from paradiggum :
Hello, long time no hear. I don't know if you'll get this but if you do my old email is still working. Drop me a line. I thought I found you on Facebook but apparently I said hello to a stranger. :) Hope all is well.
from f-i-n :
hugs and kisses!
from dykeinside :

from soltera :
i wish you luck on your new adventure! please send me a link, as i LOVE to read your writing and it's such an inspiration to me: [email protected].
from irishblueyes :
hi, just left a note earlier and i'm sorry to hear you have to move your diary, i'd really love to know the new one, but i understand if you're not comfortable giving that information out to someone who just started reading. have a great night.
from irishblueyes :
You have a wonderful diary and seem to be an extremely insightful person, which is so rare. Just wanted to say hi.
from lulu-burden :
Hi, I really like your diary. You seem like a very interesting person. Stop by my page and say hi sometime ; ) Later-Lulu
from raven72d :
I only just saw the 9 August 04 autobiography... As always-- thoughtful and lovely. And I'm glad you like Tim Ferris' books.
from againthen :
yay, someone with a banner that has a good layout.
from soltera :
10/18/04 - i love Brian Greene too!! he absolutely floored me one time when i caught him on david letterman. i wrote about it in my other journal. maybe i'll cut and paste it. anyway i just wanted you to know that i really look up to you and your writing is inspiring so please don't stop!!
from arandomname :
I don't know what to say honey, except that I've been there, and after it ended, all I could think about that time was that he was a Bad Boyfriend and how could I have tolerated that? I don't want to be negative, but your experience is so close to one of my own that I have to say it. I was in love with him too, and I tried and I tried and it hurt me and made me really upset every time. I now have a Very small tolerance for a partner that makes excuses for making me a low priority.
from raven72d :
I spent this morning in court getting a preliminary injunction for a client so that her lunatic ex-brother-in-law couldn't threaten her. I spent the evening teaching History to undergraduates. And at some point I'm puzzling my way through Brian Greene's new book, trying to follow along with explanations of non-locality and quantum mechanics.
from raven72d :
Last night "Brief History of Time" was on Discovery Science Channel. I first saw the film in '92 or '93; I've always liked it. And seeing it did make me think of you.
from raven72d :
I'm always interested in girls who talk about International Threat Analysis-- a chance to use some of the things I learned during all those years in grad school.
from punkedupqt :
love your template. just clicked in from a banner... so whats ur name and how old r u? im meredith... gonna be 15 in 2 weeks. well gots to run... allioop! -meredith:)
from pandionna :
Hello! Just clicking in from a banner ad. Please don't mind me while I raise your hit count a bit!
from raven72d :
What do you think of "M Theory"? And...please don't vanish altogether. There are those of us who like you and enjoy reading you and do want you around...
from raven72d :
J.-- I hope the Arabic exams go well for you. Good luck!
from raven72d :
You're an admirable person, J. The e-mail to the bike team was wonderful.
from raven72d :
If you'v reached that feeling, then it is time to cut loose and move on.
from raven72d :
The entry on loss and remembering people... That was haunting and lovely.
from raven72d :
Jonathan Carroll-- interesting choice.
from rabifiedbaby :
You're a cool person don't let people/yourself think otherwise.
from raven72d :
SOmeone who makes you feel safe is so very valuable...
from raven72d :
"Club Dumas" is wonderful!
from cornnugget :
I really appreciate your outlook on keeping people in your life. I envy that you have been able to hold on to friendships when the love failed. I wish I could experience the same. But the other party has to have that point of view as well and I wasn't so lucky. Going to return to your diary..you have a lot to say.
from raven72d :
Glad to hear the fundraiser went well.
from raven72d :
Good luck on the US AID interview!
from raven72d :
Sorry to hear about your friend. Condolences, girl. Condolences.
from raven72d :
Johns Hopkins... I applied to SAIS once upon a time, but they required more Economics background than I had...so I ended up at Int'l Relations at Yale, but found it dishearteningly statistical-analysis oriented... I've always wanted to learn Farsi or Turkic-- but Arabic is always a resume builder!
from cheshireluci :
Whoa! Layout change! :) I'll have to get used to it, but I do like not having the blaring yellow now. Have you gotten my email?
from raven72d :
Hmmm... your reviewers seem to have problems with "solely"... They want to spell it "soully"... Now-- do you play any complex card games (picquet, whist, bezique) or play Go or shogi?
from crazystar01 :
hi...I'm not very good with computers so I thought I would ask you...can anyone check who's been reading their diary or searching for them online? If so, how do you do that? Or do you need some sort of tracking software or something? I figured if anyone would know, you would! Thanks so much!
from heartylaugh :

from aznchica0922 :
i wus lookin at random diaries.. and i came across urs! ooh sounds juicy.. details please?? lol
from widower :
that guy obviously has too much time on his hands....
from raven72d :
I would never let criticism from someone who uses "your" for "you're" bother me. And, given the nature of a diary, how can any diary *not* seem "self-absorbed"? A diary is writing about oneself, after all. Let's say that I for one will keep reading and that I find what you have to say interesting.
from raven72d :
Congrats on being an aunt! I vur' much enjoy being an Unk to my little nephew and nieceling...
from raven72d :
Louisiana, actually. But there is a Wienerschnitzel here! I'm addicted to their chili dogs!
from raven72d :
I hope that one day you'll explain radians and secants to me.
from koolaid420 :
I read your entries everytime you update. They're so great.
from raven72d :
Thank you! (I love Thai rice soup, by the way)... And are you a reader of Epictetus?
from raven72d :
I loved the list... You have such eclectic and wide-ranging tastes...
from raven72d :
Have a 2004 ("the year Four") full of successes and delights!
from raven72d :
I hope you have the picture, the frame, and the palette as well (just for pentimentos...)
from raven72d :
Savannah! How lovely a city... And-- the toys for charity at Xmas is wonderful thing.
from banefulvenus :
Your site still rocks! I read the last entry. It sounds like you're pretty busy!
from raven72d :
Are you a fan of Roger Lewin's science writing?
from raven72d :
I hope you have excellent holiday plans and experiences.
from widower :
I really liked the lyrics. I wish diaryland had some way I could hear the music that was going through your head...
from raven72d :
Thanks-- the holiday was brief but relaxing. Read a lot, slept, unwound.
from raven72d :
Happy Birthday!
from widower :
Happy Birthday!
from dani-lou :
Great entry! I have that same issue sometimes. I wonder if it isn't my indepence that gets me there. Hugs, Dani.
from raven72d :
I hope you do get your pilot's license one day...
from raven72d :
22 November is my birthday... And-- how was Hawaii?
from raven72d :
As someone trying to learn Japanese, the little quotations at your entries are fun...and, yes, helpful.
from raven72d :
I love going out and looking at winter skies and stars... And reading about astronomy.
from raven72d :
Do feel better.
from raven72d :
I can watch "Spirited Away" over and over... And Thai rice soup would be excellent right now.
from missleigh :
I thought Spirited Away was just beautiful. And thanks for the Whale Rider recommendation, I've read about it, and it sounds great. Take care :)
from widower :
You should really read the story in this issue of wired about how diamonds in a lab could soon put De Beers and other diamond suppliers out of business. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/11.09/diamond.html
from chazaq :
you're amazing.
from raven72d :
Mark Helprin, too... I loved his "A Soldier of the Great War"...
from raven72d :
I really have to say that I find your diary amazing. I have an MA (Int'l Relations) and a PhD (History, eastern Europe and Russia/nationalism) and a JD (civil law tradition). And I've always been fascinated by physics and astronomy, even though I have vur' little math talent. A site with links to art history and string theory does appeal to me. And you're a fine and thoughtful writer. You're a find-by-serendipity Saturday afternoon discovery, but I will be back to read you often. Please do feel invited to come explore my own site. All the best, then. Enjoy your weekend.
from drowning13 :
You are very kind. Thank you. I tried to read your diary, but all I got was a big grey screen...must be because I'm on a crappy iMac. Seems to happen a lot when I try to access other d-land diaries. Cripes!
from justamephit :
*falls in love* Oh my God, your diary is amazing. This is absolutely wonderful. I have never been so thankful for a random click in my life. I've only read three entries and I'm hooked. You move me utterly. *gush gush gush* Right, I'm going to start burbling and get reading. Thank you :)
from brain-dump :
Hi, I clicked on you from mllerouge's diary. Interesting reading! (and I could see it fine, don't know if you changed something or what)
from odalisk :
I just clicked on your banner...your page seems pretty cool but the font of your entries is so small, and so smushed together, that I could hardly get through a paragraph without giving up. I dunno, I thought maybe you'd want feedback or something.
from peach-sorbet :
found you through a banner, just wanted to applaud your love for dave matthews band, they're the next best thing to perfection. =)
from everoboto :
Hi there, I found you through your banner. I dig your profile and your writing style. I look forward to catching up on your entries. \m/
from widower :
I'm really enjoying your diary! I've read through half of it so far. I'll read through the other half tomorrow! I'm adding you to my favorites.
from neangel :
W-O-W; what more can I say? i agree w/ dani-lou. I like your writing style as well. take care!
from dani-lou :
Great summary of yourself. I like your writing style. I'm glad you are living life to the fullest. Hugs, Dani.
from terrarose :
You and I have a lot in common - I'm glad I came across your diary - very nicely done =)
from cheshireluci :
smiles and a big hello hug for you! very good 'Nutshell' entry!
from mllerouge :
My, you ARE a mass of contradicitons aren't you? LOL I have to say you don't look ANYTHING like I had imagined. I had this picture in my head of.... well, and Analyst for the Defense Dept. Beautiful, but mostly from the inside. And brunette. You are one of the lucky few to get the whole package, beauty, brains, great personality. I've been reading from the beginning, and I have to say - if Jeff and I ever end up in your neck of the woods... I'd be pleased to count you among the people I know. You - so far anyway - inspire me.
from livefan91200 :
I happened to stumble upon your diary and must say it's touching and surprisingly honest... you don't find many people that will put what you have on the internet for anyone to see and I admire you for your bravery. I can relate a lot with how you describe yourself meaning that most people don't show as much compassion or just plain kindness anymore and anyone who does is considered strange or abnormal. Don't ever change who you are. I shall be visiting again sometime. L'amour toujours ~LP
from mllerouge :
Wow. Thanks for the wonderful note. Isn't it funny how somebody always comes along to say whatever it is that you need to hear ..... as long as you're listening. I loved today's entry too, I believe that it tells me something about my life as it is now. (The good part, that is!) Thank you again.
from cheshireluci :
HI! I just wanted to say hello and that I added you to my favs. The fact that you are consciously deciding to make your life better is most attractive to me, as I am trying to do the same from the inside out. :) Your questions and your thoughts are honest and wonderful. It is somewhat relieving to find someone trying to do the same thing right now. Comforting, in a way. I like what you said about fractals and Pollock- very interesting- which I didn't know. And the time quote, about how time, well nevermind, that would take too long, but it was an easier way to explain (in a way) how I've looked at it, since I'm so horrible at explaining thoughts. Plus, I was impressed that you like Robin Williams and The Fisher King!!! God that is such a wonderful movie with so many incredible undertones! Anyway, a friendly hug! :)
from officegal :
i love the way you write. i hope i am that happy someday:) best of luck. note me back if u want:)
from sunksunk :
nice poem. beautiful.
from ladybugthe2 :
i loved it
from gods :
testing 1, 2, click .. banner .. click ..
from calliston :
Love the writing style. So very poetic. And your da Vinci quote. I have a quote I like alot too, but it contradicts with the one you had on your banner. It goes "It's LIFE, you don't figure it out. You just get on the damned beast and RIDE." A touch unorthodox, I know, but hell, I like it. Anywho, note me back sometime, k?
from opticheart :
I was up late and stumbled upon your banner. Just wanted to tell you that you are beautiful.
from dani-lou :
I like your entry about life. Very nice. Best wishes, Dani.
from wordsofmine :
Surfing along thourgh Diaryland and came across your site. I love the look and your song resonates with me. Keep up the good work. I like your outlook on life. mz. em
from bumpkin024 :
That is really....weird....that I stumbled on your journal today of all days. Let's just say I can relate to your song!
