That's kind of a funny coincedence!! :D Well, that's good because when my mum had a friend in the military who was in active duty during the eruption and she was from our state, and she was on the East Coast at the time, so they told her that the mountain had erupted and the entire state was devastated - sort of like a nuclear bomb being dropped and the place being leveled. In reality, that was hardly true - just tons and tons of ash for years to come!

Wow! I'm not REALLY surprised, but it's still kind of weird! They keep saying it's just dome-building, yet the media is making a HUGE deal out of the whole thing! Yeah, there might be a "big" eruption, but they say it's not going to be like May 18, 1980. I don't know what they tell you guys over there... but I know the media really blows things out of proportion!
