idk, if you have a credit card ordering physical media from the internet (various independent record labels or amazon) ain't so bad. i do it rather regularly. but i don't suppose it is in equal ratio to how much i've plundered, at it might be viewed by a certain RIAA. ;)

The peace corps process sounds intense and as opaque as usual. I've always been a little mystified by the secrecy, but I suppose it prevents people from cherry-picking the 'fun' spots and leaving the places that already suck to continue... sucking. A friend of mine just learned that she'll be leaving for Kyrgyzstan as soon as her health check-ups are done - living in a yurt for two years, and presumably bearing the light of civilized vowel-use, sound like less fun than some of the alternatives, but she seems happy with it.<p><p>Hope you end up somewhere that feels right. :)

Hey, the whole Hitler thing is actually a bit contradictory. He - with his Austrian origin- managed to manipulate the masses. Ultimate cruelty and roughly six million deaths resulted from that. However, where starts national identity? My forefathers came from Poland fleeing from WW 2, but also had to fight in it. Does it make them bad people? Maybe. Does it make us bad people, one of the following generations? No. I think we should be judged by our own actions. Hey hey, it's not my fault your shower is crap. Every other shower I've ever seen in Germany was just like the american ones. I hear you on the pants, though. The fact is there aren't many overweight people, especially women, in Germany. I feel like a beached whale there sometimes, but it is my home. I didn't try on pants at my last visit, but I did buy some in Denmark on the visit before and did okay. But then, they had an elastic band. Hah. And from my experience, and for real size equality, you'd need to go to a speciality store to get anything above a size 10 or 11 or so. Sigh, groan, woe is being fat in europe.
