Hey, this is Lindsey... We're 'supposedly' still reviewing, but I'm really not sure what's happened. All the reviewers that said they were going to and wanted to review, just sort of... didn't. I, myself, have been pretty busy with school, among other things, and I just haven't had the time to do a review. I don't consider us to be closed, but it could definitely be a long time before another review is done. If I can ever get around to reviewing again, I (or we) will still be reviewing anyone on the list that's still updating their diary. Until then, I honestly don't know when we'll get back to it. Thanks for the note though, I think I'll go put a post up at the site about it right now.

Oh, sweetie! You sound just like me when I was a freshman in High School! I now WORK at the HIGHSCHOOL@!! yikes! Well, I still dye my hair. I waited until I worked here for at least five years before I started dying it again. The students think it's cool, so do I, and so do some of the other staff members...and the rest really are MEMBERS, if you know what I mean. You say you are original and different, but you are not, and that is no insult. You are just a member of a family you do not know--Like me. I don't think your school is facist either. I think that adults work there and they are humans. Look at the kids around you in your school, they will all be stranger looking versions of themselves one day and they will run various places of employment and institutions and so forth. You will have to deal with all types of people thru-out your life. Get used to it and learn to deal. Stay true to yourself inside but don't let "yourself" get in the way of real happiness. It's great that you don't do drugs and all, so don't let people treat you like a scummy drug addict. Have some respect for yourself and treat adults the way you want to be treated--give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they used to be cool too. Maybe not, though. You never know until you find out, right? From a school employee point of view, try to remember that we are also aware of certain extreme incidents like Columbine and those freaks in Arkansas or Tennesee that shot up thier schools. No one wants to leave even a small window of opportunity open for that kind of mess again. Just try to be open minded about things like school and the US government. I don't think it is perfect either, but I do know for a fact that we are much better off than pretty much any other place in the world. I didn't always think this way either. There was a time when I just wanted to do my thing and anything that got in the way was a target for my anger and aggression. I use to hate school, and when I graduated and moved on, well I kind of miss it. See, it isn't as easy to meet people anywhere else. You have the perfect excuse at school to meet others. You all have so much in common--you have no choice but to be there, most kids are missing a parent, etc. etc. In the professional/working world, you have to do the tasks you are given because your ability to survive often depends on it. You don't have time to stand around and find out if the person in the next office likes art too or if they are into Pennywise and Sloppy Seconds or whatever. Enjoy it while it lasts. You will blink and realize that this is only a memory! Much love and best wishes--take care girl and stay strong!
