Welcome back! Missed you much! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers...they help so much. I was smiling as I read about the pig-me (yeah, that's intentional) grill. Sounds like he got you a hibachi...try putting it on top of a table outside (one that's non-flammable) and it helps. I had one of those babies in college (lack of storage) and loved it. I find it hard to get hamburgers just right, but it can do wonderful things with chicken. One thing that took me a while to figure out, on mine I was able to adjust the grill height. Movig the grill up over the coals slowed the cook time but also meant juicier meat. Burgers tho, I find it best to get a sear on them to seal in the "juices" and then let them cook until as done as I prefer (just a big over med-rare). Enjoy the grill!

That Tune sounds like a real number. Your brother would probably be better off without her. She's got more than a few screws loose. She probably has a drinking problem, too. And to insult and scream at you and your family? That right there just crosses the line. Makes me mad, it does.

Yippeeeee!!!! You're back!!!
Those mamma's pick their kids up right before the bell rings because they don't want to sit in the car pick-up lines. Truth be told, it takes longer for the child to get their stuff together, walk to the office, check out and get in the car than if those mamma's would just wait the 5 dang minutes til school lets out.

Woo hoo! I'm so glad to see you back!!! My guess on why people pick their kids up five minutes early? They probably don't want to sit in the carpool line. I can't remember, does your school have a bus service? If not, that carpool line is probably loooong.

Haven't been keeping up and look what happens. I'm so so sorry to hear about Brad and as tough as it is, it will pass. Cancer, to me, is such a cruel disease...it's hard on the one who has it and harder I think on the ones who care for him/her. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

It must be hard, trying to accept this and see him "doing so well' with it all while you're struggle. And, then to feel like you can't get him to yourself for a bit... Remember there are lots of people who obviously care about him; not just you my dear friend. As much as you don't want to, you need to share him right now. It's good for him, and it's good for everyone else. You'll get your time with him, I'm sure of that. Maybe he's just trying to avoid it with you right now. Maybe it's too hard right now. All in God's time sweety, all in God's time. Praying for you both.

I'd be frustrated, too, wanting to talk to him by myself. I bet this weekend he will have plenty of company, too. Maybe next week his company will slow down and you can get some time by yourself with him. His sister's bound to need some relief, eventually, to go home for a little while. I'd offer to stay with him so she can. I'll try and call you this weekend sometime.

Lizzy, I talked at length with one of my friends yesterday. Her husband went to MD Anderson in Houston for a second opinion and they sent him back to his original doctor after verifying the diagnosis. The only treatment for lung cancer even back then was chemo and MD Anderson said it'd be best to have that in his home town. That way he'd be surrounded by his friends and family which is extremely important in healing. She did say that that he had some radiation treatments and that helped the pain alot.
We all felt comfortable that he DID choose to go to MD Anderson to at least have the diagnosis verified.
Please know that our group of prayer warriors are praying for Brad and you.

Glad to hear you're okay, but sorry to hear Brad's doing so bad. I was wondering if your brother was coming for the holiday. I thought about calling you to see if you wanted to come over to Mom's, but the weather was so bad I didn't want anyone out that didn't already have to be. In a few weeks I'll have to go back to get my van (left it there for Randy to look at), so maybe I can swing your way sometime in there. P.S. Isn't it also time to change your look here? Well I'm glad to see you're still drawing breath out there. I'd really miss you if you cancelled your internet, but I so totally understand. Gawd! I thought they outlawed polyester in the South years ago. Honey you could be dealing in the Artic circle and still sweating in that getup. When I was in high school I worked at McD's on the grill (back when they really cooked those burgers and not microwaved them) and our uniforms were polyester too. Talk about some kind of hot. Maybe your pit boss might let you have your own personal fan or something. I'd be sweating so bad the cards would be sticking to my fingers! Take care!

Neither one of us are notaries, because we're officials. There's a notary in any law office, and a lot of times they're in banks, too. When I had to have something notarized in N.O. a few years ago, it was $10 (in a law office). It was clear I was just buying that attorney's lunch and that he pulled the figure out of the air. Call the closest law office and ask how much it'll cost just to have something notarized. Shouldn't be much at all. P.S. I hope it really IS you!!

Working in retail, I have seen this happen. The girl was able to attend a one day class and not pay the fine. It was something like defensive driving only for selling to a minor. Hi Lizzzy
<br>
We went to the gulf coast this past weekend. The devastation is unbelievable. I could see the progress made so far, but there is still so much more to go. I was completely lost. Not many landmarks left. I was touched by a sign someone had propped up on their property. It said Hiway of Hope.

You got some ka-hoonas girly! I don't do well with those that have gone on over to the other side! But, I'm with junkmel, your stories ought to be top-notch entertainment! Good luck!

Bless you for updating so well! I'm so sorry to hear about Nancy's house. I'd send her the card, as I don't think it'd piss her off, but instead let her know you care. I'm spending my New Year's Day in bed, but Hubby and kids went to Wal-Mart, so I'm up sneaking around now. I did a little unpacking yesterday when I got to feeling better, then had an awful night last night. I always thought asthma sounded bad, now I really feel sorry for people that have it. If bronchitis makes you feel this bad, imagine how bad asthma must be. My husband deemed I was officially to stay in bed all day today. I do feel awful, but I feel worse looking at all this unpacking work around us and not doing it...

Just sneaking a few minutes here on Hubby's computer to do some research and catch up with you all. We should have internet connection and phone (dial-up internet...blech) by next Tuesday, so I'll call you and give you my new number. Things on this end haven't gone smoothly at all, but today we're finally closing on the house. We moved in two days ago, but I've just half-heartedly unpacked a few kitchen things. Didn't feel like it was our home to move in, you know? This weekend will be devoted to getting things in order somewhat.

Whine, bitch and complain all you want. We're here for you. Wish I could make things all rosy for you at your new job. You'll know when you need to cut your losses, if you need to cut them. Happy Holidays anyway!

Congrats on the job! Sorry it's been a drag just getting going in it though. Never fret my dear, things will be movin' and groovin' before you know it! YEAH for you!

That does sound boring. Do you get to pick out some kind of perk for yourself every day as well? That would perk me up. And not only could even Youngest Son do that, he'd have told all y'all how you were doing it wrong, too. ;)

Hey, you! You DESERVE a job just as much as any of the rest of those folks applying! Been searching for houses today, but came up empty-handed. Going home (squeeeeee!) TOMORROW, though!!! I suspect we'll have to come back and househunt some more, dammit. I really wanted to find one today.

Wow, you are observant, huh? :) I may actually go update now. Then again, I may not. My brain can't decide which personality is in charge today.

Lizzygizzy, I'd love to send you some things or a gift card you could use. PLEASE tell me what I can do. My only request is you pay it forward sometime to someone else.

Sorry to hear the seamstress didn't work a miracle. When you finish cleaning your house, come on over here, because mine needs it, too. You know, Cindy and I were talking, and she suggested maybe you might like a hotel front desk clerk job. I think that's a great idea! And even if you didn't like it, I wish you'd get a job like that so you could fill us all full of juicy gossip. Please? For us?

Man, it's taking forEVER to get those jeans fixed, huh? And my favorite biggest losers right now are Dr. Jeff and Seth.
