Hey about your interviews, I had an interview with Westjet a while ago and you don't necessarily have to be super dressed up. They really look for people that are a out-going. They usually start with group interviews and they watch for the people that strike up conversations with the other people in the room. Then you have to spend a minute talking about a random subject out of a hat in front of people. Don't be afraid to be an individual :)

Yea, I did that witn Enya on road trips. There was this one song with this dude speaking some Native tounge, and I totally thought it was the best thing ever created. My brother made fun of me a lot for it. And, for all roadtrips to go see our grandmother, he'd tie my shoelaces together when I was sleeping. So, I would wake up when we got there and run out of the van. But, I would trip and skin my knee. This happened every time, I never got wise to what he was doing!

Kortnay, we spoke at the show but here is the synopsis of what I said just in case the music was too loud/you weren't paying attention/whatever. Internal battery repairs pending, I will have two Korg Poly-800s for sale. I would be glad to let you borrow both of them for your upcoming show, but it's quite possible that they could fail during the set which I'm sure you'd rather avoid. You are also welcome to borrow my Yamaha DX-7S, but given that she is no longer in production [re: vintage] and in sparkling condition for her age, I'd hope that she returns in the same shape. You can pick her up Thursday or Friday morning and return her Sunday night. It's currently loaded with a number of electronic piano/string/synth-type sounds plus the famed Tyne Piano sound which can be heard in the Law & Order theme song. If you would rather take the Korg Poly-800s to the gig with you, I can look into a temporary battery solution until I have them repaired for serious. The Korg Poly-800s are pretty fucking analog and sound like something Joy Division or the Psychedelic Furs would have played... because they did. scottd@corporatedirtbag.com
