just read your latest entry and burst out laughing and everyone said, "WHAT'S SO FUNNY ALEX?!"

Thank you so much for your letter. I loved every word and I owe you a nice, long response. I will try to have it in the mail to you by Tuesday--my only day off this week. I want to write an actual letter, not an email, because I feel the need to use paper and pen more and more these days. Plus, I caninclude much more love this way. I'm also going to attempt to get back to both my diary and DiaryGoddess as soon as things settle down a bit. I'm actually preparing things now, but I can't post before I've edited everything. Love you!
from poolagirl :
Thanks for the accent tip! I'm going to try it tonight!
from poolagirl :
Thanks for stopping by my diary - and thanks for the nice comment! How funny that you walked into the store/station with your knife. Must have thought you were a psycho too. I once had a temp job as a clown, and I was supposed to greet people in a bank. Unfortunately, they hadn't told security I was coming. The minute I set foot inside the lobby, I was detained. It was scary.
from ambrosia1 :
Hello again, Goddess! Your new layout is fantastic! And once I have the new host for DiaryGoddess set up with Nexcess.net on Friday I think you will also be able to host your website/images there as well. I'm not certain about this just yet, but I'm *pretty sure* this can be done. I'll let you know soon. And I just want you to know that I will be in touch more often--the holidays nearly did me in, but now that they are over, I have more time for the friends/Goddesses that I love. --Stephen

Hi!!! I think you'reamazing, Goddess Jessica! Thank you so much for your brilliant article for DiaryGoddess. I've posted it, I just need to create the proper links for it on the site so thatreaders (and the other Goddesses) see both your introduction to your column and your first article. Any suggestions on how to link it? I was thinking of creating links beneath the descriptions of each column on the Columns page for introductions and the latest installment of each. And perhaps an archives page for the entire site as well. If you have time--perhaps you can tinker around a bit. You're an editor (do you have the password?), so feel free to create new pages and post/link articles as you create them if you wish. After all, you are a Goddess and I am a mortal at your service. And be pround of your D&D love! I am a comic geek myself--I love Spider-man, The Maxx, Preacher, Lucifer, She-Hulk, New Avengers, and other nerdy things like that (though I tend only shell out dough on Spider-man). Everyone knows this and if they fault me for this--fuck 'em, I say. Everyone has a little geek inside. We're just not afraid to let ours out to play. I love you!
from halfdevoured :
The DiaryGoddess button in your diary is a red x for the moment because I am currently waiting for my gold membership and images to be restored. Sorry about that, Goddess! And Happy New Year!
from poolagirl :
WOW! Thanks for stopping by my diary and putting me on your fave list! I am digging into your diary right now - and loving what I discover. Catch you later.
from halfdevoured :
Merry Christmas, Goddess Jessica!
from halfdevoured :
Thank you so much for your help with the DiaryGoddess layout! I apologize for not writing last night. With the holidays upon us, my store is bursting with shoppers and I had to beat them down with the heaviest books I could find. Actually, I worked in the cafe last night and that area is even crazier than the book floor. When I got home, I called Heather (my girlfriend...she rocks!) and talked to my roommate for a while (he was depressed). We watched the Prisoner of Azkaban and I fell asleep at some point during the film. I don't remember crawling into bed, but I'm awake now and about to clean the house. Mostly my bedroom. I will write before the afternoon is over however. You're an awesome Goddess!!!
from diarygoddess :
Goddess...I love you. I'm sleeping soundly in your palm. It's peaceful. I wish the same peaceful feeling for you. I love you. -Stephen
from betholindo :
Look on the bright side of living in the U.S.: You aren't constantly persecuted in public places by strangers for being American. And this is coming from someone who lives in a country that's one of our allies. You can be disappointed in your government, but not have people you don't even know blaming your personally for The War. Don't be depressed about it; the U.S. is a fabulous place to call home. (I'll be back in June.)
from halfdevoured :
Goddess Jessica cannot be destroyed. I won't allow that to happen. I'm always here for you...right in your palm. You can lay all of your worries on me. I'm listening. And I love you.
from halfdevoured :
I love you. And I'm dancing in your palm.
from clitty :
I like your diary.

from halfdevoured :
Thank you for your note and your Goddess Pick, Jessica! I figured that your computer froze or crashed yesterday, so there was no need to apologize. That happens to me sometimes, too. I loved your Goddess Pick! I'm going to post it now, then I have to run errands and get ready for the move. I might be leaving tonight...still not sure. If not, it will definitely be tomorrow. If you will, please email your article to me and Brandi at the same time. I think that would work out best. Thanks! I love you! And thank you so much for sending your love my way this morning!
from halfdevoured :
You're already a role model. Mine. (A goddess, too.)
from ambrosia1 :
Stephen again. Let me know what you think of this, Love: http://ambrosia1.diaryland.com/curtain.html
from ambrosia1 :
Hi...it's Stephen. I was just looking over the DiaryGoddess site and trying to figure out how to arrange things for the new layout that Leah is helping me cook up. Anyway, I figured that since you're the Theatre Goddess, perhaps you're contribution could be theatre related. You could write all about plays, actors, actresses, your personal experieces in theatre, adaptations from stage to film (have you read W;t? I think that was a perfect adaptation.), what goes on behind the scenes, gossip, post photos from your performances, you could work in mythology, write stories about the adventures of the Theatre Goddess...the possibilities are endless. What do you think? And as far as how often you to contribute, each goddess is busy and has different schedules, so I think that everyone should set their own deadlines for their own columns/features. And as for sections like "Goddess Picks", I'll ask for each goddess to whip up a brief review of a book, CD, or movie that they are currently taken with to post on the site at the beginning of each month. Do you think that will work? Lovelovelove you and SO happy to know I'm still in your palm. I wasn't sure if I was there or not...I can't see from one end to the other anymore. The love has made you quite colossal I take it. And I'll continue to send more and more of it. Try not to bump your head on the moon.
from halfdevoured :
Did you ever get my emails? I sent a couple your way the week before last...perhaps a little earlier. I was having trouble with my account earlier, so you may not have received them. Anyway, I'm composing a couple diary entries that I hope to tweak and post by this evening, though they may cause you to shake your head at me and then flick me right out of your palm. Also, what do you think of the idea of DiaryGoddess having a different theme each month? I figure the features/columns that each goddess creates could work in the theme of the month somehow or, alternately, each goddess could compose an entry in her diary inspired by the topic of the month that we can link to from the site. And, of course, the entry could link DiaryGoddess as well.
from halfdevoured :
"I wish you wouldn't make posts then delete them before I get a chance to see them; it's really quite disappointing." You would have been more disappointed if I had not deleted the "entry" I posted last night. I was just switching my layout from the Converse design to the one that's up now, because it's easier to read the longer entries and gives me more space to post images, but a few things were not displaying correctly. So, just to be sure it was all okay, I posted three entries that said simply "test", "test 2", and "test 3", respectively. Once everything was in order with the layout, I deleted the test entries. Sorry I disappointed you. I'll try to have a few things up soon. Quite a few ideas have been rolling around in my head. And hey...I Love you!!!
from halfdevoured :
DiaryGoddess need you, Theatre Goddess. The project just won't work without my Goddess Jessica. I still live in your palm, you know. *poof!*
from moony68 :
true dat. ;) besides... life is sweet.
from halfdevoured :
I miss you, too. I've been terribly distant, haven't I? I haven't managed to summon up the energy to correspond with anyone lately. Well, I have been writing to one friend, briefly, in the mornings, mostly to support her through personal difficulties that she's been telling me about. Aside from that, I've been stuck in my own head again. I added that diary entry again...I'm making an effort to update more, so, hopefully, there will be more to read. Love you!
from halfdevoured :
Well, just so you know, my Jessica love is unconditional. I do fel awful for being so slow to respond to you and everyone else...and for my lack of updates so that you know what's happening here. My spirits are suddenly soaring lately. There are a few things that are still trying to drag me to the ground, but it's getting easier to deal with them. Anyway, I want to be there for you the same way you are for me. Always. I'm getting it together and hopefully, there will be a surprise, much belated, for you soon. [hugs]
from halfdevoured :
Have you met our two Ambrosial members? Robin-Smith & bessiq (read his name backwards--it's great)? Robin is hilarious, you'll love her & bessiq has been one of my very best friends for more than 10 years now. Check them out: http://ambrosia1.diaryland.com/ambrosial.html
from halfdevoured :
It would be pretty cool, I think, if your diarygoddess button linked to your goddess profile. Brandi did that with hers, I believe. Also, with Middlesex, I am only on Minotaurs at the moment. I'm also reading Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk and an advance copy of the new David Sedaris book, so it's going to be a while before I finish Middlesex. Plus, it will probably be another 10 years between novels for Mr. Eugenides, so I want to savor the story. A went through all five harry potter books during the two weeks before Christmas, and now I'm dying for the sixth one, so I figured I should pace myself with the books I have on hand. [hugs]
from halfdevoured :
Hey! I'M reading Midlesex! Are you spying on me with those infinite goddess powers of yours? Actually, I suppose with me in your palm, you're able to peek.
from halfdevoured :
I'm out off town right now...just got yur email. Anyway, nothing to worry aboutas far as my buddy list goes. I was trying to re-do it one day last week, I was saving the changes as I went, then the power on our area went out for a few hours. I just haven't had a chance to get back to it. I'll probably finish it up this week sometime. Gotta go! Love you!
from halfdevoured :
D'oh! I don't know what I was thinking--one night is not a lot of time to prepare for a play, is it? But of course, you are the Theatre Goddess, so you would have pulled it off with spectacular results.
from halfdevoured :
Good luck with yur performance tonight! And have fun! Wish I could be there to see the magic!
from halfdevoured :
I slept all through the night last night; that's why I did not write the second message. I didn't study last night because of that, so I'm trying to catch up on that now. (I have tests tomorrow.) I hope that my message was well-received and that your spirits are on the rise. I apreciate you taking the time to send a letter to me in the mail. I will do the same for you once I complete my tests. You are in my thoughts and my heart. [hugs]
from halfdevoured :
I got your email and your letter. Thank you! I will write back shortly--I want to respond to everything--I have a little work (family and school stuff) to take care of first, but you will hear from me this weekend. Promise!
from halfdevoured :
I love you, too! I hope that your time away from everything is doing you some good and that you're feeling better.
from exoristos :
Do love you.

Hey! No crawling in a hole and dying! No crawling in a hole and dying! Beautiful goddesses such as yourself are not allowed to do that. Send me an email when you can and vent all you need to. I miss you!
from halfdevoured :
I didn't even know you HAD a boyfriend. I knew you liked a guy, but I had no idea that you were dating. I hope that you fel better soon. [hugs]
from halfdevoured :
I don't think I tell my friends that I love them enough or let them know that they are being thought of. So, here's letting you know that you are loved and thought of often. I've just been slack with the email and letters/packages I owe while trying to balance everything else I have going on. Just thought you should know. [big hug]
from halfdevoured :
Happy Valentine's Day to you as well, love.
from halfdevoured :
I hope that things are better for you today. I took the draft for my first essay that's due tomorrow to the Writing Resource Center on campus to let one of the tutor's take a look at it. Other than pointing out a few places where I didn't need a comma and a few places where I did, she thought that my paper was excellent and very original. So, I'm feeling a little better thanks to that, but I wanted to see how you were doing because I'm concerned. I love you!
from madatmydesk :
Maaaaaaan! Classes were cancelled again today. Someone doesn't want me to learn anything. I'm sorry to hear about your injury. I hope that it feels better soon. Be careful out there!
from moony68 :
... and so is the username. it's SNOWIIIIIIIING! :)
from moony68 :
password is "moose" :)
from madatmydesk :
Sorry...didn't mean to scare ya. None of that was meant to be taken seriously. I was just really annoyed by Good Charlotte yesterday...they were on every station and I couldn't get away. So I devised this imaginary scheme to get back at them for getting on my nerves so much. It's kind of like when someone pisses you off and you strangle them, but only in your head. Doing it for real wouldn't be nice at all. And you'd probably wind up in prison. That entry pretty much led me to write a disclaimer in my profile, but I should probably make the disclaimer a full entry and put a link to it in my menu.
from halfdevoured :
*POOOOOOOOOOOF!!!*
from halfdevoured :
While we're on the subject of nicknames we hate, I got stuck with "Urkel" for a while when the show with that goofy kid was popular because we had the same first name and I happen to like plaid shirts. As far as I can tell, his personality is nothing like mine. Stevie Doo was worse, though. No one (except for my friend Joey Doo-Doo) wants "doo" attached to their name.
from halfdevoured :
Hi, Goddess Jessica! I've been busy over the last few days--today especally--but I'm going to sit down in the morning and compose a letter to go along with your belated Christmas gift. I also bought my textbooks for school today. Yikes! Who makes up these prices? I think the information in the books I already had sitting on my bookshelf is better than what I saw while skimming through these books, but I suppose the actual instriction is what counts. I just wish that I could find some kind of photography course or workshop locally. I'm on my own with that it seems. Well, I'd better end this note here or else I won't have anything left to say in your letter. Love you!
from madatmydesk :
Would you like to follow me through the looking glass?
from moony68 :
true dat, homez. LOL ;)
from rosyg :
You made my day Jessica. I should have some word on the new book soon . . .
from halfdevoured :
Okay, my entry tonight is really just a bunch of nonsense (the part about the light in the attic coming on mysteriously is true, but the rest is just... I dunno... dumb), but I'm happy to report that something is actually there. I'm making an effort to be creative again, which means a lot of sucky diary entries and bad photos are forthcoming, but I xpect to get better with practice. Anyway, it sounds like you're doing a lot better, which is wonderful. I'm going to get something in the mail to you before your break starts, so watch for it. Love ya lots.
from halfdevoured :
I'm here. :)
from cdghost :

from seedpod :
you're so right- I wish I could chose too- you're right there's no choice in the matter- though I seem to be such a heartless bitch at the moment that I just simply cancel out people in my mind whom I think I'm falling for. then you throw lust into the bag and give it all a shake... along with some spicey insecurities ... and.. yeah.. xxx
from cuillin :
"I wish I could worry less and be happy more, but I just don't have it in me. I've also felt absolutely terrible physically for more than a week. I don't know if one is effecting the other or not" -- most likely. Stress and worry take quite a toll on your physical well-being, that's for sure. It's SO damned easy to say, but try to relax; say no to things that will be stressful, live for YOU and tell the rest of em to fuck off....yeah, I doubt that helps, but I do care and I hope you start feeling better very soon....xoxoxox
from halfdevoured :
How did I get from entry 4 to 7? I just forgot how to count. I'm having trouble with mutiplication and long division, too. I'm sorry that you're hating it in school. But it has only been a month. I'm certain that you'll find yourself in a comfortable area before you know it.
from halfdevoured :
I miss you, too! I'm sorry that my commnications have been few and far between. I just moved back to NC recently (two days ago, in fact) and so I'm just sort of getting everything together. I'm headed to the post office Saturday morning to ship out the gift that I've had for a while now. And I hope to start posting in my diary again next week. And, of course, I will be writing to you. So, check your palm. I haven't disappeared at all. I was just sort of out of sight. Sorry about that! Love you.

freshman jitters are excitin and nerve-wrackin but you'll be just fine! theater majors are cool people *wink*. i wanted to pursue that, but i'm a lil too short for broadway. lol all in all, i'm better at writin the play than actin it out. you're gonna be ready for the spotlight soon enough!

you do it and do it brilliantly and make sure when you're doing a show when you are there you remember that you never thought that you were that good- and laugh at yourself for having such little faith. xxx
