To me being an aunt is nothing....but then again maybe that has something to do with living in here when my nephew lives in Kansas. I've only met him once too.

I'm starting to get the feeling that school counselors are hired based on their level of failure at life... the ones at UMass are no better than you described. In fact, they can't handle the workload, so they don't even offer advising within my major at the moment; we have 15 minutes to meet with the head of the department. We're expected to already have a list of the classes we plan to take, and all they do is approve it and give us the code so we can sign up for them online. - . -; There's no talking about, "Hey, is this a good idea?" or, "Is this class going to help me knock out any of my gen. ed. requirements?" Its just an in-and-out sort of deal. And it bites. x . x; I'll keep my fingers crossed that you end up with an actual appointment next time, though...
