from ann-frank :
riiight, only you are too busy changing lives and you know, being a good human being and things!
from nikita1 :
rite, they don't have enough of fluoride, sometimes they have it in some weird flavors, I once bought weird flavors toothpaste like Curry, Fuji Ringo, and Yamanashi grape in a store at Shinagawa. The grape is very good tasting, I almost got throw up while brushing my teeth using Curry flavor. It's fun!
from nikita1 :
What's wrong with the Japanese toothpaste and gel?
from nikita1 :

from daow80 :
Hey iz :) Make sure if you get a japanese edictionary it has the hiragana! I got one and everything translates just to kanji :P useful for writing, but not so useful for conversation unless you just point to the screen.
from dirtnerdluv :
uh, let's see, i still love my iPod. one of the best purchases i've made. and i bought a nikon coolpix2500 which was a good price at Kramer's Cameras on wabash in the loop. the only thing it's lacking is a stronger zoom. but nice and small and easy to use. they have great prices at that place. and also i just ate this kick ass burritto from Garcia's on Western ave. i recommend it. splurge and get the sour cream and avacado.
from dirtnerdluv :
yah isra, the lack of crazy guys in shorts outside means a long winter...
from jaynebunny :
heya. do you mind if i put one of your entires in my zine? spec, the little memos to yourself are cute (cute probably isnt the best adjective.. but whatever.) and im scrounging around for different kinda stuff right now. trying to find stuff from people so the zines isnt so all bout me.. righty-o. talk to you later = )
from baignoire :
hey thanks so much. unfortunately i won't be at that show. i am going to be out of town. i am pretty angry. but you will have a great time, guaranteed. thanks again.
from ann-frank :
oh my god, I am such a tool when I post here. I just re-read some of my ... anyway. More tool-ings: I also watched the north shore special on PBS this weekend. Though I missed the very beginning, I am sure they will show it again. Also, I have never heard Ike Reilly, but a good friend of mine loves that band - I was supposed to go with her to see them over the summer but never made it, I only mention this because it was the big JAM BAND fest I wrote about ages ago, and I guess, when opening for Rusted Root, Ike Reilly felt he was not booked properly, knew the music there would be a disaster so he just opened up screaming, something like, how are all of you hippie pot smoking mother fuckers! ... so I think that is funny. (isra, dear you need a guest book so I can babble a lot but it doesn't LOOK like a lot because it is not squished in these little note columns!)
from arieskms :
you have to have the coolest banner on this site, hands down. you should check out beau sia; he's who brought me to dave eggers.
from ann-frank :
hey! Yes! I did go to the show (sorry I JUST saw your note). Did you go? I got the No. #0243/#3000 7"... ebay here I come.
from seventigers :
I love your funny Google searches. I keep a list of 'em myself. Here's a few completely illogical ones that I feel compelled to share: semi-nude asian male pimps hos pictures dancing mouse mpeg brandy boxer dog picture tongue watch naked men -gay (a personal favorite) i love hair bands nude neopets! jerry mcguire make me whole comparison: smurf life and human life (another personal fav) Love it! Shelly.
from dirtnerdluv :
so i shouldn't be putting a thousand bucks on my CTA card?
from dirtnerdluv :
you should see mcdull on the big screen if you can. unless you have one of those huge flat screen tv's and sound systems. then never mind, rich boy.
from nikitac :
Sure the soot spirit steal every scene! But when Haku remember his name, it also mean he remember his way home and who he was. The Name is like, a child's dream. Like what do you want to be when you get older? Once you forget it, you'll never be the one you used to want to be.
from happypumpkin :
So, I finished Ella Minnow Pea the other night. I went to Barnes and Noble and bought it after you mentioned it- this is how easily persuaded I am. I liked it. I thought it was pretty good. But I found myself getting really angry with the Island Council. I kept thinking, "Gah! How are people supposed to talk if you keep taking away all their letters you stupid, stupid bastards!" And by the end, I kept hearing Swedish people saying the dialogue when they were spelling phonetically. Just, ya know... fyi ;)
from dirtnerdluv :
macs rule. and i'm sure waiting till x-mas for a new iPod means you will get one with a color screen and it will be cheaper and able to control the weather. it's always good to wait on technology. but i got the fever. also i saw Spirited Away. it was good.
from dirtnerdluv :
Johnny Mnemonic? NO. Don't do it. It's still a horrible movie.
from nikitac :
what's your favourite scene in Spirit Away? Mine is when Haku remember its name (What a beautiful name! ), and they're both falling/flying.
from happypumpkin :
How big a tool am I, dude? This is the first note I've ever left you. So, yeah. I might have to read that book because nothin says lovin to me like some good smartass comments. I've been looking for something worthwhile to read. I don't think I'm so much the Ya-Ya Sisterhood type, though apparently I just HAVE to read it! Damn Ashley Judd and her movie making. But, oh yeah! That metal fist thing was too cute. I've never seen it and thus, must promptly steal it. I love those little letter icons!
from ann-frank :
Ahh, well, the Halloween show is indeed, sold out. Which is a big fucking pain in my ass - because like the good little sheep I am, I heard the show was on sale thru their site BEFORE it was "officially announced" ( though what could be more official than their website? O ticketmaster, how I rue!) anyway, i went out immediately and bought a ticket because my pals were supposed to do the same. But NOOOOO they waited too long. So now, I am the proud owner of one ticket to the Trio on Halloween. I have no problem going out alone, but I was thinking of sending a shout out to dlanders who may be going that night - or just selling it on ebay. anyway, I guess I should have just said that in the first place.
from ann-frank :
i too, forgot about mates of state. are you going to alkaline trio on the 31st?
from moschikat :
you are too funny!! :P
from nikitac :
Yeah! I love my mac too!
from dirtnerdluv :
dude, you gotta get over your crush on Ellen Feiss...
from ann-frank :
weeeeelcome back!
from xmasface :
Hey. I just filled out yr survey on a random whim. Now, whenever I do things like that, I like to go to check out the person's diary in the hopes that it'll be interesting because I've found so few that I like. But yours is great! I've only read a couple of pages' worth, but your layout is great; very attractive and straightforward. So, I'm writing to say thank you!
from ingressofme :
ok.. .so let me tell you...i went to china last summer and bought a faye wong cd... let me tell you ... me and my friend chia-chi rocked out to it the whole time... damn... it that was hot.
from nikitac :
http://202.181.230.138/ Another scary movie website, too bad they don't have English version.
from ann-frank :
Can I just laugh? Because the whole Blue Meanies thing is cracking me up. I first saw The Blue Meanies play at a basement party when I was like, 16 and visiting my brother at college. And they only had 3 members as opposed to as to the perpetual line-up switch later on. Jim Cooely, some other fella and Bill Solader. I am not sure if thats how you spell Bills last name or not but it was before he went with Spunke or whatever it is now. Anyway, if you listen really hard to their live peace love groove CD you can hear me yelling a friends band name into the microphone. I was pretty obnoxious back then. Ok, so the point is I used to like them a lot.
from nerdalert :
hey i was spinning pop music & rap & shizzy at that thick records thingy!!! yeh for you going!
from dirtnerdluv :
Yeah Waking Life sucked. Just people "telling" me "deep" stuff that really isn't new. Like getting trapped at a party by some dude who thinks what he is saying is incredible but really isn't that interesting. blah!
from ann-frank :
oh, just you wait. you'll be tooling along one day with your children and you'll be listening to the alkaline trio or something and they'll be all "ewwwh, that is so OLD" then all the sudden you'll pull out the rockhand and then they'll be all "so. tired." and then they'll pull the rocktoe or whatever because the kids, they've always got to do it new. or something. umm.
from nerdalert :
hmmm....whooo arrrrrrrrrrrre yooooooooooooooou?
from jonasty :
howdy howdy! i was just cruisin the ol' d-land and found your diary... very fun! i'll be back later! byeee!
from ann-frank :
dear isra: a few things. 1. we need to get more people in here signing so it's not just one babble comment from me after another. 2. A TOWEL SERVICE? (hehe I dug through some of the archieves) adn 3. I will be sure to care $8.99 and not wear my tall shoes to the Mates of States show. Or the Gossip next week.
from ann-frank :
there must have been something going on in the midwest today because I spent a good portion watching the clock and watching jsbx videos on the matador website trying to MAKE TIME MOVE FASTER. What a nightmare.
from ann-frank :
Okay, 2 things. First of all let me state the obvious fuck Abercrombie and secondly, loving the footnotes.
from dirtnerdluv :
ha, no not the bike shorts steaming guy, who i have seen. it's usually burly comic bookstore kind of guys. it's a cult or something.
from nikitac :
Hi Isra! Thanks for the note and suggestion. I'm getting the CD.
from dirtnerdluv :
Tenacious D at the Virgin Mega store on 4/11 5pm-7pm is what I hear.
from dirtnerdluv :
dood, i agree with you about the ONE. what a waste of everyone's time. Kiss of the Dragon looks just as bad. in fact i'm not watching any new Jet Li movies unless 3 trusted film friends tell me it's ok.
from dirtnerdluv :
yes, i'm planning on learning some fake samurai sword moves also as part of my "craft".
from ann-frank :
MetroMix - AHHHHHHH! and please, don't feel the need to make the bullet point format extinct. It is you gd diary - do whatchoo wanna. It's the good stuff no matter what!
from dirtnerdluv :
yeah Hawaiians were so ripped off by the missionaries who, as the saying goes, went to do "good" and did "well". makes me mad just thinking about it. loved take the cannoli.
from jaynebunny :
Hey there! you have no idea how incredibly suprised i was to find a note from you on my diary..... just sayin hello and all that good stuff.... how's life been? IM me sometime, JayneMV
from dirtnerdluv :
My friend and I were talking about how the Double Door show will sell out fast. He said if it was just Billy C. alone playing the jewharp it would sell out. i said even if it was just him playing his bald head like a drum. "today is the best daaaaayyyyyy.....slap slap slap..."
from dirtnerdluv :
diamond encrusted pocky. the tiffany pocky. i read somewhere that some restaurant serves pocky with their ice cream. hmmm, maybe i read it in your diary? maybe not. but it sounds great anyway. ok, lunch time. char siu!
from ann-frank :
I spilled a little of my Biggie Coke curbside for Dave Thomas, yes I did. (p.s. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me either as I am now the second person left on earth who has not seen the royal tenenbaums.)
from dirtnerdluv :
i had similar experiences with the crowd at the Wilco show at the Riveria, although it was an older crowd then yours. i just want all the "whoooooooo"-ing to stop!
from dirtnerdluv :
i need to see the Harry Potter!!!! but man am i going to be pissed if it stinks. good thing i have low standards.
from ann-frank :

from ann-frank :
i am always leaving messages, I know - but that PICTURE! I have to copy it to warn the masses ... ugh ish ick blech ... after i wash the bad taste out of my mouth
from ann-frank :
White jeans! I had a lot of trouble coming up with a costume ... and then decided not to have one. THEN my friend e-mails me with this fab list ... too late for last saturday, but if I hafta go to this Halloween party my friend is having on Wednesday (?!!) then I'll go with a tacky torn evening gown, a tiara, a sash that says "runner up" and a black eye. Yeah, I know it's been done before, but it still cracks me up ...
from ann-frank :
A lot of the people I work with consider the packaged stuff from Jewel "good sushi". Not that I know any better, but something about that just doesn't seem ... right. love your diary
from mellowjello :
Nausicaa's not dead. Or maybe she is...but SailAway has a new beginning! I noticed she listed you as a favorite, as well.
