hang in there, babe :)
from tmb :
I'm becoming addicted to Torchwood. I'm still watching the first season one disc at a time from Netflix. I think I'm up to the last disc, though. I should try to actually find it on TV. I think it's on BBC America here...
from tmb :
Since you mentioned Dr. Who - which I've never seen, incidentally - I thought I'd mention that I just started watching the first season of Torchwood. I love it! I do have to concentrate really hard to understand all the dialogue, though - you people talk funny! ;-)
from tmb :
Happy birthday! Forty-three, eh? Don't worry, you're still five years behind me - just a child.
from tmb :
Yikes, Ian! I'm sorry to hear about the financial squeeze... It's odd, here in the US we often have the impression that situations like that only happen here, that in the UK and other countries there are policies in place that prevent that kind of thing from happening. Obviously that's not the case.
from tmb :
Happy new year, Ian!
from kstyle :
sad when the work place changes....but do what you have to do. change is good, right?
from kstyle :
what a lovely but sad entry. sometimes all people need is a sympathetic ear to bend a bit. good job, lad :)
from tmb :
That roast and potatoes looks excellent! P.S. Drew has a sexy back and shoulders, sunburned or not. ;-)
from kstyle :
was wondering how you fared on the HP front. sounds like everyone put a lot of effort into it. hmm, could you define "riffy" for me? mucho hugz, michael
from tmb :
Thinking of you and hoping that the baby does better and better. Also, a happy anniversary to you and Drew!
from kstyle :
"daddy in the can" !!! haha, i love it!
from dbfeb :
Happy belated birthday. I didn't know it was that close to mine.
from kstyle :
well happy birthday! 29 again? :) my big 5-0 is coming up in april, yikes!
from dbfeb :
My condolences. My thoughts are with you and your family.
from kstyle :
thanks! hope to see YOUR pics soon too. its been fun doing the comic thing,i have the cat to bounce off of, you know? he's like a greek chorus at times, or perhaps my subconscious...he can say things i can't or won't...i may keep it up for a while, no one seems to mind! hugs, MK
from tmb :
I'm just catching up on some overdue blog reading and came across your wedding description and photos. It looks lovely! Belated congratulations to you and Drew!
from kstyle :
shit, i feel so bad having said that! i tend to skim your entries a lot, they're often quite long, and some topics, politics, etc, i totally gloss over, but damn, how could i miss wedding plans? looked throgh some old entries and saw plenty of mentions...i'm hanging my head in shame :( again, best wishes, love, MK
from kstyle :
wow, congrats to you both! damn, i need to catch up on your diary, i didn't know this was coming! (insert h. simpson "d'oh!" here!) can't wait to hear all the details!
from kstyle :
mmm, we have some lovely cops here too, total fantasy fodder, for sure :)
from devian :
thanks sweetie for the comment on my little home movie! :) jill will be happily surprised I'm sure after I tell her what you said!!! <3 she is a riot and tones it down a lot on camera.
from kstyle :
dude, omg! like, i TOTALLY don't have like, an accent..gross! it's only people from, like, somewhere else, duh!
from devian :
thanks for the lovely note, my dear. :) i'm looking forward to getting used to the meds and really feeling the effects... :) i appreciate your support, as ALWAYS!
from kstyle :
check yer email, lad :) some info on the carson mansion comin' yor way!
from cdghost :
stumbled across your words and enjoyed them.keep writing and i am going to keep reading.
from kstyle :
not to be a nit-picker, but orton died almost 40 yrs. ago...i loved the diaries too, and the biography...did you see the movie? mmm, morocco :)
from kstyle :
wow, great pictures!
from tmb :
Happy birthday!!! I like your photos of Trafalgar Square at dusk - they remind me of the one time that I was there (in fact, the only time I've ever been to England) back in 1986 or so.
from devian :
you're a doll--thank you for your support. i love you!
from kstyle :
thank you, kind sir!
from tmb :
Your Terry Sullivan is very cute! Glad you had a good New Year's celebration. Happy 2006!
from tmb :
What a shame that your penis-decorating contest proposal didn't elicit more enthusiasm (definitely erect, I think). It's almost as much of a shame as the lack of specific details on your lascivious dream!
from kstyle :
thanks for the note! love all the pics of debbers:) - michael
from tmb :
I downloaded Madonna's Hung Up via iTunes a short while ago and really like it, too. Looking forward to the entire CD.
from kstyle :
did a quick tour through yer flickr :) lovely stuff! will come back soon for a leisurely stroll - michael
from tmb :
I share your lack of enthusiasm for "Rome." I watched a few episodes but couldn't muster much interest in it, so I stopped watching. Like you, though, I know people who absolutely love it.
from tmb :
It's just amusing to me to find out that in Britain one can drink alcohol on public transportation in the first place!
from tmb :
Your Jon is certainly easier on the eyes than the other John! (And the restroom overflowing with small children in parkas made me laugh!)
from kstyle :
is it just me or doesn't your "previous" thingy work? loving your flickr, btw :)
from kstyle :
thanks for the note :)
from milasko :
I am glad I am not the only one who hates the m word. I also don't like 'crust' but I guess that is just me. Anyway I found your diary by accident and stayed awhile
from devian :
thank you dear for the feedback. that is just the look i was hoping for--it truly reflects the work inside the book. funny, i was just looking at the defination for etheral...hmmm...
from tmb :
Hope that you'll be feeling better soon! And I think we all have those feelings when looking at photos of ourselves - we judge ourselves far more harshly and unrealistically than others do, I suspect.
from dulligirl :
A fellow bookseller! Having worked at a bookstore for almost 12 years now, it is a wonder that I'm still taken back by how stupid some people can be. Take care!
from kstyle :
omg, dermot is a cutie! now i'm going to check out that comedy show you mentioned!
from devian :
thank you for your sweetness. i'm hoping everything works out...i'm just glad she made it through round one ok...
from tmb :
I'm glad that none of your family or close friends were involved. What a horrible thing!
from devian :
photos soon!!! let me put the place together first--still unpacking!!! :)
from devian :
amen to that! jack and karen would be much better than will and grace. also, i don't tan, either, so don't feel left out. i am ghost white until i sunbathe and then i become bright red (as i am now after spending five hours at the beach yesterday) and in a few days, it will either fade back to white or just peel off and make me look hideous.
from tmb :
I agree with you 100% - Will & Grace would be better renamed Jack & Karen!
from kstyle :
oh, dear boy, you're never just muttering!
from dbfeb :
Here's some good thoughts for Drew. It's hard to come back after that long but hopefully his co-workers will make him feel like he hasn't been gone at all.
from dbfeb :
Glad you had a good time. I love London so much.
from tmb :
This entry - about the red hair - is just begging to be illustrated with photos!
from devian :
"and you have no idea...no idea how it feels--to be on your own..."
from kstyle :
omg! the pics were STUNNING!!! thanks SOOO much! - michael
from devian :
oh, dear--i've been so terrible at keeping up with my own diary that i missed you mentioning martha in yours. i like rufus but must say that i only like a SMALL portion of his work (most of it i find too cumbersome). however, martha is BRILLIANCE!!! she is a much stronger artist than her brother and i only know her from singing on his stuff (backing vocals, etc). i have downloaded most of her album and cannot wait to go out and get the real thing.
from dbfeb :
Sorry things aren't going so great right now. Hang in there.
from devian :
HAPPY BELATED BDAY! sorry for missing your big day :( I'm so scattered lately!
from devian :
thank you so much for actually understanding the gravity of my feelings about moving "home" and for supporting me post-nightmare. :) why can't all my friends be as present as you?
from tmb :
Today's entry ("Creepy") made me laugh out loud!
from tmb :
Happy birthday, Ian!
from dbfeb :
Did I miss your Birthday? I'm glad you had a good time and Happy Birthday.
from tmb :
The new computer will be great! And I agree with you about the wrinkles and lines and other assorted signs of age: they give you character and make you more interesting - and thus more sexy!
from kstyle :
oh, that happens to me too! people see me somewhere other than behind my counter, and they can't place me! heehe, hope you enjoyed my mis-routed email!
from kstyle :
oh, sorry to hear about your little girl...hugs, michael
from tmb :
Happy new year to you and Drew! (And don't worry about any silly resolution that you might have already made - they're overrated anyway!!)
from dbfeb :
Happy to hear all is good on the family front.
from tmb :
So glad your sister and her family are okay. What a frightening experience!
from devian :
i'm glad you like the new look..it felt like it was time for a change...i get that itch every now and again :)
from rachel-what :
well no..just a tweeker.
from devian :
many thanks for defending my honor--it means so much to me to know that people care enough to stick up for me! if anyone tries to cross you, know that i will pay you back ten-fold (i can be pretty mean when i want to). also--SWOON to rufus!!! i have only heard part of the new CD but really want to hear more. i love WANT:ONE. "go or go ahead" is one of my all-time favorite songs in the world. it's perfection. now, if only i could reach those notes...&hearts
from dbfeb :
I have a Dell. I was like you at first and didn't want to buy without seeing it but I had such bad expereinces with the computers I bought from retailers that I gave them a try. I am very happy with the computer. It was hard at first to plop down all that money and having to wait a week to get it but it was worth it at the end. For me it's all about the price. Once I figured out what I wanted I went to the local retailers and then went to Dell. Dell had the computer that I wanted with ram, DVD-RW/ CDRW, the hard drive size and the ram. At about 5% cheaper. But be careful of the shipping and handling charges and the extra fees because they do add up but I was about to buy my computer when they were offering free 3-5 day shipping and a free upgrade on the ram. Hope this helps a little. dbfeb
from dbfeb :
Sometimes, I feel like we were not given appropriate words to express how we feel but you were given them in this entry but I wasn't given them to give to you. I'm sorry sounds so trite but that's all I have. It's funny how even though we live thousands of miles away from each other we share similar experiences and feelings. But I guess that proves more and more that we are one world. I can tell you that I am mournful for your loss. Take Care
from snubforlove :
Sorry about your aunt. What else is there to say...
from mackaj :
haha, they aint glasses, they're welding goggles..... (has welded before btw)
from loveyameanit :
Oh my...what was Eileen thinking??? Poor thing.
from kstyle :
oh, i think the glasses are wearing HER!
from devian :
oh ian, i think it is ridiculous that you have to use stamps to watch tv! and thanks for loving the avatar! that black kitty is scarlett.
from mackaj :
doh! just hoping that i havent tossed out anything important in my big desk cleanup!
from loveyameanit :
Hey Poodle: Almost everyone I know is trying to grow his hair out – myself included! I’m finding it frustrating though because I don’t like how it looks right now and I’m tempted to go in and get it cut but I’m trying to resist because it will be better in the long-run. As always, love ya…mean it!
from kstyle :
the t shirt might have said "princess"...?
from kstyle :
wow, huge entry! will tear through it in a bit...speaking of hair, thanks for the comment on my recent "do".. it was fun while it lasted...always wanted one....took 47 years! oh, and thanks for checking out macka, he's a great guy...see those *ahem* pictures of his?
from dbfeb :
From the last picture I saw of you I think you're hair looks great longer. I'm partial to longer hair though.
from loveyameanit :
Hi there...just thought I'd say hello. I enjoyed your entry today about visiting your grandpa. Hope you're having a good Monday! :)
from gaygamer :
The HTML "character entities" are made by combining four elements: 1. an ampersand "&", 2. the letter to be accented, either capital or lower case, 3. the abbreviation for the desired accent: Acute=acute, Grave=grave, Circumflex=circ, Unlaut=uml, Dieresis=uml, Tilde=tilde, Ring=ring 4. a semicolon ";" So an acute e would be é Glad you asked now? ;-)
from kstyle :
hmm yes i did get a text, but i didnt know who it was from...made a reference to "tales of the city" i believe...was that you?
from kstyle :
what a nice entry, you boys just sittin' around relaxing...you told of your day so well i could see it all in my mind...those are the best entries....nice comments about missing sister and family....sigh...i'm missing my friend i met up with last week, he's soo far away now, if he was closer i think there might be something there...ok, i'm rambling and horny and i will stop...hey, send me a text to my phone from the link on my page sometime...i'll show it off..."oh just a friend from england, lalala..."..ok that's all, hugs to you both, michael
from smokeshack :
you saw your name, did you? that must have been a mistake! JUST KIDDING! i have nothing but love for you and all the rest of the wonderful people on my favorites list. it was a THANK YOU to all of you for being so great to me--via a banner.
from kstyle :
so glad you liked the pictures..i had such a good time...did you translate that line of italian? secrets lie within...*wink*
from theimmortal :
I always find it cute that the English call their cell phone's "Mobiles" ... :)
from kstyle :
POOP your pill???
from theimmortal :
I love Harry Potter as well...I wonder if not reading the books makes you like the movies better? (((hugs)))
from snubforlove :
Re: "Colin Farrell’s full frontal". NEVER FEAR!!! They will keep it in (or rather let it hang out) in the DVD version. I can't wait either. Yours in Solidarity, SNUB. The thing about your sister leaving: I go through it every time. I don't even know if I'm going home this year, and already I'm upset about the departure. SHould that mean that I shouldn't go??????? Watch this space, I may be spenind a few days in your part of the world ....
from theimmortal :
Awww, I was rooting for England!!!
from smokeshack :
I've rethought my last note. Debbie De Lux is the BOMB and I like that better. I emailed the German porn star (Debbie Deluxe) and let her know I'm using the name and if she has any problems, she can come over to the US and fuck me...up.
from smokeshack :
OMG! Debbie De Lux is fabulous, however, i googled it and found there is a porn star named "Debbie Deluxe". i fucking LOVED it--DAMN! i don't want to mislead people when they come see my show...god knows what kind of show they would think they were walking into! ha! right now, Debbie Distain is my number one favorite. i use so much bitchy, dark humor in my act that "distain" is perfect. i would hyphenate it, but that confuses people. right now, you are in the LEAD! :) :)
from dbfeb :
Since officially I think it's tomorrow where you are, I hope your sister gets in ok. After such a long trip it would be very bad to get diverted somewhere else. Have fun with your family.
from smokeshack :
ian, this is devian! i'm back and better than ever! come to my new home and say hi!
from kstyle :
thanks for the kind words....would have been nice to have someone else to photograph, but i was the only one around!
from devian :
happy late birthday to you, happy late birthday to you! happy late birthday dear ian, happy late birthday to you!
from doghigh :
I absolutely LOVE the explanation of "National Git Week"!!! We have nothing in America that is as satisfying to use as "git". Well maybe "jackass" is fun but definitely doesn't come close to "git". ******* Ok you have to help me!! I have the biggest crush on Alistair Appleton...what's his information??? Any clue? Because all I have to say is...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;-)
from karika :
