i can't believe you haven't for 5 months. you really beat yourself up too much. i mean, i am a good 40 lbs overweitght and i want to lose them but, you know what? if i don't i still love myself. and i still eat home made nachos. and mochas from starbucks. and what's wrong with being a "spinster" (i noticed you have that on your page. i am old and alone (except for my cat) and i love it. good luck tho. really.

Are you kidding? I read Fast Food Nation, which was supposed to turn me off to fast food for the rest of my life, and went to McDonald's the next day for breakfast AND lunch!!!! You're not alone! I love your diary, you always crack me up and I can relate to so many things you say.

Love your layout-Kate IS the most beautiful woman. She should have won that Golden Globe. I was truly upset she didnt. I have my fingers crossed for the Oscar (if she gets nominated). Eternal Sunshine was brilliantly amazing. I love and own that movie. *smile* You dont know me-I just stumbled across your diary but I like it and hope you dont mind if I add you. I had found you before and I didnt add you but I am going to now.

fat suit... interesting choice of words. yep. i am tired of wearing a fat suit too.i miss seeing the thin woman inside the suit. it's been too long seen i've seen her/me. jenny lynn (p.s. pizza is my biggest temptation too!)

My whole summer was one big bender. I'm just getting back on track now too. Best of luck to you, you CAN do it!!
from thinartist :
I go through those days too. I feel like a bottomless pit and eat and eat and eat. Here's a couple of things I do: drink more water. Drink a pint. Wait. Still hungry? More water. Also, high fibre foods seem to squelch "munching madness." :-) jenny lynn

yay for you :-)

Hey Sweetie, I think that we all have at least a pair of... when-I-lose-x-pounds new jeans. Buying a smaller size has the feeling of hope, of anticipation. It can also backfire, eh? Hang in there. BTW, check out how many calories you need to burn for your height and ideal weight. It's not good to drop calories too low because it slows down the metabolism. :-) loyal reader, jenny lynn

Well, I'll be sure to change the channel next time I see Foxworthy on TV. That was a pretty cheap way for him to get a laugh. Hang in there.

That's funny, I don't remember writing this diary?? Oh, yeah, I didn't....but I sure could have. Once lost 100 pounds, gained it all back. It's real hard trying to climb that mountain again! - The Conductor for the Fatty Express

Does it not suck that it takes months to lose 6lbs but only two weeks to put the fuckers on?Hang in there! xoxo Kathy

I can relate. That's my life too. Except I make coffee for the manager too most days.....:-((
from krugerpak007 :
I can't believe that was on TV. I hate that!

just because you are a voluptuous woman, does nto meanthere are not mean out there. you may have to go thru a shitload, but practice makes perfect. plus, now? i can weed them out alot faster so i don't waste some much time. do you ever watch "date patrol" good tips there, man.

Hey, Lane. I can totally relate to what you're going through right now. I used to be on Weight Watchers years ago. It didn't work for me. My mom lost a an arm and a leg but me...I kept throwing up because it had me eating too much food in one sitting. I couldn't eat as much as they expected me to in a day. I dropped it and I would binge eat. I put on the arm and leg my mom had lost previously. However, I took on my own motivation like many already have. I chose one person in particular that I would like to measure up to. I chose a model. I chose Victoria's Secret's Heidi Klum. I found her weight, height (same as mine), and measurements and compared them to mine. So I now have a goal. If you check out my diary layout, you'd get the big picture. Maybe you should use some thin-spiration. And anytime you feel as if you want to down a taco, remind yourself of what you're trying to achieve. Just think of that person you've chosen. Everytime I used to look at the fridge...I'd stop myself and repeat "Model Behavior" to myself as well as ask if it was worth breaking my progress. Suprisingly it works really well. I hope this helps you somewhat and if not, it was a shot in the dark. - WITTYMISFIT

Hi, I just read some of your diary. I lost 20 lbs in about two months by eating roughly what you ate on Jan 21, 2004. If you keep your calories around 1000-1500, you WILL lose a lot of weight. If you eat 1500 calories, then go and work off 300 of those calories, you just ate 1200 calories for the day. Try to find low calories food. Forget atkins and all those other fad diets, if you really want to lose weight, its calories and exercise. It's also how much you want it. Also, what I found is if you want to eat something bad, just eat a little of it. Also, make a game of finding low cal foods. Thats what I did. I would try to eat the most food with the lowest caloric intake. Sugar free popsciles by pop ice are 15 calories and they taste good! I dont know if you drink coffee but, coffee helps curb your appetite also. (some of these words are probably sp wrong, but im writing this fast before I leave work) My diet tips probably are not all that healthy, but I lost 20-25 lbs and my friend doing the same thing lost like 40 and in about 3 months. Good Luck!

i just stumbled upon your diary and can tell you...i hae been there. i have just started reading back but i came across one day where you had written down everthing you ate. and while your calories are great, i didn't see ne fruit or vegetable on the menu. have you looked at the south beach diet? not to just jump on you and tell you what to do (cause you are doing ok on your own) but this diet saved my life. and i can still get some crap in ever now and then. (i too, love krispy kremes)

fuck the gap. i mean, really. old navy is their off brand and they go up to a size 20 i believe. the size 20 is actually in their store too. not that it makes me feel any better since i cannot wear a size 20. perhaps i should make that my goal, getting down to a 20. i'm off topic as usual. fuck the gap!

found what you said about the gap about par for society. i can relate.

i'm stalking your diary. your 1/12/04 entry is a winner. i too can laugh at a fat joke, but the obviously dumb ones get on my nerves. humor works when it isn't trite. good going on the exercise and eating today.

re: 9/5/03 @ 11:02pm - I am a food addict too. I guess we can be lame together. I think it rocks that you are named after my all-time favorite fat girl store. That is huge in my book. I'll be glad when they aren't my only choice for shopping though.
from elishaww :
You're cracking me up with all of your big plans for your clothes! I'm in the same boat, though. I cannot wait until I get below 200 pounds. I suppose there's nothing magical about it but it will definitely be a moment of accomplishment. Keep up the awesome work! LOVE your diary!

signmyguestbook.com is being a booger - so I'm leaving you a note. ;) Just wanted to tell you that I find your diary to be very inspiring. 23 lbs is something to be really proud of. I'm trying to lose weight too, and I've only lost 8 (in like 3 months!) You've got more willpower than me. Thanks for sharing, and take care. :)

:-) Hope you are feeling good anyway!xox Kathy

That article was just disgusting. I'm just trying to hope they found a small, disgusting group of men and that most of the men I have met, that seemed nice and not that way, are really not that way. I hope...
