hope things work out for you!
from minstrelite :
Hey, how's it going, man? Long time. I didn't realize you were still reading me. You still at Stanford? Hope things are going well. Yeah, I think they're pretty slow on answering help requests these days, except for the automated ones. I ought to be able to find someone who can answer the question about the nameservers--it doesn't sound hard.
from teenageriotx :
thank you for the little note. :) well, you're diary caught my interest, so i just thought i would add it. i'm glad you found my diary raw. haha, i am not one to hold back. anyway, feel free to add my diary. -lauren
from banefulvenus :
Thanks for the compliment. : ) Very witty, and I like that...

You are very young, Padawan. You will learn with patience and experience. Thanks for the note back. This is all new to me....loved to write for years but finally found an outlet... I will keep checking your site....you are an awesome, inspired writer and I see great things for you to come! (Just don't take as many years as I did to reach an enlightened state...haha) Peace
from sbbabe :

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I dig your template :-D
from funda :
This is a test. (beep) This is a test of the Emergency Valentine's Day System. (EVS) This test is to see if leaving notes around DLand will make this a wonderful day (and weekend) in spite of not particularly being with anyone romantically at the moment. (ummm) May the results be that all this love in my heart found some productive use. (smile) And maybe a giggle or few (Happy V-Day from my other persona too :)
from damotava :
hey jake, i'm sorry about lily. she was a sweet dog for as long as i can remember. hope you feel better. Abhaya

glad to hear you're having an uplifting day. We all deserve one.
from mojo1915 :
Hey there, Being a music major is a hek of a lot of fun. I live for the company of a pratie room and the sound of a Dr. Beat. Have a great Halloween! ~Jesse
from preciousgift :
Hi, it's been awhile. Some how I forgot about you (hey at least I'm honest,eh?). How did that happen? I don't know but I added you to my faves and it won't happen again. Love the new layout. later.
from minstrelite :
Hey Jake - great to hear from you! I think I've got the identity theft pretty much under control, I was able to take all the measures described in the four links in my entry entitled "Identity Theft" before the thieves actually robbed me of everything. Of course, it is an ongoing process, not yet complete, but I was encouraged to have received at least one of my credit reports, on which it was clear that my credit had not been tampered with. Otherwise, I am mildly incovenienced (I had to rip up my credit cards and Debit card and am awaiting replacements with different card numbers in the mail) and I am still waiting to hear from the three credit bureaus as to whether or not my request for a security freeze to be placed on my credit files will be honored. Anyway, I confess I haven't stopped by your diary lately either. Most of my recent entries have been about Christianity, which may or may not interest you, but certainly feel free to check them out, and I'll look into yours as well. Thanks for writing!
from growpeace :
Hi, The hornsby ring link is either on one of the rings with fancy banners pages or on the rings with plain banners pages. I forget if it is plain or fancy? Aloha, Joy
from growpeace :
Hi, Jzyjsmalls, Thanks for starting the Bruce Hornsby ring for me to join. I live in Hawaii where we are having more than one hard time. I know California really well and love the area. Have you ever been to Harbin Hot Springs? Are you seeing the Dead shows now? Please join any of my diaryrings that you would like and I hope you still have room to add me to your favorites list. I am adding you to mine. Peace. Aloha from Joy with Hawaii's Noisy Frog Invasion News.
from coldapathy :
i'm a violinist and am a huge fan of jazz pianists...awesome.
from lost-mistake :
Yea I think you are losing your mind. I dont believe I was the diaryland person who IM'ed you... or maybe I was. Maybe it is me who is losing my mind. I really cant remember stuff for too long. *shurgs*~Rachel~
from lost-mistake :
You have lots of notes. Only said that cause I wanted to leave you one but really dint know what to say. :-D I really never know what to say to people in notes...I always end up looking like a idiot. Just like I did here!~Rachel~
from belle-tn :
Just thought I'd check out the notes site....hmmmm...Am I the first one to leave a note or do I just not see them, lol? Well, if I am the first one to sign the notes--WHOOOOHOOO! I have been busy with Matt's movies, trying to get them all seen, there's so much extra to watch on dvds, lol, especially since Belle has just figured out how to jump to the next menu item. Yep, just figured it out. Took some time. Belle is not mechanically inclined. I kept wonderin' how does this little thingy work? I know it should work. I finally pulled out the dvd player manual and read it. Now I'm busy trying to check out all of my dvds to see the extra stuff on all of them. Ha! Don't be surprised if I you see some of the same words in my next entry, hahaha! Thanks, Jake, for siginin' Belle's guestbook. I appreciate it.
from prowlingleo :
Found him. First image link, he's here: er="0">}<map At least I think that's it, remove the }. Backup first in case I'm wrong.
from prowlingleo :
Did you know you got a little lost } floating around?
from prowlingleo :
Now...if you can make each link play a key on the piano, I'd consider you a God lol. Or maybe when the mouse hovers it could play...hehe that's asking a lot isn't it ;)
from minstrelite :
I think I do like your new test layout. With the grand piano, it's Jake-appropriate, and the way the links are displayed within the image is catchy.
from prowlingleo :
The new layout looks really nice! And it loads quicker than the other one does. Beautiful!
from squirrelx :
Thanks for the note! Your kind words are profoundly appreciated. Best, Xtine / Squirrel X
from sparklefae :
Hi! Thanks for joining the Norah Jones diaryring!
from prowlingleo :

from preciousgift :
Dude. You got ripped over at Diary Reviews. I've just started reading your diary today (not because of their link to you...Melody (prowlingleo) sent me. I think you've got a great diary. Who cares what they think? Never change.

from lost-mistake :
Hey..Just had to say I changed what I said about you in my info... I took out all my lyrics so that no more confusion would happen.~Rachel~
from wonderwall :

from mojo1915 :
they jusy had a tarantula exhibition here too. The spiderpeople had a big party aftewrwards and my dad went and got all drunk. I don't know why I'm telling you this. Anyways, enjoy your day!
from prowlingleo :
I know this is officialy random guestbook signing week, but I'm making it a 'thank you for reading me' day. So here is me, thanking you, for continuing to read me.
from psychosiff :
still reading my diary? :) Thanks for your note, made me feel much better!
from mojo1915 :
How do you do so much work without popping? Did you develop your work ethic or were you born with it? Have a delighful day.
from emofrizzball :
Hello. I've read Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. I haven't started the second ender book, or the second Bean book, but I'm working on it! lol. Later. Tara
from mojo1915 :
My music classes are: aural skills, music theory, applied lessons, brass ensemble, marching band, jazz ensemble, university singers, and recital attendance. That's only seven. I guess I was thinking about the number of credits instead. I don't get credits for jazz ensemble or recital attendance though. Have a delightful time between when you awake and when you go to sleep.
from prowlingleo :
Actually, you were the first guy I thought of to read it. You have amazing insight and I would've missed your supportive comments terribly if I didn't share it with you. I have since given it to only one other guy, but he usually doesn't comment on anything.
from damotava :
Don't worry about it dude. No problem. We'll get it right next time. Call me so we can talk about the concert.
from funda :
something about your diary is way too appealing... in order not to become too addicted, I will try not to visit too often.... just in case you wanted to, you should know this.
from gumphood :
I love your minipolls
from prowlingleo :
Okay sweetie, I reached out to my html experts, and they say it's either an old browser that doesn't support the html I use, or a Mac, which sometimes doesn't support the html I use. I made a recommended adjustment, let me know if that helps you at all.
from prowlingleo :
Let me know what kind of browser/system/SR you have...cause for most of us there's a scrollbar within the box and it doesn't bleed over. I must fix!!!
from prowlingleo :
That last one kind of was a long entry. You don't have the bottom of the text box on your browser? Do you see the navigation at least?
from prowlingleo :
Sweetie I was only kidding, change nothing. You and your words are perfect as is.
from the-escape :

from devilscarpet :
I was just going back over your profile. You met Orson Scott Card. *sniff* I hate you. Not really. But I would if I weren't happy you read my diary from time to time. And you have curly hair! That's all that's saving you... Err... bye.
from prowlingleo :
Adobo is a spanish seasoning, you can usually find it in the spanish/mexican isle of a food store. It's SOOOOO good!
from prowlingleo :
I have missed your comments the most...thank you so much!
from markodepollo :
Also, my Shadowrun experience relies on the Sega videogame (briefly), some brief pen & paper RPGing, and a MUD I'm currently playing called Awake 2062. Good stuff.
from markodepollo :
I oughta check my notes more often. My gripes with the last 24 lie mostly on things falling apart in the last episode and general frustration about so many bad things happening, as demonstrated via an MSN conversation: k-car: 1. Michelle and Tony arrested. k-car: 2. Chapelle and Carrie are running the show. k-car: 3. Lady Mac - it was so exciting when she was shanked, and now she's totally 100% OK? k-car: 4: "You're gonna be OK." (Me: Phew! He's not gonna die this time!) "My hip feels wet..." <Jack has heart attack> k-car: 5: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING! LAND THE CHOPPER!" k-car: 6: Obvious foreshadowing. "No, LadyMac, I'm fine. You won't die if I drive, really." k-car: 7: There is no impending danger in the car. They landed in a ditch, big deal. k-car: 8: What's the significance of Palmer talking to the Turkey guy he talked to earlier that day? k-car: 9: Kate and Kim: ...yaaaaaaaaawn... k-car: 10: He bought it! Check me out, Kingsley is TOTALLY gonna be there, so cool! He's not gonna kill us, no-sir. k-car: 11: "Kiefer, I watched the next episode. He has snipers, remember? He's gonna kill us" <Kiefer has heart attack> k-car: 12. Kiefer: "I'll help you" Hewitt: <makes trusting face> Kiefer: Ah, now everything is fine and dandy. <Hewitt pulls an 'Idiot'> Kiefer: I shot you! You fell! Don't die! <Has heart attack> k-car: 13: The time is now... 6:00 AM... Alright, time to start having random heart palpatations that weren't there a minute ago. k-car: 14: The Scenes from Next (Last?) Week.
from mojo1915 :
Howdy, You can still read my diary. If I had your e-mail I could send you a password. I guess the site that I got the picture on my layout from finally discovered that I was using their stuff on my diary and it doesn't show up anymore :( I had to lock my diary as I write about my current problems and some of my friends that read my diary aren't treating me the same anymore and it sucks. Well, just send me your e-mail in a note or at [email protected]. Have a good one!
from amy-poetica :
Heh...Sorry, I joined the 24 ring by accident. The way I did it is I was checking out my referrals and I clicked on one and it added me to the ring... In other words, you or someone else had just joined 24 then visited my page and somehow it linked me to your ring.I Just recently noticed I was on the ring. The series sounds cool but I don't watch much TV so have never heard of it. Do you have any up? You mentioned the urge to write poetry on your page. If you have any up, tag me back on notes or gbook.
from prowlingleo :
Your comments always bring a smile to my face. Thank you, I needed to hear that.
from dreem-on :
Hey, I fixed my profile thing on dreem-on! Whoops!
from minstrelite :
got your note - check your e-mail...i may have a solution for you concerning topsites, but it's too involved to leave in a note - i'll compose the e-mail right now...
from jane-be-jane :
Hi! Thanks for the welcome note to twentyfour. Tomorrow is Tuesday! :) Thank you also for reading me and for your comments about my diary. I am somewhat new to diaryland but already incredibly addicted! Thanks again :) Have a nice day-before-24! ;)
from ruhee :
why thank you! glad you liked it ... make sure you let Bootman know what you thought of it, he wrote it with a friend of his from Ghana. (http://www.bootmanmusic.com/ or send him a message at bootman[at]bootmanmusic.com) I'll post other funky songs as I find them :) cheers!
from damotava :
what!?!? the learning fair is today!!!!???!! NOOOOO!!!! thats so not fair that I can't go... you should go!!! you're so lucky to be going to school at home!!! *sigh* well i understand. i'm just envious. talk to you later
from tragiclovest :
Hey Jake, just wanted to pass along that I'm a guy! :P (you called me a girl in your profile/buddy list...) LOL
from minstrelite :
i hear you're a genius (which doesn't surprise me) - check your e-mail; i'll be sending you something soon...
from minstrelite :
we did that play at my high school too, a long time ago - a LONG time ago - and i've always like that quote myself!
from roklobster :
By the by - I think your guestbook links are a little wonky. It said the movie I was recommending was the book I was recommending too... I don't think that's right! But anyway - go see Six Stringed Samurai! It rocked! And... kay... that's all. grin. ~rok
from serratedtart :
Thanks for the praise, it means much.
from tragiclovest :
Thank you for creating the "24" ring... I just asked Mel (prowlingleo) about it earlier tonight, because I have loved the show since day one. You will find that I occasionally mention it in my diary, as well. :)
from poeticstance :
Hey, tis Prowlingleo under one of my other diaries. I wanted to thank you for the note you left me. Actually it was tragiclovest who gave me the idea to search for a 24 ring. Small diaryland world isn't it? I didn't know you read my dad diary or my prowlingleo diary. And then to see minstrelite in your notes, one of my favorite diaries, I'm surprised we haven't spoken sooner! When I actually get some sleep, I'll come back and chat some more. Right now I need to get a poem out of my head and get some sleep. Thanks again for the note!
from xdigmeout :
thank you, thank you. i think i'm a little too obsessed with 24. ha! it's great.
from minstrelite :
thanks for your feedback - i agree, there is a difference between being happy about your accomplishments and having a big ego...the interesting thing is, Rob himself is happy for me, even though he's been losing the games! catch you later :)
from mojo1915 :
I'm sorry, I didn't know it was a survey for your diary. I just found it on the survey directory. It is out there for people (like me) to put dumb stuff on. Now that I have at least looked at your profile, that is really awesome that you play piano and compose music. I will be a music major next fall and I am going to be in the ENMU jazz band. I play piano as well, but I will be playing trumpet in their band. Again, I'm sorry. Have a good day.
from minstrelite :
hey - i just read your "friends vx. lovers" entry and had to fight back tears - i think that is really beautiful how your friendship blossomed into a relationship, and how the relationship is stronger because it was first a strong friendship...who knows - maybe something like that will happen to me someday!
from damotava :
I'm sorry I was mean to you in a dream dude... I should've asked if you were okay... =)
from devilscarpet :
Thanks a lot for the signing. Jazz rocks, as do films. You might want to check out some friends and my review site. www31.brinkster.com/moviereviewers And now, to end the plugging tried so carefully to appear as if it flows with the rest of the message, the fights between my parents and I are not all that common. But when they DO happen... It's not pretty. Anyways, thanks for checking out my site, and Orson Scott Card rocks. :D
from minstrelite :
thanks for the note - i did pretty well today, in that i only played four online chess games (two during my afternoon break, and two this evening) - the tally is down from the last couple of days, and the fascination is starting to wear off...i definitely should practice my piano as compulsively as i do so many other things - good for you for channeling that kind of energy into your technique exercises!
from minstrelite :
hey there - i just read your diary for the first time in a while, and i like what you have to say about recognition...earlier in life, it was really important to me, but in recent times i've preferred a low profile...i actually freaked out when i got up to Number 10 on the Top 100 Diaries - thank God they've reset it now, and i'm not even on the front page lol - anyway, sounds like you're doing well; i'll make a point of checking in more often in the future
from roklobster :
thanks for the 'drive by' (what I call new user stop bys) - like the diary, think it's nifty. jazz = woo hoo. grin.
from my51dreams :
I think you would love Karate. a jazz band. just a suggestion, have a great day!
from ruhee :
by the way, on the topic of Kenny G again -- started a discussion on the sax forum about him and the whole "KG is the Anti-Jazz" syndrome. Got some good stuff back, check it out if you want: http://saxontheweb.myforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=1182 (I'm Jazzophone).
from minstrelite :
i'd always thought Kenny G was pop-junk, but i heard a Christmas album by him last year that was really tasteful and breathtaking...his version of Drummer Boy was inspired...i don't know if he's jazz per se, but he's worth listening to
from ruhee :
lol thanks for the compliment! re Kenny G, I was just curious. I think EVERYONE with a little jazz background has been led to believe that Kenny G is the Anti-Jazz, or similar ... who knows? my take on it is that he never improvises, or at least it sure doesn't seem like it ... and jazz can be defined almost completely in one word: improv. maybe that's where the "Kenny G is bad for jazz" thing came along. me, I usually just listen to his stuff while reading. it's okay, but I'd take Grover Washington Jr over Kenny any day! :)
from ruhee :
ha ha ha ... i found you because you listed me as a favourite -- wow i didn't think that many people paid attention!! was reading the comments you had on your profile - what kenny g thing? what, i have four songs listed :P oo, jazz crimes! lol have a good day.
from damotava :
heh... yes... some people have had the impression that I am bi... until I told them I wasn't... and yes i totally remember that... good times good times... i will sign your guestbook.... right... NOW!!!
from damotava :
Hi Jake Jake! Thank you... I'm glad you enjoyed the get together... I sure did... anyways... I definately am going to continue diaryland... I haven't been writing recently but I probably will do so more once I get to college so no worries... I would love to hear from you... call me up!.. laters!!!
