No, we didn't really set anything on fire. It was a metaphor...I was kind of in the mood when I went to bed, woke up VERY in the mood, was rejected both times, then, even though he WASN'T in the mood, he started touching me in ways that were making matters worse. See?

An ER visit would probably be a good idea. =) My kids have only asked for an XBox360. I guess it's a sign that they are growing up when they aren't bringing us a big long list? My daughter said she'd be happy with a dump truck load of hoodies. lol

Hi! Just found you. Yes, the "teen" years! You sound like me! I visited Ohio this past May. Columbus/Tiffin. My husband received his Master's from Tiffin University. We spent 5 days there. Beautiful country!

Best of luck on the teen years thing. We're only one year and a couple of months away with our oldest. EEK!
The other day, I had a really rough start with my daughter, so I sent her a bouquet of white carnations at school with a little card that read, "Truce?"
Made her day!
And that song? DISTURBING! ACK! LOL

I had that same problem with my son Aidan that you're having with Cole. There was a lot of grounding and alot of chores assigned because of it! Now it seems my stepson Zack is going thru it. Maybe it's a boy thing? Also my daughter Ty got to start at 4 because of her birthday falling ON Sept 30 LOL She's the youngest in her class but it's not holding her back! Hopefully you find a solution to getting your things in 'Bama.

Since you have hamsters you may know some about hamsters so I will ask you this question. :) Well, about a month ago Sugar Cookie died. We had him about a year. Less than a week after Sugar died Blackie (we've had him 2 years) started looking skinny. He's still alive but two days ago we noticed his face is swollen. Not like he has food stuffed in there though. His eyes are in buggie looking. He doesn't come to the top of the cage like he used to either. He acts like he can't really see. It's weird. But anyway, this morning while the kids were checking on him he flopped on his back and began kicking his legs and squeeling. Then he stopped got back up on all four legs and started running around his cage. Think his time is coming soon also?

My husband also works 12-hour shifts. Corey's in fiberglass insulation. I wonder why the most miserable jobs run those kind of hours? Anyhow, yes, that overtime will be nice, as long as he's willing to work it, and since chances are high that working holidays will be required, he'll probably get double-time-and-a-half for that, which will be especially nice if he can volunteer for it! And enjoy that chicken! We can only get a reduced price on insulation, and you can only do so much with THAT. LOL.

I totally agree with this entry. Sounds like a diary I used to read about a year ago but can't remember the link now. I was a teen mother also. The added stress was not good for myself or for the baby. People were telling me that I wouldn't amount to anything & that I should "get rid" of the baby. There was no way that I could get rid of my baby. He was a part of me. And like you, I proved everyone wrong when I graduated high school. My son's father and I were not together long after he was born because he just refused to grow up and take on the responsibility. To this day he sees my son once or twice a year. Oops sorries.. didn't mean to write a book in your notes. lol!

Well! Happy Birthday! Sorry I didn't know sooner! I hope you will/did have fun! 99 Banana is a brand of banana liquer. I don't know if that bar made a particular drink out of it, but I used to make "cabana shots" out of 99 Banana and a coconut rum like malibu. If you mix the same shot with pineapple juice and add a splash of grenadine, that's ggod too. There are so many drinks that are local only. I hope that helps. If you recall what it tasted like, or what color it was (was it a shot or a blended drink, rocks, etc.) I may be able to help narrow it down. Take care and have a great day! s-b

Hi from Suburban Island and thanks so much for adding me to your favorites list and for the mention in your latest entry. It sounds like you have your hands full and are making the very best you can of things. That's not always easy to do and yet you are still being considerate and caring to your elder neighbor and doing a million mommy things. possibly talk to the teacher about the problem and progress you've made and see if she cant make it a point to ask your daughter if she needs to use the restroom every once in a while? saves your girl the embarassment of asking somemone new to go to the bathroom and saves your progress all at the same time.

Oh eww, and I thought my bathroom at that house was bad! Landlords suck sooo bad. Well, not all of them, but a lot of them. My dad rented out an apartment building for years, and later rented his house out when he bought a more modern one, and he was always right on the ball. Now, here's the "I love my dad, but..." part. My dad was an alcoholic, spent most of his time in bars, and if not, he was working or watching wrestling with my uncles and his bar buddies. When his own house fell apart, he just let it happen a lot of times. Still, he NEVER made any of his tenants live in filth and if something went wrong, even a fuse burning out,, he was right there to fix it when they asked... even if it meant driving across town in the middle of winter.I don't expect any landlord of mine to be THAT giving but at least don't expect me to raise my children in a sewer gas infested house where I can't even shower or bathe because I don't fit in the kitchen sink. lmao

Trevor had speech therapy and was extremely shy but luckily he had an awesome therapist that was very patient with him. After 2 years of therapy you can't even tell he was delayed. =) Good luck with the evaluation!!

Try some of those Mr. Clean Erasers, on the walls. I was really amazed how well it took pen, crayon, even permant marker off our wall, with one of Katy's color fest days. I completely agree with you about the BRATZ dolls. I HATE THEM! I think they are trendy, ugly, and sending the wrong message with clothing to children amoung other things including their ugly feet. lol.
