You know Ivy not every day can be perfect, but we can make it the best that we can. A person isn't always happy all the time, and can get funky and irratable sometimes. Our mind and bodies go through so much, that it is a wonder that we can stay so positive most of the time. Plus I think that you not getting alot of sleep and/or sleeping poorly does stress out a person. That is why I so love my naps, it helps me with my awful sleep patterns. Anyhoo, just wanted to let you know that it is alright to feel the way you do at times, we all have that, I know that I do. Take care. =^..^=

I go thru headphones like old underwear. Must break three or four each year. I can't seem to find a brand that fits my needs. The Sony brand seem to be too delicate for my taste. Radio Shack here I come. Have to weave another blanket this year. A gal in the office is due in November. At least I'll be able to get it done during football season. Minbless crocheting during the game. Just don't know what colors I'll be starting with this time. But I have plenty of yellow to make the trim. How's that pink eye coming along?

Oh I would love to know what kind of tea and how she made it. I drink oolong tea all the time. I crocheted a blanket for myself when I was done being a sophmore in college. I had just broken up with the first young man I really loved. So before my mom picked me up at my dorm, I went and bought enough yarn to crochet a blanket for myself. The colors were black, orange, and a bright yellow. The pattern I made was stripes. I started crocheting in the car on the way home from college. I crocheted and cried off and on all summer. When I was done that summer with the blanket I stopped crying. So you know, stripes are nice, if you want to make your stripes, go for it. I had that crocheted blanket up to a few years ago. I crocheted a blanket for a friend at the gym for his newborn. Now a gal a work is pregant and I will start a new one for her. Have to start before the weather gets to hot as the blanket warms too much. I wish I knew other patterns other than the popcorn stitch which is easy. Amazing how many stitches complete on blanket.

I love reading and most of the time I get really into anything I read. But then again I don't really start reading anything that sounds a bit dodgy or like something I won't like. Spud really surprised me, I didn't expect it at all. And now it's one of my top ten books. It's really lightly written and in the form of a journal so no hard concentration required. Get it from the lib - you won't be sorry. I got the time travellers wife, but I'm reading a Richard Laymon book first called Blood games, sort of like a 'wrong turn the movie' except in a book. And there are no dudes. It's really creepy though. I liked the Virginia Andrews series, it's just really sad and a *bit* long winded for me. You shoudl try getting 'It's me, Anna' from the lib too. Also South African but heart wrentching. You'll cry when you read it. But it was a good book. Maybe for the next package exchange I'll send you one of my books that I adore. :)

OMG. Poor girl though. that' pretty humiliating. When I still lived at home both my sisters walked in on us on two different occasions so that sucked. Can't imagine what her father said. Jeff (my boyfriend).. no we've hardly spoken. I mean a little, if I need him for anything he'll do it or be here to help me but I think right now we're just taking a break from each other to decide what to do next. I don't think either of us know whether this new living arrangement is permanent or not. We've been together nearly 7 years so it's not something you can just turn off, ya know? One way or another we'll most likely be in each other's lives (whether just as friends or more). Your cat probably needs the soothing breathing you are doing. My Idamay does that alot, though she is on my back. After years of this, I guess I would have to say I am sort of used to it. As for birthdays, aren't you young to feel so bitter sweet about them? I am just happy to turn another year and feel that I made it alive. I turned 52 on Nov. 11th, and I find that I still have issues with my parents. I am sure that since you read what I write, you have noticed that. Parents I think, on the whole are frustrating. Yes I took that baby picture. I take most of the pictures I have posted in Diaryland here. I mention if I didn't, to give credit to who did. The book you are referring to with the recipe for the cat tunnel is titled: "Drunk, Divorced & Covered in Cat Hair" by Laurie Perry. On page 255 in my copy there isn't a cat tunnel recipe, just a blank page so I think you can create one. Another book about knitting is: "Chicks with Sticks(It's a Purl Thing)" by Elizabeth Lenhard. It is a novel actually, with a section with bonus patterns and projects. Glad to read and hear you are still working on the hat by the way. I know that exact feeling about your cat!! It startles me so when little Idamay jumps on the bed then proceeds to lounge on me. Remember Idamay has only one front leg, so it is most definitely what I call her, "power paw." I swear even though you know who it is, you react the same over and over again. Hi, a girl can't have too many purses I say. I have a Coach purse, my husband bought it, I never would have. It has a life-time warranty, so if it needs leather sewing or something on it, it is free. Now here is the kicker, It cost $495.00 10 years ago. It still is my everyday purse. So just for the heck of it, you should go to www.coach.com and look at the purses. The one I have they still make, it is called the Willis Bag. Anyhoo, I made a purse out of my jeans one summer, the bandana purse sounds like fun to sew. Take care. =^.^==

Hi you. Thanks for the note. The garden has all sorts of stuff, flowers, shrubs, fruit and veg.....above all though it has the most horrid midges that are totally horrid to me. I have a bite from three weeks ago that is now a scab and have been bittent o bits the last two days! My arm is agony, all swollen and puffy and the little blighters have now had a right good chomp on my leg. This NEVER happens in my own garden. Hope you have a good weekend.

Hi there. I used to be a regular Hollyoaks viewer....every Sunday morning I watched the omnibus edition as I ironed...and ironed and ironed. Don't watch it quite as often these days as the timings aren't as good for my schedule....BUT I do enjoy it!

Hey Ivy, I did create that picture on my site. I found a piece of clip art that I liked, traced it onto a blank sheet of paper, ammended it to add certain extra things (like a ponytail) and then used my kids' water colors to paint it. I then scanned the finished version onto the computer and placed it on my template. Maybe I'll throw a little tag line on the bottom to say: artwork by Cardiogirl. But because I traced it I feel like a poser. Thanks for the comment!

Bizarrely, my panic attack didn't start until this morning. There's nothing I could have done for her other than be at the other end of the phone, so at the time that's how I thought. When I sent her texts this morning that weren't answered I did start to panic. She's ok though, she just didn't wake up that early due the the events that night. I'm more relaxed now...

Hi there, my son and husband went to see the movie, "Transformers" on Tuesday, and then my son and some of his friends went to see it again on Wednesday. Apparently my son really liked it, my husband didn't say too much about it, other than it was loud. The meeting with the 25 year old pregant lady went fine. She is a petite blonde and very pregant, in her last three months. She had to go back home because she worked on the 4th, she is currently working at a Wal-Mart for something to do. She said that now that she knows where we(my husband and I) live, and when she gets two days off in a row, maybe, if it is alright with us, she can come and visit. I said sure, why not. So have a good day today. =^..^=

Cheers for the message. I've been looking at what you guys get on BBC America. My faves on the A-Z list have to be the Office ( the original version - not the US remake ), Little Britain, Murphy's Law, Doctor Who ( a british institution - even if it is naff ), and the naked chef ( just 'cos I love the way Jamie cooks ). Haven't ever seen Hex or Hollyoaks, so I can't help you with what's going to happen...
