When I was 3, my grandmother was telling me how my baby brother should look like her, and I explained to her that it wouldn't be that way because "Black people have black babies, and white people have white babies!" I of course was talking about hair color... of course! :) PS> How much longer til little one comes?

Thanks for the advice. You're right it's not really about us, its just that we're both busy and stressed about work/family/money etc. etc. and we're not really communicating it as well as we usually do and end up angry at each other instead of supporting each other. We're usually pretty good, which is why all this small stuff is irritating. We're better than this, and I'm sure things will get better soon. P.S. Good luck with the house hunting!
|
| from
lass : |

Is there such a thing as a buyer's agent there? We hired a realtor for the express purpose of representing us with the owner of our current house - we don't have to pay her anything unless she finds us a place to live. Also, did I ever give you my new blog address? I'll email it if you'd like.
|
| from
lass : |
|
You have no idea how closely I can relate to the househunting. S. and I are in a similar state right now - living on a short-term lease and hoping we won't have to move twice. It's fun to look, but I agree that people seem to want you to make what in my mind is a once/twice in a lifetime decision so quickly! Our realtor has been very patient with us - hopefully she will remain so. Good luck to you and Heidi!

Just an idea to consider.. I got married at 6 AM! The sun had just risen, we were at a lookout point and then we had a smorgasbord buffet breakfast for the reception. All you can eat bacon, eggs etc. Wedding cake and coffee for morning tea. All over by 11.30am. Low cost of alcohol (only champagne) and you get to spend the rest of the day together as a married couple rather than falling exhausted into bed at 2am. Secondly, 30 sounds ominous but it's actually fantastic! I'm loving my 30's more than I ever enjoyed my 20's. You'll be fine. t.

Being from a redneck state myself, I think I know why Kerry would so such a stupid thing! This last stunt was probably a direct response to billboards that are popping up that shows a French poodle wearing a Kerry sweater and says "That dog won't hunt", sponsored by the National Rifle Association that points out that Kerry has voted against sportsmans rights for the last 20 years! God help us all if this issue is a deciding factor in the election! <>< stitch

You could always apply for jobs elsewhere and keep it on the DL. Worst case scenario, you leave and have a position waiting for you. Best: things get better, you've had more practice with interviews (always important), and you can always turn any job offers down (and they're a nice ego stroke). Anyway, I hope things improve and I'm sorry you've been down in the dumps. I'm glad you're being pro-active though.

Too funny, Jason, who indeed would have you as a role model?! Evil sex toy(hmm, man boobs), or voodoo doll maybe (just to stick pins up your arse), but role model? You should have sent her a nice reply simply stating that as a God that she herself has appointed, it is your duty to be as debauched as you can possibly be. Oh man... I can see where this is going to lead. Some versions of "Aquaman" will be born and reared in suburban swimming pools. Others will be born "au naturale" in ponds and tidal pools. A hierarchy will develop. Those babies born in swimming pools will get bullied by the tough kids from "across the acquifer" who were born in tidal pools. I'm not even going to get into how much more complicated this will make the design of car seats. Look at all the trouble you are causing... hehehe
|

You know Jason, that auqaman idea, is pretty damn appealing. I would GLADLY give birth to the child, as long as i'm impreganated by a handsome, tall, dark australian(possibley italian... whatever, i'm not that picky), and you take the kid after it's born. I'll gladly nourish it while it's in my womb. But i'm not keeping it and you can take full responsiblity after the child is born. Oh, and id ont want any media coverage. Hit me back ;P

-one part vodka,
-two parts Peachtree (keep an open mind),
-one part cranberry juice,
-spash lime,
It's called a Shy Slut. "SHI" as in, Shelter Harbor Inn (where I waitressed for years and years). "Slut" because it's cool.
I helped invent it and got everyone, including some customers, hooked.

UGHHH, and now that i am looking for something that can tide me over and at least bring in a little income.... I may have to resort to that.. (and, truthfully...i don't wanna) I like the cushey jobs...working in front of a 'puter entering info in a database... answering phones --what have you...anything beats punching the keys on a cash register.. and putting up with the disgruntled during the holiday season..oooo, i hated that...(but, i guess your supposed to just grin and bare it...) well, i did that..then afterward swore my head off when the day was over... I don't think i ever wrote about the shit horror stories that happened at work... put it this way... shit stains all on the carpet in the mens department.... fuckin dirtbags

Dude, I always thought I had the wierdest family on earth but nobody has ever tried to convince me to sell drugs to schoolchildren. I think that worse stories lurk in my family - one, in particular, involving amateur porn and suicide - but I never met the people involved, and that's different than being on the receiving end of some very dirty dealing. A lot easier.

"My life has a soundtrack. I think everyones does. Songs which to me represent not just a part of my life but exactly how I felt at the time it was going on." i just found your diary at random by searching for people who live in melbourne (cuz im backpacking through melbourne at the moment) and i came across this. my best friend and i used to have hours of discussions about what we called the "soundtrack of our lives". i even made her a tape for her bday that represented the soundtrack of our friendship. so reading these exact words from someone ive never met was truly a weird experience. people are more alike than you'd expect i guess!

I'm all for animal rights and everything, but those bloody kangaroos deserve those roo bar things. My brother was crossing the Nullabor on his motorbike a couple of years ago and a kangaroo literally jumped out at him. He of course fell off and wrecked his knee. Thankfully though his bike wasn't too damaged and he was able to ride on to the next town (a few hours away) to get treatment. Nullabor should mean 'The Dwelling Place of Psychotic Killer Kangaroos'.

you’re not losing your mind. The world is in fact NOT against you! don't know whether you've ever lived alone with anyone that's manic depressive, but i've found over the years that i just kinda ride the wave with my mum. if she's depressed or angry, she shows it, which makes me depresed and angry. and same goes when she's manic. she came home last night very happy and we chatted so i'm feeling good about her now :) and the hair. christ. that is just me being the indecisive wanker i am! :) i started wearing a bra in yr 4 too, woe is me.

Now I see you have a problem with the lies (note to self, don't trust jason)
But i can explain the towel thingy. Did you know that when a whip cracks, it is actually breaking the sound barrier. So reason would say that this is what a towel does also, so you may not have lied to your sister...
Well actually you didn't lie to your sister, i have my sources and that piece of information is correct. Hope i have not ruined your lies...
but here is one for you... George Washintion had false teeth. ok it doesn't sound weird, but the false teeth were mad of wood.

Do you know I would kill to have freakishly long eyelashes? I just paid $23 USD for some miracle mascara. Yeah, I'm a sucker.
Laffed my ass off at the shitstirring entry. I think we work with the same people. Did cult woman also get involved in selling long distance and pre-paid legal services? If so, I think she used to be a he, and he used to work with me. Until he got fired. Partly for soliciting in the office, and partly because he sucked. Mostly because he sucked.

the club entry..
omg..i totally agree.
ya know, i've done my club days.. (gotten picked up god knows how many times... have had guys buy me drinks expecting for more.. only to be dissapointed in the end.. ;-) sorry guys!)Hey, i've told them straight out, if i was taken...and still they seem to think that was okay 'still' to try to get me into the sack. I think out of all the times i've gone clubbing.... 2 or 3 guys stepped back and acknowledged the fact that, i wasn't looking for a one nighter..just a good time dancing and meeting new people... and hey, they still opted to buy me drinks.. and vice versa..i'd buy a round or two. But,I'd have to say... clubbing days weren't all that bad!! There was even times i've walked into the ladies room only to find out there was a screw-fest going on in one of the stalls... I say, once ya get out of that 'club-scene' the bar scene or just a good resturaunt to sit and chill with friends is so much better. And, hey you can still flirt with the cute waiters (or waitresses for you guys..) :)

i understand the problem... I to find it funny to lagh at amaway. Those that sell it really are very touchy about it though. They will fight as hard as they can to convince you that it is no sterio type... them ask you to sign up, give them money with no chance of seeing it again. And you so know that the person that is selling it to you has not made it because their car (a panel van) broke down on the way to the meeting, and they have not had a hair cut in about 6 months, and seem to be half drunk.
You my friend make me laugh. And I thank you for that.

I know you and I HAVE to be related!!!!!....I am totally the same way!!!
And really how do you know if it is... did he tell you it was a gift or maybe something in your brain got scrambled. okay i have one for you:
ME :when god said let there be light ( or something like that as you can see i'm NOT a bible beater...)if there was no dark and there was no light What was there?
She: there was nothing
ME: but isnt nothing something?
She: no there was just nothing but god
ME: but isnt god something?
She: NO there was JUSt nothing!!!!
ME: but you said god was there.... so god is something.
She: UGH!!!... there was JUST nothing!!!!
ME: but god was there...so there was something
By this point if looks could kill.. i would have died 6 times over!!!!
so like I said before, we have to be related...LONG live Mischief- Makers!!!!

Hi, thank you..you're a sweetie as always. The whole thing about Star and me. It's all crazy, and stupid. So, yeah...that how it goes.

Yes, the real kicker is that it wasn't his spelling in general but the section on words with alternate spellings. Like their/there and where/wear and stationery/stationary. Anyone can fuck those up. I think the worst part of it is the way it made him feel. Like he was stupid. his general spelling is good, his grammer is very good. I made th epoint once of tellin him how pathetic IQ tests were, that they don't really gauge a persons intelligence, I mean there are so many factors for making a person smart....so i can't even say to him that he has a high IQ. (Which he does, but since I don't really believe in the little number, and he knows it, I can't suddenly pretend like I do) Still, there's still teh actual tests with the MP's. Psyche of course gets the final say, but spelling? It's no fun watching the one you love eat himself up inside. Oh well, thanks for the donkeys hell bent on world domination. I needed that chuckle today.

Your guest book bites ass. I went back a bit to read the ones I've missed. July 23 was a screamer. Now I know the next time I am driving down a highway in the middle of nowhere and I see a shoe on the side of the road, that it's most likely yours. And I think we had synchronised nose bleeds. Only mine was in the middle of sex and I bled all over my husbands chest. Apparently that is NOT a turn on. (who knew?) I am so up for running nude under the sprinkler. Only I'll take a rain check on it until we move to a more nude running friendly climate. like Townsville. you'll see me naked under the sprinkler on my front lawn with a driver in hand practising my drives on the cane toads. Apparently they make a lovely *thwack* sound. Cheers.

heheh Leisuresuit Larry. There's a name I haven't heard in ages. I never managed to finish the first game. I could only ever get up to the bit where you have to go to the drugstore to buy the new wife a bottle of wine. You try to get back to the hotel, and the only way I could see to do so was to take a taxi. The driver inevitably took the bottle from you, crashed the cab, and you died. Never got past it. Gee I hope you've played the game, or else you have no idea what I'm rambling about. *shuts up*

I have a favourite pair of jeans, but I cant wear them anymore. I bought them when I was 16. They're hipster bootlegs and have a button fly. It's the buttons I like the most. They have stars on them. Anyway, a few months ago I had a rather sharp drop in weight, and now I can almost pull those jeans down without undoing any of the buttons. Guess I cant complain though, really. I'd rather have a slimmer arse than still be able to fit into those jeans.

fucking signmyguestbok is being a bitch. so, here I am, and here's what I was going to say: we don't have muck up day in qld, which is where I graduated from. although, people still do weird stuff. example: my friend john dug up the time capsule that was due to be dug up in 2005, looked at the contents, added his own note, and buried it again. someone stole the volleyball net (actually, the year before us had a comptetition to see who could steal the most expensive item from the school. the winner was a friend of mine, who stole the front gates, the pride and joy of my princpal). someone else put a shitload of red food dye into the swimming pool. and last year, the brother of john (the capsule-digger-upper) sprayed the entire teacher body with a fire extinguisher. it was great.

Hey Jace. I've also known many beautiful people who've killed themselves or tried. It's very tragic. And, about that teacher's pet thing... trust me, there were many teachers who didn't care for me or my smart mouth. All the teachers that signed my yearbook were my father's friends and/or friends of the family. But, you're bascially right - I've always been a good student (one of my few talents), so I've been a teacher's pet more than once. But, you know, not all of them appreciated my dry wit. Even if they laughed.

Jason, what about those people out there (namely kids and teens) that do ask for help?... and they are told... "oh your ok... you'll grow out of it" what about them?... i also have known many who have killed them selves. I am one of the ones who tried, but didnt succeed. my friend found me in a puddle of vomit. i had taakin two bottles of pills and some vodka. .. now i love life (most times) and i am thankfull for my second chance. parents need to listen when there teens say they will kill them selves... or even just watch for the signs of depression.
keep smiling.... and farting....lol

Jason Robinson you have to know that i am SO SLOW in picking up sarcasm.
I actually have had quite a few dreams about keeping a band (both of which caused me to wake up, falling down on the floor, non- carpeted which HURT!:P)
On a more kinder note, you rock for telling me i'm a nerd I don't mind it really i do not i actually like life from here
Better say Bye so Hugs and Kisses Multiply this by infinity thatz how much i care : XOXOXO

Don't ask. Just pass this on. A certain Mr. Jones from Swahililand got this letter and didn't follow the directions. Nothing happened. Anne Elk of London received it the next day and forgot about it. Nothing happened to her either. Mo Ron of Ann Arbor, MI got this in the mail, did nothing about it, then tripped over the dog. But he trips over the dog every morning so it was probably unrelated. Pass this on to ten people or nothing will happen. That's right. Nothing. Do you really think you can risk it?
|
| from
quietdespair : |
|
Dont ask me, i just got it in the mail, and would like
pass it on, it gave me sumthin to do, oh well.....
CASE 1:
Kelly Seedy had one wish, for her
boyfriend of three
years, David Marsden, to propose to
her. Then one day
when she was out to lunch, David
proposed! She
accepted. But she! then had to leave
because she had a
meeting in 20 min. When she got back
to her office she
noticed on her computer she had e-mail.
She checked
it, the usual stuff from friends, but
then she saw one
that she had never seen before. It was
this very letter.
She simply deleted it, without reading
it. BIG
MISTAKE!! Later that evening she
received a call from
the local police. It was regarding
David. He had been
in an accident with an 18-wheeler, he
did not survive.
CASE 2:
Take Katie Robbenson. She received
this letter and
being the believer that she was sent
it off to few of her
send
to the full 10
that you must. Three days later she
went to a
Masquerade ball. Later that night when
she left to get
to her car to go home, she was killed
on the spot by a
hit and run drunk driver.
CASE 3:
Richard S. Willis sent this letter out within 45
minutes of reading it. Not even 4 hours
later walking
along the street to his new job
interview, with a really
big company, when he ran into Cynthia
Bell, his secret
love of 5 years. Cynthia came up to him and told him of
her passionate crush on him that she
had for 2 years.
Three days later he proposed to her and
they were
married.
They are still married to this day and
have three
children.
This is the letter:
Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by, and the weeks rush
on,
And before I know it a year has gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days w! hen I rang his bell,
And he rang mine if, we were younger
then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
Tomorrow; I say, I will call on Jim
Just to show I am thinking of him.
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner! - yet miles away,
Here's a telegram sir, Jim died today.
And that's what we get and deserve in
the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.
Remember to always sa! y what you mean.
If you love someone-tell them.
Don't be afraid to express yourself.
Reach out and tell someone what they
mean to you, because
when you decide that it is the right
time, it might be
too late.
Seize the day, Never have regrets.
Most importantly stay close to your
friends and family,
for they have helped make you the person
you are today.
You must send this on within 3 hours,
after reading the
letter, to 10 different people. If you
do this you will
receive unbelievably good luck in love.
The person you
are most attracted to will soon&n! bsp;
return your feelings. If
you do not, bad luck will rear it's ugly
head. THIS IS NOT A JOKE! The more
people you send
this to, the better luck you will have.

Yeah, I've received a lot more notes. I feel like I've put on a low-cut prom dress or something. I think it's because customized layouts are more personalized. It's certainly not because my writing has improved or anything. As they say, presentation is very important. I must say though, that my own page cheers me up; it's definitely better than that glaring red screen. Trancejen is a great designer, that's for sure.

Hey, thanks for signing my guestbook! I've been reading some of your entries & bookmarked you for when I need to smile. You know, I think if everyone just got together & pledged to let their mustaches grow (men AND women) we could really spark a revolution in facial hair! Something to think about for those in search of an easily achievable new year's resolution. -- Tina.

Another fuzzy fact! You don't think Italy has anything to do with the mustache revolution? They've been doing it for years! Anyway thanks for the note, and I wanted to let you know I'll definitely be reading your diary. You profile is so strikingly honest it's unavoidable (quite the opposite of mine, actually). Anyway, keep up the good work.

hi there!
Thanks for your nice welcome and all! I joined Diaryland cos one of my friends is introducing me to her diary ring - the LOTR Sisters. The Sisters told me to post so they know I'm alive, then they'll accept me into their ring (I already sent a join request). Thanks for your concern, though, and have a happy new year!

I'm fairly certain recockulous is not a "real" word; I use it when referring to something incredibly ridiculous .. for example, my landlord told my Peruvian roommate to "call back later" because she "couldn't understand" her (and I assure you my roommate speaks very respectable english) because, of course, if she called back "later" (say in 10 minutes) her language would have improved. Recockulous if you ask me!

I worry about this constantly: how does one be a good parent and raise the "right" sort of child? My parents are pretty conservative and I did the "right" things, my middle sister was good but floundering and the youngest is downright naughty. What's the right balance? What's the best end result?

Hey sweetie, just letting you know that I understand what you mean about your parents - mine are still together, but I go home every weekend expecting to be told that this is no longer the case. I'm not really sure why it is that my mother stays with my father - but oddly enough, despite him being such an asshole, like you only in reverse, I have more male friends then females. It's easier, I think... There seems to be less to answer to or something.
Anyway, thankies for your kind words and comments on my poetry - all criticism welcome! (As long as it's constructive)

i know what you mean about the whole mom dad thing. i have grown up without my dad there for me. my parents divorced when i was three, but i saw him for about seven years after that. i decided after a bit, that i didn't want to/coulndn't see him anymore because of personal things. he went and improved himself, for me. no one has ever shown me they love me as much as him, and done something he has done. this is a different situation, but i can relate. i love my dad, but this experience/he has helped me grow as a person. these are the types of things that can only help you grow. -sp

It's great to know you have a new wonderful fantastic awesome life and I understand that I am just some morbid teenager from your past, but it would be nice for you to just spell out that you aren't interested in my friendship instead of stringing me along for however many months. But I suppose that doesn't matter because I am nothing...a stain on the great white wall that is your life. Well if you want to remove it perfect chance..just give me the respect and tell me so I know.

I don't think that you have to be ashamed about skating, or not being able to kate rather. And just think of the positive things, like...
*you didn't fall on the kid, and break one of their bones.
*People didn't video tape you doing it.
And any way evryone has done it before, but it does always happen in front of other people, which always want to make you never leave your house again... so i also feel your shame.

The remote control fireplace is up and working beautifully. It is cool. No, the dream was not chemically induced I wish it was that simple. You are lucky to not remember your dreams or to find they don't make sense. I go through periods when I dream often -- some make me laugh, others are curiously symbol heavy but I don't understand the symbols, and then there are those terrifying ones. As for scary movies -- Hitchcock was great (I love Rear Window) -- have you ever seen Psycho? I thought it would be quaint but at the end I have to say it did scare me. Also I remember two movies from when I was a kid: one was Burnt Offering with Bette Davis as a scary old woman and a made-for-TV movie whose name I don't know but could be called Dried up Appleheads (It is about this couple who move into a house. There are these things living in their bolted up fireplace which I think resemble dried up appleheads. Only the woman can see them and they slowly drive her crazy. Then they drag her body down the stairs and pull her into the fireplace. I know you are thinking "why is she telling me this? How can I possibly find some tv movie whose name she doesn't even know. But believe it or not I have given that description before and a few times someone will say "I REMEMBER THAT MOVIE. They did look like dried up appleheads!") Don't know if either would be scary as an adult but as a young viewer they implanted some scary memories. Oh! and Phantasm -- the 80s movie with the undertaker, those flying silver orbs which drill through heads and the portal to hell. Thanks for signing my guestbook. I have read several of your entries. You are a good soul. I am glad you are dating and happy. It is good to know it can happen. As for your Fourth of July entry on America -- it was thoughtful and accurate. But you were kind because I do not think Bush is very smart and his advisors are war hungry. I understand why we are hated and I hate us too for many of those same things. I just got back from a trip to Russia -- I cringed when I saw the first McDonalds. Unfortunately I do not know what the answer is to any of those problems (war, culture gobbling or otherwise) is. Sorry so wordy. This may be the longest guestbook entry ever. I could probably write more but I signed up for National Novel in One Month (NaNoWriMo) and I need to put down 1,666 words for today.

about your entry yesterday, with the man you saw crying. i think lots of people walk by situations like this, not even thinking twice. because you did think twice, i think it changes things. you realize that maybe you should change. if it wasn't for yesterday, would you think about wanting to help the world more? make it a better place? i have always wanted to carry around a lot of money to hand out to homeless people, but most of the ones i see, i know just go out and buy alcohol. i have seen then at liquor stores. i have carried around food and given it out, with an organization, and by myself. i have also talked to some homeless people, and given people flowers. it doesn't matter what you can do, it's what you do do to make them feel better. -s

you don't have to believe this, but just remember your parents are always your parents if they're together or not. it will be different, but they're the same people. they may change, but they're still who you've grown to love. they will always love you, and they don't need to be together to feel that. they don't need to be together to have you love them. you're mom might be moving to a different country, but you have to think in the long run she will be happier. they will both be happier. it will hurt them for a long time too. you need to be there for both of them, and let them know you love them. you're all going to have a hard time dealing with this, but it will be dealt with. you can always email me if you need to vent or anything. that's all. take care. -sarah

Hey Jason. lol been a while huh? I just want to say that you are such a beautiful writer, a beautiful person too. What I have noticed in life is ugliness in a person shines out through their face, I bet your goodness and sweetness shines through yours. Ew I'm getting mushy. Must be tiredness lol. In the constant words of a great aussie man I sort of know Keep smiling. Tomorrow is another day.

i remember my friends crying on september 11th. my friend went home early because it was too much. i cried later in my room, when it actually hit me what happened. people at school telling me. me just brushing it off. not realizing what a big deal it was. i hate it when i feel like that, and later having it dawn on me that i was being a bitch. i couldn't believe that something like this would happen. it's still hard to believe. it was so close, but still so far. the whole thing after it though. looking for the terrorists etc...i swear they framed people. whatever. this note is getting too long. i'm remembering sitting at school watching the television all day. leaving class rooms because it was the same thing over and over. maybe it was just hard to watch and deal with at the time. p.s. thanks for the guestbook entry. -sarah

you will probably hear this a lot because of this entry, but that was really nice to have done that for those girls. i hope that maybe one day, when/if i see something like that, i can do something similar. if there is reconciliation, you are the one to thank. if you hadn't been so nice to have called their mother, or taken them for food, who knows if they would have talked to her when they did. i am also assuming that you didn't do this for praise, but just so that they would know not to give up on people.

Looking forward to the ALF story.

Jason,
from what I have read of your diary I think you have too much heart in you to make everyone around you sad so you should scrap that idea. Also I doubt you could come into old age as a miserable bastard, you're too optimistic. So as I said before, take your own advice and keep smiling.
|
| from
disharmonic : |

I love The Lion King. You go on about becoming a miserable old bastard... I'm already halfway to being a complaining old woman. I complain, but I'm not an old woman. Yet. Talking about The Lion King... I think, one of the stories I will tell the little ones when I'm older, would be how The Lion King came out on video on my birthday here, and I had it specially delivered to my house by the lovely retailer who even brought me a card. Ho hum. Not in the best of moods, sweets... I don't want to bore all your other note-makers, or scare them away with the reason, or my incesscant bantering on how much life... Yea... I think I'm going to stick to your notes, if you don't mind. Guestbooks are out of my comfort zone... What am I saying? I, myself, am out of my comfort zone. Heh.

I think you've cured up right at the same time as me. I had a dreadful cold/'flu thing going... I have a huge workload as of late so I do apologise again if I slack off in my keeping in touch responsiblities. Ta ra, ta ra, I am sorry once again and I too am still reading! i really dont believe in soul mates. although, i do believe in kindred souls. i think its a matter of being the right person at the right time, and your partener being the right person at the right time. maybe you already met your kindred soul, its just that you werent ready, or she wasnt ready at that stage in your life. dont give up. Sam gave you an idea of what you want in a relationship, and thats good. i think theres lots of people the you loathe, people you can tolerate, people you like, and people you absolutely love. its easy to make it work with anyone, but its rare to make it work with sparks!

I agree with the comment a couple of notes below about a guestbook. Conform, would you, damnit!
Anyway, in reponse your comment in mine, that is very true and wise. I am not really doing it to "find myself" or anything fairy like that, but more out of general curiosity as to the people I am related to. I know there are a few good tales that have been spun, and I am a sucker for a good tale or two.
General comments as you know how I like a list:
1. Snow is great.
2. Schnapps is lethal.
3. Simplicity is indeed the key.
Snow, Schnapps, Simplicity. Today's note is brought you by the letter 'S'.

ahhh.. well, the 'sorta date' ended up being not a date.. I didn't go... something came up on both ends, and it had to be cancelled.. I hate dating, have I mentioned that before? I really do.. *laughs* I don't mind actually being involved with a person because the whole sweaty hands, worrying if she/he likes you, concerned about what you're going to wear, if you have to kiss on the first date or if it'll be a sincere hug, part of the whole date thing isn't there anymore.. but when you are actually 'dating'... yea, you have to worry about that.. Grrrrr... I hate that! *laughs* Hopefully, I made sence there.. I really hope I did.. Sooo.. I'll talk to you laters!! Bye..

bob the builder? my 2nd cousin went to the concert. but don't worry, she's 2 or 3. she came back screaming. the theme song was sad enough, but when he did a really weak cover of mambo #5, i actually couldn't stand hearing it, and i used to change the radio station. and barney? "i love you, you love me, let's get together and kill barney, with a great big bang and barney's on the floor, no more purple dinosaur." HAHHA you like? of course you've probably heard that before, i love it but everyone else just dispises it. sad about that girl with the tumour. you should write a book. well, most people in diaryland are good enough writers to be able to write a book. including you. oh, and you know the whole prostitute sex zone scandal? that's my street! Maybe when you get to Ireland you'll see me there. No doubt I would be there... Tracing my own roots, I guess. I'm booking a one-way ticket there as soon as I have the money to be capable to do so... So it shan't be long now. Irish accents do kick ass. I think I'm mildly obsessed or something... I'm even learning Irish Gaelic. It's not exactly the easiest language to learn but I think it's beautiful, just like the entire culture. I was pleased to see *two* entries for me to read. -smiles- I had been missing them. I'm not entirely sure what I fear... Anyway, it was good to hear from you again. Hope I hear from you once more in the near future. Oh, and I'm pleased that you like the way I write... Guh, I'm surprised you can make any sense of it hehe. Well, back to furthering my education, I guess...

Thank you for the wonderful compliments :) I have also always wanted to travel the world! Perhaps backpack through Europe one day! Australia being one that I'd love to see, too. As for NY -been there! Hope you get a chance to visit those places someday. I suppose in the end, there is no place like home. And as for where home is -it would have to be where the heart is. My heart is still looking for a home... hopefully it'll find its place soon, as you found yours in Melbourne.

Thanks for the encouragement...as in writing.
I really like to keep things in boxes too. Those are the real treasures in life. Lets see I've kept some stupid things like a glass from some bar that a fellow plastered his beer logo on. Took him hours to that. Yeah, we really know how to have a good time at a bar but it looked perfect on the glass like it belonged there. To bad that didn't last. Well, maybe it was good it didn't last.
Anyway, write everyday. Write what you feel and its history after that.

I am enjoying reading your diary, as well. There was a part that I just had to stop and drop YOU a note in return! This piece here, and I will quote from your diary, has brought me a sense of hope for a brighter future:
"you should never be afraid to love. There is more than one person for every person and if you never give, you will never love. Life is worth living and loving. Love is a wonderful thing and hopefully it is nice and close."
Thank you for sharing those very inspiring words!!
Much Love,

First off, I feel a thank you is in order. I guess I am pleased that at least someone out there reads my rants... Which is mostly what they are, rants about trivial matters that only selfish people such as I would write about... Still, they are my issues, and it is my diary... -shrugs and smiles some- I guess I should also confess that I am the teeniest bit envious of you. How do you do it? So full of love and warmth... So *full*... I wish I could feel like you do, but I can never find it within me to do so. Just keep up the good work, dude. The positive thinking and the loving of life. At least someone out there enjoys what they've got. Maybe one day I'll learn how to do so too. Once again, thank you.

thank you for the nice note, i think otherwise of my diary, but thank you. blah blah. i am drunk, so if this doesn't make sense, ask me to explain later. i disagree about the boyfriend thing. well, i'm not like that anyway. when i 'boyfriend shop' i honestly look at boys who are genuinly nice. i know this is retarded, but i have never had a boyfriend, but that could just be my teenage stupidness/how i look. i would never tear apart a guy for fun, or anything. i think that who ever you are interesdted in you need to respect in some way, or esle you aren't really interested in THEM. possibly just the idea of them, or just sexual attraction. anyway, this again could be my adolescence. thank you for the note. we should keep talking over the internet or something...?

jason, baby, let me let you in on something: my boyfriend is the "bad-boy" type, and it's not a picnic. it would be much less stressful for me if i didn't always have to worry about whether or not he's landed himself in jail or what drugs he's been doing, etc. etc. the bad boy is fun for awhile, it makes you feel daring and rebellious to date that type, but after awhile it's nothing but a headache. i wouldn't trade him for the world, but we couldn't all handle a guy like that. there are plenty of girls out there who want a nice guy. trust me: you won't finish last. and also, i just tried tim tams. i am in love.

Ahh, you listed off a lot of negatives which I can understand. But the positives out weigh them. The best thing about being a good person is you get true friends. True friends that wont leave you when the rest of the world decides your "uncool." True friends that actually want to see you when you have gone on vacation, even if it was just for the weekend. True friends that will always be true friends, even if communication is cut for long periods of time.

you the day you mentioned UFO stories in my notes..I go to work and hear all these stories about co-workers without even asking.
Only one person I work with has been abducted and he's severely depressed since then. But mostly everyone told me about seeing something when they were alone..in the dark.
My closest encounter was with a "ghost" light (ball of gas). Naturally, I was alone. It was both beautiful and scary. Of course, no one believes you (especially your closest friends) when you talk about it.

A) girls like shopping because it's genetic. we can't help it. 2) you may make a "tribute" to my page, if you so choose. lol. i'm flattered. and D) i was kissing zach once and i had to pull away really suddenly because i had to belch. and it was really, really loud. horrible... also, he surprised me at home one day and i answered the door... with my hair in rollers. oh, the mortification.

hey- yea, you dont know me but o well. i happened to stumle across ur diary. i read the first kiss one. i was happy to hear that there more on a guys mind when they are kissing than the next step to having sex or some stupid thing. its good to hear that a kiss can impact a guy the same way as a gurl. fuck, maybe im just naive.....erf. thats prolly it. so anyways madisonagain is my diary if u care. w/b. oh- are u from australia?

Jason, you must tell her how you feel. Never leave things unsaid.
I'm sure she will forgive/understand if you show her the sincerity you show in your writing.
She will understand, you are human, we all make mistakes. But you must tell her befor its too late.

Thanks for the note. I have no strange habits. Unless you consider keeping a cryptic online journal a strange habit.

The m&m thing freaked you out? Hmmm. Ah well. Oh, and what did you mean by "all of you impress me"? All of who?

i bite my gum in half and chew it on both sides of my mouth. also, i can blow air out of my tear ducts... but that is a strange talent, rather than behavior (behaviour...) when i am bored, i sometimes trace pictures on the roof of my mouth with my tongue... like a tree or a cat or some such nonsense. and i use british slang instead of american slang. the list goes on...

interesting strange habits. i do like to eat the crust on my sandwich first and eat around and around the sandwich until its one little bite. i have no idea when i started this. strange how it turns in to a ritual, sooner or later and well, sometimes, it just makes things better.
best on your writing.

Well, since you are asking, I'll tell you one of my weird habbits. Whenever I eat or chew anything there has to be an equal amount on either side of my mouth. And when eating mm's it also has to be an equal amount of the same color. I can't have an orange mm on one side and a green on the other. And I have to eat my mm's in order of color succession. First brown, then red, then orange, then yellow, then green, then blue. I'm just weird like that.

ahh, you are absolutely correct. I hate to even think about saying goodbye or giving up on something I thought was more then special, but as I look on, I think it might be the right thing. Who knows. If it's meant to be, and it's real love, he'll come back. I think there was a song written about that. :)

Thank you so much for leaving a hint as to the author of your 'thatkiss' entry. I created that diary to hear everyone's stories, but I don't think anyone's has ever touched me the way yours did. I found your diary, and have loved every entry so far. Don't stop writing!
