Cool. Lucky you. You have to be thankul you have it so great. If I was coming back from somewhere..it would probably take me all summer to find a job.
But not to say, I'm looking for a job. I'm hanging on to the one I have, at the moment anyway.

I just saw the video at You Tube when I looked up Sufjan Stevens music. She's really cool, but I don't think she's professional or anything. She does a kelly clarkson song too (only i think she played guitar too loud in that video), but this one was just amazingingly, perfect. Glad you liked it. I love that song.

Hey, bet you'll find a dress. Although, you can get in some fixes. Like if you get it too early, it might not fit. That's what happened to a friend of mine once. Then another was going to remake the dress but decided to do so on the day of the prom. Definitely, don't wait that late. I don't think she ever did get to redo that wedding dress. Who knows you might get a real sale, too.

Actually, I really think the first connection we make is "lust". Its something you want more of. And then you go a little crazy about how to get to know that person. The lengths you go too..which can get you in to trouble. And you feel like afterwhile..is this some kind of addiction? Then suddenly, like you kind of said..it wares off. Thats when you got to find the love. Thats when you have to be more giving, more listening, more understanding(you have to want too & if thats not there..well..better to stay friends). All that background stuff you never thought of before like his grandparents, etc.
Anyway, one step at time. Sometimes, half the fun is watching where it goes and hopefully, both of you grow.

Taoism is basically where you ask questions and leave them open. Unlike other religions where answers are important, to the Taoist, answers are of no importance. It is about embracing the moment and following nature's way and letting go of attachments to unimportant things and not worrying. Sorry to hear how you've "fallen" out from church. I'll admit I'm guilty of it myself. Having faith though has a lot more to do than just being there at church and even rereading again and again all those scriptures. I really think the faith you have is finding God in you. And you'll only feel it when you're helping others and doing good works. But even then, you aren't sure.
Your real testment is how you live not how well you know the Bible. And in trouble times, continue to pray for all those around you. I'm sure you're still praying for your Dad. Pray for yourself too..to gain the strength in how to communicate with him ..continue to stand strong for yourself. And even times you feel so lost, keep believing. Sometimes, it takes years to find the blessings in your life.

Remember you're a wonderful, creative person. And even if you don't want to think about it, well..there are other people's feelings to think about when it comes to things that you do in your life.
And not that I think that all the time how somebody else might react to my own actions. I remember how I felt when I found out about other friends going through you know, what I've gone through.
Funny, how I didn't feel that way about myself.
Sure on one hand, its like a stepping stone. A right of passage. Maturity. I guess that was the only thing on my mind when I decided not to be virgin. Plus the fact..I trusted the guy. Thinking, the brillance of it..and yet later, the loss and a cloudy luster.
Anyway, no matter what, just be ready to pay the consequence.

All I can say is that you have to guard yourself no matter what. Emotionally. Physically. And think. And pray. Think some more. This is something you don't want to regret. You've got to ask yourself a lot of questions. And you find yourself getting all tough, thinking, well, I could hate this guy as much as I love him. Or you tell yourself, I'm not going to feel anything. Well, of course you are.
I'd say wait a year.

Thanks for asking about the pic. That's Courtney Jaye. I picked up her debut cd on Tuesday. Its really cheap at Target. I think she's got a hearty voice, but I'm not sure about her songwriting. I've only actually listened to her cd once, and I wasn't exactly excited. Of course, my boyfriend kept saying, "Why are you listening to this? Its country!" But its really not. Not twangy by any means. So I feel like I didn't get a good listen to it yet..anyway, went to her website and I really liked this picture..mainly because of the "gustar" sticker on the guitar. Of course, she mentioned some shallow stuff about spending a year surfing and whatever which kind of put me off. I think she needs to live a little differently if she's really going to let her songwriting take off. Of course, I'm no songwriter, but when you listen to songs by someone like Jolie Holland, you just know, she's got this richness of experience or either she listened to lots of alternative folk artists.

hey, drama sucks. I went through it a lot in highschool. I had a lot of friends that were just friends, then we all had a huge fight splitting us all apart. Now theres just the five of us girls, and we're all really close. It's great. The drama will definitely die down, just give it time. i used to believe that anything was possible in america. but it's not true. it really is not. our country is so messed up right now and it'll get even more messed up. and i had hope. i truly did. until last night when my country decided to vote for someone who has done nothing but hurt us and the whole world in the last 4 years. they support all of the things he stands for & has done and that makes me ashamed to be an american. im not proud of the fact that gay marriage is banned in a lot of states. im not proud that women will probably have their rights taken away. im not proud of the fact that we attacked an innocent country and so many people died & are still dying. i'm not proud of the fact that americans discriminate others because of their sexuality. i'm not proud of the fact that people use their religion against everything and care more about that than each other. the list goes on, but what im the most ashamed of is the fact that america chose an IDIOT for a present. someone who wasn't supposed to be in the oval office in the first place.

oh..you naughty player you! Just teasing. On the bright side you'll be on a "group" thing. And that should be good. You know, not so much "Alone time" with you know who.

I hope your Dad will get the help he needs. But if he's like my Dad, he won't go to the doctor. My Dad gets depressed too. He gets really quiet about it for the most part, but you know its there.
Mainly, its had to do with not find work & the divorce. My Mom always says he's going through the "change". My Dad is a little older than your Dad. And she says he wasn't like that when she first met him.
Its like he's grouchy, a lot. Well, not always.
But its true about things evolving. Its just one of those thing you don't think about when "maturing" is involved. But Mom vouches he's just like his Dad. And his father was always like the best grandfather to me..so maybe there is hope if he's ever a grandfather.

The whole gay marriage thing is a very touchy subject. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there no matter what their preference shoudn't get married at all. But then there are those who have made a real commitment to a person, even had to leave families because they weren't accepted anymore and I'm sure this will help their future, financially and emotionally. It is hard to accept. I think if we have a "marriage" law there should just be one for a partner marriage. But I'm sure there are those who would never accept that.
I have a feeling it'll be an issue talked about but not much done at least for awhile.

technically I'm Finnish Apostolic Lutheran, but there isn't a congregation in Las Vegas. The church I currently attend is non-demoninational, that's really the only way I can think to describe it. It's mainly born-again ex-cons; the testimonies they give are amazing.

Never forget to fully rely on God! I know it's hard to do at all times, but it really does make life better. I'll give you a few inspiring verses to check out incase you need them... My personal favorite, Psalm 37:4. Then there's always the entire book of 1 Corinthian's.. all about love, and completely amazing to read when you feel that nothing is worth trying for anymore. Also, know that I love you as a sister of Christ, so if you ever need to talk to someone who has no relation to your "real" life, send an email my way. :) lilniknack@hotmail.com I hope things get better, Grace. Hey hun! Thanks for stopping by my diary and leaving a note :) I love hearing from people about how God is working in their lives. I'm glad that update was reminder to you, it was one to me as well! Sometimes we don't stop and think how God would question us, we're too busy questioning Him. I'll keep coming back to your diary to see how you're doing and what's new in your life. Scary about the bomb threats, we had those too and it turned out to be some freshmen that just thought it would bring some excitement to school.. not funny. :(
