i know! i know! i LOVED that movie and I can't wait for it to come out so i can buy it and watch it even more lots and i have the soundtrack and i love it too but not as much because it leaves the visuals up to me and i want to be lazy and just watch someone else do the visuals and i'm nuts too and this note is silly but anyway the moral of the story is *LOVE!* and also an especially large and very real hug to you dear. i wish you'd move here and stalk me 'cause i would stalk you back.

OH! I just realized that my "Boo!" from previous note {see below} could be taken as a negative statement much like "Hiss!" at a concert or public theatrical performance. But this is not how it was intended! It was intended as a small element of surprise much in the way that you might {meaning I might} sneak up on a person and say "Boo!" with mock dramatical influence upon the word. So, yes, I was with the mock dramaticalness not the onomatopoeia of disgust and displeasure. Now, I don't remember what I was going to say in this note previous to the explanation but I guess that's a tragedy the world will recover from somehow.

Of the small, tiny, count-on-one-hand number of people I've gotten to be crazy-anonymous-friends with.... you are most definately one. I'm keeping you. So there! HA! (PS I meant to tell you ages ago that when I was little I had the Mary Poppins soundtrack on LP. 'Cause even in the single digits, I was cool like that. I brought it to school in March so that we could all sing "Let's go FLY a kite. UP to the HIGHEST height!" ... cause when your a single digit that's what they have you do in school in the windy month of March, fly kites. And why exactly was I so looking forward to getting out of grade school, hitting the grand age of 19 - which I thought was the coolest age to be for reasons I'll explain some other day or maybe in my diary cause this note is already waaaay to damn long - and getting out into the world of grown-ups??? I'm pretty sure I was only looking for a later bed time. This is silly because now all I want to do is go to bed. Life is a circle of practical jokes on ourselves.)

Yeah, I'm serious. :) Silly as it is, I managed to get a copy of the soundtrak to "Once Bitten" just because the music from that movie makes me feel all happy and bouncy. I think the little joys in life like that are what keep us going - and I am surrounded by Disney stores, so no problem at all to snag you a "Mary Poppins" soundtrack. Oh, and I meant to say this earlier: I didn't like Fred Astaire right at first because the first thing I saw him in was "Daddy Long Legs" and then I saw him in (I think it was) "The Sky's The Limit" and those movies made him look like such a dirty old man... but then I saw "Swing Time" and realized it wasn't his fault they paired him with people young enough to be his children. I think I really fell in love with him after listening (too many times, probably) to "Cheek to Cheek" on "The English Patient" soundtrack. Now I'm probably the only girl in the world with Fred Astaire, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Nine Inch Nails, The Beatles... etc. etc. If I'm not, I'm certainly a member of a very exclusive group! (Sorry this is so long. I'd email it but... I... uh. yeah.)

i just happened to realize how incredibly long it's been since i came by and wrote something stupid and pointless in your notes ... so there you go. Well... alright. i'll say something else so this isn't QUITE so stupid and pointless.... like today i answered the phone at work and temporarily forgot where i worked and then it came to me and i said it and they said "Hello, May I speak to Pascal, please?" and i replied "Sowri, you have the incorrecdt nombear." and then I hung up and laughed and laughed until my coworkers became curious and i told them why i was laughing and they didn't get why it was funny. then again, neither do i. (both the strange accent that suddenly popped out and the word "incorrect" - prounouced with rolled Rs as best i can roll them and with a sort of D sound at the end - instead of the much more popular word for that phrase... "WRONG".) it's my new favorite quote and nobody gets it. "incorrecdt nombear" ... by the way... this was still stupid and pointless and long to boot.

A fast food restaurant was having a special one summer... banana milkshake. Being a huge fan of banana popsicles I decided to try it. It. Was. Quite. Awful. Really, really bad, with chunky bits that had a very unpleasant consistancy. When we stopped at a store I poured it out before I went inside. When we came out, there by the car was a runny white puddle with sun browned chunks in it. I never looked at bananas the same again. You can't trust them, they'll turn all brown and squidgy on you the second you turn your back.

An oak tree and an elf????...really??? YOU may be feeling creative, BUT I, on the other hand avoid the "KEEBLER ELVES" and there satanic 'cookie rituals'. Chanting, hands held together in little circles, deep inside their hollowed out oak trees. A huge fire with a blackened, soot covered cauldran(sp) bubbling with exotic batter used in making their crackers and cookies. They put something in their crackers, like a hallucanigen (sp) or something.....makes you hear little voices. They speak in whispers, things like "have another cookie" and "slice out your eardrum with a lobster fork". Sometimes they sneak under your bed....like bugs....and like land-locked dolphins and sharks...beating the underside of your bed with their dorsal fins...whispering.."flipper...flipper...come back flipper...i'm gonna eat you...free willy"

ok wearing purple and the rules:- day time to non-specific place has to be lilac, now it can have purple print on top but not all purple. This can be lilac bottoms or top, if it is bottoms then match with white or most pastels just don't get carried away or you'll end up looking like a 5yr old. If it's lilac top then go for faded jeans(this looks fabbb)or black jeans or black trousers(depending on the overall style of the top ie glam or casual) Now night time is different altogether you can really go for it!!! Just remember that purple is renouned for being a hippy colour so unless your going for that look becareful. If your going out for dinner you want rich dark purple in a soft cashmere style material(this makes you look confident and warm and sexy) always remember not to wear patterned clothes with what ever purple item you are wearing, this will stop the hippy look. Now if you are going out dancing you don't want the main colour to be purple, you need to look for a black top which has been decorated with some wild purple beads, or if you like light colours then look for a white or pink top that has splash's of lilac shining beads or sequinned of course orrr one of my favorites glitter!! the glitter specked lilac top would work wonders with (as above) the faded jeans i mentioned for that non-specific outing you mentioned. Just becareful it doesn't border on tacky (don't buy cheap clothes) Well if i've missed any thing out please let me know, and of course this is not the bible this is just my bible!! let me know what you think ok. purplemin ^Å^

i was talking to one of my instructors today and we were discussing how most artist get discouraged because they get in the way of what the medium wants to do. they try to manipulate the medium too much and it starts to get frustrating. this leads a lot of artist to just give up. i don't know if that is what happens to you but i might be something to look into. what school do you go to? you should read the art of seeing by adious huxley it is really interesting. i hate to see artists give up. since i am so passionate about it.

i don't feel contemporary art is empty, it just has a different idea behind it. it is more...working with colors and imagry to draw out emotion rather than concept. not only that but i think art changed a lot after the dadaist movement. people started looking at anything as a possible piece of art. i think today the masters art lacking in excitement because it has all been seen a thousand times before and though it may be beautiful in its own right it doesn't excite me when i look at it like someone like tony mueck would.

I'm walkin in the bright Jamaican sun in the town of Ochos Rios, when this rather large (as in Wanda-rotunda) black woman say 'she wanna show meer stuff'. She pulls me into this darkened little cubical, not noticing that I was probably the only white male within a few blocks. She shows me all kinds of charms, bracelettes, necklaces, and novelties. After much discussion, and many incessant suggestions and prods from the woman, I notice this black necklace. It was an elephant cut from stone and polished till it gleamed. Its trunk was up and its diamond eye glimmered at me neath the tropical sun. I was under its spell. I put it on and paid the lady what she asked. (way too much I suspect) But I love it dearly. Last month, I was in the town of 108. (Eight miles north of 100 Mile House, British Columbia, Canada) I was visiting with my cousin who is very intuitive. She can accurately read fortunes, and guide you. She told me then, that my animal guide was the elephant...all without knowing my Mexican treasure. Goes to show...that if it feels right...then there must be a reason. DAC
