You know we're flying up on Sunday the 20th right? It's okay if you're in Frisco 'cause we'll be hanging out (okay, okay I'll be in the d@mn bookstore). We're at the Oxford Suites, where else? Love ya always, Mom.
from yourmomsvoz :
Update!
from jeanisdead :
As in my dear Chuck Palahniuk, Invisible Monsters? Woot. I promise, you'll love it. And if you don't ... I'll still love you anyway!
from incinerated :
I agree. I hope your mom had a wonderful day.
from goody2shoe :
Happy birthday Em! I miss you lots and I hope you have a wonderful day!
from yourmomsvoz :
I am thinking about voting for Bush. He made the mess in Iraq and I want to watch him try to clean it up with people in his own party turning against him. I'm imagining eventual impeachment, actually. We know he lied, so I don't think he'll get another chance to invade someone else on the WMD issue and now that the American atrocity photos are out, we don't have a snowball's chance of ever brokering peace without just turning and running. That will make the extremists stronger and I want that to be Bush's fault, not a Democrat's. I predict we will get our country back in 2008 -- maybe even with Hillary.
from barusoitto :
well, I wish I was the boy to keep you company, but I know that I am not. Good luck, I still pray for you everyday........ if that means anything.
from curlykue :

Since I haven't seen your writing really suck unless you are writing something you really don't care about, I think everything is going to be just fine. Love you always, Mom
from yourmomsvoz :

why abstain from things causing joy? you're gonna die soon! the earth has been around for billions of years - you're lucky if you get 80. most people die too young in car crashes or one of those nasty, untreated vds. live the dream. ps: tell katie i'm looking for her.
from jeanisdead :
bah, your guestbook ate my note. anyway ... i want three of those shirts. and in homage to this (http://www.tshirthell.com/shirts/tshirt.php?sku=a250) shirt, you should write on the back of mine: "Oh, and by the way, I fucked your dad." thank you muchly.
from flutterby221 :
leave the house, that is. as in, why would anyone with any sense leave the house? not smoke themselves stupid. i noticed it was an ambiguous statement after i reread it.
from flutterby221 :
i know i need to leave the house before i smoke myself stupid, but, honestly, why would anyone with any sense do that? i'd have to put pants on.
from curlykue :
patrick? coming? this weekend? hooray! ((day?time?matesofstate?))

from jeanisdead :
More hugs! Oh, feel free to delete the gb entry that makes it look crazy. And? Fuck signmyguestbook.com. Hugs.
from jeanisdead :
If I was there, we could walk around and talk. All night long. And when you get home? We can walk and talk. I'll just have to bring a big stick to fend off stray dogs and creepy people.
from curlykue :
Em your poem is astounding. each time i read it i am more impressed. this will take you places. xo-kt
from definingme :
Been a while, huh? This poem is absolutely stunning....it took my breath away. I can't say I understand it.....YET. But the shape of it all, the insight, the structure.....you are obscenely talented, Ms. Emilie. Take care! Hope you're doing well! <3 Krista
from goody2shoe :
I hope everything is going ok with you. I'll try to call soon. I miss you.

from theaterdiva :
Woohoo!!! Somebody besides me likes Tartuffe! Sorry, I just don't run into that very often so I'm pretty thrilled! Anyway, clicked on your banner! I like your writing style. Good luck with all that you are facing and accomplishing!
from curlykue :
how big of a stick do i get?
from starlight42 :
Clicked on your banner...college years are a tough time. Just try to enjoy them. Stay true to yourself though too. And meet new people. Anyway, I enjoyed reading some of your entries.
from ursaminor2 :
Wow I am having one of those twighlight zone moments right now. I was checking my notes in my diary when your add popped up, bored I guess I decided to pop in. Two things stuck me. One you sound just like me when I was 18 (I am 29 now), and trying not to have sex with my boyfriend (didnt work, want advice?). The second is that I have been struggling with my relationship with God big time lately, and I pop into your notes and the entry right before mine is exactly what I have been thinking and feeling.....whoah....I wish I knew what entry she was speaking of....
from amarantha21 :
i came across your diary via your banner. I understand not being able to talk to your friends about your religious transition. I have always been somewhat irreligious, and the friends I have collected over the years are agnostic, aetheist, or unobservant in the extreme. Lately, I've been feeling this sense of pointlessness, this sense that life without God means very little, and yet I feel somehow embarassed by my need for God in the face of their certainty of his insignificance. I don't know how to talk to them, because I fear they will see my desire for religion as a weakness, an inability to deal with reality and "grow up." Anyways, I'm rambling, but I just wanted to let you know that your entry comforted me a little, insofar as it let me know I was not alone. smiles.
from jeanisdead :
oh, and; once i get paid, i'm going to find that book and buy it. in your entry about it, i read the second paragraph and thought "oh hell naw," (yeah, my thought used a ghetto voice) and contemplated beating you up ... but then you explained and i thought "oooooh, i get it." so yeah. it sounds very interesting (and not in the generic "very interesting" sort of way, but in a genuinely very interesting sort of way). on my mother's side, i'm a third generation american. and i've told people that before, and they're always unimpressed ... but that means something to me, especially coming from a culture that's so looked down upon, with a great-grandfather i never knew, but who came here, taught himself english with children's books, travelled back and forth between here and mexico to support his family ... and so, i think those same things, and it hurts me even more because i know i should be more appreciative, less materlialstic, try and do something ... eh, i forgot where i was going with this. but that book is as good as bought.
from soillsich :
Well, even if you can't "take" a compliment, I definitely have to agree with those people from last night. You're a superb writer!
from jeanisdead :
fucking guestbook ... yeah, i can't sign again that fast? says you! jerk! anyway, haha. i just found your banner. i like it. its so very you. its very much the shibby. i promise.
from mzauberman :
I clicked your banner because it is pretty good...and I don't click many banners. Do you get a good clickthrough rate on that one? I think it's all about psychology.
from curlykue :
hi em. me again. hehe. its way cool that you're gold!!! i've been trying for that all of b reak. but as i have no credit card. and my mother does not comprehend this "purchasing of nothing thats out there somewhere 'online'" as she likes to refer too it. meh. sucks to have technologically impaired parents sometimes. in other news...i'll be seeing you in about a week! (yay)
from curlykue :
i love you em. i'm glad i met you. and i hope things just keep getting better in your life and never worse. your journal is my favorite one to read and it always makes me happy when you update. and it always makes me feel good when you say nice things about me. :) i miss you mucho. and other shangonians too. its going to be mad crazy fun when we get back don't you know it.
from rougesupreme :
My favorite one was the one where you like to hold Andy's hand in church. It made me smile because I love you and I can just picture you being happy. I was jealous that you had a new life, but I am so happy for you it just fadded away. I still want to be part, though, haha!
from rougesupreme :
eh, i vent in my diary. that is what just works. i guess thats me in a nutshell. and it is ok. guesture appreciated greatly.
from curlykue :

i meant to say "and dennis miller" but i believe it should be a new prerequesite for our creative writing class for me to pointlessly say "dennis miller" at least once a week. alright, i'm done with the insanity. *i thought that i heard you laughing, i thought that i heard you sing, i think i thought i saw you try ... *
from jeanisdead :
your diary is the shiznit, my crazy pagan friend. and the color change has been noted. lovely, i tell you. i would steal the colors, but they don't fit my mood. so yeah ... i like old balls. dennis miller. see you around.
