I realize you are on hiatus, but I was hoping to share something with you about your recent "good & evil" entry. I received teaching about the 'fallen world' that has provided freedom for me in this area. Here goes: When Jesus came, he ushered in The Kingdom. Because it co-exists with sin, it is incomplete; its completion waiting for the return of Christ. This would explain why some ask for healing & receive it here, others die in faith, believing for healing in the eternal. Also, the age-old, "why bad things happen to good people." My discipleship teacher has a wonderful name for the time in which we live, "The Age of Tension." There is access to a righteous & holy God and yet, we realize the perfection of His Kingdom is not always now - bad things still happen. So we wait (eagerly) for His return & trust that His Goodness rests in His Sovreignty. So there you go. I hope it makes a little sense in the abbreviated. If not, let me know! It blessed me, maybe it will be a blessing for you too!

hey there - you haven't updated in a few days - everything okay?
from godsong :
Thank you for expressing yourself so well on healing. I have been blessed enough to receive a healing in my life, although am not one to preach the health and wealth doctrine. I do believe that God touched me and has used my healing as a tool for witnessing to others. I laso know that when I forget to be thankful for His healing, the pain often returns, perhaps as a reminder that it was only by God's grace and mercy I no longer have to live on the regimen of medications I was taking. I do agree with you wholeheartedly though about us not being in a position to demand anything from God. We know that God works all for the good "according to his purpose". That's the most important part of that verse, and the part that is often forgotten. Again, thank you for expressing yourself on this controversial issue. I pray that you have an awesome Lord's day! God bless!

Sheakspeare's? Sounds interesting! I think we'll be in Paris for a day or so probably, but the work we're doing is mainly in Nice, so I don't know how much time we'll be able to spend in Paris. Oh and what is it with the frog's legs? Have you tried them? Are they good or not? Because I've heard both! Thanks for all the help/notes/information! hehe In His Hands, Courtney

i found your diary through a friend and i've enjoyed reading it so much. you have such a great focus on God and your relationship with Him. the things you've written about here are things that are very important to me also, and i feel that i can relate very much with your views and beliefs... your experience with depression is something else i can relate with, so seeing that you have such strong faith in God is very encouraging. keep writing! i'll be back to read more. xoxo

In your entry when you mention Quakers, and say they have silent time (in my church we call it Open Worship), I can personally vouch that it really helps you focus on God. It helps you to listen to Him. I don't think everyone takes enough time to be in silence. I know I don't.

Thanks for the comment on my diary. I truly don't like it, because of all the horrible stuff that I have done, but it is my life. I really do enjoy yours though, it's great how you keep one like this. Talk to you later. God Bless
