my name? it came from my first e-mail address... my mam suggested it. ash came from my name, aisling. it's pronounced like 'ashling'. nothing too exciting. it means 'dream/vision'. it's irish. my mam suggested the whole name four years ago when i was trying to think of somethin original for an email addy. bet it was more exciting when you didn't know. loved your entries. i added you

What a thorny subject. But I do think that we can attempt to be so bold as to say when life begins. Science arms us with good tools for such discrimination. If brainwaves are present doesn't this speak of awareness? Brainwaves are detectable within the first month. One of my friends put it best: shouldn't we try to err on the side of caution? Aren't a person's intentions in the end irrelevant?

i would try to say something that hasn't been said before about love and how its great and wonderful and will fuck up your life and good luck with all that, but i'm far too tired to even try. i liked your entry about the age at which kids decide whether to love or be loved. that made me think. take care.

why on earth, indeed. 9 hours from home in a freezing town the size of a postage stamp. my only justification is that the photojournalism program here is #2 in the country, and i liked the idea of going to ohio better than going to kentucky, which is where the #1 school is. you have fun staying warm in south florida.

at this point i've had to choose between the music and the photography. i live the music when i'm home and the photography when at school, because thats what i'm studying. i've tried playing music up here, but haven't found a connection like i had with my best friend back home. not so easy to transition between the two places. i do try to write what is on my mind, and depending on the time, thats a broad spectrum. thus, i apologize for the dissonance between topics. lastly, i cannot claim an ohio heritage, i'm from virginia. thank you for your kind words and encouragement. keep in touch.
