hi! you locked yoru diary? what happened :( i'm sad. are you still writing? anyway hope all is alright. take care :) <3 hugs
from ramble-on :
Learn? At her age, I was "Keeping my boy happy" too. I, personally, did not LEARN this behavior from anyone but school mates. "If you love me you would" sounds even MORE convincing when the boy is much older, as he is in her case. Only I was smart enough to be on birth control AND use condoms. I take a lot of responsibility in knowing that I encouraged her to take responsibility in her actions (ie condoms, birth control, her claim was "I ran out" then you should have said SOMETHING!), encouraged her to FINISH school (something I did not do because of many failed choices of my own). I also don't believe it was her mother's responsibility to keep their relationship together. The woman cheated, Boyfriend filed for divorce, he got custody. It was a choice that her mother made, which resulted in a choice Boyfriend made. Certainly I am not going to judge you, and encourage you to make it work for yourself. My point in responding was the fact that girls are trying so very hard to grwo up so very quickly, and they must live with those choices THEY made. Drinking too much, drugs, having sex. All actions that most teenagers do. Unfortunately, most of them don't realize the consequences when they are having their fun. In high school, I knew this girl used to go out binge drinking each and every weekend and was raped twice. DO NOT misunderstand me, I certainly do NOT believe it was her fault, but after the first time, most women are much more cautious of putting themselves in a bad situation. I was in my own sitiation (sans alcohol), and I tell you what, once was all it took for me to realize that I NEVER wanted to put myself in that position again. EVER.

the song is Cibo Matto's cover of Nirvana's "About a Girl". Though it is an awesome song, I can't take credit for it. And yes, that picture's me. Thanks for asking!!
from m-antoinette :

from m-antoinette :
awww! i hope you feel better. perhaps we will always have paris too...?! (just kidding!)
from m-antoinette :
ha ha! you crack me up :)
from ashtraygurl :
well, being that TOES don't help anything drink water, but STRAWS do, I'd say your explaination was better. Come on, toes? Dumbing it down doesn't even begin to describe that explaination at all.
from hamiltonian :
I really enjoyed reading your entry about religion after a LONg 16 hour work day.I have to be up in a few hours and back at work but when I am here mentally enough I will respond by email most likely to it.
from hamiltonian :
Well i love your niceness as its always welcome, I wish i could go drink with you as i havent had a drink in a LONG TIME.
from hamiltonian :
just mwah saying a "hello"
from uridium15 :
i do realize that that last statement probably gives the one before that little to no validity at all, what with the entire me possibly not knowing shit, but i ride a high bet on me not being too far off when i say that work sucks and if you've got nothing to lose, do what you've always wanted to. it's better than killing yourself, after all.
from uridium15 :
me? i sit on my ass, supported fully by my lovely mother. i have a few problems with working. mainly the responsibility with it all and the fact that when taking tax into consideration, there are a few days there that you're working absolutely for free. i have been employed, and i'm only 19 years old, so it's not that big a deal. still considering what to do for the rest of my life. was thinking of getting a job at a record shop, so that i can tell people they are distasteful and listen to shitty pop songs all day. but i don't think i'm ready at the moment. maybe in april or may or five hundred years from now.
from uridium15 :
you know, i'd have put up a protest. "i'm not leaving until you tell me why you're firing me; fuck this 'i'm too nice' bullshit, i want to know the real reason. it's my right to know, since you're firing me, and not bob over there." i'd have definitely given them a run for their money... cuz it's not like you have anything to lose. they think you're too nice? show them you can be mean. of course it's too late for all this now, but i just thought i'd share. and perhaps if something of a similar nature happens again, you can try your hand at it. sorry.
from m-antoinette :
aww i'm sorry about your job!!!! but that's got to be the worst excuse for firing someone. there has to be something else she's not telling you. there had to be another reason. really. i'm sorry hun though :( hope this helps even from a stranger chin up!
from m-antoinette :
hi thanks for the comment. the authentic weekend made me chuckle a little :) i hope you have an authentic weekend too!!!! RAWK
from maliger :
Thanks for the note. I'll have to be here more often. Been hanging out all over doing stuff. Just added a poem.

You sexy bitch!

orange? if u mean the color of my site, then yes i guess i'd like orange. i'm actually not a big fan of pink, i just liked the top writing with the flowers so i got it
from hamiltonian :
curious if your going to read Michael Badnariks new book.
from ashtraygurl :
unfortunately, people are sick. especially people from ohio. sorry, just kidding. well, i hope you are feeling better about this soon. it is always very sad when someone is lost in such a tragic way, doing what they love to do. it WAS the anniversary of the death of john lennon, btw. Happy Christmas. *mwah*
from ashtraygurl :
it's horrible, isn't it?
from ashtraygurl :
i got one of those calls today for the survey...they told me i'd get $25, but I declined (I didn't just flat out hang up though, b/c that's rude!).
from ashtraygurl :
thanks for adding me!! i added you back, and added you to my lj friends...b/c i am an lj junkie!! i've got xanga too, but i don't think i've ever used it (admittedly just signed up for it so i could stalk a hot brit). *sigh* thanks again!!

from hamiltonian :
Vote for me diaryland president, just visit my site and vote today...
from kellykellygg :
I don't know who you are but you left a note on my diary so I'll respond. I'm not just voting against Bush and I'm not uneducated. But thanks for being condescending.
from zencelt :
Looks like we're having a joint family catharsis. Enjoyable, huh? I think you are on the right track. Who needs poisonous people in their lives?
from requiel :
Ugh, I can't wait until all this election crap is over. Yes, I am voting...I just don't like the choices I have to vote for. Hillary as President, we would be the laughing stock of the world.
from hamiltonian :
In swing statesi advocate voting Kerry.. in all others BADNARIK ALL THE WAY! I live in Louisiana and am voting for MICHAEL BADNARIK FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
from iamhubpluh :
"Don't dream it. BE IT" If the independant candidates don't get a minimum of support, it makes them harder to get on the ballot this year, and then the next... It's a close election this year, as was the last one, as will probably be the next... if not now, when? I understand that it may seem romanticized, but you are a member of the green party for a reason. Why swallow your own ideals and beliefs for a candidate who doesn't match up to YOU? That to me, THAT is impractical.
from startfresh :
Lovely idea. Lovely QUIXOTIC idea. Quixotic is nice, dear, but bullshit is real. Lesser of the two evils is the only way to go in such a close election. It pains me too, being a green. But, lets face it. Two party system means just that. Two parties. Period.
from jhapster :
Ahhhh, a libertarian, refreshing ... see the writings of Professor Walter E. Williams for some real inspiration... http://www.gmu.edu/departments/economics/wew/articles.html
from zencelt :
I can't believe how you've survived that crap infested family of yours. You must be one strong lady. One day, you an di both will be out of the dungeon of our family homes and be able to live and breath in peace.
from libert-belle :
Hey, Thanks for the note! Could you make your journal FireFox Friendly? The words are so small with my browser and I really wanted to read a few entries.
from hamiltonian :
I like some aspects of Kerry. I do believe if can help fix the mess Bush ha caused. Badnarik would help fix the mess of both but right now the Bush mess is really bad. I want Badnarik's new book. I am going to write him...
from hamiltonian :
I am laying the case down on the big two bullies.
from vikingmaiden :
He could have had a chance. As it stands now, in my opinion, it's more important to save the country from Bush. Believe me, I wish Badnarik all the luck possible; but I really think that if he and Nadar knew what was good for the country, they would throw their support towards Kerry.
from ceciliaruns :
i found your other note. in answer to your question...i am using this journal as an impetus to paint more. most of those i post are quite small so i am thinking of making some prints. i will definitely be posting more paintings. i'm so glad i repulsed and drew in... thanks for the encouragement, i can certainly use it these days...
from ceciliaruns :
yes. most of the art is mine except for the photos and the mobile but i try to give credit where it's due. thanks for your beautifully put compliments.
from iamhubpluh :
he DOES have a chance, if people would stop thinking that way. How it was explained to me, was if you were in prison and there was a 45% chance you'd stay in prison, 40% chance of electricution, 10% chance of escape and 5% chance of parole, would you choose to live in prison your whole life, JSUT CAUSE IT'S WHAT YOU ARE LIKELY TO GET? That doesn't make anysense. I'd vote for the best, and get as many other 'inmates' to do the same!!!
from vikingmaiden :
Ah, cool. My father is considering casting a vote in protest. I'll tell him to vote Badnarik if he doesn't vote Kerry. But honestly, as much as I like Badnarik and really believe he's the best choice this time around, I also really think he doesn't have a chance. It's too late. Kerry needs the votes or we'll be putting up with "4 more years". You also should have a fabulous weekend. :)
from petmykittie :
Do I know you?
from maliger :
I appreciate your caring political views. They are truly the definition of compassionate, a breath of fresh air for this environment.
from godmoney :
thanx 4 deleting my note and adding a "note to self." makes me feel empowered. i guess u feel special, quite the idealist. maybe a vote for a never-been party would make badnik w/e feel warm and tingly like he's changing the world, but there is no merit in voting for the ugly girl for prom queen as far as i'm concerned. ur cute, though ("punk rock" lol). viva la revolucion to you too, sweetie.
from vikingmaiden :
Are you sure Badnarik is on the ballot for PA? (I ordered one of his bumber sticks online last night, by the way) Because we had this mock election in my high school, and we were supposed to have been given the ballot that will appear to actualy voters in PA. No Badnarik, or I would have voted for him! It doesn't matter is Kerry wins my high school... he needs to win the country. Anyway I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just making sure.
from iamhubpluh :
I did delete some notes, though only the ones that were redundant or ones with out substance and only malice. I sent the notes, because for every one person who complains or calls it spam there is at LEAST one (probably more, since not everyone sign the notes page) who appreciates having other information other than what the media is covering. And Yes, this is a GREAT way to start conversations and share info, since the only people I looked up were in Kerry04 and gayfriendly diaryrings. Have a LOVELY weekend ALL!!! >kisses<
from vikingmaiden :
Hi, thanks for stopping by. I actually prefer Badnarik over Bush and even over Kerry, but unfortunately I'm not old enough to vote. Even if I was, Badnarik isn't on the ballot for PA. We apparently have another Libertarian candidate running here. Badnarik is President material; but in this two-party system, he ought to just throw all his support at Kerry to better our chances of getting rid of Bush. *shrug* Just my opinion. Anyway, take care. Come back soon.
from mhari :
I appreciate your concern, and I apologize for being short with you. I'm voting for Kerry because he has a shot in hell of getting in at this point, and because while he's far from my ideal candidate, he's not a megalomaniac and that's a serious improvement. May I suggest that you can best support -- whoever it is you're supporting -- by not associating him/her with unwanted guestbook messages? That's a tactic that's done nothing to improve Viagra's image, and I can't imagine it'll do much for politicians.
from jenne1017 :
you deleted my note huh? Well anyway -- John Kerry is the BEST presidential nominee EVER. While he may not support calling it marriage (and not that I think that's acceptable), he is for domestic partner benefits, hate crimes, employment non-discrimination as well as giving same-sex couples the over 1,100 rights and responsibilities that go with federal recognition of marriage. I appreciate you sharing your view. But I think John Kerry is the viable choice.
from leslieirene :
Thanks...I appreciate that. We all do and say things that we regret. I know that I have. No one's perfect. I hope that we can be friends. :) Blessing to you, Leslie
from sugarbabylon :
thanks, dude ^-^ it's awesome to see the sane pursuing political aspirations. how do these people (bush, kerry) get so ahead? meh. <333
from protoplast :
It's all already been said, but just to reiterate--it's scary how completely misinformed you are.
from godmoney :
A vote for a Democrat or a Republican is a vote for the governmentDonkeys/ Elephantstwo sides of the same coin All of this is w/in my elementary grasp of politics. However, I am NOT going to throw my theoretical vote away to be a self-righteous hippie and make a protest vote. Not this election, babe. Adam Cobb, yey for him, got elected partly with the understanding that he would push a Kerry vote in swing states (cross my heart, hope to die). Kerry is for Patriot Act and No Child Left Behind. Either parties are overrun with lobbyists. Boo fucking hoo. You cant come-to-jesus me. I choose the lesser of two evils willingly. That and John Kerrys hot. Im a Gemini, too, btw. Sos Marilyn Monroe and Joyce Carol Oates. If u wanna reply do it on my page, not urs, cuz I dont intend to visit. Peace.
from matthewpv2 :
Thaks for dropping me a note, but I am voting for the best person for the job. Senator John Kerry.
from konzadiary :
Hmmm. Interesting points about the independent candidates. Interesting link, too. I of course had no idea these candididates even existed. The state I now call home is so extremely right-wing that even the democrats are lucky to put forth any advertising or do any campaigning here. I do want to clarify that we are not a true democracy in this country and a lot of folks just don't grasp that because they don't do a very good job of educating school kids about the distinctions between a democracy and a republic, and the USA is a republic, not a democracy. Thank god I have the internet to help me educate my kid: http://www.lexrex.com/enlightened/AmericanIdeal/aspects/demrep.html Anyway, thanks for stopping by my place and thanks for the link. Now that my kid doesn't need so much of my time, I am starting to look around at the way things are done in my little town and maybe it's time for me to get involved in the political process beyond just punching holes in a card. I can use all the ideas I can find. Peace...
from hamiltonian :
I'd call myself a Hamiltonian-Libertarian who believes that the Democratic Republic of the United States of America can be what it was supposed to one day become as envisioned by Washington, Hamilton, Jay and Franklin. But was never ever realized, it is time we take the country back from these looters of liberty.
from hamiltonian :
Thats why he is the best.. he hasnt sold out. I completely disagree with Libertarians about the Federal reserve.. well almost. They take a very Jeffersonian approach which is so outdated and historically wrong. That is one thing Kerry has own his side. But Badnarik would doa great job and his administratin would dow ell, contrarary to the belief of many. I have researched who each would fill their adminsitration posts with... Well know Bush and he will appoint more Paul Wolfowitz/Ashcroft types. Kerry will appoint people like Felix Rohatyn, Robert Reich, John Shattuck, Richard Holbrooke, Bob Rubin, Lauara Tyson, and keep many people from Mass... Badnarik would go even further Brookings Institute than Kerry. And is the complete opposite to Bush. Bush could care less about the Brookings Institute and Limited Government. Dubya is the biggest most corrupt President in American history.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
from hiryuu :
Thanks for the link. I would vote if I could but I'm not old enough : (
from irishblueyes :
Thanks for the note, but I have to say that I agree with the note before me. Right now the race is too tight to vote for an independent candidate. I just feel that the consequences are too real right now. And in truth, while I'm glad that third party candidates exist and have loyal supporters, I am a democrat and the democratic party is where I find my values and ideals most supported and regardless of whether our candidate had been Kerry, Dean or Edwards I was and probably always will be prepared to support the party. But thank you for the note and I respect anyone who is involved in the political process very much.
from iamhubpluh :
I completly disagree. If everyone who felt the way that you did, voted for who they really feel is the best person for the job, than yes, there is infact room for change, and with everything going on, THIS IS THE TIME FOR IT! I have personally recruited 10 people in the last week to switch their votes. That is real change, especially if it continues to spiral. I appreciate your immediate responce! I like your diary as well. Take care. I just hope people get out there and vote.
from retailharlot :
I understand the desire to see real, true-to-goodness change in this country, but the truth is, one of those political "evils" is going to win the election and I'd prefer it not to be the more evil of the two. Third party candidates are great, they show that there is an alternative, but right now, it's not a VIABLE alternative. In a race as tight as this one, all the heart in the world isn't going to help. A vote for anyone but John Kerry is essentially a vote for George Bush, no matter how you look at it. Thanks for the note, though.
from ilmomof3 :
Thanks for your note -- I'm most interested in simply getting people to *vote* -- for any candidate. The problem with our system, I think, is that people love to *talk* about it, but few actually show up at the polls to make a difference. Besides, I already sent off my ballot. ;-)

personally, I think citizens of all countries should get to vote for American president, since the position is really one of global power. all I get to do is pick between lousy fiscally irresponsible liberals and homophobic conservatives. sigh. Hah...sure! I'll make you a skirt. Well, then again, all I did was get a square of fabric, fold it diagonally, wrap it around my waste, and saftey pin it. But if you want me to sew it all pretty and zippered and stuff, I can do that. Or, I could just send you a few yards of the fabric. Whatever you want.

Thank you for leaving such lovely notes for me. And thanks for the advice about my parents. I shouldn't think too hard about it, because they're just "doing their job" and whatnot.
