --- Sam

Yes, the one on the top of my back was about 4 hours and I took one 5 minute break because the artist needed to relax his hand for a minute. My chest piece will take about 6 hours to do, I am not sure if it will be done in one sitting, but I sure hope so! I'll sit through it just to be done at once. {I also have a high pain tolerance. Like you said one of those things that happen, when you live in pain daily} Take a nap today momma! :)

from corbel :
I think that it is extremly cool that you let your boys get a tattoo on their 16th birthday! That would never make you a bad mom {cause you rock} I agree that your YS needs to wait longer, since he's indesicive about what he wants. What I always do is draw what I want to have done, then hang it up and wait 6 months looking at it every day to make sure that is really what I want. I'm getting 2 new ones at the end of summer! I can't wait!

Nikaia was mine. She was so precious... But angels can never stay on earth can they? Yes he was arrested for what he did to me and for breaking and entering somebodys house.
from thispain :
It has happened before. Too many times, from too many people. My first beautiful daughter came about that way, and she is three and a half now, my wonderful little angel. Such is the way of the world for me, apparantly. I will be thankful that there is nothing to add to this incident, however..
from momma-zoe :
Eeek..um, yes. hehe. I was 7 {i was always the older kid in class, because of my birthday!} Sorry for hurting your feelings!! :) Have a good day!!!

I'm not sure when you'll get to read this, but I just wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. I hope you have a wonderful time over the holidays! Take Care, Jo X
from simplify :
You asked me how I know interesting cooking things- I think it started when I met Andy. His family is really into food, so when we moved in together I started to teach myself to cook. Then I started reading cookbooks, listening to cooking shows on the radio, watching cooking shows and of course the all important trial and error. Two of my Diaryland favorites (nycme and gofigure) are excellent cooks and I find them to be great sources of inspiration.
from princesse69 :
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family! x

from bitterwineuk :
I will have to get some of me won't I? The trouble is I am always stuck behind the camera snapping away. We will be getting another dispoable camera in a little while anyway to cover xmas and Matthews birthday so we want a birthday family picture. I will get them on disc again and hopefully they should be online by the end of January.

Rabbits bite each other's noses in such a way that they hang by a flap, so they rarely actually lose the nose... The good news is that this rabbit, Claire, is fine now.

I've been meaning to tell you how much I like your new template. Okay, I finally have. ;-) It really looks great.
from princesse69 :
a vistoria sponge is a basic cake but with jam or cream sandwiched in the middle. you probably call them something different in the US

from hobbstweedle :
Thank you so much for the encouragement and support, Sweetie! It's going to get better soon, right?!! By the way, Bruce told me about your alpaca experience! WOW!!
from yarnsmith :
My Grandma hired a guy who just came to the door once to shovel snow. While she was getting the money for him in another room, he ripped off some stuff she had in the room she left him alone in. You can understand people who need work, but often this bold and brazen people who just invite themselves on your property are trouble.
from catsoul :
You can't change your illness, he needs to accept that and who you are. Think about being mentally and physically healthy. Look at the big picture and your future happiness. Do you know what you even want?

Vertigo, from what I understand, is a swelling of the innner ear. So I guess it could triggered by changes in the weather. The doctor told me that it can be triggered by headaches, colds, flu, and infections also. So basically anything.

awesome cow banner! Loved your layout too.
from catsoul :
Hey, remember the game paper covers rock. Well nine days of rain sure bets five days of so thick fog you wonder where you are when driving. Yeah, what better thing to do on a Saturday than suck up the water with a shop vac. I live on a tiny island. The channel that connects to the lake and then the river in the spring rises so much in the thaw. The rivers from the north make it close to flooding every year. You have to love the water. It is a beautiful place to live even with the exceptions. Sounds like you have a lovely place. I wrote a poem about the woods here on the island. I will have to find it and post it in an entry for you. Anyway, take care, "sucking up" the water that is!! :)

hi thanks for your note. its been so hard to get time to update and catch up with every one. lifes very hectic with two little ones. Hope you and your family are ok.
from catsoul :
Hey There, Isn't it great just to purge those nasty feelings! I have a mantra or whatever you want to call it, that I wrote for myself about 5 years ago when I began having difficulties with my son. It goes like this: "to let go; you need to give up control." It has helped so much to realize that you can't be all and do all for everyone and that they shouldn't expect you to. So on that note, glad you let your hair down. :)
from empty-beauty :
Hi thankyou. And yea my birthday is in January, plus I love the weather, too. <3Kara
from f-i-n :
that picture of all the identical dogs is kind of spooky...
from allegedwife :
The law making docking of all lambs compulsory is because of the horrific fly strike problems we have here. Sheep are pretty much left to their own devises for much of the year (some of our farms are measured in square miles instead of acres because they are so bloody big and constant tending of the herds just can't happen). Sheep with tails collect dags and are an easy target for blowflies, so all lambs must be docked within 3 months of birth.
from momma-zoe :
Yes, I did indeed get it from Hot Topic! I'm glad you approve! :)
from just2cusmile :
thats one of the reasons I quit going to church too-nosey people who do no wrong but thier lives are usually more screwed up then anybodys...I dont need to go to church to hear someone elses preach thier believes about God to me when i can read and learn everything I need to know about our wonderful God!!! God knows where my family stands with him and we feel very good about it!!! Now about Karen~she has crossed the line bigtime in my book-not only has she broke her trust but she has done it with your son~thats just wrong and sad...Im sorry your going thru all of this-hope better days are coming for you...
from just2cusmile :
awww your boys/men ;) are so cute and isnt it amazing 2 kids that come out of the same womb can be so different?! I use to take pictures on the first day too until they hit middle school and they wouldnt do it anymore-yours listen much better!!
from simplify :
First of all, I'm glad that you left your message about balance. Secondly, I think that your definition of balance is a unique one because you see it as something fluid and ever changing, yet it's really not. It's about equality. Your point of view is the healthy one because it recogonizes how life changes and how our job is not to lament the changes or the choices we've made, but to make new choices that maximize our happiness.
from bitterwineuk :
theres nothing like a good open air concert in the summer to make you feel good and husbands dont dance cos they dont know how to. hahahaha. as for kids dancing, Matthew doesn't stop. He does a sway sort of thing where his shoulders nearly turn 360 degrees and a "bounce" to the music too. I love to see kids enjoying themselves. Have a good week. Becca
from just2cusmile :
but ohhhh-i did get my share of man-hormones tonight during the football game on tv-we had a house full over...i need calgon too....

from just2cusmile :
nice new car~we bought our oldest sons truck from an old man 2 years ago and it was a 87 ford ranger extended cab and only had 80,000 miles on it-great shape and cost $1000.00 it was a good deal-them old folks take care of their cars...lol...i made a mistake-my dr.appt.is friday not thursday...
from just2cusmile :
its always something isnt it?! every red light on our dashboard is pretty much lite up-of coarse its a FORD(Found On Road Dead) lol-so what kind of car did you get,how did you get your haircut-do you like it-i need new glasses too!!! grrrrrr THANK YOU SO MUCH for the email the other day-very sweet-im trying to email you back but my yahoo isnt working-grrrrr lol
from simplify :
It doesn't surprise me that you hear your kids and their friends having good conversations, I've met lots of stellar teenagers. These kids on this show are just ridiculously stupid. I keep thinking they can't really be THAT stupid, but then it turns out they are and it's sad. Silliness I love. Silliness makes sense to me. Using the word like every other word and saying you know every fourth word...that's a whole other thing.
from bitterwineuk :
thank you very much for that. Hope you and your family are all having a wonderful summer. Take care. Becca
from just2cusmile :
oh its all of us-lol-you'll see if you read my diary!! :) and i have a "LANCE ARMSTRONG(wanna be)" husband too!! lol Im about to wring my YS neck and everything in between...so is your camera a digital camera? We use to have a really nice minolta with extra lens and it took great pictures until my husband dropped it!! grrrrr
from momma-zoe :
Huh. So I'm not the only one having children issues today! Well I guess you and I shall go bald and gray together!! hehe
from just2cusmile :
Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog spot journal-i wish i still had that smile-its erased in years!! love the recent pictures-what kind of camera do you use?
from malthus :
Do you want me to delete that note from my notes section? There's some very personal information there.
from malthus :
You and I have similar experiences in regard to the circumstances you mentioned. I'm sorry to hear that you have these scars, it's my experience that they never truely heal. Forgiveness these [extreme] cases is tempered by wisdom and caution for sure. Like I said...grey area...everything is not black and white.
from simplify :
I hope we can swing paying someone to do the wood floors because I know that's going to be SO MUCH EASIER and undoubtedly the floors will come out SO MUCH BETTER. Right now it feels like money is just flying out the window.
from malthus :
Agreed, but if you CHOOSE to forgive, you're doing so for a good reason and why not go all the way? Why hold out? If you're not going to forget, then why forgive at all? It winds and twists and is difficult to nail down, because there can be lots of grey area though.
from sensualistic :
Both actually. Born on the 2nd and much rather prefer the colder (Canadian at that) weather!
from just2cusmile :
we're bad parents too-lol-we tried the crate and he cried worse then a newborn and we had to get some sleep and that was 7 years ago-now i cant sleep if he's not in bed with us!! :) I have my pictures taken just like you!! :)~
from skibigsky :
I seem to have issues posting to comments today (dunno why...), so I'm posting here... *sigh. I am a bad doggie-mother. I let my kids (all three of them) sleep in the bed (although they get evicted if we want to do something other than sleep), and I take them out at 3am (but mostly because my daughter is an old lady (she's 14), and her bladder doesn't hold out all night). Yeah, they've got me wrapped, but on the other hand, they can generally be expected to act somewhat civilly when then are tended by others.... (But yeah. I'm totally whipped!) And I like the picture of the son with the book - just because it reminds me of many years ago, when my parents wanted to ask my siblings and myself to do some chores, but we were all sitting around reading, and they couldn't bring themselves to break the scene!
from just2cusmile :
trust me~i know what your body feels like-im going thru the same thing this week!! fun to be us huh?! lol could be worse,i always have to remind myself!!! loved the markings on the cute lil goat!! feel better soon...
from just2cusmile :
glad to you see you updated-always love reading your story's...i think our oldest sons were made from the same mold-book smart but dumb as a rock at times!!! lol im sorry to hear about what your friend karen did-that sucks!! and i hope your mom didnt hurt her hoochie when she took a tumble~lol~your right, summer is going bye way too fast and congrats on your 1000 miles-good for you-give me a good kick in the rear to get me started!!
from momma-zoe :
Thank you Yvonne so much for the e-card. I am sorry I forgot to tell you thank you when I got it, my brain has been more scattered than ever before. But it made my day, it truely did. I'm so blessed that your in my life
from zitagsd :
I just happened onto you diary. Your photos are amazing.
from onewetleg :
thanks! the photographer was excellent, wasn't she? love, jj
from july28 :
Thank you for the birthday greetings....you are indeed the first on Diaryland to notice! Tomorrow will be a bit strange though as I got most of the pressies from my family when I was doing the visiting rounds on holiday, so nothing much to open, but I did buy myself one of those nicely wrapped multiple item birthday boxes at LUSH yesterday to make up for it! Hope all's well, xxxxxxxx
from pyromagik :
AWWW!!! The puppies are sooo cute! I hope your examinations go well, and you make your goal of 1,000 miles! And I do hope that Andrew gets the comments glitch fixed, for his own sake if anything! *hugs* Adieu! ~*~
from golfwidow :
Love the "stressed banner." And according to News, Andrew is fixing the spam in the comments.
from cruel-irony :
Congratulations on the official photographer gig! How exciting. You take such wonderful photos - love the pictures of the collies - and what a wonderful way to share that talent with other people. Sounds like you're going to be busy.
from princessreva :
I sooo feel the smae way about Andrew and the comments! I'm so tired of dealing with the no responses that I'm alllmost thinking of jumping ship, but I've been here for 5 yeras and I'm a little attatched, I guess. I've started using Flikr for my pictures, and I think it's going well so far. Beautiful photos, by the way! I'm in a band called the Border Collies and I've started to develop an eye for 'em - well, I can appreciate them anyway:)
from bettyalready :
I'm glad you're still writing too and can't wait till Spritopher gets back to Connecticut

those goats really are photogenic!
from sunnflower :
Hi hon. I really love reading your entries and your photos are always top notch. I miss having you write here regularly but I also understand needing a break. I'm not surprised about the treasurer thing. Some of these other parents need to step up to the plate. Hugs to you!
from darcy-farrow :
Welcome back! It seemed like forever. Leave it to you to give us such gorgeous pictures! xoxox Darcy
from l-empress :
So glad to see you back. What lovely dogs!
from golfwidow :
Woman, have I missed you.
from just2cusmile :
awww the puppy was so cute!!! glad to see you back on DL-you were missed!! sounds like you have had your hands full and you need a break and all of August off for sure-make yourself do it!! :) hope all turns out well with your health issues. write more often!!
from skibigsky :
Awww... A border collie wouldn't fit our lifestyle (we don't spend enough time in vigorous activity in the winter to have one), but boy, those puppies were cute... As for hosting pictures, ahve you tried photoreflect.com? They will help you set up a store-front, and only take money when you sell stuff. You can also work with online developers, to print ans ship the stuff, if you like.
from simplify :
I don't know how you resisted a puppy... Have you given any thought to Flickr? It's also free, although there is a limit to how many photos you can upload each month, for unlimited usage it's something like 25 bucks a year. It's extremely easy to use and there's a very nice community there. I was thinking of you today, so I'm glad you updated.
from breathtaken1 :
I love your template!! That picture is the cutest! Haloscan comments work great, are free and don't get spammed! Those pictures of the collies are wonderful...I want one of those puppies. We had a collie, and a sheltie, and I always swore if we ever got another dog, it would be a border collie. Glad you are back, and great job on the walking.
from july28 :
Gosh, good luck with that pix assignment..it sounds awesome! xxxxx
from breathtaken1 :
Oh no. You finally update and you are locked! If you are handing out passwords, may I have one please! If not, I understand. Hope you are okay.
from allegedwife :
I miss your updates, hope you can bring us all up-to-date again soon
from momma-zoe :
Hey, I Hope your doing ok. I've been worried about you. 19 days and no Forty Plus is starting to stress me!!!
from bitterwineuk :
Thank you for yur note. Hope you and all your family are doing well. Missing the updates though. Take care. Becca
from emotronic :
no problem:) have a nice day.. even though it's kind of raining and stuff. (atleast it is in ny.)
from some-trouble :
Hi Yvonne, thank you for the note - as you know, I live in London so these bombings have completely shocked and dazed me and almost everyone around me. Thankfully nobody close to me was hurt. It's times like this when you really appreciate the little things in life you know??? Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to write to me - I hope that you and all your family are well too. I miss reading your diary everyday :o( [Hug] XXXXX
from bitterwineuk :
Missing you Yvonne but glad to hear your sons are doing so well. Becca
from just2cusmile :
glad you updated us Yvonne on how your doing! LOVEDD the picture of the sheep with their lil heads turned-those dogs are so smart when they do that! Sorry to hear about your friend Karen losing her job-that is so tough to go thru and i feel for her but im glad she does have place to stay and maybe she should enjoy her summer off,who knows when she might have that chance again and tell her not to give up on finding love!! :)
from bettyalready :
And it's none of my fucking business. I come across sounding a way I don't mean to come across. I just wish people were considerate at times like these.
from bettyalready :
Ugh. I'm mad reading it all over again. She's not even considering you on this. Just expects it without your thoughts or feelings.
from bettyalready :
While I had on my pink gloves, washing dishes, I gave much thought to your mother in law wanting you to have her animal put down. You may have done it before. You may have handled it before. But part of taking on a companion animal is knowing that someday you and the animal will part. She's not willing to do the "dirty work" herself but it more than willing to have you do it? Why is that? I am with your husband on this. It's hard even when it's not your animal. I put down a stray cat, the most beautiful cat in the world and bawled like a baby. She had feline aids. I just really hope that you decide against it. For your sanity and for your health.

i love to change my picture. i think you are the only soul who reads my journal which is fine by me. did you ever read my comments? my old friend meredith left me these comments in response to what i said about youssef and me wanting to think i'm special. i did not know what to think of what she said. so i wrote back to her and haven't heard from her since. so, i'd rather just have a less judgmental friend reading me. i love that you update as often as you do because i'm always checking. love claire

love the shin bruises~girls kick ass in sports and then look darn cute showing off thier bruises in cute lil skirts!! we rule!! :) I love the game of baseball but i always hated it when my boys played just because of what happened to your son~ouch~i really hated it cause they always seemed to get the crappy a-hole coaches that were bitter cause they sucked at the game and never made it in the big leagues or high school for that matter!! ;) lol

Thank you for the note! It's a good day. They are together and happy. I was a big-time daddy's girl, my kids were VERY close to him, and we miss him very very much. Belle too...we had her for exactly half of my life.

I will definitely post pix of my 'project' when it's done! I'm totally into the whole subject of painting just now, it's the best 'feel good' thing! xxxxxx

Oh thank you for your concern, but my hearat is going to be fine. It is just a distraction. Truly, I am (most of the time) happily married, and it is my husband who really has my heart. If I were not married, however, the friend could definitely be a danger, however. I don't think I could ever step all the way over "that line," and actually, I don't think he could either.
from july28 :
all commissioned, mostly newspaper stuff at the moment. There's a guy who lives a couple of farms up who does wildlife pix for a living - I think he's more into the actual art of it than the money, but he looks like he makes plenty. Another one I know markets the whole wildlife photos thing as a business - he brings in people from all over the world to stay in his spare cabin for a week at a time and takes them all over the area photographing deer , badgers, eagles and such like. Brilliant business idea, I think.
from july28 :
I know , your pics are beautiful, even though I work at it for a living I find it hard to just 'catch the right moment' with animals. I think you either have that or you don't. I can't shake off the feeling I had in the dream though...it was fantastic! Hope you're feeling a bit better, although it will just be a day at a time. A collie ran across from it's mistress to me this afternoon ,jumped into my car and just sat there, waiting to come home with me... (in the driver's seat) it was so funny, she really had to drag it out! It made me think immediately of Jax with the big soulful eyes. xxxxxx

Hang in there and when you are ready, get a puppy. They don't replace your loss, but you are so busy cleaning up pee and poop that you don't have time to cry.
from just2cusmile :

I'm so sorry about your lil Jax. I always offer up this simple prayer that I'll share with you: Dear Father hear and bless, they beasts and singing birds, and guard with tenderness, small things that have no words. Sorry about my disappearing act. It's too complicated to go into... so I won't. I won't get to update real often, but I'll try to be in touch more often.

hi, i'd be so angry if my mom did that to me because it seems to be very inconsiderate. things should always always be fair, equal among siblings and family members. well, i just felt for you, i wish she had saved your things too.
from bitchslap69 :
hey honey - sorry you are going through some rough spots. i wish you strength and serenity when you're feeling low.
from vickithecute :
Yep, in Richmond. I've been at least 30 times and I highly recommend it. This most recent visit actually left a lot to be desired (rides not operatiing, VERY slow service for food) but I chalk that up to the fact that they've only been open for a few weeks and they're still performing some ride maintenance and training their concession staff. Later in the season will be much better (although I do strongly recommend a weekday as opposed to weekend) If you guys are theme park nuts, I would suggest, since you'll be in the area anyway, that you visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg as well. (That's how my folks always did it when I was a kid. We'd drive down Saturday ('bout two hours) and spend the day at KD, stay at a hotel Sat. night and spend Sunday at BGW before driving back Sunday night. Whew, tires me out just thinking about it)
from simplify :
you know, i think there are times that we all suck the people around us dry, but i tend to think if you're aware of that tendency then you probably don't do it very often. my two friends are completley unaware of their ability to wear a person out. although, they are both hyper aware of the OTHER one's ability to wear a person out. which, that's hilarious, no?
from just2cusmile :
girllll~you always make me feel better when you post in my diary-I know im new to your diary but im so glad I found it!! :) I've said it before but I need to say it again~your pictures are AWESOME!!! And im sorry you'll never hear those words from your parents and if they did say them it would probably be just to say them to get it over with and have no meaning in them which would still hurt as if you never heard them at all...But guess what-it sounds like you are the winner here, you became the better person and it sounds like you have a great family,be sooo proud of that!! Just a lil note-i think we have the same younger son too-i swear mine hates me at times and he is a moody lil shit but lord does he need me too,he just has a different way of showing his love and i guess i just have to put up with it cause he's too big to spank!! lol you hang in there too and i feel for your back after washing your dogs!!!! Patti
from treedreams :
You have such a wonderful connection to animals and you were homesick for your own critters. I do understand how you feel. I felt very honored when I reached out and touched the wolf and wolfdogs. And when I was a cat socializer at the Oakland SPCA, I always felt lucky that they would let me come in and work with the animals. I feel the same connection when I'm outside around trees and observing nature. My favorite walk in Oakland was the stream trail in Redwood Regional Park in the Oakland hills. I never walked that trail without feeling an overwhelming sense of awe and privilege.
from treedreams :
The wolves' fur was softer than I expected; I had thought it would be more coarse. These ambassadors are fine, fine animals. It was such a treat to see them. I'm glad you had such a fabulous vacation!

firstly, i'm sorry for waxing poetic about my beautiful springy weather when you have none. secondly, that couch! i know it's horribly impractical (i may not have two teenaged sons with friends, but andy and i are plenty messy) because it's white, but it's so pretty! and when i see it, i just want to color it in.

Oh and I forgot to mention...OS's due date, 12-10, that is my Husband's bday. It is like you are my sould mate or something. haha. Isn't it funny how, no matter how old the kids get, we never tire of talking about the pregnancy/delivery/etc?
from breathtaken1 :
Oh my gosh...that is amazing that they were so late...both of them! Nice and cozy in there no doubt. I thought my oldest was big at 8 lbs 12 oz -- that is until I had the little one, who weighed in just grams under 11 pounds. It was like taking a 3 month old home from the hospital. Truly amazing having a baby that big. All three of mine were c sections though, so at least that!
from breathtaken1 :
Hey, I just saw your family page with pictures (very cute) etc. I just had to tell you that your OS shares a bday with my mom and he is 12 days older than my daughter. That was so close I just had to mention it. Hey, wasn't it great being that pregnant at Christmas time :) ??

thank you for your note. when is your mothers day then? i admit i am rather ignorant of what happens in other countries and when they have their special days. i think we all are. i don't even know when you celebrate thanksgiving as we don't have that over here but it sounds bigger to you than xmas. am i right thinking it's around the end of november? it's usually past before i notice and only have movies to go by. hahaha. they are educational. it's our fathers day on june 14th too. (i think it's that date or very near that this year, it's always the 2nd Sunday in June in the UK) anyway take care. Becca

Hi! Found my way here through catie...just wanted to comment that I have a 14 1/2 year old who is also very moody and who hurts my feelings often. He's rude to me, to his dad, very dismissive - but I feel better when my husband and I acknowledge it and tell each other we are outraged at how badly we suck as parents and as human beings. We're just the worst. Heh. We often walk on eggshells around him. That kind of behavior from a 14 year old toward a loving parent is ludicrous. I suspect it's normal. At least that's our story here.

THANKS so much for ALL your kind notes. I have that choking feeling in my throat again and I fianally realized what it is. Trying so hold to hold back tears. Giving up is actually a relief and I only wish my Ex the best. I want to move on. Sincerely I do. Thanks again for your kindness.

Hey there, I joined your Singing In The Car ring! Nothing beats a great round of in-car karoke :)
from livesand :
Yeah, you may be right. The science is easy, the challenge is traffic direction in these big classes.
from enigma104 :
Ohmygoodness.. I should start with a TOTALLY belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY! since I missed it :/ I'm sorry, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY! My dad didn't say a whole lot, he just let me get everything out of my system. He did say that what mom and Bob did was out of line, and that I didn't do anything wrong. Which helped, but it wasn't from the people I needed to hear it from(Mom and Bob). But it's over now, and Mom and Bob are acting as if nothing happend, which is probably for the best. And.. I hope everything is going well on your end :) Cheers

RE: nEo, It is not 'light hearted teasing' he's the one who threatened to put a billboard up on the Merritt Parkway with my face on it becuase he can slander me on his page, but I can't say he has an ugly template or boring content.
from spritopias :
You never know when you accidentally offend someone, and when I offend people I do it *well,* However, when I MEAN to offend someone they never catch on. Frustrating! ;-)
from spritopias :
I wasn't talking about your family! Kipp and I have a friend with a tragic looking family and they remind us of goats.
from bitchslap69 :
hey thanks for the recent messages and for adding me to your buddy list. it's cool knowing there are other "animal nuts" out there, b/c most of my friends think i'm a little too-into my dogs, but what do they know, right?
from spritopias :
I live in the school so it is just a matter of walking down the steps, going down the hallway and up a couple more stairs. Last winter I went TWO WEEKS without leaving the building. Sam's Club + Shelf Life Milk = Cabin Fever
from spritopias :
I will let her know the next time I talk to her! She sounded so happy on the phone.
from vickithecute :
Oh dear...you were holding him the whole time? That DOES take the cake...although I can ALMOST match that - I "lost" my daughter once only to find I was pushing her in her stroller the whole time
from criminal-- :
Yes! that's it. Thank you so much, I've been trying to get alot of information about it. Thank you so much. I also have colon tumor in my galbaladder, its very small but it grows slowly though and I'm on the waiting list.=/ So I don't know but pray?
from mom-on-roof :
YES, please. (to the just-gals long weekend)
from spritopias :
Everyone else who has heard that has been hyper-critical - border line nasty about it, Starting a conversation or comment with "are you stupid" almost always cements what I am doing in my mind.
from spritopias :
please don't be mad at me :-(
from spritopias :
I am doing Atkins (my doctor was in on this) because of the diabetes in my family and my own need to drop pounds because it would soon start to complicate my arthritis. If followed, it is not that bad for you - if you do it right. I am not gung ho on bacon, I would hate for my house to smell like that!
from spritopias :
I am having tea, it's on my diet. I am really amazed at how well this diet has made me feel, so soon. I think it is just the hopefulness that it will work and the good vibe from trying something new.
from cinnamon1j :
Thank you
from dollyllama :
you're right, of course. I will tell my dad. Thank you for pointing out to me that I have a say in what happens to my daughter!
from princesse69 :
I am quite surprised how long the card took to reach you. I got yours on Christmas Eve-i love your handwriting by the way-it's gorgeous. Hope you had a great holiday with your husband and boys. Love Sharon
from jyram :
Happy Birthday! My birthday is January 11th. I didn't get one single "combo-present" this year, so I'm looking forward to genuine birthday gifts. Have a great day! :-)

Hi Yvonne, Thank you for your notes following my Aunts death. Your kindness means more to me than I can put into words. I've just been catching up with your diary and I'm sorry to hear that both your sons are sick - I hope they feel much better soon. I'm also another person who loves looking at the photos you post, it looks like you live in a very beautiful part of the world. XXXXX
from cinamonjaide :
OMG! I am so sorry both your sons are sick. That is so stressful, I cant even imagine it. Who ares if they were 35, they are still your babies, and it interupts your sleep. Poor you! Hope everyone gets better soon
from enigma104 :
The pictures are so great, and you've got snow! It snowed here on Christmas Eve-Eve, but it melted a few hours later, and now it's 65 outside :/. Ah well. Sorry to hear OS is sick, my sister had a stomach virus, but it didn't last too long, so best wishes to him :)
from cinamonjaide :
beautiful pics!!! Sorry about your son being sick. I am too

Hi Since you are on my buddy list, I figured I would give you the link to my message board community. It's a laid back place with a few online friends. You are welcomed to join if you want. If not, that's fine, but I wanted to extend the invitation and let you know you would be welcomed. Here is the addy: http://groups.msn.com/ShovemeintheshallowwaterbeforeIgettoodeep
from princesse69 :
Have you received my card in the post yet? I hope it arrives in time! Hope you and your family have a merry Christmas and a happy new year x x x
from boxx9000 :
I am so shocked that the mother encouraged her daughter to ask (and accept) such an expensive gift from a boy. Unless we are talking about families with so much money that $150 is pocket change? Doesn't accepting such a gift imply something? I guess 14 isn't 14 anymore. Your Christmas card arrived today with all the cute puppies. Thanks so much.
from livesand :
I keep steady current in my 130 gal. tank with a hanging Marineland H.O.T. Magnum filter, and close to it, on the bottom, a small powerhead anchored in a hollow pile of rocks. So the back of the tank, from right to left, has about a 12 knot current going, which returns along the front of the tank and in the far right corner of the tank leaves an area of fairly quiet water with plants. Different fish in the tank prefer distinct microenvironments; my blacktail and alabama shiners love the fastest current, the logperch darters play around in it on the bottom, a smaller Sipsey darter stays out in the well-lit slower current, and four blackstriped topminnows hang at the surface in areas of slower current. So everybody's happy, esp. when I throw in black worms or earthworms.
from moee :
Thanks for the kind words. I love having you in my life. You are a GREAT person!!!!!!
from dcalienz :
I missed you Yvonne. hugs
from ruthiebat :
Thank you so much for that "Mommy finger"!! It's actually helping - I was tempted to skip lunch today but I thought of you and laughed and went and made myself a sandwich!! Seriously, keeping a food log has helped immensely - I really think about what I am eating, and it's shocking that I have let it get to such a state. I used to be much better - it's just been in the last few months I have gotten soooooo bad. You had asked about vegetarianism - I actually think my illness got markedly better when I stopped eating meat. Now, if I can teach myself to eat something else I'll be all set!!

My Oldest Son (who is 7) is *deathly* afraid of bugs. I'll have to use that bug trick the next time he has his little attitude with me. Then again, I might traumatize him for the rest of his life if I do that! :P
from laila726 :
Awww! What a sweetheart. I always complain about how my honey used to be so sweet when we met almost 12 years ago and alot of that has withered away over the years, but boy when he flips that creative switch in his head... WATCH OUT! They may get on our nerves sometimes, but deep down we love them to death and can't imagine life without them. ;)
from yarnsmith :
Men...just when you think you've had enough of them, they do something so darned sweet. Yep...you got a keeper. Good thing too since you've already kept him 23 years.
from cinnamon1j :
I hate having no money. I know the feeling. I had 20 bucks the other day, and it felt like I hit the lottery
from laila726 :
OH... MY... GOD. F*cking talk radio?!!? I *HATE* talk radio! Why is it when I get into MY car after my husband has been in it, the talk radio station is on?!? Oh I'm so glad to know someone that shares my pain! Bless you, Yvonne!
from shortst101 :
Thank you Yvonne....and also I just saw what you said about me in your profile and thank you for that as well.
from spritopias :
RE: your comment. I like pretzles and celery, not together and celery more than pretzles but celery needs to be prepared and so I usually have a pretzel. :-(
from purple-momma :
Hello! I found you through . . . well, I don't remember who's diary. Anyway, love your writing, pictures, and the lay-out! I am not too great on the "puter" -- know enough to get me in trouble! So, mine is plain. Just stopped to say Hi!
from alwaysange :
I'm glad you liked the email. I thought it was really touching. Hallmarky. My mom is doing a lot better, thanks for asking. She may be going back to work next week even. I hope she doesn't overdo it. But all in all, an amazing recovery is well underway.
from cinnamon1j :
I had to lock my other diary because my husband discovered it. I made this other diary in addition to the locked one. Please add me.

In your live journal you had mentioned Hubby's snoring - Bruce used to snore like that, too!! There is an answer - I don't know if you have ever heard of a CPAP machine, but Bruce uses one and it is a miracle. Some nights I worry that he isn't actually breathing because I can't hear a thing!! When I think of how many sleepless nights I spent before he got it....grrrrrr.....Anyway, if you need more info, email me! [email protected]
from cinamonjaide :
A new journal for your wellness campaign would be great! I will follow along and share notes. I need all the help I can get

This is my online photo album, I will add new pics shortly. http://cinnamoncreme.yafro.com/
from cinamonjaide :
I wrote this in one of my entries, but in case you didnt see it, since I wrote ALOT today.. Here is my info Here are my measurements: Measurements including: neck : 12 upper arm/bicep-fullest 11 1/4 three measurements at breast: upper, 34 1/2 middle-fullest 36, under-directly on the ribs 30 waist-smallest 28 1/2 abdomen-fullest between pelvic bone and waist 32 hips-fullest with buns 43 1/2 thighs-saddlebag area 25 thigh-fullest right and left 24 calf-fullest right and left 14 1/2 C. Weight - include time of day and relation to my period (two or three days after is a good time to weigh myself) I weighed myself this morning. I still have my period and I was 148.
from skibigsky :
Yaeh, supposedly Neurontin doesn't cause weight gain, but I've talked with a few people who have used it, and the general concensus is that it seems to (it sure did with Mr. V.). Still, I've found a list of other meds that have been successful for people with bipolar disorder, and I'm going to talk to the MD about them on Monday, to see if we can find him something that will work (lithium is okay, but not spectacular....). Still. Rough times. But under it all, he's a good guy, and we'll get through it. Thanks for your vote of encouragement.
from moee :
Thankyou SOOOO much! I will start everything today. I am so happy to have some help. If I try to do it by myself I loose my ambition.
from cinamonjaide :
Oh yeah I will take my measurements and post them in my journal I have no shame. You can peek to compare them with yours. I bet my thighs and hips will be way bigger than yours. But it's funny I still look decent. I wish I could post my pic here, but it wont allow me too. Maybe I will try on live journal
from cinamonjaide :
Sounds like a great plan!!! I need a kick in the ass to get in better shape. I have so much ambition, and then it dwindles. I will grab support and information wherever I can get it.
from enigma104 :
Hi! I am *this* close to being finished reading all of the entries I missed, but I wanted to tell you that you're awesome :) Cheers!
from moee :
Sweety, do you have any buttons for forty-plus!
from myhappiness :
woo..thats a lot of diaryrings!
from yarnsmith :
I worried about her too and almost volunteered to help her. One thing stopped me. She lives over an hour away from me and I do have my own old folks to care for and I guess I was worried that helping her once would lead to more and I would be traveling back and forth to help this crotchety old woman who probably doesn't have her own help because of her crochetyness over all her years. Lets face it...if a mean nasty young person lives long enough...they become mean nasty old people who have no one willing to help them...I guess If she lived in town here it wouldn't be a big deal....you just wonder...how someone ends up 95 and all alone.
from criminal-- :
thank you for your kindness. it means alot to me and I've been thinking about you lately, =D thank you again. ♥
from pinkerton214 :
eeep! You're kidding me? That's amazing... And do you want to know the weird part? I was just on your mini cooper page without knowing it. I looked for MINI pictures and such and a list of mini cooper owners at cardomain.com came up and I was just reading the note you posted as that page was loading. Talk about weird, eh? But, whoa. I love your car! I took one for a test drive on Wednesday (dec.1st) and it was amazing. I would be getting a mini cooper (not s because I can't and don't want to drive standard...) in electric blue (sky blue). I already burned a cd of songs that will go in the cd player when I get my mini. I can't wait. Mini's rock!!! K eep up the awesomely awesome work on your mini -- props out to your husband and your son -- it looks amazing. *woot woot* Have a great day!
from yarnsmith :
I always sing at the top of my lungs in the car. I don't know if that is insane or healthy but it sure is fun.
from cinamonjaide :
Glad you enjoyed your hot tub! I did the name thing, that was fun. I looked at your pics, you have a nice looking family and you are gorgeous. Are you still that skinny as you were when you got married?

I think that it is more that no one with the proper authority WILL help that lady. My next step is to go to the Village Board Meeting. It is televised and I don't want to be on TV, but something tells me that if I ask that something be done in front of the whole village (most people watch these)....I will embarrase them into doing something. I'll get that poor lady out of the woods yet.
from emeraldjaide :
I browsed through your journal and checked out the live journal one too. I also have one there I just started http://www.livejournal.com/users/cinnamoncreme/ Hope you feel better

I hate cashiers as the one you described. So many of them do no take their job seriously. I hate when they talk with their friends about the party they went to or something lame like that.
from fuzzmom :
Surfactants, that should be. Not only am I a nerd, I'm a nerd who makes typos. Whee!
from fuzzmom :
Hi sweetie! Yes, I wash with conditioner. You have to leave it on a loonnng time though, or else the surfectants don't have a chance to kick in and dissolve the oil on your scalp. Also, it may take up to a couple of weeks for your scalp to get used to it. You can find a LOT of information here: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=9367
from yarnsmith :
I renovated a bathroom myself...the whole thing. Regrout tile, a new Armstrong Ceiling, painted the vanity, painted the walls, hung all new hardware, patched a big hole in the wall, and scraped up the old floor and put in a new...took 16 weeks...It did me in. Cost about 500.00. I wasn't able to pick up a paint brush for another year...but boy..it looks goooood.
from shortst101 :
Yvonne...I want to tell you thank you for always having a kind word, for having a caring attitude and for being a wonderful person. I am truly thankful to know you. I wish we knew each other better.

Yeah, let's dance! Those handsome pictures make me want to put on some good ol' rock and roll and boogie. Now those kids know how to dance, don't they. I was NEVER that coordinated. If that's your son, he's ... well, since you're his mother, I won't call him "hot" but you better watch out. (I have a (hunky) son like that too). Have a wonderful week. I'll be cooking and cooking and cooking...

Parents moving... hummmm... that could be a good thing, until they get really old and need you to move them back or you move where they are to take care of them. (my life). Sorry about your road trip. We take them even in the rain, sometimes get some extraordinary rain photos. Maybe today will be better

Between the baseball playoffs and the election this past month has been more and more full of contention and gratuitous pissiness. At the very least I've never disliked Yankees fans who are from greater NYC, I know the Yankees are the home team. The Yankees as an institution is another story... I'm sorry you had to deal with random crapola.

Yep, especially the January sunshine. Very refreshing after all the storms.

Sadly, they didn't transfer my membership. I just opened a new account and posted a message at the old one that I wasn't using it anymore. I did email them and they answered and they were nice and all, but they said they had no mechanism for actually closing an account and transferring credit over, at least not at that time. Bummer.
from princesse69 :
Gorgeous shots of gorgeous horses. What camera do you use? Your photos always look so amazing and professional. Love Sharon x

Hey, I really like your new page, name and site. I'll have to change you on my page of favorites to "forty-plus" ~~ Aren't kids wonderfully funny? My oldest son used to go out wearing every cologne known to teens. My husband would say, "you smell like a French whore." Thankfully, if he did anything illegal, he never got caught. I can only hope he didn't. At least now he's a responsible husband and father. Your entry brought back memories. Thanks for the laugh.
